Dimension Error

Hi,
Can anyone help? I have changed my dimension to point to another table and am getting the following error when deploying:
ERRORS:
BUSINESS MODEL HB:
[nQSError: 15001] Could not load navigation space for subject area HB.
[nQSError: 15003] Missing most detailed table for dimension tables: [Organisation,Market].
Organisation is the hierarchy name and Market is a level in the dimension containing two attributes taken from Market Dimension Table.

OWB 10g: Creating a dimension: error on hierarchy

Hi there,
i've created a very simple dimension, alike the channel dimension of the sh-samples.
However, when i validate my dimension, i get the error:
--> VLD-0350: In a hierarchy <name>, level relationship binding between parent level "total" and child level "channel" does not exist.
--> Within a hierary a level relationship between levels must be created using the surrogate key column of the parent.
I've created the dimension now several times but one way or the other this error always pops up. I've recreated the hierarchy, still the problem remains. Anybody has a clue how to create this binding?
Any help is very much appreciated!

Thanks for the quick reply, I have a Surrogate key on every level.
*** Problem solved ***, but still a mystery... I actually quite OWB
came back and everything was validating correctly...
Do any of you have such a problem? Things not working, exit come back
in an it works???
Here the problems that I had before the restart...
Here's a quick overview of what I have in the Data Object Editor:
Relational Tab:
I have my "source" table were my data is to fill the Dimension. Validates successfully.
Dimensional Tab:
I have my CUSTOMER_DIM, I did the Bind All I have 2 errors now:
VLD-0345 Level Attribute CUSTOMER ID is not bound to a column in
table or updateble view.
VLD-0350: In a hierarchy STANARD, level relationship binding between parent level
COUNTRY_HEIR and child level BASE_HIER does not exist. (Each level attribute must be bound to a column in a table or updateable view)
In the Object Editor, Dimensional Attributes, I have CUSTOMER_ID that is a Surrogate. In the "Choose the sequence that will populate the Dimension and Surrogate Keys:"
I have selected CUSTOMER_DIM_SEQ. (Within a hierarchy a level relationship between levels must be created using the surrogate key column of the parent.)

Processing a dimension error message failed to expand K2 function

Hi SAP gurus,
For doing processing of a dimension i am getting the error message,
Failed to expand k2 funtion for dimension P_ACCT'S member formulas
Members invalid On Dimensin (RPTCURRENCY:LC)
The error message is only when i am using FORMULA in a dimension, with out FORMULA its processing successful.
I checked with the development environment its working fine even i use FORMULA. But in production its giving the above error message.
How to Resolve the issue in production server.

Hi,
Please do the following on BPC Server:
1). unregister the following dlls :
K2processing.dll, K2processingInternal.dll and K2Logic.dll
All the above files will be in C:\.. \BPC\Websrvr\bin
(Folders)
you have to un each dll saparately at DOS prompt.
regsvr32 /u C:\BPC\Websrvr\bin\k2logic.dll
2). re-register the same dlls :
(K2processing.dll, K2processingInternal.dll and K2Logic.dll)
Running the DOS command for each dll
- The dlls are located in C:\BPC\Websrvr\bin folder
regsvr32 C:\BPC\Websrvr\bin\K2Logic.dll

I unregistered the K2processingInternal.dll and then register again, but the problem was not resolved.
and i am not able to find K2processing.dll, K2Logic.dll in both production and development servers.
in development server also we cant find the above dll files, but its working fine in dev server
The problem is in production server only if i use FORMULA.
please help me to over come the issues

Pixel Bender - 'image dimensions' error message

I can use Pixel Bender in Photoshop as 64bit, but not 32bit. Is that usual to be able to only use 64bit? Also, when I use it, I have to resize the photo at exactly 1020px on the longest side. If I size it any less, PS stops working. If I size it any larger, I get an error message that says -- 'The image dimensions exceed the hardware capabilities of your GPU'. Does this mean I need a different Graphics Card. This is the only program I get this message on.

OK I SOLVE THE PROBLEM
To work around the problem, i modify the column size from varchar2(9) to varchar2(12).
the problem was the size of a column and i changed it.

Period dimension error in EPMA

Hi,
We recently imported the ads file using "replace" option in the import profile and we get the below error when we try to deploy the planning application. Tried to reassign the Begbalance member. But still not resolving the problem.
Error : Period dimension 'Period' is missing a Base Time Period member 'BegBalance' that has been deleted since the last deployment. Base Time Period members cannot be deleted once the dimension is deployed.

Hello Mady,
We are using EPMA applications and Classic applications; unfortunately we haven't taken any backup's of these applications.
I heard from some one that by performing EPMA re-configuration there is a chance of loosing the applications. Only Classic applications can be restored.
Please let me know if my understanding is wrong and kindly suggest the next steps to restore the applications.
Currently we are able to login only to Shared Services only; we can login to Workspace/planning but unable to access the applications.

Processing dimension error :DUPLICATE DIMENSION MEMBER %1 IS DETECTED

When I try to process the Account Dimension, I get an error u201CDUPLICATE DIMENSION MEMBER %1 IS DETECTEDu201D.
However my dimension does not contain any duplicate members.
Appreciate if someone could interpret this error message and help me resolve the issue

Hi Sowmya,
We had same error couple of times. The issue is you could have some blank rows inserted at the end of your master data. Try the following steps
1. Maintain master data
2. Go to the last row with valid master data
3. Select all rows below it and right click and delete
4. Save and process dimension
Hopefully this should resolve your issue.

Process Dimension Error

I get the following error message below in BPC 7.5 when trying to process a user-defined dimension Profit Center (PRCTR)

Hi,
The problem is that the xml file of the dimension is corrupted. Keep a backup of your dimension sheet. Please go to UJFS transaction, delete the xml file of the dimension and then process the dimension once again from the Admin.

Schedule dimension error

Hi All,
When scheduled dimension member processing for the category dimension using the admintask_makedim package with the input dimension = category and the input source table name blank. Geting an error message of "Cannot find TempScheduleMbrCategory table : Location (MakeDimension)".

The data is not getting updated on the client side, because the excel dimension file in the webfolders is not updated. This file needs to be updated after the dimension processing is done. Please update the template version, so that each client machine downloads the new files to the client, the next time they log in.

Entity dimension error.

Hi All,
I deleted Entity dimension and added one more dimension with different name but type as Entoty dimension.
But after the removal of Entity dimension I am getting the following error. Can anyone please tell me what should I do to remove this.
"The 'Entity' dimension has been removed or deleted since the first successful deployment of the application. This application type does not support the deletion of this dimension after deployment. Please re-add the deleted dimension."

You can rename the dimension that is to be deployed.
You will always see "Entity" in EPMA, but as a property for the member you can change what the name will be as it is deployed.
Sorry I don't have EPMA in front of me right now so I can't tell you exactly where it is, but it is one of the properties of the member.

BPC V7 Install process the dimension error "ActiveX component can't create"

All,
We are installing BPC v7 M on SQL 2008.
We have split server Install. We have installed everything as advised by the install guide.
The install for V7 was successful. We can Modified all the app with in the appset. The server manager has all Green checkes.
But wen we process the dimension we get ActiveX component can't create objectObject variable or With block variable not set error.
I have seen this post as well - Re: BPC migration to 7.0
We have make sure our secuirty to the database is working.
We have make sure the xceedzip.dll is in the correct folder.
We can also have installed BPC clinet and Admin few times and re started the server fre times.
Can any one help? any other suggestion?

Thanks for helping, As stated The Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatibility Components on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Feature Pack was not installed on app server and causing the problem.
I have installed that patch on APP server and all is working.
Points are awarded.

Manage Metada: add members to the Scenario dimension (ERROR)

I tried to add a new member to Scenario ddimension, but I got error.
How (where) can I find out what it is wrong with my input data? What procedure checks data before saving?

there are some crucial and compulsory properties which you have to include to be able to add a new scenario.
it is better to try to do it through the tree view, with the properties on the right, than the list view in my opinion.
take a screenshot or make a note of the properties of one of your existing scenarios and create a new one copying those properties exactly to begin with, changing just the name, and then worry about changing other properties one at a time. Be sure that what you enter for default parent is a valid default parent in the tree structure.

Measues dimension error

Hi,
When i select the member "periodic" the "Calculated member is selected" appears..
Meaning that my app thinks that the periodic is a father in the hierarchy. Which is not..
Any ideas on how to fix that?

Into application Parameters (web admin page - application parameters) you can find the type of your application.
Calculate members doesn't means it is something changed into hierarchy.
A calculate member can be a basemember but with dimension formula.
Actually this is the difference for measure.
If you have an application YTD then Periodic is calculate and reverse.

Import Dimension Errors

I imported an ADS file and it produced 77,000 warnings. If I try to go into the job console, it never opens the log - assuming due to the number of warnings. The table in the repository that has the jobs appears to be JM_Job. Does anybody know what tables show the detailed results/warnings?

Other approach is looking for your SP. On BPC7.5 SP00 sometimes we didnt get error log, but on BPC7.5 SP08 we can see more details of the errors.
