Retail Store problems?

Can't really find a topic to give feedback on retail stores. The Cambridge MA store has been short staffed for a while, so you can never get help. Today I called to see if the 160GB ipods were there, and was told yes. I made the trip down only to be told by someone else they never had them and don't know where they're coming in. And they were too busy to find out when they might come in.
I know the folks can get overwhelmed, but this isn't the first time this has happened. Thought someone at Apple should know the store needs a little shot in the arm

North Shore store yesterday was same situation. Staff did not seem knowledgeable as to WHEN they would receive the new iPods, there was no sign of them, not even any promo material... they also hadn't heard about Steve Jobs $100 letter. I have had previous issues there too...when the new iMacs were released, they did not even know that their was a new wireless keyboard, they had all the old signs still up (on the new iMacs!)
Also, It does not speak well for using the MAC for point of sale when 3 out of the last 3 times, they have had a problem with processing my purchases and have had to change to the other terminal.
All 3 times it was exactly the same staff members on the front end (although the guy at the Genius Bar yesterday was new)!

Buying unlocked iphone 5 in and Apple retail store in Canada

Hi,
My problem:
- I need to buy an unlocked iPhone 5.
- I have a gift card to the tune of over $1200.00 for the Apple store in Canada. I want to use this gift card tobuy the iPhone 5
- Apple store Canada gift cards cannot be used on the online store.
- When I call retail Apple stores directly they tell me they don't sell unlocked versions of the iPhone 5, and they don't know if they ever will.
- When I call Apple store online support sometimes they tell me this is correct, and others they tell me that the Apple retail stores( in CANADA) do sell it unlocked.
What`s the real answer.... Has anyone in Canada bought an unlocked iPhone 5 in the apple store?
Definition of "unlocked" : The phone is not locked to any carrier even after initial sim card is inserted. The sim card could be switched to any different network and it would work. i.e ( Bell, Rogers, Fido, Virgin) or when I go to the states I could put in an AT&T or T-mobile card and it would work just fine.

FiOS Digital Voice and Internet Reoccurring Problem with Outage at Same Time Every Night

I was hoping someone could help me out or enlighten me as to what may be going on.
I've been having problems the past two nights (5/17 and 5/18) where at 12:45am CST, both the internet and Digital Voice service go out. The problem with this is that the outage trips our home alarm due to the dropped connection (which scares our child) and disrupts any large downloads (e.g. Steam purchases) that I may have set up to run during the night. After 5-10 minutes, service is restored and works properly.
We haven't had problems of this nature since we switched to digital voice around two months ago, and we tested our alarm system with the provider to ensure it works properly with Digital Voice (it does).
Does anyone know if Verizon has been doing backend updates or something of that nature that would knock service out two nights in a row at the same time?
I haven't received any information indicating there are outages, planned or otherwise, in our area, and the Verizon support staff I contacted, while polite and courteous, did not have an answer for me. I am hoping that we don't have to endure a third night of this.

To follow up on this, we again had another occurance at 12:45am CST Saturday morning. Thankfully, though, we did not have another occurance Sunday morning.
However, I still would like to know what the root cause of this problem is. I've powercycled my ONT (removed power, removed battery backup) per Verizon support's instructions Friday afternoon, but it did not appear to have any impact on the problem at hand.

you seem to want to get an uploaded file using FileUpload. Did you see the user guide on how to do this? You seem to be going about it in completely the wrong way.

That is normal, for major upgrades to erase your iPod. You need to sync everything to your computer, make sure it gets a backup, and then post-update restore your iPod from the backup and sync back all your apps and content. See:

App Store problem, needs to be reinstalled? Cant find it anywhere?

On my macbook pro. Running 10.9 have error message " there is no application set to open the URL Mac App Store:// showUpdatesPage?scan=true.

Developers control which versions of their app is in the store. If a developer releases a new version and pulls the old version then it will no longer be available in the store.
If you sync the device that has the older app in ITunes on your computer and choose to transfer purchases, you will then have your own saved copy of the app. Then, sync the other device and select to install that app from the list of locally saved purchases.

PROBLEM NEED SOLVING

i have a 60 gig video ipod and every time i try to update it to version 1.2 using itunes 7, my ipod keeps freezing. i would reset it but it keeps freezing in a matter of seconds. i restored my ipod alot of times but this problem keeps happening. it works fine with version 1.1.2 but when i update it to version 1.2 that's when the problem starts. right now it's running on version 1.1.2 but i want to update it cuz i purchase some episodes of 24 and i want to transfer them to my ipod, unfortunatly itunes wouldn't let me do that unless i update my ipod to version 1.2. i took my original ipod to the apple store and they decided to give me a new ipod. when i took it home i restored my computer and download itunes 7 and tried to update the new ipod to version 1.2 but the same problem keeps happening.
Do anyone know how i could fix this problem? please help me.

apple needs to fix itunes 7 cuz this isn't good for me especially when the new season of 24 begins. but for now i just have to deal without ver 1.2 for my ipod. thanks for your help guys, atleast now i know there's nothing i could do to solve this problem.

The representative at the store did not do what had been discussed and now no one wants to fix it. 1.PAT and ATT files get stored in directory <DRIVE>:\usr\sap\trans\eps\in
2.You can delete them at OS level.GO to this directory and delete them as you do normally when deleting a file,be it in Windows or Unix.
3.You can use tcode SE11 for dispalying the tables.

Adding more than one 10 digital number to Digital Life

Just signed up for Digital Life and the biggest complaint I have right now is not being able to add more than one cell phone number to receive alerts/notifications. I did chat and they told to add the following as an email: [email protected] or [email protected] and neither of them worked on two different At&t cell phone numbers!!!! My head wants to explode to think of crazy it sounds you cant add more than one number!!!! And top it off - their "workaround" doesn't work. At&t PLEASE PLEASE fix this issue. Makes NO sense at all.

I just purchased an Ipad Mini from a retail store close to me in Melbourne and although I mentioned I was a student this year, the store was closing and we processed the payment. Only when I got home did I realise that I am entitled to an iTunes voucher to the value of $50.
I haven't yet received my Student ID from my university but I can proove my enrolment in other ways (acceptance letter from university and enrolment information)
I am wondering what I need to now do to obtain this voucher.
Do I have to return the iPad for a refund and re-purchase it again or is there a simpler way to arrange this?

Sometimes the GC's are mailed out. You don't always get them right in the store IIRC.

Well, it appears that your backup is corrupt, thus causing your issue. So, you'll have to restore as a new device, & not from backup. Follow this by syncing your content back to your phone:
