Digital Clock Widget for OS X

Hi, I've just bought a Mac Air (OS X 10.8). Does anyone know of any digital world clock widgets for dashboard? I'd like something similar to the digital clock available on my iphone where I can show the time and date of various countries around the world simultaneously.
I've searched for hours and cant find many digital clock widgets at all. Can anyone help?
Thanks

The links don't allow to download anymore, at least not from Firefox and I cannot spend all my times juggling between three web browsers because now web development is becoming browser-targeted. I am just getting a page describing the applications. Links either go to a widget browser or to Apple's page describing the Mac computer. Moreover, the Mac page somehow disables keyboard shortcut for Back in Firefox, which is an additional unnecessary annoyance. I needed a digital clock widget to work around the fact that the time displayed in the upper right corner of the screen is in a too small font for me to read comfortably, and there is no way to enlarge the font. Seems I have to take the plunge and write myself a small application, quite bad that something so basic is not out of the box and download links are always broken or outdated.

  • [SOLVED] Thunderbird integration with KDE Digital Clock Widget

    Is there a way to integrate Thunderbird's Lightning calendar extension with the KDE Digital Clock widget (default clock) so that clicking on it shows you your calendar events? Something similar like using the Evolution Data Server Mirror to sync with the GNOME Panel clock.
    I have tried fiddling with various widgets, exporting iCalendars and importing with Personal Information settings, but nothing has worked so far.

    Hello
    I use these steps in Thunderbird 31:
    "New Calendar" >> "On the Network" >> "iCalendar (ICS)"
    and use the "file://" protocol for the "Location" and give it the path of iCalendar file I use in the Akonadi/KOrganizer, i.e: "file:///home/MYNAME/calendar.ics"
    also check the calndar "Properties" and uncheck the "Read Only", if it is necessary.

    What's the problem?

    Restart your device , then open the maps - Open Weather from Menu - Then add the widget ( don't close map & Weather until the widget shows the data ) Or , Try to download another application from Nokia Store , You definitely find more suitable apps than the inbuilt weather system,

  • Why there are no worlwide clocks widget for middle-east region?

    Hi,
    I am trying to add a new clockword to my dashboard. I am looking for the coutries in middle-east but cant' find them in the list. I have only America, Africa, Asia etc.. but nothing related to Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Syria etc... Why?
    Thanks for any help you can provide
    Cheers!
    M.

    Hey all. Thanks for the replies! Here are mine to yours:
    Erik: Not the video.
    Erik: I checked the plug ins. Nothing there, but I did do what you said and moved the regions to new tracks, muted the old ones and got the results I needed. I will take the No Imput advice, too.
    LEonard: No hidded tracks. I know because this occured to me and I went looking! No such luck.
    Q: I'm going to look into this one and I will let you know.
    All: I find that Logic has a way of screwing with me in this and similar ways. Often tracks will play ghost music, regions that used to play suddenly dont. Tracks unexplainably become "Safe soloed" and even certain edits seem to vanish. It's a little weird and I don't know why. But I cant afford to switch to ProTools, so I'll have to learn to live with it. Maybe I neeed better templates?
    Thanks for all your help!

  • Dashboard Clock Widget like iPhone Clock

    I've had an iPhone for a couple of years, and this week I'm finally making the switch from PC to Mac. One of the really simple questions I have is where to find a clock widget for the dashboard that functions like the iPhone clock with time zone clocks, timer, and alarms. Everything I've managed to dig up so far is too bloated for simple daily tasks like quickly checking what time zone a client is in before calling. Is there anything out there someone can recommend that is as easy to use and straightforward as the iPhone clock app except for the dashboard?

    Actually if you want to do a bit of tinkering you can change the clock face to ANY city town or village you likr just follow this link

  • World Clock widget in Dashboard - missing hands

    Prior to Daylight Saving Time (South Australia) all clock hands [hour, minute etc.] on the world clock widget in the Dashboard were visible.
    However, the day after the introduction of Daylight Saving Time the clock hands had gone. I've heard of people who believe that curtains fade due to DST, but clock hands? :-)))
    I downloaded another world clock ('Stationsklok') but that was also minus the clock hands. The same was done with a digital clock widget ('Flip Clock') and the numerals were missing.
    I removed the original world clock and replaced it with another - no luck. Trashing the world clock plist files has not brought any luck either.
    Can anyone suggest anything else that I can try?

  • Clock widget unreadable on C7 after update to Bell...

    After I updated my C7 to Belle I noticed that the date on clock widget on the homescreen is completely unreadable because the date is written in dark grey on black. How can I fix this problem?
    A photo demonstrating the problem is attached.

    I have an N8 and I agree the date is unreadable.
    I hope Nokia has been reading all the comments about this issue and the requests of bringing back the Anna style Time, Date and Profile widget as I hate the look of the new digital clock and was quite fond of Anna's.
    The only thing I can suggest at the moment is looking for a 3rd party clock. I have seen a couple around (not on Ovi Store) that have just the clock and a larger date but the couple I have tried have failed to install saying component already built in or do not open the clock/alarms or calendar when clicked.
    Please Nokia bring back Anna's Time and Profile widget either in FP1/2 or via Ovi Store.

  • Where's the Digital Clock and how do you turn off 4G to go to 3G?

    Ok, just did the update and so far so good... exccept for two things.
    1) I had a digital clock on my home page prior to the update. After the update, it's gone and I can't find a widget for it. There's one for the anaolg clock but seriously, who wants an analog clock? Is there a way to get the old one back or do I need to find an app for a digital clock. I tried running some digital clock apps when I first got the RAZR but none of them worked.
    2) My phone, prior to the update, was left in 3G mode 90% of the time to conserve battery life. Now that the update is done, it's been in 4G mode all day and I can't find a way to revert it back. I have now had to recharge my RAZR after basic usage that I would do in 3g mode that would've left the battery with plenty of charge. Please tell me there's someway to get it back into 3G mode.
    Thanks in advance!

  • How to output the digital clock and synchronization signal from the NI USB-6211

    Hello,
    I need to connect the NI USB-6211 to control a digital to analog convertor chip (AD5541). However, this chip requires three input signals :1) Clock input, 2) Logic input or a synchronization signal  and 3) Signal Serial Data input (CS, SCLK, DIN).
    how to output the digital clock and the synchronization signal from the NI USB-6211?

    Hi SaberSaber,
    You should be able to use the counters to generate a pulse train that could be used for clock and synch purposes.
    Hope this helps.  Let us know if you have more questions.

  • Making a digital clock

    Hello, I am learning java and i can make simple programs. i have only taken 2 years of java programmin in school.
    i wanted to try something harder, i don't know if i am ready for it or not.
    I want to make a digital clock in java, and maybe modify it by adding buttons to increase hours and mins.
    I have kinda starte it. but i need a lot of help.

    by the nature of your questions, it appears that you don't know much about swing, timers, and java date time functions. We can't just tell you what you need for your clock, otherwise we'd be building it for you. What you need to do is study these areas and learn for yourself. I suggest that you start with the Sun Java Swing tutorials. Start out here:

  • Digital clock which randomly selects different colors from Applet

    Hi,
    I relatively new to java, what I'm trying to do is list about five colours in my Applet and pass the colours into my java code, and maybe the font.....
    I want to be able to Display a digital clock which randomly selects different colours which were passed from my Applet
    Thanks for any help
    Zip
    Clock Code:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.applet.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.text.*;
    public class dclock extends Applet implements Runnable{
    Thread animThread = null;
    int delay = 1000;
    public void init(){}
    public void paint (Graphics g){
    // get the time
    Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance();
    Date date = cal.getTime();
    // format it and display it
    DateFormat dateFormatter =DateFormat.getTimeInstance();
    g.drawString(dateFormatter.format(date), 5, 10);
    public void start(){
    if(animThread == null){
    animThread = new Thread(this,"Animation");
    animThread.start();
    public void stop(){animThread = null;}
    public void run(){
    while(animThread !=null){
    try{ Thread.sleep(delay);}
    catch(InterruptedException e){};
    repaint();
    //sec++;
    }

    Why doesn't the clock just decide what colour it is going to be? If you need to pass the colour choices in, just let the clock accept a collection of colours in its constructor or something. I don't understand what bit of this you are having problems with as you haven't really explained. Please also use code tags.

  • Digital clock timer to turn on/off lights at certain times

    Hello i am an undergraduate student curently doing a project.
    I am making a automated plant growing system.
    i need help in creating a VI that can use a digital clock to input a time for grow lights and a water pump to turn on and off.
    Il will be using GPIB power supplies to power both.

    Hi,
    Graham is currently out of the office, so I am taking over dealing with this support request.
    I have attached a VI which shows an example of how to read the current time from the Time Stamp, and then specify a Start and End Time for the lights in your system to turn on. The example currently just activates an LED on the Front Panel, but you should be able to easily change this to an operation that sends the different string commands you require to your power supply for the lights and the water pump to turn them on and off respectively.
    Regards,
    Dan

    You should post to the multisim board. You can click on Options and request that the moderator move your question. It really had nothing to do with an NI digital I/O device.

  • Analog or Digital Clock in movie

    Hi,
    I am wanting to put a analog or digital clock in a video I am making for a class. I doesn't have to show the real time but hopefully it will have hours:minutes:seconds. Does anyone know where I can get one?
    Thanks.
    Andy

    If you have access to After Effects, you can do it under the "Textt" filter, then click on "Numbers." Pick a font, and then you can set what you need under the format tab. That should square you away. Or you could make your own digital clock with numbers in FCP, or with photoshop layers and set it up on a timeline manually. You could set up your incoming clip for one frame and just drop in the layers and theyll drop in sequence instead of dropping in every number one by one. All you would have to do is go through the trouble of making 01-59. Hope that helps.
