Digitizer broken

So I dropped my phone when I was taking it out of my pocket and I think the digitizer broke. There are a bunch of lines of my screen and half of the touch screen doesn't work, but the glass is still totally fine. I just got this phone 2 months ago so its still under warranty. What do I do??

The warranty does not cover accidental damage. If you have AppleCare+ coverage, you will pay only the "deductible"; check the terms for your plan. In most cases it's US $79. If you do not have AppleCare+ on your iPhone, Apple now will replace screens on the iPhone 5C, at least in the US, for US $149. Availabllity of repair services may vary by country and by Apple Store, so call Apple Support or visit an Apple Store and ask for information. If Apple will not offer screen replacement service at an Apple Store in your area, they will replace the entire iPhone. See:

There are independent iPhone repair services that may be able to do the repair for less than Apple's out-of-warranty charge. Do a web search for "iPhone repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPhone serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further warranty and support from Apple will be voided.

Screen cracked. Digitizer broken. Need IMEI number.

My Xperia Z1 screen cracked without being dropped or struck, it actually seems like the crack is on the inside of the glass as I cannot feel it on the front of my phone. This crack must have damaged the touch screen digitizer as only the bottom of my phone can be used, this means I can't even find the IMEI number of my device as I need to use the keypad.

You can find the IMEI on the Box as well as the Proof of purchase. You can also open the SIM card slow and pull a tray out that has the IMEI number on it.

New Phone wont sync

So here is my situation
I bought a 3G Iphone about 4 months ago, I had to get rid of it at the time cause the bill was to high. I then bought a Zune and used it for a while but I decided to go back to an Iphone. So I bought a 3GS today and I reinstalled Itunes and now when I plug in my iPhone it tells me the SyncServer has stopped working. All my old stuff from my previous Iphone was on my itunes, so I deleted that all and still it won't work.
Can someone help me please, thanks.

If you have AppleCare+ on it, you can file an accidental damage claim ($49, I think). AppleCare+ allows two such claims. But without AppleCare+, accidental damage is not covered under the basic one year warranty.

Force sync broken screen/digitizer iPhone with iTunes

I have an iPhone 5 with a broken screen and digitizer. I need to sync it with itunes (11.1.5). I should have the latest updates for IOS. When i try to sync the phone with my macbook i receive a messege "Do you want to allow this computer to access information on “Iphone”?" Click continue and then receiva another message that says, " to allow access, please respond on your iPhone." Does anyone have a workaround for this or a way to force sync?

You don't. It's too late to sync it for the first time, now. Let's just hope you were backing it up to iCloud... If not, then your data is gone.

If you open the phone to do some DIY repairs, Apple will not service the phone anymore in case something goes wrong, even if you are willing to pay for the service.

3rd gen touch wont power/broken digitizer

I have bought a broken touch 3rd gen (just for a challenge). Wouldn't power on, is seen by the computer but not recognised. Stripped digitizer off to find the digitzer cable not there, so its been taken apart before. Surely I would still be able to turn it on, without digitizer? Other thing i've thought of, is if it needs put in to recovery mode, the home button wouldnt work?

Ipad mini with broken digitizer - can it be backed up if passcode cannot be entered?

I'm not sure if i entered the right category, I have searched around for questions similar to this but have not been able to find a thread that answers my question. My ipad mini is 1st generation, 4G compatible, 16gb. iOS 7 (as specific as i can get).
I dropped the iPad which shattered the digitizer which means I am unable to to type in the passcode in order to back it up on iTunes. The screen was left undamaged. I have a backup from a week or two before it was dropped but I want to be able to retrieve the photos and garageband files that were made past that point. I am wondering if there is any way of backing up the iPad without a passcode or somehow the passcode could be entered on my computer, ect.
I am planning on bringing the iPad to get the digitizer replaced, but to be on the safe side I would like to have a backup just in case a mistake is made during the repair or if a storage dump is unavoidable.

You could try attaching a bluetooth keyboard to your ipad and typing in the passcode. This assume you have enabled bluetooth on the ipad before.

Broken Digitizer

Hey everyone
I have an issue with my iPhone4, basically the very right hand edge of the screen is intermittently non-responsive. For example, sometimes, I can not press the P or the delete key when using the phone in portrait mode. If I rotate the rotate the phone so the right hand edge is on the bottom, I can not use the shift key or return key. This, while intermittent, causes real issues for me when writing messages or playing games. From what I have read, the digitizer maybe damaged. Is this something they will replace under warranty, as it still is. It's only 5 months old.
I have done all the troubleshooting steps it has even been back to the Apple Service Centre twice, both times they say they can not find a fault and just return it. I would take it to a Genius Bar and actually show them, but there isn't one anywhere near where I live.
I'm kind of stuck with what to do, I can keep sending it back but they will probably just look at it for 5 minutes, see it works when they test it and send it back.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

My digitizer is not responding however i have loads of imessages. I tried to go onto my ipod touch to look at them but when i updated to ios7 it had not been signed in to imessage. Is there a way i can get imessages sent to iphone to load on my ipod?

When you log into you icloud account on your computer you are viewing data that you sync to icloud not the backups. You can't view the backups.

I have an Ipod 4th generation ipod with a broken screen: pretty much the entire upper trim is broken off as I can see the camera. Why does my Ipod touch screen only respond in the very middle? Top and bottom work not left or right.

When the Ipod touch 4th Gen first came out, I got this ipod. About 6 months later, it fell out of my pocket and the top of the screen broke to the point where I can see the camera. The ipod worked perfectly fine for a long time untill about 8 months later when I started having issues with the Ipod. I still was able to unlock and use it but it was hard to unlock. It worked fine when it opened but unlocking it for some reason difficult. Now, I cannot unlock it at all and I am only able to press the play button for music (double-tap home) and press cancle (in the dead center) for a soft reset. Im trying to figure out whats goin on and as of now i have no clue. I have tried resetting it and am in the process of restoring it completely. Is there any possible way that this is just a glitch that can be fixed or is it done for good because somethings broken? I'ld like to know before I really put more time into this.

I am having the SAME exact problem! Except instead of lock button broken it's my home button so I can't do the whole "put in recovery mode" deal. My screen only says "tap the home button 3 times" and it has my screen locked until I hit the home button but since it is broken I can't get in my phone at all. I have all of my work info in my phone so I'm screwed and can't get any help. PLEASE let me know if you find a way around this...!!!
