Differing dates in Gantt view and the Task Usage view

Hi,
I am facing a below issue in the MSP 2010. For certain tasks, the Start & Finish date is for the year 2014, but in the Task Usage View it is showing for the same dates but in the year 2015. Below is the screenshot for the same. How is it possible?

Hi Amit,
Which SP do you have? You should ensure that you're upgraded to the latest version.
Check also for actual start and finish date.
Then double-clicking on the grey timescale of the timephased grid, check if the "use financial period" is checked.
Finally your file might be corrupted. In this case, use the following
XML export method.

Hi Peter,
As far as i remember, I had the same issue.
Once I matched the date format in reporting client using SU01 on default tab with CRM date format, I did't see the error again.
Did you try restarting the Browser & also relogin GUI.
Else lets see what else can be done.

are you backing up files, or doing a Time machine backup, either way, the Time machine will STOP when finished and show "last backup at XXXXXX" meaning its done...... OR if when transferring files, it will show a progress bar on your desktop and vanish when files are copied.
Open up the Hitachi drive (your G drive is made by Hitachi, and the best made by the way).....and see if the files are there.
a MORE VISUAL way is to open the hard drive file, and drag and drop files INTO the Gdrive and you can see them visually be copied there as you do it.
To see your HD on your desktop GOTO FINDER......PREFERENCES....then GENERAL TAB.........check the box marked HARD DRIVES.........then your Gdrive will appear on your desktop........open it from there, and DRAG and drop files from anywhere INTO the Gdrive....... easy visual way to see the files being copied into the Gdrive.

PC3 is the same as DDR3. the number is peak transfer rate (approximated).
Further reading suggests your swap may work, but it's not guaranteed. If you get 3 beeps on start up (or the sleep light flashing in bursts of 3), first check it's correctly seated, but be prepared to swap them back.
If you encounter any instability or kernel panics, change them back.

Date Formatting, JSTL tags and the Spring framework

Hi all, i have a small problem and i am hoping maybe someone here knows the solution. I am using a date field in a search page, binding it using a customDateEditor, and using a validator for correct formatting. The problem i have is this: i am using the <spring:bind> tag so that the page will return with the value that caused a validation fault. But even if the page succeeds it is submitted back onto itself, this time carrying the search results. But this time the date field will return in a completly different format. I cannot use the <fmt:formatDate> tag because of <spring:bind>. How can i register a "reverse" bind editor if you will, something that will print my data according to a specific format depending on the class?

Using <fmt:formatDate> for the ${status.value} will cause an exception in case the validator fails, as the format date tag will try to parse the erroneous input.
Just in case i was not that clear in the first paragraphs, here's exactly what i'm trying to achieve: using the Spring framework i want to design a search page that submits back onto itself(with or without some search results) that takes advantage of the validator, the <spring:bind> tag (that is to say, if the user submits some erroneous data it is returned to him in the corresponding field so he can correct it) and somehow should format the data it receives from the form according to a specific format.

If you don't want the default localized version, I think you might have to do your own logic for how to display the dates.
<fmt:formatDate value="${now}" dateStyle="SHORT"/> might be close... but
with the following you can set the patterns to what you want. No automagic though :(

HT4623 I bought an ipad from a friend and I was trying to put in apps and they won't go in because it says I need higher than the 5.1.1. I check for updates and it tells me it is up to date on both itunes and the ipad itself. I have latest itunes.

I have been trying to put in new apps but it says I need a newer ios version. It currently has 5.1.1. I have tried resetting it back to factory. I have tried updating it through itunes and the ipad and they both say it is up to date.

The original iPad can't be updated past 5.1.1.

When more than two tabs are open (no matter the content), FireFox (3.6 and 4.0) slows down and the CPU usage value on the Task Manager shoots up to 100%.

The Memory usage also shoots up to about 475k MB. This has happened over two computers, the first being a stock Dell Inspiron 1620 with Windows XP and this one being a stock HP G72 with Windows 7. I used a data transfer cable to transfer all settings from the first computer to this computer. The problem persisted through 2 updates (3.5>3.6>4.0). The only FF add-ons I have downloaded are NoScript and AdBlocker; I also have several unused toolbars downloaded from various other applications (Yahoo, Norton, and AVG) and frequently use the Google toolbar, which in an unrelated matter stopped saving my searches or suggesting searches while typing at the 4.0 upgrade. If you need any more information, I'd be happy to post it.

My hard drive failed last year and was replaced under a scheme at an Apple Genius bar. I couldn't access my data to erase anything and the apple guy said he couldn't guarantee its safety. Since then I've been the victim of fraud twice. Coincidence?

I was told the hard drives were sent to China for refurbishment and the guy was pretty flippant about my concerns. I couldn't erase anything beacuse I couldn't access anything. I had to sign a waiver. He acted as if I was getting something for nothing and should quit complaining. Now my bank account and credit card have been compromised and it just seems a little too coincidental for my liking. Every single piece of my life was stored on that hard drive including photos of my kids and it makes me sick to think that someone could have accessed it. I think Apple should be more responsible and caring about their customers concerns. I have an ipad, imac and ipod touch and we have have other Apple laptops, phones, ipads and ipods in the family. I'm not sure I would happily buy any more items after such poor customer relations. I would rather have kept the old hard drive but apparently this wasn't an option. Fuming. Can't even remember half the accounts I've opened but will have to settle for changing all banking details. Buyer beware...

Yes you ARE, were, accusing whoever took in or had access to your old drive as the person or persons that is accessing your data to commit fraud against you. That is exactly what you stated in the title.

Firefox wont open and the task manager wont open as well

My firefox wont open and when i try to fix it by managing profiles, it wont start up. when i try to go through the task manager it also wont start up. i dont know what i can do to fix this. ive tried uninstalling and installing tons of times. i just dont know what to do

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
In terms of the Firefox issue. Boot the computer and log in. Then go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items and see if Firefox is listed there. If it is, then select it and click the minus sign at then bottom left. The reboot the computer and try to launch Firefox.
A couple of other things to check. Open a Finder Window (Commnand + N when in Finder) and look in the sidebar. Do you see a white disk-like icon named Firefox? If you do, click on it, drag the Firefox icon into the Applications folder, then eject the white disk icon.
If neither of the above work, hold down Command + Option + esc. Do you see Firefox in the list of items to Force quit? If you do, select it and Force quit.
Please let me know if any of these work.
In terms of Dashboard, do you have the install disk for the OS you have installed?

Why when I enter a birthday in Contacts does it show up as different date on my iPad and iPhone 4?

I enter a birthday in Contacts on my MacBook Pro and it shows up correctly in iCloud but on my iPad and iPhone it showsa up as another date - either before or after the actual date??? Any clues?

Not sure if your problem is solved, if not try this which worked for me:
(1) If your iPad/phone is syncing contacts with iCloud, turn it off. In Settings on your iPad/phone, Mail,Contacts,Calendars, Accounts, iCloud, turn off Contacts.
(2) sync your iPad/phone to iTunes.
(3) now select the ‘Info’ tab in iTunes for your iPad/iPhone. Ensure that ‘Sync Address Book Contacts’ is ticked. (You can revert to syncing with iCloud later, after this process is complete.)
(4) scroll to the very bottom section of the Info tab. Where it says ‘Replace information on this iPad/iPhone’, select ‘Contacts’.
(5) Sync again.
Now check Calendars on iPad/iPhone, this process ‘fixes’ the information of birth dates and they should now appear correctly.

Data sharing between region and the ADF page which contains it

Here I've got an ADF page, on which there is a region. Suppose the region corresponds to the backing bean A and the ADF page corresponds to backing bean B. Now I need to make use of the variable (e.g., var_a) in the region the pass it to the backing bean of the ADF Page's backing bean B.
How do I achieve this? Any comments will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
the propery way to communicate back fom a region into the calling page is to use contextual events, which is a publish/subscribe system implemented on teh ADF binding layer. If a bean is configured in a standrad servlet scope (for example request or session), thus not bound to a specific occurence of its instance (backingBeanScope) then you could pass the EL string as an input argument to the task flow and use a ValueExpression in the managed bean of the region to resolve it and call a setVariable method to pass a value to it.
For example, if the managed bean is MyManagedBean, then you could pass
#{'#{MyManagedBean}'}
as the task flow input value. This then e.g would be written to the pageFlowScope.externalBeanref attribute (you need to do this in the input parameter mapping) from where it can be accessed by the inner managed bean (the bean of the region).
Note that the above is a "little dirty" but works. The reason why I suggest to use an input parameter instead of directly coding the EL to the parent page managed bean into the bean of the region is encpsulation: you don't want to make the bounded task flow in the region dependent from the outer parent context.

Ps.: Note that the managed bean is created when it does not exist. If you want to avoid this, you could pass #{'#{requestScope.managedBean}'} into the task flow. In this case, if the managed bean is not instantiated by the parent, the EL Value Expression comes out "null" if the managed bean wasn't instantiated before, in which case you know that there is no sense in accessing a setter/getter on it.

I can't drag to reorder bullets in a build. The different bullets don't move and the "order" menu can't be activated. Any help?

When I open the Animate bar, and select Delivery by Bullet, then Build Order, it's impossible to change the order in which the bullets appear (it's much easier in Powerpoint). eg. in a series of bullets 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 I may want to display 1 and 3 (as questions) and then only show the answers 2 and 4 after, but still have them show in numerical order. I can't do this with Keyword.
How can this be resolved?

Can I start a new itunes without losing all the data on my phone and the progress on my apps?

I want to break off of the family account my iDevices have been attached to since 2005. All of my phone's data is in my own personal iCloud on my email, and I created an itunes account on the same email. I know I'll probably lose all of my songs, but can I salvage app progress and text messages? Or does home sharing allow me to not get all the music they have downloaded on my account? I'm really confused by all of this but I know I need to break off the account eventually.

iDevices are designed to sync to only one computer/library.
Attempts to sync to a different computer/library will replace the content that currently exists on the device with content from the new computer.
Bottom line, you WILL lose the content on the device.

Data Blocks - Different data source for Query and DML

Would anyone please tell me if it is possible in a BLOCK to define a stored procedure for queriying and a table for DML operations or vice-versa at the SAME time.
If possible how do you do it using DATA BLOCK WIZARD? If you select your block to be based on stored procedure then it gives only stored procedure options for Querying and DML operations in next few screens.
Also, suppose I used a stored procedure defined in a block for insert operations, is it implicitly called by INSERT RECORD function key in default menu? How does it take values from different fields on its own?

We get data from both BSIK(open items)and BSAK (cleared items). Obviously if a accounting doc is not cleared it would be in open items and vice versa..
