Difficulty Installing Flash Lite

I am having difficulties installing Flash Lite on the VZW XV
6700 with Windows Mobile 5.0. As I am clicking on the Adobe link to
download, I am only receiving the a page in the browser with all of
the written source code (it is not self installing). Can anyone
please indicate what I am doing wrong here.

it did happens to me, so i went to my desktop computer and
download it from there, then i send it via email (hotmail) attach
and download it from the hotmail email from the phone....

There is a link to a doc on the main download page, item 5 under How to Install. [http://java.sun.com/javame/downloads/sdk30ea.jsp] I used this for the real device, Treo 700w. Did not try it with an emulator.
The support looks to be an emulator rather than a JVM per say. But then again I could be wrong on that. I too had poked around looking for a JVM, CrEme, J9, etc..
I do have a commercial app installed on the Treo that uses IBM's J9, which is seems requires a contact with a sales person to get ahold of. I had hoped to find something that might clue me in on how to "hook up" my own J2ME app with the J9 installed by the commercial package. But I've pretty much decided to get a real J2ME handset rather than continue to waste my time hacking up something with WM. Now the question is which one makes a good reference platform?

K618i pre-installed flash lite

Hai everyone, plz help me on this issue..
i just bought a k618i, and on the sonyericsson website said
that it supports macromedia flash lite..
but when i send the .swf file to the phone using bluetooth,
the phone doesn't recognize the file
i know that most SE phones use browsers to play the .swf
file...
Does k618i have a pre-installed flash lite??

Unable means 'Not working'. The video as well as audio. Flash Player was not working.
However, the issue has been resolved automatically. I think the process of Upgrade to 8.1 from 8 has interfered with the player OR during upgrade the inconsistency, if any, has been removed by the system during Set UP repairing the damage, if any. Not sure.
One more thing I would like to add here is that it would be better not to run HD Video. If already downloaded, better use 'Auto' setting for viewing. After completion of upgrading, although FP was working, it gave me little trouble and Auto settings solve the issue. Further, it is better not to run Flash Auto stopper, I have kept that disabled and now everything is fine. Thank you.

Install Flash Lite 3.1 in N73

Hi,
I developed a application to Flash Lite 3.1 and i tried to put in my N73. The problem is that my N73 have the 2.1 version off Flash Lite.
My issue is where i can do the download and how to install the Flash Lite 3.1?
In the Adobe Web site i can't find the Flash lite 3.1 installation files.

Cannot install Flash Lite 2.1 on N80

Is this a known problem ?
How to UNINSTALL the embedded Flash lite 1.1 from N80? If it is possible , FL 2.1 could probably be installed.

May be problem with my firmware, I use .41 not the latest .42 ! Simply hoping for a N80 IE firmware upgrade...

FL 2.1 is a standalone player.. It is not a web plugin. So the web "flashes" cannot be seen using FL2.1.
I still wonder how you could "uninstall" FL1.1 from the phone !
The sites might have upgraded to a newer flash version, so the old FL1.1 is not able to display it.
FYI, I could never see a Flash site properly yet using FL1.1. Please give me the address of any site that you could see previously before "upgrading" to FL2.1

Difficulty installing Flash Player 10

When I try to install flash player 10, I get a screen that says installation 100% complete and the status says installing application, and then just stays there. I left this screen up for 2 hours and it didn't move... Help?????

I am running Windows 7 Pro and I have a 64bit operating system. Is that what you need?

I am developing flash multimedia package for mobiles and the target audience use variety of handsets.. older Nokia phones support Flash Lite 1.1 so i dont have problems with that..There are new handsets like Samsung B5722 which do not support flash...How do i go about it? Is there a solution to make my application platform independent?

Difficulty installing flash player 10 on my Mac os x 10.4

I have tried countless times to install flashplayer 10 on my mac os x 10.4 (tiger) with no success. I have tried every troubleshooting suggestion, and at this point i am willing to try anything.
This is what happens:
I go to the adobe site and select the flashplayer 10 for my operating system.
The flashplayer icon appears on my desktop and i double click it.
I agree to the terms and click install
It states that installation is successful.
I then try to run a program and it says that i need to install flashplayer 10 in order for it to run, even though it says it has installed.
Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions!

Hi,
I continue to have difficulty installing flash player on my computer and am out of ideas. I'm running Windows 7 on my computer and have tried installing flash player for both Internet explorer version 9 and firefox version 10.0.2. In both situations I have previously been able to download the installation ".exe" file successfully but once I try to complete the installation I can only get to 12% completion before it either times out or I get an error message saying "cannot contact reliable source". I have researched both issues through the forums and tried the various solutions out there currently, including downloading from the adobe labs and running the uninstall program. I am not able to download the uninstall at all (again both in internet explorer and firefox and from the various sources posted throughout the forums). I have also checked my host file to confirm that I do not have anything blocking adobe downloads and have tried disabling my firewall to see if this would allow the installation to complete, again to no avail.
Does anybody have any further suggestions? I previously was running flash player without any issue, but once I uninstalled the old version to download the update nothing was working. Thanks for your help.

Click Start, type System Configuration, click System Configuration, click Selective startup, uncheck Load startup items, click Apply, click Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft Services, click Disable all, click Apply, click OK, click Restart.

Download the uninstaller
Disconnect from the internet.
Run uninstaller and reboot.
Delete the Flash folder in folders C:\Windows\System32\Macromed and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed.
Run both installers.
Make sure you do the following even if no download is successful.

lucrative buy out deal mate, I wouldn't sell it. It wont be many
months before all new phones are out with pre installed Flash lite
so if I were you i'd wait a while and see what you can do yourself
or through distribution deals first

"Having difficulty installing Flash player. At first it would not register despite. Permissions seemed OK. After trying to adjust security, I am now getting a script error-- Object expected, or Object not found. After which a screen gives me the option to continue running the script. Regardless of the reply, the script goes into a loop and returns with the same error.

Does somebody have the answer to when and how it's possible
to install Flash Lite 2.1 on a Nokia N95?
In the current version I get the errormessage: "Unable to

Well, Alex, if Adobe strategy is that everytime there is an
upgraded version of the FL player users have to change phones, FL
will be irrelevant (as it is now from a market point of view)
pretty soon. FlashLite is not an OS extension or a fudamental part
of the phone, it was very lame to have it included as part of
firmware, when it should have shipped in the memory card sot it
could have been upgraded whenever needed. The fact that basically
none of SonyEricsson UIQ3 models and the Apple iPhone includes any
version of Flash shouldd give Adobe one hint or two about their
wrong strategy (and before anybody jump on the Japan thing, 90% of
FL there is still 1.1). Responding to the original thread, if you
plan to have fun and release things for free then FL is the perfect
choice, if you plaln to make any significant amount of money or God
forbid, release your product thru any Telco operator, you can only
go J2ME or native, whenever we have tried to go the FL way,
operators just said there were not interested.

system:wm6 ,mode:ppc),I develop a swf application using video,code
as "myvideo.play ("test.3gp")",it does not work.I detected my phone
support mime as: "avi,3gp",not as s60 "video/avi,video/3gp".By the
way ,when I banding the "test.3gp" with video code as
"myvideo.play();",it can play.
Now,I wonna to load 3gp video when run swf,how can I do?

I am have a similar kind of problem. I am trying to run a video on Pocket PC (WM5) using video.play() method on FlashLite 2.1. It works fine in Device Central and my Nokia mobile (symbian OS with default FlashLite 2.1). Video is obviously embedded in FlashLite 2.1 and was originally in *.3gp format.
Can you please help me where I am going wrong or what am I missing ?
