Dilemma ipad 4

After some time, my IPad now won't connect Candy Crush to Facebook. Showing error, complete signing in. All systems are up to date, previous progress still shows on the laptop, on which I could move on to other levels. Where am I going wrong?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

  • My ipad will only charge after update when being hooked to my iMac. Are there any answers to this dilemma ?

Ok one thing i found is if your itunes needs updating and you hook your ipad to your mac (lucky if you have a imac to do so) it will charge.
What is up with Apple , did the updates for patches after IOS 7 and still will not charge. Using orignal charges that came with equipment on a good wall circuit.
Does not matter which one will not charge . HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Most USB ports do not provide sufficient power to charge an iPad. Normally it's best to charge your iPad using the original charger and original cable.
If the iPad will not charge there are only a few possibilities.
    No power to the outlet.
Bad cable. Try a different cable.
Bad charger. Try a different charger.
Dirt or crud in the connector port. Check and clean carefully.
Software failure. Reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Hardware failure. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

  • Dilemma: New iPad or iPad 2 best for Garageband?

    Hello,
I have  a 1st generation iPad which I love, and it's been fine for everything I do, except for Garageband (which comprises roughly half of my iPad use). Since I love to just fill all 8 tracks with software instruments and effects, I spend a lot of time waiting for it to "optimize". The new edit notes feature seems really slow, also.
I'd like to upgrade, but I'm wondering if it's worth shelling out for The New iPad to solve this problem. Those of you using Garageband heavily on the iPad 2, do you also get the dreaded "optimization" waits, or is it not really noticeable?
I don't really care that much about the retina screen, or the cameras, or the 4G- I just want a fast, seamless Garageband experience. Can I get away with an iPad 2?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

  • IPad Mini purchasing dilemma

Hello ya'll.  I would like to purchase an iPad mini for my son, a Marine stationed to an APO/FPO address. However, when prompting to buy I noticed the red highlighted warning that mentions that Apple doesn't deliver to aformentioned addresses.  I'm bewildered as it's the first I've heard, please help.  I'm not sure what to do and how to proceed and given the delays in receiving packages on the Marine bases, I would like to make sure that my receives his Christmas gift in time.. PLEASE help me! Thanks so much for your time!

    Pamela:
Thanks so much for your response. I didn't think of having it delivered to myself then sending it. I was hoping to have it delivered directly to him to save time. But now that's not looking promising.. I just don't understand if Apple can't send it due to the "battery" concern, then what difference would that make if I sent it? Either way, I'm going to take your advise and just have it sent to myself and mail it out. I'm hoping to sent it via express. <sighing>nothing is easy..there should be consessions being its being sent to a Marine base.

  • IPad Dilemma

    Hello my Fellow Apple users,
It's surprising, how I am so happy when I have such a big and frustrating problem. Anyways, about 2-3 years ago, I got my first iPod Touch, and I purchased QUITE a handful of apps. Today, about 2-3 years later, I got an iPad 2. I was really happy and excited when I got it, even more so when I remember about all the apps that I STILL have from the past, that I could have on my new iPad!. So anyways, I go to my old computer, transfer ll the apps from Mobile Applications onto a USB, go to iTunes on my newer one, go to file, add new folder, I add the mobile apps folder filled with the old apps and Voila! All the apps from the past are now in the Apps category on iTunes. (Im giving all these specs since I want to know if I did something wrong). So I hook up my iPad, authorize it, sync it, and I realize its FINALLY time to sync the old ipod touch and iphone apps onto my iPad. Now HERE's where the BIG flaw is: I go to the iPad section on the left column, go under apps, I select all the apps that I transfered from my old computer ( may I remind you, they are all iPod and iPhone apps) I click sync, and it begins syncing. As everyone probably knows, there is the device screen display which shows all the locations of the apps. WHenever you keep selecting apps to sync, they are shown on multiple screens. So the apps are syncing, I can clearly see them on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th page screens and BAM! They all simply disappear right after the sync is complete. I have been trying to sync them for quite some time, and they just keep dissapering. IS it because the iPad doesnt accept only iPod and iPhone apps? Did I do the transfer the wrong way? Whatever the problem, I hope someone can help me.

Were the apps purchased with the same apple Id?   If so, they should sync over just fine.  And if they do not, you can redownload them from the app store for free.  Again, same user Id is needed.
I don't know why your transfer didn't work, if the I'd was the same.
If you have both computer available, think about starting over.  When you install I tunes, there are a couple of program to help you migrate the stuff from the old one to the new one.   The steps are outlined there.  You will need to authorize the new computer to your apple id, but I think you may have done that..
Check out this, link for the steps.

  • IPAD 4 screen flicker in App store as well as browsing via safari and vdownloader. I tried restore and reset, but still the same...

    Hi everyone,
I just have my new Ipad4 last January 27, I noticed that while downloading a certain Apps in App Store then scrolling to look for more application, my screen would flicker like flashing or something blinking on it. I don't know what happened, why is it like that? Is it somewhat connected with hardware problem or does Ios 6 version still have a bug? I've tried using safari and other video downloader like vdownloader and I tried searching in youtube, still the same dilemma, it flicker also while browsing some video. Is it hardware problem? I already reset and restore my IPAD thou its a new one still the same dilemma happened again. What should I do? It was a gift for me and I'm really worried about it. Hope you could help me regarding it. Thank you so much.

Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

  • What do I need to use my "IPAD MINI" on a TV without HDMI?

    Hi all,
I hope you guys can help as Apple Support on the phone and in store were useless!!!!
    Dilemma
I had an IPAD 2 and brought the Apple AV composite lead (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC748ZM/A/apple-composite-av-cable) so I could watch my IPAD 2 onto my TV.
Now I have upgraded to an IPAD MINI. this has the new lightning adapter, so I was looking to purchase from Apple their Lightning to 30-pin adapter (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter?fnode=45) so I could reuse my AV composite lead into my TV. And this is where the problems start.....
    1. The Lightning to 30-pin adapter does not support "video"!
    2. My TV does not have an HDMI, so rules out Apple TV, etc
    3. Apple do not do a Lightning AV composite lead and are unlikely to produce one apparently (as there is not the demand)
    My restrictions are as follows;
    1. My TV has scart and AV connections only (but no HDMI)
    2. I need to have audio and video supported (for photos / videos and sound)
    3. I can't afford to buy a new TV... by the way that was the Apple solution, then buy an Apple TV.... they are on a different planet..... lol :-)
Any help, pointers in the UK where I can buy a lead elsewhere would be great or any decent solutions (and they wouldn't have to be great to beat Apples thus far!).... thanks community!

I haven't found any Lightning-to-Composite Video adapter anywhere. You'll probably need the Lightning Digital AV adapter and then an HDMI to composite video converter, as suggested in Patrick's response in this thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4351799?start=0&tstart=0
I've found that suggestion echoed in other places, so that may be your only option.
    Regards.

  • I'm using iA Writer on my new iPad. I've opted to store doc's from this app on iCloud. Now I'm unable to access iCloud and retrieve my doc's so I can continue writing. Needless to say this is very frustrating. Is there a solution for this issue?

Please, need help. I'm using iA Writer. I opted to store doc's on iCloud and now I find I'm not able to access iCloud in order to retrieve said doc's. A solution to this dilemma would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Satya

    iA Writer on iDevice:
Look at the Storage List, there should be an iCloud entry (along with iPad/iPod/iPhone, and Dropbox).  Choose iCloud to get a list of documents.
To write a new file:  Be sure to have iCloud chosen in Storage.  Create new doc, write and click on the Storage list.  File is written to iCloud.
    iA Wrtier on Mac:
Write file and save locally, then choose: File>iCloud>Move to iCloud.
To read a file:  File>iCloud>[choose file name]
I should add that files read by iA Writer must be files created by iA Writer, either on same device/computer or another.
    -- OR --
I may have misunderstood your post.  If my ipad is not connected to the internet, I can still open a file I had saved on iCloud (only this is the "local" copy of it).  When I'm done, it's saved locally but when I turn on wifi and access the file again and then press the Storage List icon, the file is saved to iCloud.  Are you saying that you can't open a local copy when not connected to wifi?

  • Can't upgrade iOS 4.3.3 to iOS 5.1 on iPad

I'm trying to help a technophobe friend update her iPad from 4.3.3 to 5.1. She's done no upgrades to her iOS since getting her iPad. I've done each of mine seamlessly. I am completely perplexed and haven't found an answer to our dilemma since we embarked on this quest. To make it more challenging for me, she has a PC so I'm in foreign territory working on her computer. She also hasn't turned on her laptop in the year she's had her iPad so we had to update iTunes. That part went fine.
We ended up syncing her iPad about three times so all of her apps and music are up to date on the PC and the iPad. The update of the of the iOS appeared to work each time. It took the 89 minutes it predicted at the start. The update message says it's 5.1 and it says it will install after downloading. We have now gone through this process FOUR times. That's a lot of hours for nothing. The last time we actually babysat the process. It was as exciting as watching paint dry. It appeared to flow fine concluded in front of our eyes. The ipad switched to the wallpaper screen and had a small tone. The Apple came back to the top iTunes banner. Then NOTHING. I checked Settings>General>About and it still said Version 4.3.3. We uncounted the iPad, turned it off and powered it up again and it is still on 4.3.3.
    What are we doing wrong?
Her iPad is the Verizon model and I saw in one thread that said there are three varieties of upgrades but I don't know how to verify the right one is downloading from iTunes. I would hope the iTunes connection can detect which version is needed.
I also found on the Apple website the list of four upgrades she neglected before 5.1. It indicates those older updates are available in iTunes but I can't figure out where to get to them. The Upgrade button goes right to the 5.1 version. I'm wondering if there are components in those incremental updates that she needs before 5.1 will work, or does 5.1 install everything she's missed along the way?
Any help or insight on this frustrating situation will be appreciated.

I solved this problem with detective work and hints from another discussion thread. I detailed my solution here on the 3 April 2012 entry of the following thread:
iOS 5.1 won't upgrade my iPod & iPad 2 on my newer mac, but it will install perfectly to my sisters same model iPod using an old windows laptop in the same internet connection in the same house

Perhaps someone else is struggling with the same roadblock. You cannot jump from 4.3.3 to 5.0 or beyond over a wireless connection. You must be plugged in with an ethernet connection to your internet. After 5.0 you can update OTA, translation Over The Air.
I don't know if the OP (Original Poster) was trying to do it wirelessly with a Mac, but in my case it had nothing to do with being on a PC or Mac (with the exception of me being in foreign territory in her house and on her PC - MacLoyal, I am) and everything to do with not having a wired connection to the net.

  • IPad is now severely messed up after connecting iPod to its iCloud account, and after switching to that same Apple ID for iMessage/FaceTime

So, it all started with iMessage. FaceTime had similar log in symptoms as well, but I don't really use FaceTime. The best way I can describe it is with this... Paragraph I sent to my friend, describing my dilemma.
iMessage and everything was PERFECT for about a day, then it stopped working suddenly on my iPad. Then it wouldn't work on both. Then I could sign in on my iPod but not my iPad. Then finally I could log in to both. But it deleted the old send and receive email I was using, so everyone I texted would see an email rather than my name. It WOULD NOT let me add the email again, it would refuse to send a verification email to allow it to work, and would finally just say "error". Now it suddenly stopped working on my iPad and it hasn't worked at all for almost 2 days now. Oh and I only receive notifications for VZ Messages on my iPod, not my iPad. All the settings are perfectly in order on my iPad as well, so I have no clue what to do.
Instagram notifications also have appeared to behave as the VZ Messages notifications have. Any ideas? These are all of my top-used apps, and all of their noticatioms are left broken on my iPad after I added my iPod to my iCloud account, and started using my own Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime.

  • How can I change the default location ipad/iphone pictures are stored in on my desktop?

So here's my dilemma.  I have lightroom mobile on my ipad and iphone.  Seamlessly, lightroom mobile pushes these images to my desktop and saves them in a folder in windows.  I use an SSD and would prefer not doing read/writes to it that are unnecessary.  What makes the default location problematic is that I can't seem to change it.  Further, when I sync my ipad/iphone to my windows desktop using a cable, I will now have duplicates of images that were synced via lightroom mobile.  So, it would be infinitely simpler, I think, if lightroom mobile would sync ipad/iphone images to a directory I specify, on a supplemental hard drive for instance, and using dates for folder names rather than some default directory on my main drive where they are just dumped.

Currently, Lightroom saves the images in a directory structure under a folder named "Mobile Downloads.lrdata", which is created in the same folder as the catalog file.
For example, an image will be saved as:
    Windows = C:\Users\<username>\Pictures\Lightroom\Mobile Downloads.lrdata\<random hexadecimal name>\picture1.jpg
    Mac = Users/<username>/Pictures/Lightroom/Mobile Downloads.lrdata/<random hexadecimal name>/picture1.jpg
you want to change the location of this "Mobile Downloads.lrdata" to another path.
You should file an Idea, AKA Feature Request, to the Feedback site:
    http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family
If there is enough people voting for it, the Product Managers will evaluate it and eventually apply it to a future version.
It's your interest to advertise the Idea in order to increase the number of votes (I would vote for it).
There is another similar discussion in the forum (How do i change the location of 'Mobile Downloads.lrdata' ?), I am posting the same answer there.

  • How do I sync my iPad with a new iTunes library without erasing all the previously purchased apps & data on my iPad?

I'm sure this is a common issue, and I've google-searched for solutions but I cannot find a straight forward answer anywhere. I really hope an expert here can help me out.
I purchased an iPad last year and synced it with my iTunes library on my old PC laptop. Well, my PC laptop harddrive crashed last week and I cannot access anything on my laptop anymore. I did not make a back-up for my PC harddrive either. I know, next time I should make a back-up and I will. But that's irrelevant. The PC is gone now.
I replaced my PC this week with a brand new Mac Book Pro. Excited about my new purchase, I quickly hooked up my iPad with the hopes of easily transferring and accessing my iPages, iNumbers, and other productivity iPad apps seamlessly to my new beautiful Mac Book Pro. But now I've run into the nightmarish dilemma of not being able to sync my beloved Ipad with my new MAC without getting the warning that basically says "your iPad is already synced with another iTunes Library. You may only sync to one iTunes Library at a time. You will lose all your data if you sync to this new computer."
Can someone give me a straightfoward answer as to how I can sync my iPad with my new iTunes Library on my new Mac Book Pro without losing any of the apps that I previously purchased? I want to be able to access the apps I downloaded on my iPad on my Mac Book Pro.
    Thanks so much!!!!!!

  • Complaints for iPad 2/Customer Support

Please bear with me, I am new and extremely dissatisfied/frustratedwith Apple’s hardware, software and customer support.
I received my apple iPad 2 the day before yesterday (orderedthrough AAFES).  I am abroad working inKuwait with the military.  I charged thedevice (of course with the supplied charger and cable), plugged it into mylaptop, which has the most recent iTunes, registered my product and powered iton.  After less than a minute of checkingthe device I noticed a dead (not misfired, but dead) pixel.  My first reactive step was to reset the ipad, hoping that would help.  Reset was successful, but did not correct the dead pixel. I then connected to the net through my wifi router and d/l a couple basecolor photos to see if this would show some reaction from the pixel, the pixeldid not change… it’s dead.
I took the iPad 2 to the nearest distributor in Kuwait.  The representative verified that it was adead pixel and notified me that Kuwait doesn’t “officially” support iPad 2 yetand that they have just gained the support for iPad 1 and that I must contactApple in the States.
I went through the motions and attempted to do an RMA through the net… BUT, Apple will not mail a device to an APO (their reasoninghad something to do with signature confirmation not being available at APO…which I know as a fact is bogus because I work for the APO and yes, we sign forALL accountable items… delivery confirmation, insured, certified and registeredmail on the PS Form 3883 and when a customer picks up their parcel, they sign aPS Form 3849, so please Apple, get your information straight!).  So because of this dilemma, I had to call thecustomer service center.
Luckily I have VOIP because it’s roughly $1 to $2 a minuteto call the US from Kuwait (no, 800 numbers aren’t toll free for internationalcalls, just in case anyone did not know that). The representative was kind and curious, so no complaint with himpersonally.  He asked me to go to a localstore, I filled him in on all the steps I took and asked if I can just ship itto a service center and if they could send me a shipping label (yes, Apple, good customer service departments actually DO pay for a shipping label), he putme on hold to see if he could get approval from senior officer, I mean seniorsupport specialist (I’m guessing it was a “lead” and not a “supervisor”).  He told me that was a no go.  He asked when I would be in America on leave…this is not an option for me in my position. The ONLY option he could give me was for me to ship my device to a friend/familymember, have them go to a retail store, have them “test” the device, then havemy family member/friend ship it back to me. This is very very very problematic for me for soooo many reasons.  First off, it seemed as though, through hisvoice/tone that they would not replace my item with a new item… meaning, theywould repair the BRAND NEW LEMON for me. Second thing is, my only point of contact, my mother, is inFayetteville/Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. The rep told me that the nearest service center is in Raleigh, NorthCarolina.  That is about a two hourdrive, or course depending on traffic; meaning my mom, would have to dedicate aminimum of 4 hours driving.  Next issueis economics, gas is not cheap, and my mom drives a (constant) 4x4 FordExplorer… $$$.  Not Apple’s fault, Iknow.  Next thing is, if they arerepairing the device, how long would that take? She would probably have to drop it off and pick it up later on in theweek.  That now puts us to 8 hours of traveltime, and pretty much two days out of my mom’s schedule.  And the last issue would be, I should now berequired to keep a LEMON.  I want a brandnew, fully functional device, THAT is what I paid for.
How can a company which, according to its June earningsreport, has $76.2 billion in cash and marketable securities treat theirconsumers in such a fashion??? (According to the latest statement from the US Treasury, the governmenthas a cash balance of $73.8 billion, as of Wednesday, FYI.)  This is total and utter bullsh*t.
I will next rant about my hates about their software; I mustremind you that I’m a newb to iTunes and supporting software (I own a coupleiPod classics and had an iPhone 1, but the software continues to mutate).
The iPad 2 Safari browser will not natively allow one todownload… anything.  But for $5 you cango ahead and pay Apple $5 to buy their Safari downloader.
In order to download “FREE” apps from iTunes, you MUST enter your creditinformation… Apple has two work-arounds for this, you can BUY an iTunes prepaidcard… um, guys, please define to me the word, FREE; next (as the rep told me onthe phone) I can register with my credit card, and delete it out later on…hmmmmm I bet it is still saved on the server. Anyone know what just happened to Sony’s network recently?  Yeah, I’m wondering about the legality ofthis, but I’m not a lawyer and US e-laws are about 20 years out dated anyways.
As I said earlier, I reset my device, from the device.  I tried to do this again, and it would justhang on the black screen with the apple logo and a non-responsive statusbar.  So I tried to reset through iTunes.  You can’t just reset the device, you are REQUIRED to have an internet connection and download the newestsoftware.  This is fine if you’re always plugged in, I might not even complain if I was in the US right now… but torequire that is ridiculous… not to mention, if one were to have their device jailbroken (yup, Apple, you lost in court, so deal with it… not just in America,America took a long time to finally tell you that, MULTIPLE countries sewed you and found your tactics unlawful); this makes it difficult to use you free,non-big-brother approved software.
You cannot natively test your video, audio or microphone quality.  Wow, you guys could at leastload an Apple commercial on your device so someone could watch and listen toit.  So I have to d/l skype just to testmy microphone (I’m sure there are many other programs, but the fact that I haveto go out of my way just to make sure the device works, is just, wow, non-expletivesjust can’t explain it).
And last, and probably least, they could have put a couple songs, videos, pictures or games on there. Not a big deal, but if this is supposed to be such an awesome device,Apple, show it off, don’t just advertise and trick the end users into believingthat they will have a nifty device right out of the box.  Do you other users actually pay the extracouple hundred dollars for your programs like Apple wants?.. or are you alljail breaking and unlocking?
I’m sorry to all you die hard Apple lovers if you areoffended, and I’m sorry if I’m naïve or maybe a little ignorant to the “Appleway of life,” but if Microsoft did this, everyone would flip out.  Heck, they got sued for adding extra stuff totheir OS; but, it’s ok for Apple to make their devices so minimalistic that it’shardly better than a word processor with web browsing capability and a couplecameras?  I like my Kindle a lot more, it’san ebook, advertised as an ebook, works as an ebook, and they added some cool extras like text to voice and web browsing.
Ok, I’m done for now. Can anyone please give me some information on how I can get this POS replaced with a brand new, in the box, sealed and fully functional (lol, well,as functional as the iPad 2’s come, out of the box)?  If not, how can I spread my complaint as farand wide as possible?  And with that, does anyone know the buyer’s remorse policy on electronics?  (oh, AAFES won’t give one ounce of supportfor Apple products, normally they would give a 15 day, but for Apple, becausethere have been SO MANY issues, they no longer assist, as a matter of fact, when you buy an Apple device from them, you have to sign a paper saying thatyou understand that if the device is defective or inoperable in any way, thatyou will not ask AAFES for help… at least in the local PX’s here.)
PS I appologize for the typoeees, I cut and pasted all this and for some reason it smushed some of the words together.

I’m not quite sure what you’re referencing as“misinformation” or “ridiculous statements,”
    I was referring to these:
The iPad 2 Safari browser will not natively allow one todownload… anything.
Not true. It can download PDFs and Images. iOS apps are downloaded through the AppStore. But not allowing you to download just any old files is what keeps iOS free of viruses and malware. It's a security feature.
pay Apple $5 to buy their Safari downloader.
Not true. Apple does not make and charge for any Safari Downloader app.
In order to download “FREE” apps from iTunes, you MUST enter your creditinformation…
Not true, as the link posted above proves.
So I tried to reset through iTunes.
No you didn't. You can't reset the device through iTunes. You can restore it, which means re-installing the OS, which of course requires an internet connection to download it.
if one were to have their device jailbroken (yup, Apple, you lost in court, so deal with it…
Not true. Apple didn't lose anything in court. They never even went to court. It was the Copyright Office.
MULTIPLE countries sued you and found your tactics unlawful
Not true. No countries have sued Apple.
You cannot natively test your video, audio or microphone quality.
Not true. iPad is designed to be synced with iTunes, which is where your music and video is stored. The AppStore has many easily downloadable free apps that use the microphone. Videos and music can both very easily be played in the web browser.
they could have put a couple songs, videos, pictures or games on there.
Why? Your iTunes Library should already have songs and videos in. Pictures are easily obtainable, and so are many free games. People would complain like crazy if Apple put loads of crap nobody asked for on their iPad from new like you get on a Windows PC.
don’t just advertise and trick the end users into believing that they will have a nifty device right out of the box.
The iPad does everything it is advertised as doing right out of the box. But you will need videos, music and games to put on it. Same as a CD player plays CDs out of the box, but you need CDs to play on it. A car will take you on journeys, but you need gas to put in it.
Do you other users actually pay the extra couple hundred dollars for your programs like Apple wants?.
Of course people buy apps for their devices. There are hundreds of thousands of apps available. You expect Apple to provide you with every app ever made for free, pre-installed? Get real! People also buy applications for computers and other electronic devices, like they buy CDs for their CD player, DVDs for their DVD player. Nobody expects the manufacturers to provide them for free.
it’s ok for Apple to make their devices so minimalistic that it’s hardly better than a word processor with web browsing capability and a couple cameras?
If you had read reviews of the iPad and read the product info pages on Apple's website, you would've known EXACTLY what the iPad comes with in terms of hardware and software. It's all there in black and white.
I like my Kindle a lot more, it’s an ebook, advertised as an ebook, works as an ebook
The iPad does everything exactly as advertised - if it didn't, Apple would be in trouble with advertising regulators all over the world. Millions of people like the iPad, but if you prefer the Kindle, why buy an iPad? That makes no sense at all.
I have seen and read dozens upon dozens of reviews on the iPad and iPad 2…
Hmmm... somehow I doubt it. If you had, there is absolutely no way you could've had so much misinformation and misconceptions about what the iPad is, does, and comes with.

  • Mail deleted in server still showing up in iPad inbox

Hi, I've noticed that when I delete emails from my hotmail account on the web, the items deleted  are still showing up in my iPad inbox marked as unread. But when I click on it, it says "message cannot displayed."  When I go back to the iPad inbox, then the item disappeared. So now I have to click on each email item to get it to disappear on my iPad inbox.  My settings are set to automatically push for updates so I'm not sure why this is happening.
Conversely, any email I delete on the iPad are deleted on the server when I check them on the web.
Anyone have a solution to this annoying dilemma? I would greatly appreciate it.

    Hi
User search in CUPS is done against LDAP. So if you delete a user from CUCM, it doesn't matter - if the user still exists in LDAP, it will show up.
    Regards

  • I bought an iPad on ebay that may be stolen

I bought an ipad on ebay that may be stolen. IT IS A HUDE DILEMMA. I have already talked to a police officer where I live but he will not file a police report.
I will explain the situation as best as I can. I bout an ipad on ebay and it said Steve's computer and had an Apple ID of a nother perosn. I contacted that person, in an attempt to find out of he is the rightfulowner of the ipad. He said it was stolen and he is the owner. I emailed him several times and found out her never made a police report of the "stolen" ipad. I talked to Paypal and ebay in an attempt to get my mpney returned. In order to get my money returned, I need the police report. I asked the "steve" the so called owner of the iPad to make a police report. He screamed at me on the phone and said he would in no way make a police report.I asked him  why not. Then he canget his computer back. I hung up on him because he was calling me names.
All the time the seller was ignoring my emails. (Of course, a thief's bahavior.)
I opned a case on ebay. Then it turns out the seller has been talking to ebay representatives many times. They(ebay) emailed me many times and asked me to "work it out" with the seller. Ha! ha!
Of course I am very angry because I have an ipad that cannot be used because it is regsitered to someone else. I cannot get my money back and, as you will learn in the next section, I cannot report it as stolen.
I called the police and pone cam eot my house. He asked me how I got it. I explain that I bought it on ebay. Then I told him I have been emailing with who I think the owner is, Steve from somewhere in California. The officer said I should ask "Steve" to make the stolen computer report. I cannot make the stolen computer report in Hawaii, the police officer said, because the crime was committed in California.
Now a day later I get back on ebay and the seller is communicatinbg with me suddenly. (I guess she has had a chnace to make up a plausable story.)
She said that she sold the computer to someone on ebay.(Steve) He didn't like it and returned it to her but did not erase his ownership or apple registratiion details. She (seller on ebay) said that he is mad that she made him pay the return shipping so he is getting back at her by saying it is a stolen computer. In addition, I pleaded with this "Steve" to erase his ownership details so I can use the computer which I actually purachsed. However he refuses to erase his ownership or registration of the computer.
This is my probelm: I want my F______ money back but the seller won't give me my money back. And ebay said for me to "work it out with the seller"
Very funny! I am the only one who is loosing. I paid $350.00 for an iPad that I cannto even use. It may be stolen and it may not be stolen and a stupid police officer in Honolulu will not even report it.
    What can I do?
I have the iPad. I have the serial number. Is ther a way of finind anything out about this computer with the serial number? (I would like to know if it is stolen. I would like to know who really owns it. I would like to get mymoney back and forget this crap ever happened.
Kim 1958 just another old person with a computer

You have a valid claim with eBay against the person who sold it to you. It was sold to you as a usable iPad. The person knew it had a persons ID on it , hence it was sold under false pretenses. Keep all your correspondence with all parties. File the claim within 60 days with eBay and Paypal. Step one is always work it out with the owner, you tried, now file the claim. If they are a legitimate business you'll get your money back, they can't afford the negative feedback. Remember the person knowingly sold you a iPad you could could never register. Misrepresenting a product is probably the number one no-no with eBay.  Good luck.
