Digital minijack to coax on z5500s getting no d

Im connecting my audigy 2 zs to my z5500 using a stereo minijack to mono phono plug converter to connect coax to my z5500. All i get is no digital data no matter what settings i've tried. Is there a specific way to set up to use the digital out or am i using the wrong adapter or what?

Go to AudioHQ icon in Control Panel and try changing the sampling rate to other frequency value.

The Finder reports File information. The date and time of the photo are in the Photo's Exif metadata. The Finder has no awareness of this. All photos apps on any system do.

I downloaded and re-installed Adobe Digital Editions so that I could get books from the library and read them on my tablet. It is not working and my tablet cannot open the books??

What can I do? I am 68 y/o and not very computer literate. I put an micro SD card in my computer to copy the books (also some ebooks that I bought from a retailer) onto the SD card so that I could read it on my computer or my ereader by puting the card into the reader (tablet or whatever you want to call it).. HELP

Please follow the below steps and check:
1) Right click on the book in library that you want to copy from your computer. Click on the "Show File in Explorer".
2) Copy/Paste the book from this location to your SD card.
3) On your tablet open the book from your SD card in your ereader.
You need to make sure that you authorize your ereader with the same ID with which you authorized your computer. In case you do not remember which ID you used for authorizing your Digital Edition, click Help-> Authorization Information.

Starting getting text error message 2114 invalid number of digits.Contacted carrier with no response, getting fed up that this problem cannot be resolved, in the middle of maying funeral arrangements and started getting the same message

Getting this message or a couple of my contacts, which have been texting OK , Have deleted them reentered with 10 digits nothing,
they can text me but I cannot respond to them - now in the middle of receiving info on a death in the family - started getting the same message, and
the day before all text's were going through fine. Have contacted carrier no one seems to know how to solve the problem. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER RIGHT NOW!

First, uninstall "SuperTV" (whatever that is) according to the developer's instructions. It isn't working and it's filling the log with noise.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Post the messages logged before the boot, while the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract.

Signed up for FIOS Digital Voice days ago. Already getting telemarketer calls!!! Did I opt in?????

I switched to FIOS this week. As part of my triple play bundle, I have FIOS Digital Voice.
I signed up online to take advantage of some nice bundle savings.
The install went well and everything is working fine, with one MAJOR exception now:
I am getting several telemarketing calls daily on my FIOS Digital Voice line. I will need a larger timeframe to confirm this is not just typical fluctuating telemarketing call volume, but the fact that I a didn't notice it before porting my home phone number to FIOS implies something is amiss.
1. My first important question:
When I signed up for FIOS online, I recall a checkbox during the ordering process (at a cost of $10) not to have my number published or listed in some Verizon directory or other type of phone directory (can't recall which it was).
I apparently selected the option to save $10 and thereby have my number published or listed.
Did I, unknowingly (hindsight is 20/20) attract these telemarketing calls that way?
I would appreciate it If someone can shed some light for me on whether that $10 I saved when signing up for FIOS was for opting out of (i.e.. for not signing up) for one of the following [apparent since I don't recall for sure what exactly the checkbox was:

Anyway, back to my questions:
2. Does what I did make a difference anyway (hinges on the response to question 1 and on what it really means since i thought I read somewhere that telemarketers will get numbers even if they aren't officially listed and / or published).
Any feedback from the community on what EXACTLY that checkbox said and what implication it may, or may not, have as far as getting telemarketing calls as a result is concerned would be appreciated.

EDIT - After posting this, I got a few more telemarketing calls already.
Today alone I am averaging roughly one telemarketing call every 45 minutes (different telemarketers mostly with a few repeats).
I have had this number for numerous years while under Cablevision's Optimum Voice service and I was getting less than 5% as many telemarketing calls while under Optimum Voice, even though I ported it to Verizon just two days ago!!! As others have noted, this is very frustrating.
The worst part is now there is nothing that can be done by Verizon even if they wanted to since my number is already out there and being passed around!!!
Anyway, I do want to know if the item I checked (or left unchecked) when ordering FIOS online had to do with either opting out of my number being unlisted or unpublished?
I am pretty sure it mentioned something about a directory listing if I did not pay the $10 to opt out, but I don't know if it was unlisted or completely unpublished....

I signed up for the DNC registry last week. Had been avoiding since a) with Optimum Online I rarely got telemarketer calls and b) I heard it could make matters worse, so I didn't bother signing up since I was not experiencing calls at the time.
Too bad Verizon and other telecom firms do not automatically block these calls on their end for consumers who wish to opt out of telemarketing calls.
It would be easy enough to develop a simple database where users could flag numbers.
If a given number is reported several times by different users, Verizon (and other telecommunications firms could the validate that these are telemarketers and block them.
Verizon FIOS Digital Voice's current 10 number block list is not nearly enough, as many others have stated here.
They should increase that to 200 or more if possible (in any case, at least 100) per phone service customer.
I found a post that contains content that I will add to my voicemail announcement. It won't stop robo dialers though.
Ask to be put on their do not call list, ask the person you talk to to verify the number they're DNC'ing. Make a note of this. If they call back, let them know that you informed them on "xx" date you asked to be put on their DNC list, and you'll be keeping track of every call they make to you from here on out and will pursue remedies under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act if the calls don't cease immediately. 47 U.S.C. 227 et seq is where you'll be looking. A lot of consumer protection attorneys will take these cases since each call is at minimum a $500 violation, and if you can show it to be willful, the damages treble to $1500 per call.

I am installing in win7 /64 and can't run any of the programs on the eos digital solutions disk ver 24.1. I have tried different resolutions on my monitor including 1024x768 but end up with the same message.,I get an error message as follows: " this software doesn support screen res. lower than 1024x768" but my res is set higher!!

Solution disk 24.1 is pretty old; you should install the latest updaters from the Canon site before trying again.
That said, the problem may not be in the Canon software at all, but in the driver for your monitor. If the driver is sufficiently primitive, the Canon software may not be able to tell what resolution your monitor is capable of. Try to find and install the manufacturer's latest driver.

Contact the iTunes store support people at expresslane.apple.com (it will be via email), provide them with the date of purchase, the transaction # (from your purchase history), and they will likely regrant the download. You could also try accessing the purchases tab on your device, and try the download again.

How can I get my music from a digital book onto my MAC?

I purchased an album from iTunes using my iPad and now that I want to add it to my daughter's Nook from Mac its not giving me the music to download only the Digital book. How can I get my music and add to my library?

It sounds to me like the option to "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" was turned off in the iTunes -> Advanced preferences when you added the tracks from the flash drive, so iTunes left them on the flash drive rather than copying them to your computer's hard drive. Get Info on any of the tracks and see where iTunes thinks they should be located. If they're pointing to the flash drive, check that preference.
If that is indeed the problem, you'll need to fix the location. You can do this track by track if there aren't too many, but if there are a number of them, it'll be easiest to remove them from the iTunes library, fix the above-mentioned preference, and add the tracks again. Or you can just keep the flash drive connected to your computer, but that's probably not ideal.

my question is, I hope, fairly fundamental; I have a PC I'm in the process of turning into a media-center; y'know, PVR, jukebox, etc.
Now, I've got most things covered -- processor, RAM, hdd, video card, TV-card, etc. -- but feel I'm missing out something in the area of sound. I have a couple of old CT4760 Soundblaster "Li've!" cards (the plain "value" ones) and have quickly hooked one of these up to provide stereo but am conscious that they're only 4. and would really like full 5..
What, if anything, can I stick into this box to enable pukka digital 5. through my *existing* A/V amp (a TEAC DR-L700)and speaker setup (TEAC LS-800). It has a spare TOS-Link digital-in sitting there doing nothing.
Assuming this is do-able, what cable would I need? All the TOS-Link to mini-jack cables I've seen in stores appear to be single-pole mini-jacks. This doesn't make any sense to me. A diagram would be useful.

You can't get "full" 5., i.e. 5. all the time, but only for material prerecorded in the format. In practice, if what you want is to hear the Dolby Digital 5. soundtrack on DVD's played from an in-system DVD dri've, you can get that. If you want to get "full" 5. sound from stereo sources, or from games, that you can't get from the soundcard. If your amp has some sort of pseudo surround that upmixes from stereo, you may be able to use that for stereo sources, though it's not discrete surround. Using that for 3D audio (i.e. games) would be expected to lose directionality information. You may find the concept confusing that you can get 3D audio but only from your front 2 speakers counterintuiti've, but that's true.
As far as cabling goes, the TOS-Link to minijack cables are optical, designed to plug into minidisc recorders which have a dual-purpose minijack which is both analog 2-contact-plus-ground, and digital optical (one signal path coded with 2 channels multiplexed into it). They are not compatible with the yellow-coded digital minijacks that SBLi've's that have one, which presumably includes the CT4760, have. That's because even though optical miniplug-format connectors fit, said digital minijacks aren't optical but are electrical (i.e. coax) with the front channels on the "tip" and the rear channels on the ring" contacts.
Your amp only accepts the front channel signal, which is an amp restriction, but that can carry prerecorded digital 5. formats in encoded form. In addition, your amp only handles optical, and your soundcard only puts out coax. To connect the two you need a converter which takes in the electrical form and outputs the optical form.
I haven't had personal experience with doing that, but the cheapest non-homebrew device I'm aware of (at $7.95) can be seen by looking up part number "80-960" at the http://www.partsexpress.com site. A normal TOS-Link cable would go between the amp and the converter. A mono minijack to RCA jack cable will probably work just fine between the soundcard and the converter, or you can use the left-channel side of a stereo minijack to RCA jack cable, but to be strictly kosher you should use a 75 Ohm S/PDIF cable with an adapter like Radio Shack part # 274-330 on the soundcard end. RCA-ended video cables are common and meet the 75 Ohm spec most economically. I've never had anyone report that simple audio cables don't work OK.

No Sound Using Belden 1505F 3.5mm to Coax/RCA Ca

OK, I'm trying to use the Flexijack on my X-fi xTremeGamer card to output digital sound to my Logitech Z-5500 speakers. Even though for gaming it'll only pump out 2.0 digital, I'd be happy with *any* digital quality sound. However, using a Bedlen 505F 3.5mm to Coax cable, I get nothing. No sound for anything. Can anyone give me things to look into? I've scoured the Audio Console for digital output settings and find nothing. It seems that other people are having successful runs with my same exact setup, so what could be the problem? Anyone know where I can go for a step-by-step tutorial on ensuring I have the right configs?
EDIT: I'm running Vista 64 if this makes a difference.

Wow, so not only can I not find the answers I need on the web, I have to *pay* $2.95 per 30 minutes to talk to technical support via the phone? I've haven't run into that one since what, the late 80s?
So I'm left with the option of spending days going back and forth via email with the Creative folks to troubleshoot my issue...but oh yeah, I need to open up my case and pop out the card to get the Serial Number. Seems it was too much work to embed the SN in the Product Registration file generated at registration time, but way too simple to include all the specs of my computer that they have no business knowing anyways.
Sorry guys, I hate to rain on people's parades, but this is a dog and pony show and it will be the last purchase from this company I ever make. I'll go without sound before I ever buy one of these cards again.
