Difficulty installing most recent iOS 8.1.1 update
I am attempting to install the latest iOS 8.1.1 update on my iPad2. The error I receive is "Unable to Install Update An error occurred installing iOS 8.1.1". I have tried restarting and clearing additional storage space without success (I have 5.2 GB available). Suggestions?
Hi Just make a bit more space, to 5.8G aslo Turn your Blue tooth, off You wiil get most of the space back after update. try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button. Hold both, down, until, you see Apple Logo. Cheers Brian

My battery life on my iphone 4 has been TERRIBLE since the most recent iOS update. Is anyone else experiencing this? At night I use a white noise app, and up to the most recent update, I never was below half battery in the morning. Now my phone is completely dead in the morning. I've noticed it draining faster in general since the update as well, but that particular app was just the best example.
One of the new features on the iPhone 4 is Multitasking ; it lets you do multiple things at once. For example, while iPhone is busy downloading a movie from iTunes, you can switch to the Safari app and browse IMDb in the meantime. So there's no more waiting around.
Each time you open an app and then press the home button, the app is still open. At the end, you may have too many apps opened at the same time.
To close apps, double click on the home button. Your opened apps will appear; hold one of them, then click on the red close to close an app.
Close as many as possible if you don't need them. -

The message means what it says. Unfortunately something went wrong and you will have to restore your iPad now. If you have a backup, you can restore from the backup after you restore the iPad to factory settings. If you have no backup, you have to start all over again.
You can download much of your purchased content again in the purchased tabs of iTunes or the app stores or if you sync with iTunes ( if you sync with iTunes you should have some sort of backup) you can sync your content back to the iPad. -

My iPad purchased in 11/2012 won't start since updating to the most recent IOS version in 3/2015.
It's fully charged but pressing the HOME button or SLEEP/WAKE button, individually or together doesn't have any effect.
Suggestions?If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, read this. -
So i have updated to the most recent ios and dont need icloud, when i go to the settings, i have the choices storage and backup or delete account. if i choose delete account will i delete the itunes account i use for music?
No, you will only delete the iCloud account from your phone, nothing else. If you are syncing any data with iCloud, be sure to choose Keep on My iPod when prompted. Otherwise, the data will be deleted from your iPod.

We have 4 Iphones. As a family we have happily shared the same ITunes account and one AppleID. After the most recent iPhone IOS update all our contacts and calendars have merged and we randomly receive some messages that one of us has sent to another contact.
This is causing chaos.
Can anyone help me with:
1. Has anyone experienced a similar problem recently?
2. The records to the individual phones have not been saved been saved separately. After this merging of all the data into one composite record, is there anyway to reverse the change and restore the phones to just their individual records?
3. I guess that the cause may be the common AppleID. I have tried to create my own AppleID but my personal email address is already linked to the existing AppleID so I am blocked from setting up a separate AppleID in my own name. Does anyone know how I can get around this block?
4. Would it be better to create a separate Apple ICloud address for each of us as well? How do I do this?

"Mobile Device helper has stopped working" after installing most recent
OK. Like a thousand other threads that have been posted over the past week or so on this topic and having tried most of the suggestions, I find myself at a loss.
After most recent update (which I installed on Monday) from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 all **** has broken loose between my *iPhone, iTunes & Outlook*. This all came to light just hours after the install. . . . I noticed that my phone wasn't syncing - at all, it just "hung" there then I went into my contacts in Outlook - gone. . . UGH, EEK, OK, so they're still on my iPhone BUT I can't get to them in Outlook. After loosing most of yesterday and all of today I am at the mercy of someone who might know how to resolve this issue.
_*Steps I have taken :*_
I have un-installed and reinstalled iTunes 5 times, no luck, I've restarted, yada yada yada. I've hidden my Norton's Internet Security, allowed iTunes, etc. *Still no luck*. Take in mind, all was great after months of perfect syncing, etc. no problems whatsoever . . .
*The two messages that I continue to get when I open iTunes and connect my phone:*
1) "Mobile Device helper has stopped working"
2) " Unable to load data-class information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later".

I have had the same experience... uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and all Apple components only to now be in a position where I can't sync my iphone at all (before I started trying various solutions I could still sync music... now nothing!) and I continually get the messages "mobile device helper has stopped working" and then "iTunes was unable to load dataclass information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later".
I even tried reinstalling iTunes 9.0 but somehow I don't have the old library saved - means I lose all the ratings, playlists etc.
Really frustrating and disappointing. -
Most recent iOS version available for 2nd gen iTouch
What is the most recent version of iOS that can be put on a 2nd generation iPod Touch? It seems like everything in the app store needs a much newer version of the iOS, and I'm not sure if I can put it on my iPod. (And I'm sure not going to go out and buy a whole new iPod just to download a video game). It's at version 4.2 right now, and I just updated it. Also, if the operating system can be updated any further, does anyone have any clue how to do it? According to iTunes, 4.2 is the latest version, so it won't let me update any further.
iOS 4.2.1 is the highest version that is compatible with your 2G iPod Touch. It can't be updated any further.

Installing most recent print driver for Epson Pro 3800
I like to make sure that I use the most recent print driver for my Epson Pro 3800.
So I downloaded the driver "epson 328233 eu.dmg" and it shows up in "Finder downloads"
* I assume that this driver is the most recent one?
I have no idea how to continue to replace the existing driver and how to install the latest driver?
* Do I have to remove the present driver? If so: how do I find the old driver and how do I remove this driver?
* Thereafter in what way do I install the new driver?
I am far from a software specialist and I recently switched from PC to iMac which is still troubling me!

Help installing most recent flash on Firefox...
I have the latest version of Firefox, and am trying to download the most recent version of Adobe Flash.
I have checked all of the help provided, and decided to come here before paying for a phone call I shouldn't have to make.
Every time I try to install the flash player (and only the flash player), a box appears at the top of the browser that says I have to install missing plugins. I have no other option, as nothing else comes up. Just that box. When I click on the install missing plugins box, it says it couldn't find any, and asks me to do it manually, so I do. Then it downloads something, and says it can't be found, so I have the option of browsing my computer (which I don't do, since I don't have anything that can fix it), or using the web to find the correct thing to open the file. When choose that, it says there isn't one in existence.
Plus, it doesn't help that all of the images offered for help on the site are from a Firefox version from like, two years ago.
I seriously, SERIOUSLY need to get this installed, because all of my homework for a class is done through a web thing that requires Adobe Flash.
So... has anyone encountered this, and can anyone help?

Go to this test site and test Each browser. You should be able to see the animation of the Flash logo, let me know on that.
