Differenze macbook pro 15" retina giugno 2013(2,4Ghz) Vs macbook pro 15" retina novembre 13 (2,0ghz)

Quali sono le differenze?

My bad.  Sorry.
But to make it all on board and not upgradeable after purchase?   I have a few choice words to say about that which I can't say here.
*8 GB of RAM is onboard by default, but it can be upgraded to 16 GB at the time of purchase for an extra US$200. RAM cannot be upgraded later.

What that says to me is that you take your chances that nothing will fail until the warranty is gone.
Anything beyond that, you are on your own, unless you can find the parts through someplace like http://www.ifixit.com/
Most previous models offered more flexibility, such as purchasing through http://www.macsales.com/ or http://www.crucial.com/
I guess no more.   RAM can fail at anytime, and frequently without warning.   This is something all computer users need to know.   Further complicating matters is logicboards with built-in peripheral ports can easily be damaged to the point that only swapping in another expensive custom logicboard is practical when someone mishandles connecting the peripherals, not knowing what points are fragile.      Suffice it to say, it really behoves all notebook owners of non-user upgradeable RAM to get a warranty, and be extremely careful with plugable peripherals, including the power cord, since any sign of user damage could be written off as not warrantable.
I would definitely have the RAM replaced by the service center if they haven't already done that.  Many kernel panics are due to bad RAM.

  • What is the price of macbook pro early 2011 15 inch 2.0ghz

Just need to find out the price difference,if any, between early 2011 macbook pro 2.0ghz and late 2011 2.2 ghz in Singapore currency. Thanks:)

There was no price increase from the early to the late 2011 MBPs.
Tim Cook has not called me to let me know when the new MBPs will be released.  When he does, I promise I will let you know.
Seriously, Apple never releases such information until they actually do so.  That is their corporate policy.  Anything you see on other websites are rumors and nothing more.
    Ciao.

  • New Retina Macbook Pro 13 Haswell - overheating/crashing (3Dmark, Win8.1, Bootcamp)

    Hi,
i'm experiencing total freeze of the system during extensive 3D benchmarks like 3Dmark 2011 or 2003, system just gets very hot and unresponsive after approx.  10min, display is suddenly turned off, CPU/GPU cooler is going at maximum speed and only one key is working (long press on/off) - naturally, the only solution is hard reset.
    - 3Dmark 2011 with default settings
    - on Bootcamped Windows 8.1
    - rMBP 13" (Late 2013) 2,4GHz / 8GB / 256GB
Could somebody try the same scenario please?
    Is anybody experiencing similar behavior?
    Thank you!

I repeat here my post from the original thread as well:
I could reproduce the occurance of the entry in the system.log
(if you open a terminal in the background and do a tail -f /var/log/system.log you can watch very nicely what happens)
It only shows up when you use the keyboard or touchpad after not using one of them for a couple of seconds and then using it again.
    So here’s my best guess:
After a specific amount of time (5 seconds seems a quite close figure from my tests) »something that has to do with the USB Hub« (meaning some parts of the hardware) is put into an  sleep mode. As we know, Mavericks is trying to get the max out of power saving.
Now if you touch keyboard or touchpad after these 5 seconds, the system gets a »wake up call«.
This is what the kernel reports. »kernel[0]: Hey guys, guess what, parts of me just woke up. The USB device Apple Internal Keyboard / Touchpad may have caused this by issuing a remote wakup. Or something else happend. I don't know.«
And now something more: I personally experienced my freezes only in situations when I did not use keyboard and touchpad for quite a few seconds (happened only 2 times to me, so I remember)
This leeds me to my guess: sometimes (in the from Apple mentioned rare circumstances) the wakup-call simply fails. Parts of the system are sleeping too deeply to hear the keyboard/Tochpad knocking on the door, so to speak.
Under which circumstances this glitch happens is unknown of course. But it leads me more into the direction to say: this is 100% a software problem. (Software as in »not-hardware«)
Some even more guesses: The system knows, whether a USB device is plugged in. If so, the system does not put the USB hub to sleep. Because the USB device could have a problem with this. But if no USB device is present, the HUB (or something else that is connected to this topic) is put to sleep after 5 seconds.
This would explain perfectly why plugging in an USB device stops the freezing.

Go for the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. It has got a quad-core CPU and a better GPU, which will improve your video editing and games experience, even if the Intel Iris Pro GPU is not the best GPU for those tasks

  • Prohibitory sign at startup / Brand new MacBook Pro 2011

    Hi guys,
maybe you can give a little more info about this.
I purchased my MacBook Pro 15.4” QC i7 2.0GHz last Tuesday and right away I put an Intel SSD in. A few days later I got a 'prohibitory sign' error. I have read the support article for this.
My SSD is INTEL X25-M SATA2 SSD 160GB 2.5" RETAIL (SSDSA2MH160G2R5). After when I first got the sign I formatted my SSD (Zero out data) and installed Show Leopard from the DVD. All seemed fine, even the boot time shrank from 40-50 sec to 15. And a day later I got the 'prohibitory sign' again. So now I'm confused... The SSD is compatible with Mac. The only thing I discovered today is that a new firmware is available for the SSD. Maybe this will solve the issue?! Note that this sign appears randomly. After when I got the sign I forced shut down and after turning it on again the startup went as it should... So most of the time everything works fine, but sometimes I get the sign.
Have any of you experienced something like this using Intel SSDs?
    Thank you.

i have had my macbook stolen before
the apple store people will say you cannot do anything
you have to call tech support, its the tech support people that will flag your serial number on your laptop
unfortunately with you laptop only being a few minutes new, and they probably stole the whole thing with box and components you have a lower chance of ever retrieving it,
i feel for you man, i know what it is like to get your mac stolen

  • Problem Connecting HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a909g to Wireless Router LinkSys EA6300

Hi- Please help. I just got a new computer and am trying to set up my printer wirelessly to connect to my computer. With my old computer, I had it connected via a wired usb connection because I could not get the wireless setup to work. I would like to get the wireless figured out now that I have multiple devices.
I tried to connect my printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g) to my wireless Router (Linksys EA6300), followed the prompts 'Setup -> Network -> Wireless Setup Wizard' on the front pane of the printer. It was unable to find my wireless router. I tried putting in my router name/SSID and WPA password and it still cannot locate the router. I am assuming this is a router setting issue, but I am not sure what to change to get my printer to be able to find the router for the wireless connection. I would really appreciate if someone could help me.

    Hi,
To better understand the issue, can the printer see other networks in your area? can your PC see multiple networks or only your router's SSID (in order to deny any issue with the wireless radio of the printer).
As I can see the EA6300 is a dual band router.
The first thing to check is that your router being set to broadcast a wireless signal using the 2.4GHz band, the pritner doe not support the 5.0GHz band and will not see a router configured to broadcast in such a band.
As well I would ensure that you do not have any other device which broadcast the same SSID as your router, as your router more likewly configured to broadcast both 2.4 ang 5.0 GHz bands (As a Dual Band router) I would also ensure that a different SSID being set for each band (e.g. home_24 / home 5)
YOu may contact the router service provider for further assistant with your router configuration, you may also try following its user guide below:

  • Mac Pro - CPU and Ram Utilisation (don't appear to be fully used)

    Hi,
We've recently purchase and set-up a Mac Pro running OS X 10.4.8 (latest patches), FCP 5.1.2 and don't seem to be getting quite the performance we were expecting. (Caveat - I'm a IT tech not a video specialist so apologies if I get something wrong).
    A few background details
    Our configuration is as follows:
Mac Pro Dual Proc/Dual Core 3.0GHz intel
    5GB Ram configured as:
    Riser A Dimm 1 - 1GB
    Riser A Dimm 2 - 1GB
    Riser B Dimm 1 - 1GB
    Riser B Dimm 2 - 1GB
    Riser A Dimm 3 - 512MB
    Riser A Dimm 4 - 512MB
(think AFAIK this should be the best config for the ram we have?)
(Slot 1 (in x16 mode)) ATI Radeon X1900 512MB graphics
    500GB Internal SATA HD
(Slot 3(in x4mode)) FC 2 GB/s Apple card to XRAID (7x500GB RAID 5 with one spare)
    (Slot 4(in x4 mode))Blackmagic Decklink HD Pro
Xraid seems fine performance wise - Blackmagic disk test shows 145MB/s Read about 100MB/s write.
Anyhow we have been doing some test rendering but don't seem to get the CPU utilisation above 150% (out off 400%) and also note the RAM utilisation also seems a little on the low side (not using more than 200MB 'Real memory' (as noted in Activity monitor) and any more than 1.2GB 'virtual Memory' despite having lots available (nothing else running)).
The (DV PAL) file we are rendering is simple consisting of over an 1 hour of Sat TV footage (bout 15GB worth just to test) captured via DV to which we applied some plugin effects (Chroma key, Light Ray and Scrub) once again just to test perfomance.
Have checked all the settings I can think of -i.e. system settings > Memory and Cache is set to Application = 100% (2560MB) and Still Cache = 20% (482MB). Scratch is Xraid etc. but can't seem to find anything obvious that could bee affecting this. (Also as an aside does anyone know if FCP limited to 50% of total sys memory as it appears to be (looking at the app = 100% = 2580MB) as it seems we could utilise more (in generall)).
Is this situation be normal? - bit hard to benchmark as our other machines are still 10.3.9 / G5 based with FCP 4.x. The Video tech seems to think its not as big a difference from his Dual 2.0Ghz G5 2GB Ram (3 years old) as he thought it would be (apologies for his vagueness)
Anything I can look to change/improve - I am concerned mainly about the lack of utilisation? Everything is freshly built straight after delivery
    thanks - Pete
Mac Pro DP 3.0Ghz     Mac OS X (10.4.8)

It probably is mostly a 32-bit versus 64-bit thing in that the big boys like Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, etc. won't "see" more than just under 4 gigs of RAM. So they won't use memory as efficiently. A nice side effect to this is that you can multitask well with several of these apps open at once if you have a around 8 gigs of RAM.
Also DV (NTSC or PAL) isn't going to tax the system much as far as bandwidth so your maximum RAM usage probably won't be as high.
Compressor will push the CPUs harder, as will using some other codecs that are more sophisticated than DV.
Also, I'd think that the new Intels are still new enough that a lot of software might not be fully optimized yet. And in general the G5 PPC machines have a really fat memory to processor bus so that you aren't necessarily going to see a radical speed increase with these new Intel motherboards for some tasks.
If you have any CPU-based 3D apps like Cinema 4D or similar I'd try rendering tests to benchmark your CPU usage. 3D isn't as RAM intensive but it will push the four cores in my Quad G5 nicely. I'd expect the new Intel Quads to outrun my PPC Quad.

  • Digi Design 003 or Mackie Universal Pro

Dumping my Roland VS2480 for Logic Pro and I need an audio interface & controller. I am looking for one complete package but so far I have not identified one. The new Mackie Universal Pro has 1 USB & 3 midi inerfaces but does not appear to have any audio interfaces, USB is not the way to go from what I have read. The Digi Design 003 has all the connections I need - yet all it mentions is Pro Tools vs being a viable alternative for Logic Pro as a controller. If I could mash the 2 together I would. Any suggestions? I have about $2,500 to spend. I have a MAC Pro Quad, 4 GB Memory , 3.0ghz and 1.5 TB storage.

    Hi
I used to have a Digi 002 with control surface and now have an M-Box Pro and a Mackie HUI for the purposes of this discussion.
The Mackie works fantastically with Logic as it was codesigned by the Logic and Mackie guys. It works better than the 002 control surface worked with Pro Tools.
The Mackie also has HUI mode which allows it to control pro tools (still in a better way than the 002 did). You can get a "pro tools overlay" ($20 or something) that shows which buttons do what in the HUI/Pro Tools mode. The modes are switchable.
The USB cautions you have seen relate to audio and not midi, midi over USB is no problem. I've got the older Mackie which is midi only which is also fine and you can pick them up around $700. It does need a free midi in out though.
The 003 (whilst pitched as a minor augmentation of the 002) does allow for a midi mode which allows the 003 control surface to control 3rd party software, but the software has to be mapped to the controller which is potentially quite a drag. So there's no "driver/personality" for Logic or Reason etc....
I would say (and am currently thinking about) having the 003 non-control surface (rack) version and the Mackie as the best of all worlds. The MCU Pro (±$1200 midi & USB ) and the 003 rack $1299 would be one way. Or you could get the rack factory which has a cool plugin bundle for $1695 and the midi only Mackie MCU at around $700.

My iMac now got stuck for over 2 days in Shanghai, China (it's there now 20:51) - why is that, and is there anything Apple could do to speed up the delivery?

Well, I live in Italy, but want a UK-International keyboard... So hence why Apple had this not available in the shop. I actually went there, and ended up watching the Apple sales person ordering it online for me :-)

  • Brightness control not working in Windows 8 x64 after sleep with Boot Camp 5.0.2

    Hi,
I am using Boot Camp 5.0.2 with Windows 8 x64.
Wheen the computer has been in sleep mode, and wakes up again, the brightness control won't work as expected.
Usually the screen is to dark (darker than before, what it should be), and after some time pops up brighter as it should be.
Has onyone else seen this issue?
I mean, it seems that for brightness we use the internal control GUI of Windows 8, and not the Apple one that is used in Windows 7 and in Windows 8 for the sound control.
Macbook Pro 13" Retina, early 2013 (brand new) with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD and 3.0GHz i7.

I have been having the issue of no brighness control when running windows through bootcamp for about 6 months now and have not found any applicable solution online.
While messing around trying to figure it out yet again I noticed that my monitor driver was signed by team viewer...
Sure enough clicking the roll driver back button resolved the issue by rolling the driver back to the Microsoft driver...
    So long story short:
Right click "My Computer" click properties
Click device manager (lop left of window)
    Expand Monitors section
    Double Click monitor
    Click driver tab
If the driver here is not signed by Microsot or Apple click the roll back button. My driver version is 6.1.7600.16385 (Driver date 6/21/2006)
Rolling this back instantly resolved my issue. I will now propagate this post to all the threads I saw regarding this issue.
    I am running windows 7 x64 Ulti on a 15" rMBP.
    Best of luck

  • Importing Flash animations

    Hello there
I am about to start a project and the client would like to supply me with Flash animations. can I use these in FCP or does the client need to have these converted in to quick time movie files inorder for me to use them??
Also I am look to increse my storage with an external hard drive, I already have a WD MyBook 250GB USB 2.0 drive but i find that when running with FCP i get a lot of dropped frames I belive that this is down to the data transfer rate through the usb2.0 port, My MacBook pro 15 wide is the 2.0ghz & only has a firewire 400 port should I get a epresscard with a firewire 800 port on it and get A firewire 800 drive? or can i get by with a firewire400 drive? I live in the uk and my budget for the HD is about £250. sorry if this question is in the wrong forum..
Thanks for you help and advice
    Dai

Your client can export from Flash by choosing File>Export Movie and selecting QuickTime Video as the format. The Animation compressor is a good codec and supports 32 bit alpha if needed.
As for the dropped frames, I would guess USB is the culprit. A Firewire 400 drive would be a good start.
    Good luck.

  • IMac won't boot after ram upgrade

For some reason, my iMac late 2013 3.4Ghz quad core i5 won't boot with new ram modules added.  New ram is exact same specs as original that came with the iMac.  I've tested the new ones on their own in the iMac, and the system boots up fine.  Same goes with just using the original ram.  But when I put all 4 together, the iMac doesn't boot up.  Not even the chime.

Which is strange, because I've never heard of this. My Mac Pro has different speed ram modules, with different sizes in it. As long as I install ram in pairs, it runs like a charm. I've even heard the new iMacs don't have to have ram installed in pairs.
I'm wondering if slot 2 and 4 are maybe damaged? I haven't tried using just slot 2 and 4. To my understanding, you have to use 1 and 3 first. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, I've read a couple of people had to wait 30 seconds for the chime when they installed new ram in their iMacs.  I didn't wait 30 sec to see if it would boot.  Never heard of any Mac taking 30 sec to just chime in. lol  Has anyone else experienced this?  Is there a fix?  Tx.
