Digital Booklet Problem

Recently I bought the soundtrack to Star Trek Into Darkness and it comes with a Digital Booklet. When I show the Get Info screen and click on Options the Media Kind is grayed out. Is there any other way to make it into a book so I can view it in iBooks on my iPod touch.

Right-click on it, select Show in Windows Explorer. Select and press CTRL+C, browse to the Automatically Add to iTunes folder in your media folder and press CTRL+V. You should get a new copy of the booklet in the iBooks section of your library.

Interactive and digital booklet problems

I need help with itunes 8 digital and interactive booklets. i specifically the interactive ones, i cannot get them to view properly, there was a time when i could look at one and keep listening to music uninterrupted . . what happened? i remember it being some type of setting in quicktime but couldnt make it work. then i made the mistake of changing one of the booklets to "movie" under media type and now when i try and change it back all i get is options for types of movies, i cannot change it back to music. please help!

I don't think so. I've been looking for a solution (how to fix my interactive booklets) for well over a year. All of them at this point have been reset as movies instead of music files and they don't play properly under iTunes 8.

Problem opening digital booklets

Just purchased and downloaded an album from iTunes yesterday and all went well except I cannot open the digital booklet. I get an error message, "Preview couldn't open file. It may be corrupt or a file that Preview doesn't recognize".
The booklet is a pdf file which I've opened numerous times on my Mac without issue. I also copied the booklet to my desktop and attempted to oped directly with Adobe Reader and I get the error message, "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be opened."
Anyone else experience this problem? Any help is appreciated.

Problems with importing digital booklets in iTunes 12

Hi there!
I'm using several Macs, all with iTunes 12.0.1 and I have the same problem on all computers: I can't import PDFs as digital booklets for my albums anymore!
There's no problem with digital booklets that come with purchases on the iTunes-Store. But if I import a CD into my iTunes and scan the booklet as an a PDF (as I always did in the last years), I can't import the PDF to my mediathek anymore! It will not be shown in my iTunes.
Does someone have the same problem and perhaps knows a solution for this? Is this just a bug in the current version of iTunes or has something changed with the handling of importing the digital booklets and I'm just to blind to see?

I created a PDF with my scanner software and Acrobat Pro like I always did an tried to import this PDF into iTunes on two ways: First by simply dragging it to the iTunes window (which was no problem before I updated to 12.0.1) and then I tried via the file-menu "Add to mediathek..." (which is Key cmd-O).
I'm using the german version of iTunes - please excuse, if the translation of the menu item is not correct! The german version ist "Ablage -> "Zur Mediathek hinzufügen..."!
Is it possible, that the booklet is shown on some place that i don't find?

Black Sabbath's new album 13 - problem with the digital booklet

I can't open the digital booklet that came with the deluxe album version. Has anybody had problems with it? Does anybody know a solution?

I'm not sure, but is it a PDF? Do you get an error, is it corrupted?

Digital booklet download problem in iTunes

My album digital booklets won't download and are constantly coming up in my iTunes queue. At this point I don't care to see them but they are constantly in my queue and coming up as errors. How do I get rid of them?

Problem downloading digital booklet

I purchased an album months ago that included a digital booklet. The album downloaded fine, but not the digital booklet. EVERY time I open iTunes, it tries to download the booklet. And every time I get an warning about not having access privileges. I have checked and re-checked and I have access to my music folder, my iTunes folder, the folder for that album.
Is there something else that I should do? Thank you in advance for your help.

Resolution
These messages occur if permissions are incorrect on your designated music folder or on a folder inside your designated music folder. Permissions are settings that determine who can read, write to, or execute a file or folder on your computer. Every file and folder on your hard disk has an associated set of permissions.
Example: If permissions are correct on your Music folder, but incorrect on the U2 folder inside your Music folder, you would be able to add other music to your iTunes library, but not that new U2 album.

I keep getting an error message when trying to open a "digital booklet" on my computer

I've downloaded a couple of albums with "Digital Booklets" - when I try to open them on my computer I keep getting an error message saying it was either downloaded wrong or some other problem...

I take it you have Acrobat Reader installed? If the booklet itself is corrupt you'll need to contact the iTunes store support team through the report a problem links in your account history. As far as I'm aware these can't normally be redownloaded so you will need to ask for an exception.

Digital Booklet "Damaged or corrupted" in Adobe Reader X?

I purchased La Roux (Gold Edition) this morning. All of the files downloaded fine, but I cannot open my digital booklet. Am I the only one having this issue? can it be fixed?

I've just had this problem as well, my download stopped and started again at one point and I think the file was corrupted.
Is there a way I can re-download the file?
If I "Re-Purchase" the album in the iTunes store will I be charged again?
Also I thought i should note that i originally purchased the album on my iPhone (3GS with iOS 4.2.etc-latest) and only downloaded the book on my computer.

Digital Booklets in iTunes not working

I had to format my PC but I did a complete backup of all my itunes folder, now that my pc is restored and all my music files are in place, the digital booklets i had purchased off itunes are no longer visible in the itunes library. I have to go to the folder itself and double click on the pdf file to open it, If I go to File, Add file, in itunes and click on the booklets, itunes doesn't add them, it actualy deletes the PDF file and puts it on a Unknown folder, this is all very weird, what is going on?

faced the same problem.
A work around is - within iTunes - to right click on the "unknown" pdf file and choose the information entry on the context menu. Fill in the album, artist etc. and the booklet will appear where it belongs too...

Help! Digital Booklet doesn't work!

I just downloaded the 'Superman Returns' soundtrack from the music store. It comes with an interactive digital booklet, but when I double-click the booklet, notthing happens. iTunes acts as though it's trying to play a track (a track which it identifies as being 7 seconds long), though nothing actually happens.
I've looked all over the Apple site for a support email address for the music store, but to no avail.
Anyone had this same problem with this album?

As far as I know, there is no 'booklet' category, but I suggest you use the form at he bottom of this page to send them an email.

Digital Booklets missing?

I haven't had any of the problems posted here with iTunes 5 except that I can't find any of my digital booklets, e.g. Coldplay's X&Y, in my library. I can find the files on the firewire drive where my library resides, but they aren't showing in the it iTunes library. Anyone else have this problem or better a fix? Thanks!

Have you made sure that you have selected All in the search bar, and not just Music?

How to use a digital booklet?

I'm using iTunes v8. I've downloaded a few ditigal booklets, but cannot seem to do anything with them. When I try to open one, Adobe Reader opens with an error message "invalid path." I cannot view them on my iPod Classic either. I asked Apple Support about it, and the nice lady allowed me to download it again. Same problem. They then gave me 5 song credits since I was still having problems.
Appreciate any ideas. Ben

Well, I know that digital booklets are only for the computer.
Do you have the latest Adobe stuff or whatever? I've never had this problem, but hopefully you find your answer.
