Difrence between vk11 and vk31

hi all sd gurus
whcih t code we use fro condtin records, in realtime'
is it VK11 or VK31 and y dont we use usaully VK31
or when wen use VK31
regrds

Difference between VK11 and VK31 - if you go through the menu path you will get the vk 31 as condition record from the templates whereas vk11 as simple condition record. In VK11 you can store condition record for more than one condition
type. This means you can have same condition record for different condition types. This feature is given to enhance the system's performance and not to create the duplication of the work for each condition type.
Again system is not allowing storing the record in the vk31 for the condition type pr00 and access sequence pr02.This is because if you see this ac seq contains two accesses 20 and 30 having the same table no. But you see there is the difference between the technical view of it for transferring the data from document field and condition field, so you can not maintain the data at VK31.
VK11 and VK31 both Tcodes functionally is same.
VK11:Maintain the Condition records individually.
VK31:Maintain the condition records groups and its useful to mass change of condition records.
Example:In VK11 we can maintain records for PR00,But in VK31 we can maintain records for PR00,K004,K007 etc at a same time.

    Hi,
They are the same really. VK31 came with a later SAP release and some
people say it is easier to use than VK11. In the end they are both used
    for condition records.
    Actually,the difference between VK11 and VK31 is that VK31,
VK32 ONLY work for standard SAP delivered Condition Types (ex.
PR00). If you create any customer specific Condition Type codes
(ex. ZXXX)you can only create / maintain Condition Records for
    them using VK11, VK12.
In VK11 you can store condition record for more than one condition
type. This means you can have same condition record for different condition types. This feature is given to enhance the system’s performance and not to create the duplication of the work for each condition type.
BOTH transactions allow mass entry and changes.

    Hi All,
Can anybody explain me what is the difference between VK11 and vk31. We are able to prepare Condition records in both the Transactions codes. Please explain me the difference.

    Hi
They are the same really. VK31 came with a later SAP release and some people say it is easier to use than VK11. In the end they are both used for condition records.
VK11 is to maintain a single condition record and VK 31 is to maintain a group of condition records according to the situations. In VK11 u can update for particuler condition record.
where as in VK31 u can do the Mass changes.
The bottom line difference between VK11 and VK31 is that VK31, VK32 ONLY work for standard SAP delivered Condition Types (ex. PR00). If you create any customer specific Condition Type codes (ex. ZXXX)you can only create / maintain Condition Records for them using VK11, VK12.

  • Can any one tell me the difference between VK11 and MR21

    Hi Folks,
I have changed price of a material using VK12.
When I go to the transaction MR21, it is still showing the old price.
Can any one help what is the difference between VK11 and MR21.
And i which scenarios these two were used?
    Thanks in Advance
    Gopi Krishna

    Hii,
VK11: This is price master record to determine the sale price or discounts or freight or taxes which we going to charge to the final customer.  Through this transaction we will determine the price automatically either in sales or billing document.  These transaction is only applicable for sales & distribution module for determining the pricing for customers.
The price determined through this we use in revenue realisation.
MR21: Through this trnsaction Finance or Cost users upload the cost of the material.  The cost is
Standard Cost or Moving average cost.
Cost= Raw Material CostProcessing Cost(product process cost )Overheads(employee salaries)
This cost is maintained at each material master in accounting view either standard cost or moving average cost.
These cost is determined for every material movement within the company.
Example: Production, transfer posting, goods issue- system post the quantity and at the same time system create an inventory entry i.e accounting entry for the transaction.  In this accounting entries, system consider the values from material master for generating accounting entry.
If you upload production for 10 MT of material A and in material master if kept the cost of the material as 1000 then the accounting entry in production time as
                  Finish Goods Dr          10000
To Cost of Production Cr        10000
These cost also determined sales transaction through VPRS condition type.

  • Difference between VK11 and VK15?

    Hi
What is the difference between VK11 and VK15?Bith are used to maintain condition records.
    Thanks

    Hi,
VK15 gives you the relaton between the Condituion type and table. You can create records for specific condition type belonging to specific condition table.
Whereas in the other case VK11, you can generically create the record for the condition type.
    Thanks

  • Difrence between module pool and dialog programming

    Hi abapers,
can plz tell me difrence between module pool and dialog programming.

    Hi,
Actually Dialog Programming is Module pool Programming.
Please go thru this , see if your dbout gets clear.
    Basic components of dialog program?
    - Screens (Dynpros)
    - Each dialog in an SAP system is controlled by dynpros.A dynpros consists of a screen
And its flow logic and controls exactly one dialog step.
    - ABAP/4 module Pool.
Each dynpro refers to exactly one ABAP/4 dialog program .Such a dialog program is also called a module pool ,since it consists of interactive modules.

  • What is the relation between UTXJ and JMOD, how JMOD determine in order

    Hi All,
What is the relation between UTXJ and JMOD!
How JMOD determine in order! ( For TAXINJ).
    Please help me
    Regards
    raj

    Dear Raj
Both are not related in anyway.  UTXJ is for sales tax and JMOD is for excise condition.  For UTXJ, you need to create a tax code in FTXP and assign it in VK11 / UTXJ, whereas, JMOD is an excise condition type for which, you need to maintain the relevant datas in J1ID.
Coming to your question, how JMOD is determined in sale order, it is based on delivering plant.  This delivering plant, as already said above, you will have to maintain in J1ID with the indicator "1" under declared tab in Material Chapter ID combination.

  • Difrence between work flow n release startegy

    hii frnds
can anybody tell me wats the difrence between work flow n release startegy ..
    thnks
    rohit

Workflow could be generic and can be configured for any process you want.
When you want to control the releases of the documents depending on the parameters that you want to configure, you use the release strategies. While configuring release strategies, you can develop some workflows.
Release strategies is more of a functional concept and workflow is the technical implementation.

  • Difference between Null and null?

What is the difference between null and NULL?
    When is each used?
    Thanks,

There is a null in java, but no NULL. null means no value. However, when assigning value, the following is different:Although the empty String has no special role. Null means, the referential type is not assigned (doesn't refer) to a specific object. The empty String is just another object though, so seeing it or pointing it out as something special when it actually isn't at all (no more special than new Integer(0) or new Object[0]) just adds to the confusion.

  • 7344 servo motion switching between open and closed loop operation

I have a custom end-of-line test system presently using a 4-axis 7344 servo controller to perform various functional tests on small, brushed DC motors. The system is programmed in C/C++ and uses flex motion functions to control the motor during testing. Motors are coupled to external encoder feedback and third party PWM drives running in closed-loop torque mode from an analog command signal. The system uses all four motion axis channels on the 7344 board to independently and asynchronously test up to four production motors at a time.
In closed-loop mode, the system runs without issue, satisfying the battery of testing protocols executed by this system. I now have a request to add additional test functionality to the system. This testing must be run in open loop mode. Specifically, I need to use my +/- 10v analog output command to my torque drive to send different DAC output levels to the connected motor.drive while monitoring response.
I do not believe the flex motion library or 7344 controller includes functions to easily switch between open and closed loop mode without sending a new drive configuration. I am also under the impression that I cannot reconfigure one (or more) servo controller axis channels without disabling the entire drive. As my system runs each axis channel in an asynchronous manner, any requirement to shutdown all drives each time I change modes is an unworkable solution.
I am open to all ideas that will allow asynchronous operation of my 4 motor testing stations. If the only solution is to add a second 7344 controller and mechanical relays to switch the drive and motor wiring between two separately configured servo channels, so be it. I just want to explore any available avenue before I place a price tag on this new system requirement.
    Bob

    Jochen,
Thank you for the quick response. The 7344 board does an excellent job running my manufacturing motor assemblies through a custom end-of-line tester in closed loop mode. A portion of the performance history and test result couples the motor through a mechanical load and external shaft. The shaft is in contact with a linear encoder that closes my servo loop.
My new manufacturing requirement is to also sample/document how the small DC motor behaves in open loop operation. Your solution is exactly what I need to perform the additional functional tests on the product I am manufacturing. I see no reason why this cannot work. I was originally concerned that I would need to reinitialize the 7344 board after changing axis configuration. Initialization is a global event and impacts all four channels on the 7344 board.
Using flex_config_axis() to change axis configuration on a single channel without disturbing other potentially running axis channels will solve my concern. It will be several weeks before I can return to the manufacturing facility where the 7344-based testing machine is located. I will update this thread once I verify a successful result.
    Bob
