Dimension of Pages document too large to display

I'm working on a large banner for a client (3 meters wide, 1.5 meters high) and Pages doesn't seem to be able to display the whole document when I choose fit page. Have I run into a limitation of the app? Is it a bug? Any workaround?
Thanks!

The smallest scale is 25%, which translates to 750x 375mm or roughly 2125 x 1063 pixels, viewable on larger iMacs. Works on mine in both Pages '09 and Pages 5.
What version of Pages are you using?
Have you tried scaling the banner?

This is a really hard post to read. See if you can take a bit of time to reword it, but one thing I do understand is that you are getting this error:
page header plus page footer too large for the page.
Typically, you can trust that if the error is thrown, it is true. E.g.; this is not one of those errors that says one thing, and means another. I suspect that you have some field(s) in the header(s) that grow, depending on the data. If there is too much data or the data is too long ( a text for example), the error will be thrown. To resolve this, see if placing the field(s) into a group footer / header will help.

  • My website page is too large

hi guys i have created webpages for my site but the pages are
too larg in or wide how can i setep to a normal ixplorer page or
what is the size to setup?/

Resolution only determines the maximum browser width. You may
    well have a
fancy new monitor with a preferred browser width of 800 (or
    less) px. It's
the browser width that causes your layout to fail, not the
    resolution.

  • Saved documents Too Large

I downloaded a newer ver of Adobe reader XI. Now all my docs save in 150 + Zoom (large). I had the same problem with my older version, but I fixed it by going into 'PREFERENCES--> PAGE DISPLAY' abd adjusting the 'ZOOM' to 100%. I did this here with the newer version but this won't work and they still save too large WHY?

Ok, But how do I fix? Now, I save a document and it is too large? I know I had this problem before and I fixed it by setting my Zoom setting in ‘Preferences’ in MY reader (on my  installed application on my hard drive) to 100%, and all the document I opened thereafter on MY Adobe Reader were regular size. (Fit to screen). Now, I open documents and they are all zoomed to 164%.
    WHY? How can I fix?
    Thank You

  • Printing pdf documents too large acrobat pro 10.1.12 and OS 10.9.5

Using my Acrobat pro 10.1.12 and IMac OS 10.9.5, all my pdf documents print about 10 - 15% too large and run off page even though they are standard size documents and print fine using my Mac Air OS 10.8 and Acrobat Pro 10.1.1.  The "shrink" and "Fit" settings are ineffective and I don't think they should be necessary anyway since these are standard size documents. Please help!!!  THANK YOU

Correctn. My problem came from firefox. Once I changed page setup under the file heading, it worked fine. Seems the new install of adobe somehow changed the setting in firefox to 150%.

  • News pages load too large

When I open Newser, Daily Beast or Huffington the sites load too large to fit my screen. I have used Ctr+ 0, zoom ctr+0, _ and + keys, and ctr+mouse wheel, etc. They all work to reduce the page to the correct size.
However, when I next boot up these same sites they once again load too large.
How can I save or permanetly access these sites properly?

  • Exported PDF page size too large on screen

Fairly new to InDesign ( and loving it )
I am creating a document using InDesign v5. which has a page size of 8.5 x 11 in and two pages to a spread.
When I export a page or a spread to PDF the page or spread will print fine BUT when I view this PDF on screen at 100% the size is quite a bit larger than 8.5 x 11 in
can anyone explain why and how I can view the file at 100% on screen AND at the correct printing size.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
    Graham

    Try this in Acrobat.
Edit > Preferences (Win) or Acrobat > Preferences (Mac). Then select Page Display > Resolution > Use System Setting

  • Pages documents "too old to open?"

I have folders of important documents created using older versions of Pages that will not open in the new version. I do not have an older version of Pages on this (new) computer. Is there a known solution?

You should still have your older software in your Applications/iWork folder.
Pages 5 will not open Pages '08 files and does a poor job of opening Pages '09 files. It also has over 90 features removed.
You can archive /trash Pages 5 and continue using your older version.

  • Printing from Flash page is too large for paper size

Here's what happens: I go to a favorite Sudoku web page (http://games.latimes.com/indexsudoku.html?uc_featurecode=lasud) and hit the "print" button on the page to print the puzzle. When I look at it in Preview, the puzzle extends off the page on the right and bottom. The same happens when I print it directly to my printer. Also happens if I select "Save to PDF". It seems that somewhere between the web page and my Mac, something forgets or ignores that my default printer is letter size and insists that my paper is larger.
If I print the same puzzle in my Windows virtual machine to the PDF printer, the puzzle is normal. So, I figure something is amiss on the Mac side and I don't have a clue what it is. (I am new to Mac).

Thanks for the advice. I did all you suggested and then tried it. Looks like everything boils down to Page Setup. I have two printers here at work and everything works fine if I set the HP Color Laserjet as my default in Page Setup. However, if I use the Canon MP830, the page goes wacko like before. For the Canon, the Canon IJ Driver (ver 4.8.3) was automatically selected at installation.
Doesn't matter which printer I print to...it all seems to depend on which printer I select in Page Setup. Any ideas on what is going on?

  • [0.8.8] Album artwork on Artist pages is too Large

Please note: This idea only applies to Spotify client version 0.8.8+
I will admit this is partly my idea, but it has also been pointed out by Dvipe19 on this Idea.
On the latest client, the size of the album artwork has been increased, meaning that there is less room to display track information alongside it.
There should be an option to change the size of this album artwork (or turn it off completely).
Alternatively, the album artwork could be shrunk to be the same size as it is for singles:
For comparison, this is what album artwork was displayed like in 0.8.5 (thanks to David for the screenshot)
    Thoughts?
    Peter

2014-04-03 Hey guys! We’re updating this idea to “Watch this Space”.
As you may have heard, we've just introduced. Now Spotify has a darker theme, refreshed typography and rounded iconography. You can get a glimpse of the changes right here.
Our new design, Your Music and the updated Browse will roll out gradually to our iPhone, desktop and web users from today, and will soon be available across all platforms. Keep an eye here for updates.

  • My firefox page/style format suddenly changed. I would like the original style format. Also, the size of the page and the print/font became too large and I can't seem to change it back. Thanks.

The new firefox (5.0 I think)) suddenly appeared. I did not request it. I want to change it bacl. Also, The font/print and page is too large and I want to return back to the original size Please help! Thanks.

Maybe it got zoomed? Try Ctrl-0 (zero) and see if the text changes back to normal.

  • Web pages too large

I just purchased a MacBook for the first time and I am having a problem with my web page being too large. I have to scroll almost half the page to read the screen. I have been unable to find a solution to fit the page to the screen. I have been unable so far to find this problem on this sight. Is this normal with Mac? (I hope not). If not is there a solution?

Are you saying that the size of the webpage is too large? i.e font size, text, etc.? Or the application window itself?

  • PS is too wide (large) to display on my iMac

I don't know what I've done, but both my my lightroom  and PS CS4 are now too large to display on my iMac.  Both vertically and horizontally.  I've been using them for a couple of years and never had this problem?  Any ideas on how to fix this?  I hate having to move the cursor to each side of the screen to see the panels in Lightroom and the same in Photoshop.

You accidentally resize the frames to large. Increase the resolution of the screen just temporarily so you can see the bottom right corner of the frames then reszie them smaller and that will hold when you relaunch.
If you can somehow drag the frames until you see the lower right corner then you do not have to change the resolution of the screen just drag that corner toward the center of the screen until you are happy with the size of the frame.
I sometimes make it bigger so I do not accidentally adjust some thing I dod not want to adjust. Probably not necessary but I do it any way.
