Difficulties upgrading Bose Sound Link II bluetooth speak from Mac OS

Tried to upgrade the Bose SoundLink II bluetooth mobile speak firmware from Mac OS snow leporad. Nothing happens
1. I followed all instructions on Bose website up until pressing the AUX button for 10 seconds
2. Nothing happens. It just keeps blinking and stuck from there.

That is the most rediculous thing I learned about the Bose System.
They don't post what their version is.
They don't let you look inside the Bose to determine what version you have
The software doesn't say ANYTHING except so you have no idea if its working or not.
So you have NO idea if its working or not, latest version or not

  • Bose sound link keeps cutting out when streaming

this is applying for all my devises every time i want to streame to my bose sound link system it keeps cutting out could this be a rooter problem?

The Bose Sound Link uses bluetooth technology to communicate with your devices, therefore the router has nothing to do with your problem. Try moving the devices closer to the Sound Link and see if that helps.
Also, human bodies can block the bluetooth signal so make sure your iDevice and the Sound Link are out of the way from where people can walk between them.

  • HT1338 cannot connect Bose Sound Link speakers to macbook pro retina

I'm trying to use my Bose Sound Link Bluetooth speaker with my Mac Book Pro Retina.  Bluetooth says linked, but will not connect.
Bose Web site says consult Mac documentation and try again.

Look what I found in another post. It worked!

Re: I am having problems pairing my Bose soundlink with my macbook pro

I talked with a Bose rep about problems pairing with Lion, and got this answer, which has since worked every time.
    1. Turn on the Bose
    2. Tap the Bluetooth button the Bose (not holding it for 3 seconds), and it should start a slow blink.
    3. On your computer, click on the Bluetooth icon, hover over the Bose Soundlink name, and select that you'd like to "Use As Audio Device"
    4. Press Play on whatever audio or video you're trying to listen to. It will take a second, but should connect.
It has also worked when I've tried to switch from pairing with my iPhone to pairing with my laptop...in that case, hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds on the Bose to make it discoverable, and then go through the same steps. The Bose rep also said they're hoping to have software update, but that it involves getting Apple's help, so he's not sure when it will happen.
    Good Luck!

  • Mac Pro did not paire With Bose Sound Link!

COuld not pairing Bluetooth between Mac Pro and Bose Sound Link?

I forgot to mention that I followed the same instructions that did solve the problem.
    The things I tried were:
    1. turning off wi-fi
    2. closing all apps
Doing this however did not solve my problem either.

  • IMac 10.6.8, Snow Leopard with iTunes 11.0.1. loss of wifi speed when connecting a Bose Sound System via bluetooth

Hello, I have an iMac 10.6.8, Snow Leopard with iTunes 11.0.1. When connecting my Bose Sound System via bluetooth the wifi downloadspeed goes from snappy to a crawl, disconnecting the bluetooth connection, the downloadspeed goes up again. Don't have this problems with the Sound System when connecting it to my iPad. I like to mention too, that the downloadspeed of my iPad is always better than of my iMac. Are there any experiences concerning this problem? Thank you in advance.

    UPDATE - PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!
You can thank me later - after an hour on the phone, I finally got through to a Senior Engineer.
Apperently the issues lies with GRID VIEW.
Open your Itunes, Click on TV SHOWS, then quickly change your view from GRID VIEW (Defaults to this) to List View and Viola!
We tested it out on the phone just minutes ago, my problem is solved and I suspect if you guys try this yours will be too.

  • HT4437 Can't find air play to connect my Bose sound link air can anyone help ios7 I think

Hi can anybody help can't find air play icon so I can play music through a Bose  sound link air

The speakers and your iPad must be active on the same WiFi network before the AirPlay icon will appear. Have you followed the directions from Bose to set up WiFi on the SoundLink?

  • Just upgraded my 2014 iMac to yosemite. Now my Bose sound link won't work. The bluetooth is connected and it beeps as normal, just no sound comes from the speaker. This is very frustrating (along with the now flat rather than 3D icons on the desktop)

I have just upgraded my 2014 iMac to YOSEMITE. Now my Bose Soundlink bluetooth speaker connects, beeps as normal, but produces no sound from the Bose speaker whatsoever. HELP PLEASE

I have now recently downloaded 10.0.2 which is confusing in itself, as, as far as I can ascertain that is actually version 11, but I'm not even sure about that.
Version 10.0.2 is the newest version and the successor to GarageBand '11 (version 6.0.5).
The '11 is referring to the iLife '11 suit of multimedia application - the older GarageBand was a part of this bundle.
Have a look at Edgar's graphical enhanced manuals, the explain very detailed how things work and why. You can buy them as iBooks from the iBook store or directly from the page:

  • IPhone5 has no sound after using bluetooth speaker?!

I have an iPhone 5 16gb with iOS 8.1.1 that I used last night with my LuguLake Portable Bluetooth Speaker to listen to music. I've used this particular bluetooth speaker for about 3 months.
I turned the bluetooth speaker off, like I always do, but the sound did not return to my phone. It has not made any sound since last night before I used it with the speaker.
I tried restarting the phone twice, using it with the bluetooth speaker again (works fine), tried it with headphones (works fine), but otherwise it acts like the mute switch is on - and its not. I've even tried restoring the phone and it didn't make any noise, so I restored my backup, still no noise... What do I do?!!!!!
I have an otterbox case on my phone and do not recall dropping it recently. I never use the headphone port so it's not dirty but I cleaned it with a q-tip just for good measure. I don't know what else to try.
It seems like the phone won't disconnect from the bluetooth speaker even with bluetooth off.
    Please help!

    Hey fashionablewife,
Great troubleshooting! I know how frustrating it may be if an iPhone doesn’t operate as expected. But, it sounds like you have almost exhausted all of the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following resource. If so, you can follow the link at the end to contact Apple Support. Otherwise, definitely give the steps another go:

  • Mac will not play sound through JBL Bluetooth speaker

My MacBook Pro will connect to the Bluetooth speaker, but refuses to play the sound through it. Seems like it isnt just me who has this issue. What can I do to connect it? Please help.
Note: It works fine with other devices.

UPDATE: Fixed this by simply disconnecting the speaker, turning the volume up full then reconnecting. Saw it on another post, didnt think it would work but surprisingly it did. Very Strange.

  • HT2995 Trouble Pairing Bluetooth speaker with Mac Mini

I can't seem to get the Bluetooth on my Mac Mini to recognize my LG wireless speakers (though the Bluetooth on my iPad recognizes the LG wireless speakers). Any thoughts on how to correct this?
The Mac Mini simply does not seem to recognize that the LG speaker exists.  I know the LG speaker is in Bluetooth discxoverable mode, as my iPad sees it.

    lllaass wrote:
You do have the iPad's BT turned off, right, when you try to pair with the Mac?
Better yet, on the iPad make sure the speakers are unpaired-removed, and then try pairing with your mini.

  • After recent upgrades Firefox prevents links in several websites from working whilst there is no such problem with other browsers - help please.

Since a recent upgrade of Firefox links in several websites no longer work. They used to be fine and I loved Firefox. The problems do not exist with other browsers e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome. More specifically, on talktalk.co.uk the links to news items do not work, nor do those to "My Account." On Barclays.co.uk the link to print my statement doesn't work - similarly on MBNA.com
There are several suggested solutions around the internet but all are complex, none so far have worked and I don't see why I should need to carry out the suggested tweaks. Firefox used to be great - now it isn't. The problem seems to be with the upgrade. Please help me to get my Firefox to where it should be.

Thank you but please don't waste any more time on this. I have done as I said I would - removed and re- installed Firefox, cleared all cookies and caches (CCleaner) - still doesn't work. As I said at the start, the problem is not confined to Talktalk - it applies to several other sites and links. The problem does not occur with Internet Explorer nor with Google Chrome so I am now using those.

  • Sound issues making phones calls from Mac

When making or receiving calls thru continuity on my Mac (27" Late 2013; IOS 8.1 iPhone 5S), the person on the other end says the call sounds like I'm in a tunnel, has some distortion and is at times not clear enough to understand what I'm saying.  I have used the internal microphone on the mac and have also used a "Yeti" external microphone with the same results.  I did try "Face Time" audio as a test and the sound was much improved and satisfactory at the caller's end.  There are no issues with the sound from my end sitting at the computer.

Making iPhone Calls from Mac Doesn't Work
Your points 1 & 2 have nothing to do with it.
On 3, is it turned on on your iPhone and your Mac?

  • How to play music from my ipad using a Bose sound link

Need some help. Is it possible to play my music from my ipad to abode system using asoundlink

I know you can use your iPad with the Bose SoundLink wireless music station. However I'm not sure how that would connect to anything that Adobe makes.
Checking on other forums where people had trouble connecting you would press and hold the Wireless/Wirelink button on your Bose remote until it shows in the Bluetooth screen on your iPad
    Settings>General>Bluetooth
