Digital photo display in Imovie.....please help!
Hello, this is my first time posting on here and I really could use some help. I am creating a slide show in Imovie 6 with all photos. Some photos I have scanned and they work fine. The problem I am having is with my digital photos. When I play them individually they are fine, but when I play them in the movie, they come out slightly blurry. You can really tell in the eyes of the people in the picture. i originally created the movie on a Macbook and then my backlight went out, so I transferred the movie to my external HD and then to a Powerbook. I also transferred all of the pictures into the powerbooks Iphoto folder. How can I get those digital photos to come out correctly? I need this video finished ASAP. Thanks so much for any help you can offer.

What are the pixel sizes of the scanned vs digital photo images?

Do you mean in the iMovie PREVIEW window? If so, you should know that it doesn't show the actual image sharpness of the final movie.
How do you intend to view the slideshow - as a QuickTime file on your computer or as a DVD in a DVD player?
If you plan on going into iDVD, when asked by iMovie if you want iMovie to render your files before sending them to iDVD SAY NO.

When we go to view albums from our iphoto library on apple tv it takes forever to load and then it only plays between 24 and 35 photos then goes back to the start. Then it goes through again and displays 1 more photo each time. Please help!
It's likely that your Library database has been damaged in all the crashing.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I have an iPhone 4 and plugged it into itunes on my computer for the first time. Only to discover my sister has obviously plugged hers into my itunes account and now I have lost all my photos and numbers. Please help me!!
It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it. -

ThinkPad E440 Webcam poor display quality! Please Help
Hi all,
Anyone have the poor display quality webcam from ThinkPad E440?
This is the first timeI bought a Lenovo product: a ThinkPad E440 with i7 cpu few days ago (I am currently using ASUS UX31). Everything is great except that the webcam have extremely poor quality:
1. When I use the camera application, the photo is grainy with extremely poor resolution
2. The video chat at night not just very poor in resolution, it actually turn into Black & White at night, in the morning it have color but still extremely poor display quality. Attached photo is taken around evening, no color was detected, all in black and white......is that the normal quality from ThinkPad E440?
I have updated all my drivers again and again.
I am not sure if it is a defect or it is buid to be that poor? How can I troubleshoot before send for repair?

The webcam is intergrated camera HD720p
The video card is Intel(R) HD Graphic 4600

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with Web camera on your ThinkPad E440.
Are you checking in Lenovo communication setting? Have you checked with different application like skype?

Wrong email address displayed to receiver - PLEASE HELP !
when i send email from my company BB to external email address , my email address is displayed as [email protected]
this only happens in some cases though ( when the receiver has outlook ) . e.g when i send an email from my BB to my hotmail accounts , its works fine and my email add is shown as firstname.lastname@companyName
external email works fine from my lotus notes client , but this only seems to be an issue while using BB .
Please help !To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPad, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. However, you may find that it does not accept your old password when you try to delete the account. If this happens, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your currentiCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPad on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iPad when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I have a huge project that I'm working on that it very PhotoShop/InDesign intensive & I need all the display room I can get. That being said I am running a Power Mac G5 that has a Radeon 9800 XT.

My current display is a 23" Apple, but I want to add a Princeton VL1919, that I had been using with my Mac Mini. I believe that this is a 19" LCD display.
The problem is this, I have no idea how to do this!!! The Radeon card has two ports, just like the stock G5 video card. There is a single DVI display port and a single ADC display port. Both the Apple display & the Princeton display use DVI ports. I went to my local Apple store & explained the situation but all they could offer me was a ADC to DVI converter. But they had no idea if this would work. Will this work or do I need to buy add another video card into one of the PCI slots?
Please help, I really need to free up some display real estate from all my pallates.
Any advise would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have a problem syncing my photos....please help
I have been using my ipad for quite a while without syncing. I hooked up to a new computer yesterday and did a sync. this jhappened q few times whilst i was messing about. I had 1500 photos on my ipad which were transferred across ( i think ) but now my ipad has put everything into mini folders on the albums page and in many of them i have only blank tiles. I have an error message saying ' iTunes Sync Needed, High resolution images synced via iTunes are missing. Connect your device to the computer you sync photos from and launch iTunes to sync them.'
My big problem is that i have looked in my Pictures folder and they are not on my computer.
Where have they gone? I have not deleted them and they are showing on my ipday albeit as blank photos with this error message.
Please help someone. Pictures of my daughters birth and special family holidays all seem to have disappeared. I don't have any other copies.
Please someone advise.

RichardPhotos that you take with the iPad camera do not transfer when you sync. You have to import them to the computer. When you sync with a new computer, that should erase the iPad unless you set it up properly before you sync.

i imported all the files in my sd card to my mac and then i did format the card, it says 160kb is used up.
I also did find files in the trash when i connected the camera to the macbook and deleted them all, there is nothing left in the camera or the trash and it still says 160kb used :/ -
Dell 2405FPW 24" display problem. Please help
Can anyone help me with this, I can't seem to get an answer from either Dell tech support nor from Apple.
I just received my dell 2405FPW 24" display. Connected it to DVI port 1 on my powermac G5. It started to work just fine for the first hour or so. Then the screen just went black and stayed that way. I couldn't do anything to get it back, so I turned off the powermac, dicsonnected the DVI cable on the side of the powermac and all of a sudden, I get that little self check window with white, blue, red and some other color come up on the desplay. So I connected the DVI back and turned on the computer. The desplay goes back on, but after 15 minutes dies again. It happened to me 4 times now. Neither dell nor apple knows what this is. Can anyone tell me if you had anything similar?

I've had it running for two hours now. What I did is changes the DVI cable ends. I've pluged the end that has on the computer side into the screen and screen's went to the computer. It's been running ok now. However, I've already called Dell and ordered a replacement. So, I guess I will have to see which one I like better eh.

After recently purchasing a mac i decided to upload my photos from my iPhone to iPhoto. I accidentally disconnected the charger and now whenever i click 'import photos' it tells me that iPhoto is 'importing photos to library' which i can tell you it is not. because the phone is not connected and it has been doing it for days now.i tried to force quit and it hasn't work. It won't let me shut the computer down now either as it thinks it is currently importing something so i have to wait for the computers battery to die which is ridiculous. Becoming increasingly frustrated with this problem and not sure where else to turn. Please help. Thanks, Neil.
If the ➙ Force Quit method won't let you shutdown iPhoto try this command in the Terminal:
killall iPhoto
followed by the Return or Enter key
It might take more than one go for it to take.
Failing that close all other applications and hold the power button down until the computer shuts down. Reboot and try iPhoto again.
