Digital Life cameras. Help please.
When the camera detects motion.. Will it start recording? I was under the assumption that thats what the camera was for. I have a camera outside of my home but it does no good when im asleep and someone comes up to try to break in my car or anything else if it wont record due to detecting motion.. I can't watch it 24/7 of course. So what exactly do these cameras do? Does anyone see what I'm trying to say? Any help I would greatly appreciate! Thank you.
The camera will record video or take a snapshot when motion is detected if you tell it to do so. You simply create a program to do just that. If you need a little help creating the program, the many knowledgeable users on this forum can surely help.

Lightroom not merging and sorting images from two different cameras - help please !!
Hi guys,
I need some help here. I've just imported a few thousands of images form two different cameras, however Lightroom simply sorts them by camera only. (i.e.. images from the first camera, all sorted by capture time, then come images form the second camera.)
The cameras are the same brand and model, times are synchronised, but the images refuse to merge and sort. I've tried putting them in the same folder and importing, but that doesn't do it either. I've been doing this for years and it all worked fine, till today. Does anyone know whats causing this, and how I can fix it?

View > Sort > Capture Time is checked, The cameras are in sync down to the second, and images from both have been merging and sorting fine for over two years, till today. Sort order is all set to capture time in all modes and views, but its still sorting first by camera. -
Satellite L305D-S5893 Web Cam Help Please?!?!
So I just got this new Satellite L305D-S5893 and it has a web cam but I have NO clue how to use it. I checked the resource guide on how to use it and there's nothing in there.. I looked in my start menu.. under programs and found a "Camera Assistant Software" but that does nothing when I click on it? So can anyone help me and tell me how to use the web cam on this thing? Go to Solution.When you open the camera assist software it usually hides the program on the left side of the screen. Try moving your mouse around the edges of the screen until it pops up. Or you can look for the utility in the toolbar and click "show toolbar". Then you can click on "start camera".
To make sure the camera is detected you can look in device manager. Look for "Imaging devices" and then make sure it shows Chiconey USB 2.0 camera.

We need to find a remote camera system to watch failing grandma. We need to be able to check in remotely using both iPhone and iPad. We would need 2-3 cameras. Grandma has wireless so the question is: Is there a product that would allow an easy hook up to do this?

Hi, I was able to reformat my iPod and that worked. I read it on one of the threads and I am copy pasting the method below:
I opened the "My Computer" window and right-clicked on my ipod, and then selected "Format". I select "Yes" to format since I don't have anything on the nano to delete anymore.
I then Eject my nano from the computer and did a restart while the nano is disconnected from the computer.
Once Windows finish loading I reconnect the USB to the nano(back of computer) which automatically pulls up iTune. It asked me to name the new ipod detected and created a playlist for that specific ipod name.

Out of sync audio when trying to capture from digital 8 camera to quicktime, please help
Just trying to capture hi 8 tapes using a sony digital 8 dcr-trv355e pal into quicktime;
great clear video but audio becomes out of sync like a bad kungfu movie,
contacted apple they tried to help, but they dont really understand issue
there are lots of people out there that are trying to digitise old analog video;
I have fcpx and imovie they both play the old video via the digital 8 camera but cannot capture;
that is why using quicktime; thanks!!Yes i think its something to do ith the fact its a wmv file, when i use mpeg footage it exports fine.
basically, no matter how long the video, the video is out of sync...its weird
i've decided the best thing to do is leave quicktime and export using windows media instead, that seems to give me a better looking picture witha small file size anyway

Reinstall iTunes. Make sure you follow the instructions in this support document to the letter. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923.
You may have some problems because Apple has not certified that everything works with Windows 8 yet. -
I created a photo album on my iPhone 4s - edited photos etc. but I cannot figure out how to transfer it to my pc (using Windows 8). The only folder in the iphone drive is the one which has the Camera roll photos Help please - I really need the photos!
The camera roll is not part of the sync process at all.
You should be importing these photos to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. Youc an organize them on your computer and sync the to the iphone if you wish.
The photos sync from the computer to the iphone is one way.
The iphone mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced. -

help please.First of all, try and reinstall the firmware. Sometimes it just goes haywire for no apparent reason and a second attempt might solve the issue.
Failing that, you could try a hard reset:
1) Press and hold the green "call", "3" and "*" buttons.
2) With those buttons pressed down, switch the phone on.
3) Keep pressing those 3 buttons and only release them once the phone shows signs of life such as the Nokia "hands" logo or the language selection screen.
If none of those work you'll have to pay a visit to a Nokia Care Point to see what they can do.

We are using the "live cam voice" model, with our computer (Vista 32bit), that appears to work OK, but after a few minutes we get the BSOD! We have tried un installing and re-installing drivers without any effect.Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you fix it.

ArthurThanks for your response. I have tried 3 ports so far, all with the same outcome. One of my sons had it happen to him on another computer (XP SP2) using this webcam . As to programmes open at the same time, I am not computer literate and have no idea what programmes were running on each occasion.We use the webcam for Skype and apart from that I may also have IE open and perhaps Outlook Express. Over and above those CS4 sometimes.
If I cannot resolve this, can any one suggest another webcam please.

Hi can anybody help please. I am having terrible problems trying to use my Nikon D7100 to tether. I have downloaded the latest Lightroom updates and also checked my firmware which is also the latest avaiable and still Lightroom wont detect my camera!. When I use a friends Canon camera it works every time!

I recently imported pictures from my camera to iphoto. I also synced my ipad. In less than 24 hours my photos are now missing from iphoto even after trying to sync my ipad again. These pictures are from a very special occasion and I did not even get time to edit. Someone help please

My issue, which I resolved and may help you was the following:
I have an IPAD 3. I took over 5 GB of pictures on a third party camera. The car was full so I imported those pictures to my IPAD 3 and deleted them from the SD card. While on IOS 5.x, the photos on the IPAD were there under last imported.
Over the last few days, I upgraded to IOS 6. No issues.
Then, my family wanted to see the pictures from the trip. I went to the IPAD and could not find the photos. It listed 40 photos only. The last imported was there, but listed as empty. When I went into the settings>usage, it listed 5GB + of photos in the photos area. I was confused. I plugged my IPAD into ITUNES, first thinking I would get a backup asap (icloud was full after importing the photos). Then I though I would downgrade to IOS 5.
Also, itunes listed that I had 40 photos only, but 5GB of OTHER data. I was convinced the data was not lost. When I tried to browse the IPAD 3 using windows browser, the photos where NOT in the DCIM folder, so I was not able to simply "FIND" the photos and copy them to my PC.
-SOLUTION-
I downloaded third party software onto my PC called "http://www.i-funbox.com/" I fun box. I had no idea if this would work, but other forums with other issues called out similar products for iphone issues.
When I installed the program, which was free, and so far free of malware, I started to explore my IPAD file system.I found my photos, under IPAD>RAW file system>DCIM>100IMPRT.
-ROOT CAUSE-
I suspect when I upgraded to IOS 6, apple fails to register the IMPORT folder of photos as such, photos. So the file system in IOS looses sight of what is inside the last imported folder. Essentially removing them from applications such as "Photos". Why windows does not seem them, is beyond me. But the program I found did see them in raw format, and I was able to COPY them to my PC. Then I deleted them from the IPAD, because I had no other way of managing this folder in IPAD, and it was using a lot of space. -
