Digital touch not appearing

New Apple Watch - no digital touch icon. My circle of friends appears, and I have 2 friends that have an Apple Watch, but when I click on either of them, I only see a phone icon on the left, a text icon on the right, and spinning dots in the centre. After about a minute, the spinning dots disappear and I don't have a digital touch icon. One of these friends has been able to send me drawings and I receive them, but I can't send anything to him, as I have no icon. I have followed suggestions on a similar question, regarding iMessage settings, but that doesn't help me. I only have 1 apple ID and associated email.

Same issue here.  I have a friend with an Apple Watch, and I don't have the digital touch icon when I choose him from my friends circle.

  • Digital touch not arriving one way

I'm trying to use digital touch with a friend. My digital touch messages are arriving at her watch without problems but when she tries to answer on it, it just never arrives on mine. The watch does not give a error message in the lines of "The digital touch couldn't get sent" or something. Everything looks like it has been sent without a problem.
We tried changing contact details (like email addresses, numbers, etc), but since the digital touch button exists in her contact panel thingie, it should mean that the watch sees that that contact is using a watch too, though why does it not arrive?
What does the watch use for the digital touch interface? Is it whatever is picked in iMessage or does it always use the number / apple ID?

Same issue! Only got text and emoticons only, touch drawing can't show up in one direction!

  • IPod Touch not appearing in devices windows 7 x64

i have itunes on my hp notebook running on windows 7 x64. recently, my notebook crashed and was returned to me with a new drive c: and default factory settings (i.e brand new). i installed itunes and then... my itouch wasn't able to sync! it is not even appearing as a portable camera device (before my notebook crashed, it did). i went to check other forums and tried out the various apple support article (e.g. uninstall (4x already!), update drivers, restore itouch etc.etc.etc.)
anyway, when i run services.msc and check apple mobile device, the service is not started. when i start it, it says "The apple mobile device service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically when they are not in use by other services or programs)". I reckon this is what's stopping my itouch from being recognised and syncing to itunes. Talked to a itunes champion and he couldnt help.
Would deeply appreciate it if someone can help me. Been spending christmas and new year's cracking my brains over this =/

Try taking a photo with your iPod and see if it then appears as a camera device.
(I am really new at this but I had mine appear as a camera because of 1 picture I took. When I deleted it, it does not appear now but I can still get into itunes.)

  • Ipod Touch not appearing in Itunes using Windows 7

If your Itouch doesn't appear in Itunes try doing this:
The problem is, for some reason, iTunes won’t install the Apple Mobile Device software or service. Even if you extract out the AMDS installation files, it still fails. The SOLUTION is to take the software and service from Vista for AMDS and manually install it. Then, it will work!
First of all, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed. You can download it from here. These instructions will NOT work for iTunes 8 or 9 anymore. If you’re unsure, just uninstall iTunes then re-install with the latest files. If you want to keep iTunes 9 and don’t want to upgrade to iTunes 9, let me know in the comments and I can get the files to you…I still have them.
Next, you need to manually copy the Mobile Device Support directory from a working Vista machine to your Windows 7 computer
Now, we need to install the correct driver for your iPhone / iTouch. Windows 7 incorrectly identifies the device as a digital camera. To fix this:
    - Plug in your iPhone / iTouch (don’t have iTunes loaded at this time)
    - Go to Device Manager (Click Start, right-click Computer, then click Properties. In the window that appears choose “Device Manager” on the left)
    - Scroll down and find “Apple iPod” or “Apple iPhone” or “Apple iTouch”. It will likely be under the “Portable Devices” category.IMPORTANT NOTE: If your device is already listed under “Universal serial Bus Controllers” and not Portable Devices, you can skip these steps and go to Step 7.
    - Right-click the Apple device and choose “Update Driver Software…”
    - Choose “Browse my computer for driver software” in the window that appears
    - It will ask you for a location; you want to Browse to this folder (location is the same in 32 and 64 bit Windows):
    32-bit and 64-bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
    – Click Next
    - It should find the driver for your device; let it install that driver
Once you complete these steps, reboot your computer. Once you reboot everything should work exactly as expected!

  • Can't update to latest iTunes, ipod touch not appearing in current iTunes but iPod classic is.  HALP!

    Hi there.
This is driving me absolutely mad!
I am not completely computer illeterate but I don't want to go poking around in any registry files and things like that as I would most likely break the Universe if I did.
Basically, for some random reason a few months ago iTunes wanted me to download it's new version.  I said ok and it proceeded to do it's thing.  Then I heard the 'I'M BROKEN' sound that my laptop makes when something goes wrong or there is an error and it's saying that there is an error with something or other and it can't complete my request to update.
After that I have not been able to connect my ipod touch 4th gen.  At all.  To anything.  I've tried downloading alternatives to iTunes to see if I could work around things that way but it seems my ipod won't connect to them either.
I've fiddled around with USB's, buying new ones, going into my computer and poking around in there to see if I can do something, all to no avail.
Strange thing is, everything recognises my ipod classic.  Now yes, I could just use that but I want to use my touch! It cost enough, I might as well use it.  If I can't I'll sell it and I'll never buy anything from Apple again as it seems that if one thing goes wrong, there is no way around it.
I have scoured these boards for answers.  I have followed pretty much every single solution that Apple can give via the FAQ's and troubleshooting things.
I have also tried connecting my touch to a friends computer and it is recognised there so it's an itunes or laptop problem and not the ipod.  It still connects as a camera, my USB drivers are up to date.  I've tried deleting and then reinstalling itunes and that doesn't work as it WON'T INSTALL.
I was thinking that perhaps formatting my ipod might help but there is no point as it's not the ipod that is the problem.
If anyone wants me to screenshot the error message then I will be more than happy to do so.
I just really want some help!
Thanks to whoever reads this =D

  • EBooks in Digital Editions not appearing on Kobo eReader

    Hello
I'm using my ereader for the first time: Kobo Ereader Touch 6".
I downloaded a book from google play.
Opened it in Adobe Digital Editions v4.
Downloaded the epub and pdf files.
Plugged the ereader into the computer.
    Authorized my eReader with Adobe.
I can see KOBOeReader under Devices in Adobe.
I've added the upub version of the book in Adobe Digital Editions.
I've opened the Kobo desktop application and synced the device.
I've also tried wirelessly syncing the device.
I still can't see the book on the ereader.
I've tried restarting the ereader and digital editions in different orders but nothing has helped.
Can you please help me to get this working.
