Digital certificate server

We want to set up the x.509 certificate issuing server on windows 2000.
So how to proceed for it?
Can anyone help me out?

Hi Guys,
I have been using BPEL for quite some time but havent come across this one.
We have a Business Partner whose webservice we need to call to provision something.
For security reasons they want us to get a digital certificate from Verisign, Entrust, thwate which we got from http://www.entrust.com/freecerts/ for testing purpost.
Its a p12 file and I cant seem to install it on our bpel server.
Once its installed on the server they would take a cer file exported from the p12 file.
Has someone done this already. It would be a great help

Its not creating any log file.
I have updated in the webutil.cfg file as mentioned below

Personal suggestion, we can use two namespaces for your Exchange 2013:
Autodiscover.domain.com (Used for autodiscover service)
Mail.domain.com (used for all Exchange services external and internal URLs)
Please pointed mail.domain.com and autodiscover.domain.com to your internet facing CAS 2013.

installed on the same server)
a. Open the web browser, go to http://IP_of_CA_server/certsrv/
b. Select "Retrieve the CA certificate or certificate revocation list", and click Next
c. Select "Base 64 encoded" and click "Download CA certificate"
d. Click Open, and click "Install certificate"
e. Click Next
f. Select "Place all certificates in the following store" and click Browse
g. Check the "Show physical stores" box
h. Expand "Trusted root certification authorities", select Local Computer, and click Ok
i. Click Next, FINISH, and click Ok for "The import was successful" box

Ical and digital certificates

I accidentally deleted the digital certificate that is buried someplace in a folder in the operating system, and now iCal won't sync, and it wont connect to the apple server. I have 6 other Macs and they all work fine. They are all pretty new. But my laptop won't sync and won't connect.
Does anyone know how to get the digital certificates back into that folder?
Also my MSN messenger won't work because I deleted that certificate.
Thats the last time I play around with something I know nothing about.

can anyone provide insight into the ability of the Forms server to work with client side digital certificates? all of the 8i documentation seems to indicates compliance with standard PKI implementations, and even mentions client side certificates explicitely. However, nothing clearly indicates the ability to use client side certs with the Forms server.

way for my companys app.For a production server, you're much better off paying for a server-cert from one of the recognized CAs - Verisign, Thawte, et. al.
I am still interested though but I wonder if I need
access to a web server to install openSSL and run a
CA. For development purposes, could I install this on
my home computer and set up a CA that way?You don't need a webserver to be a CA, nor to sign a certificate - I do everything from the command-line. The web-server is the thing that's going to use the resulting cert - it's not needed to issue one.

Coldfusion secure FTP & digital certificates

Hello !
I am currently in the process of developing a corporate CF intranet site that is behind a corporate firewall and part of the application will need to send a data file (FTP put) to a remote FTP server using secured FTP (FTPS). I have never used Coldfusion before for either secured or unsecured FTP. I am planning on using the CFFTP tag to open the connection and send the data file but I have a number of other questions regarding the use & installation of the digital certificates.:
Current development environment setup:
CF version 9 standard edition running on Windows Server 2008 R2
Microsoft IIS 7
Current production environment setup:
CF version 9 enterprise edition running on Windows Server 2008 R2

1. The data file that is being created must be sent to a finanacial institution and they will be providing a digital certificate (p12 format) to me. What do I do with that certificate once I get it ? I have installed SSL certificates before on http web sites with IIS without any issues but I am not sure what to do with the certificate for secured FTP. Do I import the certificate into IIS using the MMC snap on or does the certificate need to be integrated into Coldfusion in some other way and if so, what needs to be done ?
2. What other steps need to be prior to being able to use the CFFTP tag for a secured FTP send ?
I would appreciate as much help as possible as I haven't used CF for FTP before.

1. I have imported the certificate into the cacerts file by using the following command:
     keytool -import -keystore ../lib/security/cacerts -alias x -file c:\downloads\y
     where x was the alias name I assigned and y was the certificate name (extension of 'der').
I tried importing a p12 and p7b certificate but neither of those worked. I received the message 'Not a valid X.509 Certificate' from the command. I then successfully imported a Base64 certificate (der). I believe the certificate has been successfully imported because I ran the following and it shows the MD5 fingerprint:
     keytool -list -alias x -keystore ../lib/security/cacerts
     where x is my alias name I assigned in the original import
2. I then ran the following CFM command replacing the '*'s with the appropriate server name, user name, and password
     <cfftp action="open" connection="conn1" secure="yes" server="********" username="******" password="*****" port="21"
     </cfftp>
     I am getting the CF error
An error occurred while establishing an sFTP connection.
Verify your connection attributes: username, password, server, fingerprint, port, key, connection, proxyServer, and secure (as applicable). Error: User Authentication failed.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Does GSS supports http KA using digital certificate?

I need to check web servers that permits only client access using the proper digital certificate.
Is there a way to import the certificate to the gss so it can run the http KA using the certificate.
I am not talking about the certificate to access the GSS GUI.

Hi Robson,
The HTTP KA on the GSS is very basic. It will just do a plain HTTP request against the server to see if it's alive. Unfortunately, client certificates are not supported.

Cannot log into site using digital certificate

On a Windows XP machine digital certificates have been imported into the certificate store using the Certificate Import Wizard. And verified using IE7 to login into an internal site.
In FireFox, when I choose "Digital Certificate" as a login option I get the following message:
The page requires a client certificate
The page you are attempting to access requires your browser to have a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) client certificate that the Web server will recognize. The client certificate is used for identifying you as a valid user of the resource.

You can try to export the certificate in IE and import the certificate in Firefox.
Tools > Options > Advanced : Encryption: Certificates - View Certificates

I have purchased a verisign digital certificate, installed successfully in webserver
container.
What I need is to configure a webserver site or alias to hide /portal/dt url string, just typing
https://midominio.com/ authentication page should appear.
How can I configure this in Sun Java Webserver?

WebVPN-Problem with Digital Certificate and AAA

Hello everyone,
I have a problem during configuring WebVPN on ASA 5520 using AAA and digital certificate of Microsoft. (MSCEP)
Currently, The WebVPN service is enabled and it worked well with AAA (local or external) only,
But now, I want to use both AAA and Certificate for most secure-I mean that the users will be authenticated 2 times (firstly, it is checked by valid certificate then user/pass is second one).
Here are details:
I tried installation CA server (Microsoft CA service combined with SCEP) and register ASA with CA server (ASA work as subordinate CA)-->these steps is ok, asa has registed, then client use web-browser request CA and it's issued by CA administrator then it is installed on web-browser.
Testing:
The Client tried to test with access SSL VPN, the welcome WEBVPN message prompt user/pass but the message is "Logon Failed" before I give user and pass,
Does anyone know and advise ?

I can access the network in windows with the following configutaion:
BUT in my lion, I had import the digital certifacte. While I connected to the network, I was prompted:
Enter the name and password for this 802.1X network
I could not get the opportunity to select my digital certificate? But my colleague can.
iPhone Configuration Utility seemed to provide wireless 802.1X authentication configuration file . And in my work background, most people use the windows. And there isnot a lion server to provide a configuration file.

I'm in sync, but BOA login can't locate digital certificate

I need to process bank transfers form my ipad using BOA's CashPro application. This application requires a digital certificate. I have synced Firefox Home with my laptop and and see my tabs and bookmarks, but the BOA login bombs out due to no digital certificate. I even installed an Identity Certificate on the ipad (i.e. BOA's Digital Certificate, but that didn't help. Will I be able to do this?

You can generate a new sync key for yourself. This will delete the info on the server and upload a new copy from your computer encrypted with the new sync key.
