Different ways to inspect a material from 2 different Vendors

Hi All,
The issue is related to the QM when the same part has been receiving from two different suppliers.
In above case there are two situations.
1. One supplier is a Green channel supplier & its materials are not needed to inspect every time at incoming stage.
2. Another supplier non green channel & its materials are needed to inspect every time at incoming stage.
But if we define some skip level or dynamic modification rule selection, it is for the material. But the material is same for both the suppliers. How it get resolve. Please help.

No Easy Way to Join on Tables from Different Schemas

Hi,
The company policy does not allow to join on tables from different schemas or use db links...
I'm tasked to come up with a Perl script that does exactly that - allows for the SELECT statement to do several joins on 3 different schemas. In addition 1 of the schemas is on the different host altogether.
Upping the privileges for my user and allowing db links is not an option...Can someone, please help me to understand on a conceptual level how would I use Perl and what logic would it have and what would it (perl) do?

CS3: Any way to Batch convert files from different directories?

Using CS3. I want to open a bunch of TIF files and re-save using different file options. The only way I know to do this is with File > Automate > Batch. But that only works if the destination folder for all files is the same. It's not.
Ideally I would not need to first open the files in Photoshop. Perhaps something with Bridge will work. Tools > Photoshop > Image Processor looks promising. There's even an option called "Save in same location", which does not do what it says so is totally useless.

The whole point is that Bridge is supposed to be used as an integral part of the CS4 SUITE.
I keep Bridge CS4 running at ALL times (it uses a minute amount of resources when it is just in standby mode) and I consider it to be an essential adjunct to Photoshop particularly if you deal with digital camera files.
I use its "Get Photos from Camera" to download from my card reader in preference to Nikon's download program; and I open whole batches of RAW files for processing in Bridge-hosted ACR 5.2.
ACR 5.2 also handles scanned Tiffs and JPEGs.
And I use Bridge to output Web Galleries; attach files to e-mails; collect aliases of all the files of any kind (and from any folder) that are needed for a particular project into a single Collection: and generally to organize file storage throughout my System.
The only thing that I can't yet do directly from Bridge is to burn a Collection to a CD or DVD.
Hopefully, someone like David Franzen will create a Script to do that too?

MM- Procurement of Material from Different plant

There is two plants PLT1 and PLT2
Plant 1 is procuring the materials for Plant 2.
Requirements is generating in Plant 2 and Goods Reciept and Invoice verification in plant2.
But only finalisation of the purchase order with the vendor and releasing the Purchase order in plant1.
How to map the same scenario in SAP..
Please explain with details by step by step:

As far as i could understand plant 1 is just acting like a purchasing organization for your plant 2...
Where is the actual ownership of the material : plant 1 or plant 2....
One possibility for you on which i am myself working...
If plant 1 has the owner ship of the material and plant 2 physical receives the material for doing some services for plant 1
Define plant 1 as a MM plant (Principal) do all the MM settings for plant 1 only.
Define plant 2 in the enterprise structure. And treat this plant as a vendor for plant 1 giving some services (eg. manufacturing) to plant 1...

Different ways to invoke a servlet from another servlets?

I am a bit confused today. I was thinking about all the ways by which I can invoke a servlet from another servlets. I know it can be done by creating an instance of the 2nd servlet in the 1st one. Is there any other way? such as say.... RequestDispatcher perhaps?
Here is an example to illustrate my point. I have a login.jsp which submits to login.do. login.do search through database and first authenticate email and then the corresponding password. Now its time for displayGame.do. So here how do i do? if it was a displayGame.jsp then i could have used Redirection or Forward but when it is servlets? Can I still go for Redirection or Forward??

Answer: a servlet.
So yes, you can use a RequestDispatcher to forward/redirect to a servlet OR a JSP, whatever you like.

Provide a way to distinguish same object from different schema

Hi there,
When the same object is present in different schema and loaded into sql developer, there no chance to distinguish at first sight to which connection (or schema) the object belong.
Example :
DbConnection1 -> tables -> my_table
DbConnection2 -> tables -> my_table
when both are "loaded" (visible as a tab on the right side of sql developer)...i have no chance to find visually which "my_table" tab belong to "DbConnection1" or to "DbConnection2"...

Delivering Material from different Plants

Dear All
I have created sale order with single line item for quantity 25 from plant1.I have delivered 20 quantity from plant1.I need to deliver rest of the quantities from plant2.is it possible?

No once the delivery is made you can not change the plant for that line item what u can do is just make the line item qty 20 in the sales order and add one mor line item with bal qty and change the palnt and deliver the same. This way you can achieve the same.

What is the best way to merge photo libraries from different macs onto one mac?

The only way to merge Libraries - versions, metadata etc - is with the paid ($20) version of iPhoto Library Manager
Other than that you will need to export from one Library to the Finder and then import to the other. This won’t get all the Metadata (for instance, Faces) and won't get the Versions either.

Dear Nakul Raj,
If you want to sale same material from different storage locations it can be done.
First raise the sales order enter the material code and quantity as a first line item and give the storage location "A" in item shipping tab.
Then give the same material code and quantity (how much you want to send) as a second line item with storage location "B".
Then save the document, do the delivery, the storage locations will be copied from order to delivery, if you want to change you can do so.
Do the PGI.

Can anybody give some idea to how to go about the below scenario.
I have to create 1 PO to x vendor for 100/ea quantity.
X vendor he 'll distribute the same some 50 vendors and advised to send materials and invoice to me with ref to 1 PO.
So, i 'll be doing GR and IR from 50 different vendors lik per vendor 2 quantity . ( Like third party).
By keeping reference of 1 PO , i have to do GR and IR for 50 different vendor .
Any suggestion and solution in SAP.

U can acheive this via Partner Function.
There U can give the ordering Address(OA) and Good Supplier(GS) as different vender
and PI(invoice Party) as one vender.
Suppose you get material from different vender and Invoice from other vender.

The client where our Implementation is going on , has material like motors , pumps etc. of different makes like Siemens, Kirloskar etc. in his stock.
What I would like to know , should we maintain Material Master for different makes.
If I do that, than I end up making lot of Material Masters.

How about going with Split valuation using one material code
The SAP R/3 System allows you to valuate stocks of a material either together or separately, that is, according to different valuation criteria. Split valuation is necessary if, for example:
1. Stock from in-house production has a different valuation price than externally procured stock.
2. Stock obtained from one manufacturer is valuated at a different price than stock obtained from another manufacturer.
3. Different batch stocks of a material have different valuation prices.
4. Value damaged and repair part differently from a new part.
