Dimensional References for Cinema VESA Mount Adapter

I would like to know the dimensional references based in the displays outside edges (vertical and horizontal) for each of the four screw holes available for the Cinema display VESA Mount Adapter.

Hi,
There is no custom made for the machine. VESA mount is a standrad and it will fit if your machine also has this standard. They sell many shapes and sizes around, you can find one at your local TV shop given your PC supports VESA mount. Please use the following article to check your machine at the back:

  • Does the VESA Mount Adapter - sold in Apple Store - work for iMac 21.5 Mid 2011

I just wanna know if the VESA Mount Adapter works for 21.5 inches iMac Mid 2011.
    Thanks

Unfortunatelly, it's not clear on the Apple Store Website.
And here in Brazil, the store support people says that it's OK for my 21.5" iMac. The technical support people says it's not OK and further, they said that I should have ordered an iMac without the stand and ready for VESA mounting.
So, the only option that I have is to buy another iMac ready for VESA mounting, which is kind of impossible, here in Brazil, due to the higher prices.
I'm gonna wait for my next trip.
    Thanks BGreg.

  • Installing vesa mount adapter

I Boughy a versa mount 39.99 for my iMac 27in computer.I take off the stand but the pin stayed inside and its not popping out like it should. What can I do?? I have the bracket to mount it but I can't screed it in the computer without the pin sticking out any suggestions I can't even screw on the stand. I need help

If you don't rotate your display all the way forward after releasing the internal spring the, the internal bracket won't lock into place. If the bracket is not locked into place once you remove the stand the bracket will retract back into the display making it impossible to install the bracket. You're hosed, sorry. You probably should take it to the Apple Store and pay whatever they charge to get the bracket back out of the iMacs body as I believe it's going to require a complete tear down in order to access it.

I have a new iMac (late 2013) 27 inch - I would like to fit a vesa mount - if I take it to an Apple authorised repairer can they fit one and remove the stand?

  • Getting New 24" iMac - Can New Ones Use VESA Mount?

I've got a tall desk and my old 20" is a little too high so if I go with a 24", I'll need to position it a little better.
Do all 24" (old and new) iMacs accept a VESA mount? Any advice on doing this (tips, what to do, what NOT to do, etc)
    Thanks!
    Mark

The both new and old 24" models have a VESA mount adapter kit, according to their specs pages.

    Look in the Other row.
I believe this is still the same kit for the newer aluminum 24-inch iMacs.

  • Custom vesa mount late imac 2013 27"

    hi
    Let's say hypothetically
1 I can open Imac behind it, i see this screw i take them out, so the stand is out
2 i bought the vesa mount which works for previous version of Imac, i see the screw but the new imac screw is inside the back of the panel
3 I hire somebody at the metal/aluminium shop to measure up the adapter that would fit into the screw and make the screw just like the old imac thus it will give new room for the vesa mount to fit in
am I missing anything? Anybody out there expert to give me the inside behind the apple imac case panel
    thanks so much

  • New 21" imac VESA mount

Does the new 21" IMac coming out this month have a VESA mount or is there an adapter for it?

    Eric,
I found this on Apple's site, it is designed to work with current 27" iMacs.

  • Seeking a lightweight reclining stand(iMac vesa mount models)

Hi, I purchased a 21.5 iMac with the Vesa mount adapter assuming it would not be that hard to find a suitable reclining/retractable stand instead of a wall mount that can easily allow the user to obviously adjust these iMacs into a 90' 60' 30' viewing stance easily transporting the device throughout their home or office. I do have an HP all-in-one which does have a reclining stand/wall mount already installed but adds so much weight to the computer because it is also a wall mount  are there any suggestions out there or is Apple possibly working on offering such an accessory since releasing these vest mount options over a year ago

    Go to
    imac mount display
    google it.

  • Cinema VESA wall mount and original iMac G5?

This has probably been asked before, but does the Cinema VESA wall mount like this one:
    http://www.macconnection.com/ProductDetail?Sku=5202648
Work with the iMac G5 1.8 Ghz original model? Or is only the original wall mount that came out when that iMac came out able to work with it?

I was hoping to find something on this forum about locating the VESA adapter kit for the G5 iMac and your thread is all there is . Every on-line retailer that shows them in stock actually have none (I called 5 different ones...Why can't they update websites?!?!)
Did you have any luck finding one. I am moving into a smaller studio and I desperately need to mount my 17-inch iMac. I can't find anyone anywhere! I even called the Apple store number listed on the website and the guy on the phone acted like he had no clue how to even search to see if Apple had any and his response was, "AppleCare would probably be able to help you out more than I could.." Sure enough I got transfered to a dead-end and after 20 minutes I hung up the phone!
What happen to all of the VESA mounts they had. I swear like 3 months ago they were selling them in the on-line store! What does Apple do with all of them? Trash them?
Anyways, please let me know if you were successful. So far I am getting no where

  • Replace Late 2012 27" iMac stand for Vesa Mount

    Hello
I purchased the Late 2012 27" Vesa iMac as soon as it came out. Now, I'd like to wall mount it and I see that there's a VESA compatible iMac. I don't want to sell my iMac and buy another one with the VESA adapter. Does anyone know if it's possible to take my currrent iMac to an Apple Service Center and have the stand swapped for the vesa adapter?
    Thanks!

Not possible unfortunately as the mount is built into the back of the computer...you will have to come up with another solution or replace the machine. I seriously doubt an Apple Store would perform this upgrade but an AASP might, you need to visit one and discuss it with them.

  • Vesa Mount for New 27" iMac, does it exist?

    Hi,
Has anyone found a solution for mounting the new 27" iMac? The Vesa mount apparently doesn't fit the new computer.
    Thanks!

I found this but I don't have confirmation that it works, nor can I find out how to dissassemble my iMac to do so:

If anyone thinks this might work (or better still if you've tried it), please let me know.

  • VESA mount recommendation for tilted desk?

My desk is tilted about 5 degrees to the right. I'm interested in a VESA mount stand for my 27" iMac so that I can untilt the whole shebang. Any recommendations?

I just installed this mounting yesterday and it looks great.  One thing I should mention is that I had to remove the mounting after finding out that the right side back compartment cover where the I/O ports reside cannot be opened and removed after the mounting is attached, so remove the cover first before installing the mounting hardware!

  • Cannot find L6V75AA (VESA mount for 27xw) anywhere

Hi, I purchased 27xw monitors, and would like to mount. According to the product page, L6V75AA is the VESA mount kit for this monitor, but I can't find anywhere.  I've talked to HP reps, but even they have no clue where I can buy the product. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/products/oas/product-detail.html?oid=8525135 Does anyone know where I can buy them?  Can someone please help? Thank you in advance!

I have also been looking everywhere for this mount kit and went through 5 HP representatives over the phone in order to purchase this, NO ONE has NO IDEA where I can get it from. It's quite ridiculous that you sell a product on your own site, but don't know where I can purchase it from. On top of ALL that, the last customer Rep hung up the phone IN MY FACE when I asked to speak to her manager, this is absolutely disgusting! If It is this hard for me to find out where to purchase this Mounting kit I'll stop purchasing my monitors from HP altogether and discontinue my 10+ years of business.

  • 20" VESA mount - why not?

can anyone explain why there are no VESA mount kits for the 17" & 20" intel imacs, but there is for the 24"
according to this article, its certainly possible...:
    http://www.wikiela.com/wiki/Howto_wall_mount_a_Core_2_Duo_Intel_iMac_20_or17
...which begs the question -- why didnt apple make an official one??
    thanks!

I just thought I would post the resolution to this issue, in case anyone needs to search this issue in the future.
The holes between the small bracket and the VESA adapter did not line up when I installed both.
However, I did some more searching and found someone who noticed the same issue, but got it to work.
In order to make it work ...
First attach the small bracket to the iMac/Display. (the one that requires all the small screws)
Then you have to attach the VESA adapter to the small bracket, which requires a single screw.
You have to torque the single screw down all the way, until it bottoms out.
When you do this, it pulls the small bracket up and in line with the VESA adapter.
I was reluctant to tighten this screw down so much, but it's the only way the holes will line up.
After doing so, I could then attach the final two screws to complete the installation.
The iMac is now mounted on the VESA adapter just fine.
It would probably be helpful if the installation instructions were more specific about making sure that one screw had to be torqued all the way until it bottomed out in order for the holes to line up.
