Difficulties installing updates, error u44m1i216

I would like to get someone on the phone who knows what Creative Cloud is and how it works!!!  I called 2 days ago and after 2 hours of wasted time, he was still not able to help.  He also connected to my computer and was getting the same error messages that I was.   He told me his supervisor would call back.  Well after 2 days I get a call in the middle of an important call that I was already with.  The message said to call back so I did and      AGAIN HAD TO HANG ON WAITING AND WAITING  for someone to connect.     If I spoke to someone from the U.S. like I did when I ordered it there would not be a COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN.  I am just sick of these problems and being made to wait.   
If there was a known problem with creative cloud then why wasn't I told about it and why did this person connect with my computer and then shut it down to restart it without first having me do it.    I am very annoyed and with good reason.

Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, let AAM reinstall and try again.

    80070539 doesn't appear anywhere in my searches for a Windows Update error by that name.
    There is a Win32 error code with the same name that appears to relate to security settings.
    Also, quite a few of the search results mention the VSS service being related to this error.
    Do you have a 3rd party firewall installed?  Try updating with it turned off (don't forget to turn it back on!)
    Do you have any 3rd party anti-spyware/anti-virus tools that may be blocking things?
    Have you tried clearing your cache and then updating?
    Have you tried turning off UAC (don't forget to turn it back on!)?
    Have you tried clearing the Software Distribution folder? (this is just a shot in the dark)
    To do this:
    - open an elevated command prompt and type "net stop wuauserv" (without the quotes) and press Enter
    - open an elevated instance of Windows Explorer, navigate to the Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder and delete everything inside of the folder (but not the folder itself).
    - go back to the elevated command prompt window and type "net start wuauserv" (without the quotes) and press Enter to restart the service.
    - then check for updates again.- John

  • Snow Leopard (10.6.4) & CS5, Acrobat Pro9 install/update  error helpful hints

    Thought I would post this to help other folks out that might come across this problem.
    OS: Snow Leopard 10.6.4
    Macbook mid-2009 model w/4 gb RAM
    Adobe Programs to install: CS5 Production Premium and Acrobat Pro 9
    Symptoms:
    CS5 suite appeared to load fine.  Ran updater and updater said updates failed.  Various programs of CS5 suite would freeze after splash screen.
    Acrobat Pro9 would not load properly.  Returned an "Internal Error Occurred" and could not get any further.
    After much searching and reading, these are some pretty simple steps to follow:
    1. use disk utility in Utilities folder of OSX Applications, click on repair permissions; reboot and try to run updates and software.  If this does not fix the problem, step 2.
    2. try "Safe Boot" -- shut down. Then upon pressing power button, when you hear the chime, press/hold the shift key until you see a progress bar.  Try again to open/run programs that were freezing.  This likely won't work but it's a step to try.
    3. Create a new User account in OSX 10.6.4 with Admin privileges. (you can search on this for the specific steps if you don't know how, there is an Apple support doc that has the detail).
    4. Shut down (or log off) and log in with the new User with admin priveleges.  Try to run the CS5 software that was freezing up.  If it loads/runs fine, then you know that your original user's preferences are corrupted.  Here's where you can get into a lot of time wasted.
    5. Relog into OSX using your original User, then -- open Users/username/Library file
    6. Then, open up the Preferences file -- you can delete all the Adobe preference files (or simply drag them to your desktop, they will be recreated upon reboot and opening up an Adobe program, you can delete them from desktop later).
    7.  Reboot after deleting Adobe preferences (some say com.adobe.xxx) -- try to open/run CS5 programs.  If they run now, you're done.  If you still have
    problems, go to step 8.
    8. open up User/username(again, this is the original corrupted user)/Library -- this time go into Application Support folder
    9. pull out to desktop the Adobe folder (delete this later) -- then reboot, and log back in using original user logon.
    10.  open up CS5 programs -- they should run -- if they don't, there is more extensive detective work necessary, but these steps will eliminate a lot of legwork for many.  I wish I had found a step-by-step sooner to take me through these steps.

    What did you update?
    Disconnect all peripherals from your computer. Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
    Select your language.
    Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
    Select Disk Utility.
    Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
    Click Repair Disk.
    Restart your computer when done.

    There's a new update for the creative cloud and I'm trying to download the install. It constantly gives me the error code 50 when it's getting 43% downloaded.

  • IPhone app store app install/update errors!

    Hi, I'm trying to update or install a few apps recently and I keep getting the error "Unable to Download Application" with the options DONE or RETRY. Done cancels the update/install download and retry repeats the error!? The username and password are correct, but this is happening a lot recently. Any ideas? Is this happening to anyone else? Is it an Apple services thing or is my new iPhone 4S not quite what I expected it to be?

    Just did a resotre and am having the same issues. IPad just keeps quitting out.

  • Creative Suite 2 Standard Install/Update Errors

    Have a WinXP based Dell PC that gets the following error when doing updates from Adobe:
    "Missing or Invaild Personalizatrion Information.
    Missing Resource Library."
    Uninstalled the suite and get the same error message when we try to reinsall.
    Any clue as to why this happens?

    Can you try copying the content of the DVD/ CD to the desktop and try to install it.

    Okay, so I wanted to download a movie for my iPod but I needed to update my Itunes so I did. But now, after restarting my computer, I went to open iTunes and this message comes up, " QuickTime failed to initialize -- QuickTime is required to run Itunes. Please reinstell iTunes" but I have like 4 times! I have to be on a bus for 4 hours and would very much like to watch a movie! please help!

    See if you can start QuickTime. If you can't, try DLing QT standalone from here

    That sounds like a daft error message, complaining about QT and telling you to reinstall iTunes!

    I deleted the iPod Updater 2005-11-17 because I was having problems getting my iPod to mount. (That problem is still unresolved).

    Hello, you should probably 'Restore' your iPod with the Updater. You'll lose all your data on the iPod. so if you have any text files, contacts etc. stored on it, you should back it up. the music can be restored later with iTunes. but yeah, restore it then, update it. try that, let us know how you do.

  • Still no fix for Photoshop Install / Update Error? (Exit Code 15 - inconsistency in installer db)

    I have tried every suggested fix to no avail... what gives Adobe?
    - Removed all versions of Photoshop
    - Started in safe mode
    - Used cleaner tool
    - Used plist method
    All apps update except Photoshop and I can't install at all on other MacBook Pros.
    Can we please get a fix for this? So many threads on this topic from other customers!!!

    After using the Adobe Clean tool, I checked its output log and it mentioned it couldn't find a "caps.db" in the Common Files/Adobe/caps/ folder under Program Files or Program Files (x86).
    So what I did: I manually deleted the Adobe folders from:
    - Program Files
    - Program Files (x86)
    - Program Files (x86)/Common Files
    After that, I was able to install successfully Photoshop CS5.1 and at this very moment I'm able to install PS CS6 (it's been already 50% of the installing progress).
    So far, this action of deleting the Adobe folders from my Program Files folders seems to be sorting out the matter...

    I'm having trouble with updates to CS6 both with direct updates from within Photoshop or using Creative Cloud. My errors are U44M1P6 & U44M1P7. I don't understand the log files or how to correct these errors. Suggestions?

    that doesn't really make sense because the m1 errors are for auto updates.  m2 errors are what you'd see for manual updates.
    so, i'm not sure we're communicating accurately.
    glossing over that issue you can try reinstalling ps cs6 to see if that fixes the problem and you can then update.
    if not, uninstall, clean and reinstall per Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

    We deployed a task sequence to all our servers and many of them are failing with the error "Error: 0x80004005(-2147467259)" I am not sure what this error means? Also is the a sccm log I can check for more details on this? TIA

  • Installing updates error

    I have an hp Pavillion dv7 that started downloading updates this morning. It has now been installing 14 of 17 since 9am this morning. The screen says not to turn off or unplug the computer while these updates are downloading, but I think it has stalled even though the thinking circle is still moving..any ideas how I can use my computer again?

  • Difficulties installing updated roboRIO firmware

    We attempted to update the firmware on a brand new roboRIO.  We failed.
    We connected the roboRIO to the computer via USB and powered it on.  I navigated to 172.22.11.2 and began the update firmware process.  In the middle of updating,  a dialogue box opened saying the connection had been lost and "wait to reconnect".  We waited for a while.  Worried that a connected router may have somehow interfered,  we disconnected the router, reconnected to USB,  and waited some more.  After waiting for an hour or so,  the dialogue did not go away.
    We attempted a complete reboot.  Now when we type 172.22.11.2 into our browser,  we simply get a box that says "Contact NI Support".
    How do we update the firmware from here?

    Is this a roboRIO for FRC or did you acquire it elsewhere?  If it's FRC, you'll find better help on the FRC forums at www.ni.com/frc
    If you managed to find one elsewhere, have you tried using safe mode to access it on the webpage?  Did you install LabVIEW 2015 and the CompactRIO 15.0 drivers?
