Difficulty in Recurring Inspection .. (TCode : QA07)

HI
I was creating Lot for recurring Inspection using TCode :QA07 , i entered material no , plant and  batch and Inspection Lot Creation in Additional good movement at the time of recurring inspection. when i execute it i face this message "No batches have been found for processing". Kindly Guide me through this.
Kindly Guide a bit about the usage of TCode : QA05.
KR
Sam Ahmed

What is the "next inspection date" value in the batch record?  Also, what was the window you used in QA07?  1 day? 30 days?
The next inspection date must be exceeded or fall within the window used in QAO7.

    Hi,

Suppose if we maintain inspection interval as 3 days in material master in QM view then material goes in to quality inspection after 3 days automatically or we have execute some job in the background for this ?. • Creation of Recurring Inspection Lots with Serial numbers

    Hello,
We have the following scenario at our client :
<i>MIGO_GR</i> is used to create GR for materials with Serial number requirement. The serial numbers can be generated automatically or manually entered on the screen. At this point of time, the Shelf Life expiry date & Next Inspection date are calculated based upon the Production date. The Batch gets created with Next Inspection date, Inspection Lots are created and the Serial numbers are assigned by the system. The stock moves into QI.
The stock is moved from Quality restricted to Unrestricted stock via <i>QA11</i>. The serial numbers are handled by the system or can be managed on screen.
Transaction <i>QA07</i> (Deadline Monitoring of Batches) is used to create Recurring Inspection. QA07 gives error message IO304 that "<b>Only 0 serial numbers entered instead of 1</b>". The problem is that system doesn't pick up the corresponding serial numbers.
OSS # <u>497845</u> mentions that Transaction QA07 can not handle serial number. The serial numbers are very critical to the business process.
Has anyone come across this situation before ? Please suggest solution or workaround. I tried using BAdI "<b>INSPECTIONLOT_UPDATE</b>" & was able to create Inspection Lots with serial number assignment, also manipulated Batch to change the Next Inspection date. The problem is Material Movement (322) Document does NOT get created.
Also tried implementing BAdI as per OSS # <u>608830</u> but doesn't give desired results.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Homiar Kalwachwala.

    Hello all,

  • Why we use tcode qa07 deadline monitoring batches

    Dear Sir,
i m new in qm module, can u tell what is deadline monitoring baches, what exactly the use of this tcode-QA07
There is initial run days enter what the use of  that days.its for transfer there quality stock to unrestricted befor retest date or what.
    pl guide me

    hi
this is for recurring inspection lot  inspecion type 09
for ex : if your company is food grade industry having shelf life for every product. for ex one product having 1 month shelf life.
so if the batch's shelf life exceeded then system would automatically transfer that particulor batch into blocked stock and create inspection lot for that particulor batch. so this setting we have to define in QA07 and that we have schedule this variant so that this should be done back ground in QA05.

  • Creat 'recurring inspection' in Deadline monitoring of Batches

    Hi guys,
    Conditions:
    (1) Today is '11.24.2011''.
    (2) MSC3N
    - 'Shelf Life Exp. Date' is '11.30.2011' and 'Next Inspection' is '12.10.2011'.
    (3) QA07
    - 'Initial run in days' is '30' and Check radiobutton at 'To insp.stock at lot creation' in the 'Additional goods movement at time of recurring inspection' box.
'Initial run in days' is '00' and Check 'Block batch' in the 'Batch status change when expiration date is reached' box.
i think, in order for the 'Shelf Life Exp. Date' to arrive first, no recurring inspection lot created??
But, when i am running QA07, the system automatically creates 'recurring inspection'.
The inspection lot not to make automatically, it will be able to setting??

    Dear,
The function for recurring inspections allows you to monitor the quality of batches contained in the warehouse stock.
For this purpose, an inspection date is calculated (in addition to the expiration date) when a batch is received in a goods receipt shipment
To be able to determine the inspection date, you must enter an inspection interval when you maintain the QM data in the material master record. The inspection interval defines the time period that must expire before the next recurring inspection must be carried out.
A program that is run periodically (batch job) monitors the batch materials in the warehouse and causes one of the following activities to be carried out when the inspection date is reached or exceeded:
    Inspection lot creation
Inspection lot creation and batch posting to inspection stock
Inspection lot creation and changing status of batch to "not released"
If the expiration date is reached or exceeded for a batch, the batch is blocked. This changes the batch status to "not released" or causes the batch quantity to be posted to blocked stock, if the batch status management function is not active. In this case, an inspection lot is not created.
When you make a usage decision to accept an inspection lot, the batch quantity is posted to unrestricted-use stock or the batch status is changed to "released," depending on the option you selected.
The system calculates the next inspection date for the batch and stores it in the batch record.

  • Recurring inspection for blocked stock

    Hi all
I am trying to create an inspection lot for recurring inspection for my material. Now the stock for this material is currently blocked. What I want to know is if its possible to have blocked stock moved into quality inspection for recurring inspection.
    Regards
    Obie

    Hi Obie,
I am not sure but it may not be feasible to move the batch stock from block stock to quality inspection with recurring inspection. As I checked in OMJJ, I did not find QA07 transaction code as allowable for 349 movement.
On the contrary, once the batch reaches to its expiry, stock can be posted to QI or block from unrestricted.
I would suggest to use 08 inspection type for transferring material from block to quality inspection.

  • Automatic recurring inspection

    Hi Gurus
Is it possible to have a recurring inspection automatically? Can SAP create inspection lots based on the inspection intervals without having to go to QA07?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
In Recurring Inspection: Inspection lots are created automatically, based on the "Inspection Interval" set in the Material Master QM View.
    1. Based on the Retest date, the system creates Inspection lots automatically (when sceduled in QA05)
    2. You can use "Initial Run in Days" days so that, the system creates Inspection lots in those days.
    3. Based on the SLED and Retest date, the system transfers the stock to Blocked or QI stocks respectively
You can also use Manual Scheduling by QA07
    But, please ensure that:
    1. Material is Batch Managed
    2. Shelf life expiry date is populated
    3. Inspection type 09 is activated in QM view
for all the materials requiring Recurring Inspection.

  • Stock posting during Recurring inspection.

    Hello Folks,
We are currently in the process of implementing the Recurring inspection process for Batch managed materials. If a Batch of material is available in multiple Storage Locations (for example two), the Job 'Deadline Monitoring of Batches' triggers two transfer postings (to Restricted stock in respective storage locations) and two Inspection Lots.
When the Usage Decision is being taken for the Lot in the first Storage Location, it triggers the Stock Postings in both the Storage Locations from Restricted stock to Unrestricted (though the second inspection lot still has the status 'REL CALC SPRQ') and this stock is available for consumption in the second storage location as well.
Looks like we are missing something here - appreciate any inputs.
    Thank you.
    SK.

Unfortunately no.  It has nothing to do with wether it is a user or a program like QA07 or UD.  The indicator or restricited batch is simply a single "X" in the MCH1 table.  (MCHA table if at plant level batch).  So without a significant rewrite of the software, there isn't a way around it.
You have to look at it this way.  If you had the same batch in two WH and one expired and was restricted, you'd want all the other portions of the material restrcited as well.  In addition, once released, the entire batch is released.
I'm a bit confused in your case.  You seem to indicate you are running the QA07 with the "Block batch" indicator and not the "inspection lot" indicator. But you refer to making a UD.  If you are running with block batch in QA07 how are you creating the inspection lots?
If QA07 created the two inspection lots, you should be required to do two stock postings to clear both portions of stock out of QI.  So you have me a bit confused when you say you have two lots and the system posts both to unrestricted.
Are you manually creating these?  In that case, they are not stock relevant and making a UD to unrestricted can release the batch every where from either lot.
I get the feeling I missed a step in your process.

  • Customize Inspection type 09 Recurring Inspection

    Hello,
Our customer needs to analyze how to customize Recurring Inspection. My question is the way of warking of this. I have seen on saphelp some questions, but it is not enough for us.
It is possible to create automatically and inspection lot when we have any stock movement??
Actually the customer have a pool Z, which show al the inspection lot created. Across this pool, the user select usage decision for the stock.
My question is how to configure 09 Recurring inspection, in a similar way that 01,05 or 08.
    Hope your answers.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    For Recurring inspection
1.In material master maintain inspection interval in days
    2.Maintain 09 inspection type
3.Run the transaction QA07 (assign the initial run days and other fields etc., as per requirment).U will get inspection lots
    4. If u require automatic inspection lots goto t-code QA05 do the job planning.
    Regards,
    Vairavan

  • Inspection lot for recurring inspection was created without user decision

A manual inspection lot was created for recurring inspection. When reporting results QE51, the user decision option is disable, therefore I can not move the batch from Quality Inspection to Unrestricted.

I still don't see how you are manually creating the lots.  From the way you described it, the qty. is already in QI and you are then manually creating an 09 using QA01.  If this is what you are doing, the manually created 09's will NOT be linked to the inventory in QI and they will not be able to be used to move the stock out of QI.  NO MANUALLY CREATED inspection lots, (i.e transaction QA01), EVER control stock.  To control stock, the inspection lot must have been triggerred by another event or transaction that caused the lot to be created., (QA07, GR, stock transfer, delivery creation, etc...)
What I don't know, is how you got the material into QI in the first place.  How was the material moved into QI?  When stock is moved into QI that should trigger an inspection lot.  If QM is active for a material you shouldn't be able to use standard stock movements to place the material into QI.  If you moved it and then activated QM you should get errors when activating an inspectoin type unless you have followed specific procedures for creating 08 lots for exisitng QI inventory.
So  I think we are still missing some informaiton.

  • Recurring inspection for a batch with early date

    Dear Gurus,
I have a batch with retest date 31.07.2010
I need to create the inspection lot of recurring inspection for this batch today.
I use transaction QA07, but this will not work for days earlier than today.
I tried to create the lot manually, the lot was created but the quantity was not transferred to the Quality inspection and remained unrestricted.
I need to create the lot and transfer the quantity to quality inspection....how can I handle this case?
    Regards,
    MaX

Well,  nothing is unacceptable. It's just that it needs a lot of documentation.  You don't change the date and leave it.  You change the date, manually run QA07 to create the 09 inspection and immediately change the date back again.  With proper documentation and approval from the QA department this shouldn't be an issue.  I am assuming this is a one time thing.  It's not like you are advocating a new business process.
The batch record should already be self documenting already and show a record of all changes.  While the FDA would frown on this being a regular business practice, if it is something that happens once and the proper paperwork is done. It shouldn't be an issue. It would however cause an auditor to probably ask what caused this in the first place, what was the corrective action applied to prevent it from happening again, how many times has this happened and is it expected to happen in the future. If all of that can be answered, there shouldn't be any issue.

  • Recurring inspection lot status "created" changed automatically to "Release" without change history

    Dear Experts,
I observed that for few materials recurring inspection lot (inspection lot origin 09) status from "CRTD CHCR SPRQ" to "REL  CALC SPRQ PRSI" changed automatically without manual interruption.
I have thoroughly checked the change documents in status management, but the there is change history found.
can anyone help me understand the root cause of the issue?
    Regards,
    A.Suresh

    Hi
    Pls check this link
QM - Recurring Inspection (type 09)
    Inspection type 09 process
Note : System status CRTD because there is no Insp.plan master data for particular material
Check & create Inspection plan for material & also check the Material master QM view Insp.set up tab.
Suppose if already created Insp.plan for material, then you need to assign Insp.plan manually in QA32 select the insp.lot line & click change Insp.lot icon in Header ,click spec.& save
Then system status change from CRTD to REL.
    Thanks in advance

  • Recurring Inspection Error.

    Dear Friends,
    I have a problem:
A Batch is posted in QI (Qnty:300gm) for recurring inspection lot. Now according to the inspection plan for the inspection lot is having sample size 500gm i.e. greater then the lot size. ow the system is not allowing me to attach the tasklist to the lot. In this condition I need to cancel teh lot but I can't pls let me know how can I calcel.
In this kind of case the batch is sampled and then rejacted due to laking sample quntity but to do such in SAP alos I need to assign the tasklist and then I can do the UD.
I am supposed to create an dummy inspection plan with zero sample quantity to resolve it. But it's not the permanent solution and also looking violeting the regulatory laws
    With Regards,
    Shyamal

For small lot sizes you create a plan for doing those types of inspections.  On the header page of the inspection plans near the bottom, are some quantities fields.  These qtys. are the lot sizes that the plan should be applied to.  So you create one plan for lots sizes 100kg to 99999999kg.  Then another plan for lot sizes 1 kg to 99 kg.  And then a third one for lot sizes 0 to 1 kg.  These then have the right sampling procedures to calculate the right sample size for the lot size being inspected.

  • Recurring inspection of batches

    Hi,
Recurring inspection of batches - 09 inspection type
    lets say
    Manufacturing date - 01/01/2010
    GR date - 01/02/2010
    material master setting
Total Shelf life in - 60days
    Inspection Interval -  60days
next inspection lot date in Batch is showing - 30/03/2010 considering GR date + 60 days
in this case next Inspection lot is considering GR date
actually it should consider Manufacturing date

    Hi,
Ok logically it is right that inspection date is after expiry date then no use but its happen many times in system. I do not think when system calculates inspection date system chek for expiry date..
In above case in case of expiry suppose qty gose in block stock then afetr reaching inspection date nothing will happen in system.
Document posting happens through QI07 will appear in lot of expiry only..
About your doubt inspection interval concept is to assured  quality of material  .Earlier mail I have replied you once you check at time of GR then it has calculate by considering GR date .
Ex-Interval defined is 60 days what it means I have to check quality of material every 60 days okay.
today I hav made GR which has manufacturing date of 30 days before.
So today I am going to check it then I will check it next time after 60 days.
As per your understanding if system considers manufacturing date to calculate next inspection date then in above example today date I have Made GR though I have given 60 time interval system will create lo inspection lot for next inspection immidiately after 30 days

  • Recurring Inspection is required for non batch managed material

    Hi Gurus,
My scenerio is I want recurring inspection of material  but my material is not batch managed. is there any way around to cater this requirement?
    Regards

Without Batch management the reccuring inspection is not possible because if you receive 100 quantity of material A on date X and consume 50 and again you purchase 50 on daye Y and comsume 30 out of it .. Then how the system will know about when to trigger this inspection and for how much quantity..Even you use development the system canot identify the materials got consumed .. If it is serialized material then you can do it by creating the development table and maintaining the receipt date for each serial no and the inspection date...
