Digital signature ceritificate pop up on Internal ITS

in our environment, we receive these digital certificate pop ups when we are trying to download/upload files from our desktops into SAP. Via SAP note 742197, we were able to get the valid certificate for our release, but we would like to find a way to suppress the valid siginature message for all users.  Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

Hi Leon,
I guess this is due to an IE setting. Please check whether the domain of the WAS for the service in question is in the Local Intranet security zone and whether for this zone the default Medium-Low Security Settings are enabled.
This popup is managed through the explicit setting (IE-> Tools -> Internet Options -> Security-> Custom Level.. >
Miscallenous > "Don't prompt for client certificate selection when no
client certificates or only one certificate exists" This must be enabled
to get rid of these popups.
If this is not the solution for the problem, so I have misunderstood the
initial description, in this case please describe the issue in more detail

Oisin

  • Digital Signature/Unknown Publisher

So I was trying to download iTunes 10.5. The first time I did it a "digital signature" message popped up and then retarted the download, but it popped up again. I went on to this discussion board to find some help. Some discussions said to delete (remove) everything apple and restart the iTunes. I did this and now I am getting a message that says "unknown publisher" everytime I click the "run" button. I have tried to download this iTunes about 8-10 times in the past two days.
some discussions say to try Firefox, but I don't want to do that. My last resort is to call the tech support and ask them for help because last time this happened it took us about a couple of hours.
    Thanks in advance!

    How are you downloading iTunes?
Generally speaking it is best to download it from here:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Rather than using update. You need to save the file on your PC and run it from there.
If that doesn't work can your try another browser?
Also it might be worth restarting your router.

  • Limitaions of SAP Digital Signature...!!!!!!!!

    Dera Gurus!
Kindly enlighten me on SAP limitations for Digital Signature implementation.
Are there any avenues in Sales and Distribution processes other than billing where digital signature could be useful (any internal or external process during order to cash or procure to pay cycle)?

    Hello,
Please refer the below links on SAP Digital signature concepts and update this thread based on the inputs provided...

  • One Digital signature signs multiple blocks

    Good afternoon,
    I tried running this script
    if ( this.getField("MainCheckbox").value=="Choice3" && this.getField("SupervisorSignature").value!="" {
         this.getField("SupervisorSignature1").value = this.getField("SupervisorSignature").value
    } else this.getField("SupervisorSignature1").value = "";
Basically, what I am trying to do is minimize the workload on the PDF user. The information on all the pages is the same; however, he needs to sign each block. I am trying to have it where the signatures essentially are linked. Once the user reads the agreement, multiple signature blocks are signed.
The script above gives me a syntax error.
    Any ideas?

Maybe I must give you an answer, which is not liked:
The purpose of a digital signature is to check, whether the PDF or a defined block of the PDF form (since A6 / AR6 for PDF, since A 8.1.2 / AR 8.1.2 for XFA PDF) has being changed since signature creation. To copy an image of an already existing digital signature means:
YOU ARE CHANGING THE SIGNED DOCUMENT / FORM !!
Digital signatures and their images (appearance internally) are unique and cannot be copied. During creating digital signatures, the structure of the PDF is being changed and the additional dictionary "V" is being created within the SigField. SigFields are COS-Fields (PDF Fields), even if some properties are available by JS. Forget about copying from that "V" dictionary .
If a visible signature image is a "nice to have feature" then maybe you should try ink signatures, but I have no experience with those.

have removed my pop-up blocker completely and still receive the following error message when attempting to download iTunes:  "The file was blocked because it does not have a valid digital signature that verifies its publisher".....any ideas?

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • How do I remove the digital signature option on Adobe Acrobat 7.x? I don't want it, but it pops up every time I need to sign a form, and I cannot find a way to remove

I created a digital signature to sign forms using Adobe Acrobat 7.x. I really don't want or need this feature, but do not know how to remove it or keep it from popping up every time I need to sign a form. Can anyone help? I'm not that technically savvy, so please explain in layman's terms. Thanks!

It's not clear to me what you're trying to accomplish. If you get rid of your digital ID you will still be prompted to create/add one when you need to sign a form, which you say you still need to do? Do you really just want to e-sign (hand-drawn signature, or stamp) instead of digitally sign? Do the forms you're using have digital signature fields?

  • Pop Up message when clicking digital signature stating "this is an official document"

How can I have a message pop up when clicking on digital signature that warns the person they are signing an official government document.  I invision the message popping up making the statement and a button within the message that can be clicked to sign it.  Any ideas?   form Attached
    Thanks
    Mike

Thats strange, cos it works when i add the code to the mouseDown event. When I click OK on the popUp it asks which handler I would like to use (I have a digital cert and a signing pad). I can then sign the doc and the form then attaches itself to an email. I do notice a small problem though... If i try to 'Cancel' (ie abort the signing process) when it asks which handler i want to use, the form still attaches itself to an email even though the sig field is empty. Im not sure if you want it to do that? I have attached the pdf with the code added. Let me know if it works.

  • Digital Signature Pop Up Customization

    Hi All,
Is there any way to customize the digital signature Pop up window like as Change the Authentication messages and Successful or error messages from iCommand. I am running with 12.1.
    Thanks in Advance
    Chandan

    Chandan,
For [iCommands|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mii121/helpdata/en/45/cb112b16336f74e10000000a1553f6/content.htm], the only 2 string fields that can be modified are the Command Text and Return Message. I even checked to see if there were any special parameters or functions in the applet/ script assistants and I didn't find any that would fit your goals.

  • Internal+External Data In One Digital Signature

Is it possible to generate a single digital signature for both external data (a file) and internal data (XML metadata relevant to the file)? From the Java Digital Signature API documentation, it would appear that "detached" can handle external data OR internal "sibling" data but not both. And it would appear that both "enveloping" and "enveloped" are strictly internal. If the answer is "yes", a link to sample code would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you just have to create more than one Reference when generating the signature.
One of the references should point to the external file (probably using a file URI) and the
other reference URI should point to the internal data.

  • SharePoint 2010 Collect Signatures workflow - no digital signatures?

Hello, I configured a "Collect Signatures" workflow for the content type "Document", then uploaded a MS Word 2010 (.docx) document as content type "Document".  This Word document as 2 empty Signature Line in it.
I then start the workflow, basically 2-stage with 2 person from my Active Directory.  However, what I found is that when I go to my workflow task and click on the "This document requires your signature" link, it pops up a "Workflow Task" box in the
browser.  There is a "Sign" button which I can click to sign but it does not sign on the signature lines inside my Word document.
What am I doing wrong here?  Or does SharePoint 2010 Collect Signatures workflow no longer work with digital sigantures?  Thanks.

    Hello ,
We have chceked by setting up a repro at our end and its not possible to complete the workflow without opening the document . Also below are some additional findings that I have and would like to share :-
    1)      In Office 2007 (Word and Excel) you can click on the office button from the respective application while you have the concerned document open in it. This triggers the collect digital signature workflow and the users signs
it immediately as he can see the popup on the screen. Still he has to go to the task list to complete the task which I would say is a manual process following the workflow task is 100% completed.
    2)      In SPS2010 with Office 2010 we do not have an option to trigger the workflows from within the Office document. Instead you directly go to task list to open the task and click on sign button to complete the task. Here you
still need to open the document again and digitally sign it. The difference is workflow here is not triggered in Office document. Even here it is a kind of manual process except that you don’t see a popup to sign document immediately from Office document
due to the fact that workflow is triggered from SharePoint task list.
    Thanks,
    Manas

  • What is the certification authority, the third party that can confirm the digital signature?

I created a nice electronic signature, that I now regularly use and add to every document. I was told that a signature needs to be issued by a verification authority, a third party that is able to verify the signature, certificate. I created a free certificate at CAcert.org and tried to combine it with the adobe signature certificate file, but it doesnt support .cer and .crt files. Is the Adobe the certification authority in this case since i created signature in the Adobe software? Its not a big deal, I just want everything to be correct since I use the signature in official documents now (instead of scanning a signed document) ... Thanks for any info, ideas or help.
    Jacob

Each Digital Certificate has a pair of private and public keys used for encryption/decryption. The private key belongs to the certificate owner and should be kept secret. It is protected by a password. The public key can be used by anyone. Digital certificates come in two flavors: one that contains both private and public key and one that contains only public key.
When you create a digital signature the signing process uses the private key to encrypt the signed content digest and the public key is used to decrypt it. So, only you can encrypt signed content with your certificate that has both private and private keys and anyone can decrypt it to validate the signature using certificate that has only public key. Usually, this certificate with the public key only is embedded in the digital signature, so that anyone can use it for decryption.
The .cer certificate contains only public key. Certificates with both private and public keys usually have extensions .pfx or .p12. You need one of those to sign.
CAcert.org issues only public key certificates. so you cannot use its certificates for digital signing.
Adobe is not a general purpose certification authority. It issues some certificates for internal use only.
Acrobat has a feature that allows you to create so-called self-signed certificates with both private and public keys but these certificates can be used only in a limited way. They do not provide the means to authenticate the real certificate owner nor revoke a certificate if it is stolen.
Generally, a digital signature asserts three main features:
    1. Document integrity (document has not been changes since it had been signed),
    2. Authentication (the signer is indeed what the certificate says)
    3. Non-repudiation (the signature author cannot deny that he signed it: this is achieved via certificate revocation mechanism).
A self-signed certificate (of the type that Acrobat produces) can be used only for #1. It cannot be used for ##2 and 3. The latter two come only when a certificate (with private key) is issued by a reputable Certificate Authority which is trusted (like VeriSign, Symantec, etc.).

  • USB "Windows cannot verify the digital signature" and No Audio in Notebook

    Model: HP Pavilion DV6
    OS: Windows 7 (64-bit)
I recently started to face this issue with the USB drivers and no audio from the internal speakers of my notebook.
ON checking the USB drivers, it says that Windows cant verify digital signature.
I uninstalled, restarted the notebook but the newly installed drivers have the same issue. Even tried to update the drivers, but to no avail.
I am even facing issue with no audio from internal speakers.
Uninstalled and reinstalled ATI High Def Audio Device and IDT High Def Audio CODEC - the drivers look good, but when I test sound in Control Panel - it fails to play test sound.
I have installed all Windows updates and the new HP Support Assistant and all other updates.
    NOTHING works!
    Please help!

I've got a temporary fix , but it sounds like you need a full recovery . After the HP/Compaq Screen flashes and disappears at startup , start pressing F8 like a boss (4 or 5 times) , you'll see a screen pop up with many options on it , near the bottom is one that says "disable driver signature requirement" or something similar . Arrow down and select that one , don't think it works after reboot , but like I said , it's just a temporary fix .
    hope that helped
If it did hit me with some Kudos , I need all the help i can get .

  • XML Digital Signature Canonicalisation Error.

    Hi,
I am writing JAVA code to perform XML Digital Signature and Verification. I am using jwsdp-2.0 jar files xmldsig.jar and xmlsec.jar.
I am successfully able to sing the xml but still have few issues.
    1. Canoniclisation on SignedInfo is not happening. API is signing the SignedInfo Element without performing Canonicalisation. I turned on debugging and it shows FINE: Canonicalized SignedInfo:error. Because its not able to perform Canonicalisation verification fails on other end.
fac.newCanonicalizationMethod(CanonicalizationMethod.EXCLUSIVE,(C14NMethodParameterSpec)null) is the canonicalisation param I am passing to SI.
    2. Not able to specify XPointer in URI string when creating Reference object. It works fine with, just id of element as reference, but not with xpointer.
Any help on these issue is greatly appreciated.

  • Problem with Digital Signature strategy in Document Managment System

    Hello ALL,
I am facing problem with Digital Signature strategy in DMS. If any help its greatly appreciated.
I have senario where Approvers in DMS will review the document and approve the document and put on their digitial signature. if i have multiple approvers maintained in the characterstics it has to check weather it has been approved by all approvers otherwise it has to reset the status to for approval.
My problem is i am able to reset the status back from approved to for approval using the badi document_status01 but when the next approver logs in to the document and change the status to approved he is not able to get the digital signature pop up which it comes only first user approves it.
can any one help me out on whats going wrong in it.
    Thanks
    Srikanth Aduri.

    Hi,
maybe the reason for this is that the status of the digital signature is not changed. Then the system thinks that the digital signature is still completed and therefore the user is not getting the pop-up again. The database table for the digital signature for documents is TC77. I hope this information is usefull for you.
