Digitizer pen

I have just recently bought an i7 Lenovo Yoga pro 2. As many of you may know, it does not come with a digitizer pen. I would like to purchase one but I am not sure what to get. Please help me with suggestions.

Good afternoon and welcome to the community.
The Yoga 2 Pro doesn't have a digitizer. The panel is 10-finger capacitive touch. That said, there are a number of capacitive stylii available, but I don't have experience with them , so I can't offer a recommendation.
Hopefully other members will join the discussion with their experiences that will aid your decision.
Cheers.

  • Problems with Illustrator CC 2014 in Sony Vaio Fit 15A with N-Trig touch screen and digitizer pen.

    Hello to everybody!
Some times ago Adobe has updated Illustrator to CC 2014 version and now it support touch pressure\pan\zoom in Windows 8 tablets. I have Sony Vaio Fit 15A with N-Trig touch screen and digitizer pen with pressure-sensitive support.
I was extremely disappointed that the brush in new version does not work correctly. Watch the video please that I did specifically for the demonstration.
I use Adobe Illustrator CS6 and Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 for comparison. In the old version the brush is works correctly. You must do a lot of clicks to start the brush in CC 2014 version (please see video). What causes of the problem? Please help me!

  • Will the Lenovo Helix Digitizer Pen work with Windows 7

    Hello forum,
I work in the IT department and we have recently order a number of Lenovo Helix to use for special projects.
We will be downgrading to Windows 7 64-bit.
My question is will the digitizer pen still be supported by Windows 7?
Maybe I over looked, but I did not see any drivers that seemed to be associated with the digitizer pen or any previous mention of this and downgrading to Windows 7.
Any information you can provide will be helpful.

    Welcome to the forum!
Stylus pen is natively supported by W7 and it will work "out of the box".

  • Best Replacement digitizer pen for my TouchSmart Tm2

Hi, I recently lost my digitizer pen to my touchsmart tm2 notebook, I looked for an exact replacement to this pen but they seem to be out of stock. Are there other digitizer pens that work with my notebook you can recomend?
I don't mind buying another brand or another type of pen from HP so as long as it works with my notebook.
Plus I don't want to draw with my mouse ( Btw I am an illustrator)

  • Is the new slider2 support digitizer pen?

Is the new convertible tablet slider2 support digitizer pen?

The new earpods should support extended bass noise with other devices as it is not a software eq but the actual physical response of the speaker inside the earpod.
    Hope it helps

  • Split x2 with digitizer pen

I have a spare digitizer pen I got when I purchased my TM2 Touchsmart. Is there a way to have this, or any other Wacom pen, work with the Split x2. I've tried the TM2 driver and the Wacom driver without success. Has anyone else tried this too?

    Hi plloyd1010,
In my knowledge, the Split X2 will not work with Digitizer pens of any kind.

  • What digitizer pen is compatible with Portege Z10T-A

    Hi All,
    I have the z10t-a i5 telstra 4G cellular model.
This model did not come with the digitizer pen or stylus and i am wondering if the pens are compatible.
The support website says the pen is compatible with the Z series but am not sure.
Can anyone shed any light on the subject.
I would hate to spend the money on an accessory that did not work.
    Cheers

    Hi guys,
I found also some details about the Toshiba Digitizer Pen with Eraser
Part number: PA5133U-1EUC and this digitizer pen is compatible with the Toshiba Portg Z10t, Z15t Ultrabook series and 10 Excite Write Tablet PC
    Further details:
+Using this digitizer pen, you can write directly on the screen and save your notes in your own handwriting - or convert them to typed text for use in other applications. The pen can also handle common mouse and keyboard tasks like opening applications, selecting text and displaying menus. Since the grid provides the power to the pen through resonant coupling, no batteries are required. Keep a spare pen handy.+

  • Yoga S1 Digitizer Pen Question

I just got a Yoga S1 with the Digitizer Pen.  Is the pen supposed to behave similar to a standard touch?  In otherwords, can I use it instead of my finger when touching the screen?  So far it doesn't seem to have any affect on the windows start screen.  I know the pen works because I found an app that translates the writing to text (can't remember the app name, still learning what came on the computer).  I'm just trying to learn the capabilities and limitations of the pen.
    Thanks in advance

i recorded the above video to show you the basic behaviour under both finger touch and pen digitiser. Compare this to your laptop, and see if it is the same.
Also, it would helpful to do a video recording of what you are getting, then upload it to say flickr or something. This will allow us to troubleshoot more easily.

  • How to fill up pdf forms & sign pdf contracts using digitizer pen & tablet?

    Greetings,
I travel a lot and bring tons of documents for clients to sign. As I am trying to cut down on travel weight, i fancied upon the idea of using a digitizer such as the Genius EasyPen i405 to fill up pdf forms and sign contracts so i wouldnt have to scan, save and email the forms back to the office thousands of miles away. I would like to know if it is possble to do that using such a device. If its possible, how? I use acrobat X. Any advise you can give would be greatly appreciated. Hope to hear from you soonest. Thank you.

Thanks for your response jallisy. I just thought about this because i read somewhere that the pen acts like a mouse cursor when you move it around the digitizer. I figured the pen could act as a mouse while the digitizer could act as a mouse pad, as such the size doesnt really matter, considering you need to press a button on the pen to engage the digital ink and you use the computer screen as your guide. I havent really tried one but am just starting to explore the idea as tablets like the Ipad are now allowing users to fill up forms and sign pdfs with a finger or a capacitive pen. Youtube offers all these interesting pdf signing and editing with the Ipad. I just really dont want an Ipad. I still think a solution is just around the corner. But i am not willing to buy an expensive tablet with limited storage and productivity features over a real laptop.
The genius site for the pen stated that i can sign microsof office docs but no pdf was mentioned. I guess they have a special software for that but the people at genius havent gotten back to me yet. Another way i was thinking about was converting all the pdfs to word, sign the word document and then save as a pdf again ... the document is prone to be edited though and formats could be accidentally changed so was really thinking about doing this directly with a PDF instead.

  • K1 and N-trig digitizer pen

Does anyone know whether a N-trig pen would work on the K1?  Would this tablet support pressure sensitive inputs?
    Thx

usualy this message means there is no communication between the digitizer and the computer.
the only thing you can do is contact Dell/HP support and they will probably reflash or replace your screen.

  • 20C0001HUS Thinkpad Yoga with digitizer?

Hi! I would like to buy this Thinkpad yoga model and I would like to know if the screen is digitizer enabled and it comes with the pen. What is the storage capacity on this model?
I asked various vendors from this site and everybody tells me something different...
    http://www.shopbot.ca/pp-lenovo-thinkpad-s1-yoga-i5-4300u-20c0001hus-lenovo-price-483964.html

So the majority of the vendors told me that the storage is 180Gb SSD and that the digitizer pen is not included. Anyway the screen is an fhd
1920 x 1080, so my question is... If I buy a pen somewhere willl I be able to use the digitizer stylus anyway?
    Thank you

  • Digitizer Driver for T410s?

I'm curious as to why the T410s has a driver for a digitizer.
    (Windows 7 64-bit, released 4/26/2010)
    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-73771
I read some of the forums and people stated that the T410s does not support the digitizer pen (at least one thread from this forum).  Does this mean that the hardware supports it but there was no driver available at the time?
Or is this feature going to be available only to future hardware specs?

I did a little more research and it looks like N-trig makes 2 other types of "pen" (n-trig duosense) for touchscreen.  One is a "electrostatic" pen that's not battery operated.  The other type is the "pencil" (battery operated, AAAA).
Currently I've only seen the pen version and I dont see it sold by retailers at this time.  I'm not sure if the digitizer pen sold by lenovo is the electrostatic type.  The only place I've seen this pen is at Dell (the one that came with their XT tablet) and it looks like HP does as well.  Fairly recent technology...

  • Best Pen for taking notes on the twist

Hi, I'm curious at what pen can be best used for taking notes on my Twist.  When I use OneNote it won't let me use my finger or the rubber tipped stylus to write with, but instead requires the use of the keyboard, very annoying when in class.  I've been struggling with this for several months now.  I'm unsure what the difference is between a capacitive pen vs a digitizer pen?

Thanks, that's what I've heard from other sites, but I figured other Twist owners may have different opinions.  Have you used any other apps that use the Jot pro?  I'm curious as what apps are available for use with it before I purchase it, which will hopefully be tonight

  • Ideapad yoga 11s WITHOUT a pen - can I get it to work with a pen?

Got the ideapad yoga 11s for a surprise gift on christmas. And just  found out there is also a version of the ideapad yoga with a stylus/wacom pen. That would have made this apparatus just perfect for me. So my 3 questions quite simply are:
    1. Can anyone tell me if this version can be "modified" to work in the same way (e.g. pressure sensitivity) if I can acquire the pen / a pen separately?
    2. Can a pen indeed be acquired separately?
    3. And what kind of pens would work?
Please help And thank you to anyone who can tell me the answers!
Edit: Suppose I need a digitizer. I presume this model does not have it? I don't even know what that is physically - so is it something I CAN accuire for this machine?

Only digitizer pens and digitizer displays have pressure sensitivity. If you want this, take a look at the ThinkPad Yoga for your next purchase.
You need a capacitive stylus pen, like the Wacom Bamboo Stylus
