Dimmed pop-up box display

I'm trying to figure out how to do this in DW4.

See link above and click on any of the images; see how the browser screen goes a little dark and the image displays with an X to close it? I want to do this same thing but be able to play a Flash video in the pop-up box.
Can someone help me with this in DW4?

As you can see from the following image, there is a problem with the JS.
Try placing the document and the supporting files into the root directory. If that works go here for more info http://www.clearbox.hu.
It may be that you have to fiddle with the path in clearbox.js
Incidently, it works fine in IE9

When I try to install "Addblock Plus", a pop-up box displays "Add-on downloading", and "unknown time remaining - 0 bytes (0 bytes / sec)". My local area connection status box shows that it is connected but that nothing is being received.

I am using Firefos 9.0.1 under Windows XP. I use Avast anti-virus. My Add-ons bar is empty. I have not initiated the installation of any plug-ins. Downloads keeps no record of my attempts.

I have done that trouble shooting with results, as follows:
Started in safe mode
In Tools/Options/Advanced/General, I unchecked "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Clicked on Tools/Add-ons
"Get add-ons" displayed "Loading" indefinitely
All 5 Extensions are dis-abled: it suggested that I remove "Microsoft.net framework assistant 1.2.1" & "Test pilot 1.2".
On "Microsoft.net framework assistant 1.2.1" I Clicked "Remove". It remained but with version 0.0.0.
On "Test pilot 1.2" I clicked "Remove". It disappeared.
The single Appearance "Default 9.0.1" is disabled
None of the 16 plug-ins are disabled.
I clicked on Add-ons and "Get add-ons" displayed "Loading"
Several minutes later I found that, "Add-ons" had loaded.
I clicked on "Most popular" and then on "Add to Firefox " within "Adblock plus"
A pop-up box displayed "Add-on downloading", and "unknown time remaining - 0 bytes (0 bytes / sec)".
Within a minute, a Firefox "Alert" pop-up window opened with the message: "An error occurred during a connection to www.mozilla.org:443 / The OCSP server experienced an internal error. / (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_server_error)"
I bookmarked the "Most popular add-ons page"
I closed Firefox and opened it again - not in safe mode.
Clicked on Tools/Add-ons. "Get add-ons" displayed "Loading".
In Extensions, on "Microsoft.net framework assistant 1.2.1" I Clicked Disable", and Restart Firefox
I clicked on Tools/Add-ons. "Get add-ons" displayed "Loading". Message displayed "Connected to services.add-ons.mozilla.org. Waited.
10 minutes later I opened a new tab and clicked on the "Most popular add-ons page" bookmark. Message displayed "Connected to add-ons.mozilla.org". Waited.
15 minutes later, neither of the tabs had responded. I re-started firefox in safe mode
I clicked on Tools/Add-ons. "Get add-ons" displayed "Loading". Message displayed "Connected to static-ssl-cdn.addons.mozill.net"
Using the new tab from above which was not active on restart, I clicked on the "Most popular add-ons page" bookmark.
The bookmarked page opened. I clicked on "Add to Firefox " within "Adblock plus"
Again, a pop-up box displayed "Add-on downloading", and "unknown time remaining - 0 bytes (0 bytes / sec)". (No Alert this time).
I don't know what to read into all of this. Any advice on what the next best thing to do would be appreciated.

For our client business, we need to achieve the below functionality. Please suggest me the best method to implement.
1. When the user logged into the application, it should pop up a box by displaying the No# of SR in "New" Status that are assigned to the user who logged in.
2. The pop up box should update it self every 1hr from the time of login and should not require seperate query or refresh.
I have done some initial analysis by using browser script and some recursive functions like(setTimeout).

What I want is to display messages (like, OK or ERROR) in the GUI in a pop up box (windows), is there any special java component or do I have to create a dialogbox?
I mean, something similar like the FileChooser.

Detail: I am having a HTML from, having text box, displayed using UIWebView. If user types in text box it shows the keyboard. Now If user tap and hold on text box it shows a popup menu. Now while keyboard and pop up are being displayed user scrolls the view. At this time it shows pop up over the keyboard which I need to hide.
I tried setMenuVisible of UIMenuController when popup rect and keyboard rect intersects each other on viewDidScroll but it didn't help me.
Any clues will help a lot.

To buypass the SAP standard POP up box in PO create and change mode

In purchase order ME21N or ME22N, i have made changes using enhancement MM06E005. It is in FM Exit_sapmm06E_012 that i have my new code. Here when the business requirement is met the custom warning message is triggered.
With this, i get sap pop-up box like this when i try to save or do checking:
Save Doc
System messages issued
Do you want to save document or process data ?
'Save' Edit cancel -

I like to bypass this sap pop-up box. Instead, when my business condition is met upon save or enter, i like to display the message where user can see it directly.
Anyone has come across this for ME21N ? Any suggestions are welcome.

Anyway, have you tried issuing your message as type 'E'? If you're on ECC 6.0, you can do it with the addition DISPLAY LIKE so you can have the desired effect.

Pop up Box while workflow executes an activity step

Hi Folks!
I dont know whether this is feasible or not, but please shoot your suggestions.
I want to display a pop up box in SAP GUI when a workflow executes a particular step. Basically, once my workflow starts, I have included a condition step (it checks the document type). So if the document type is 'X', then the workflow should proceed as usual. However, when the document type 's 'Y', the workflow should throw a pop up message over the screen and the workflow should terminate.
Now the reason why we want the pop up screen rather than an email/workitem is because we have two workflows that utilize the same business object (FIPP). There was a situation where an end user manually started *(thru 'services for object'-> start workflow) the wrong workflow for a document, due to which the document got posted without getting any approvals.
So what we would like to achieve is when the user manually starts the wrong workflow, the workflow should proceed and then when the check condition fails the user should get a pop up box immediately in SAP itself saying that the wrong workflow was started.
Your inputs/comments are most welcome.

I am sorry but it is not possible to throw pop up every time, actually workflow consists of background task which got executed without user intervention and in those cases no pop up will come up.
You can get pop up box for dialog task (such as user decision etc)you have to write down business object method code for that.
there are many ways you can handle your situation:
1. Write down the Check FM for FIPP-Posted Event where you can check it whether it is approved or not, If not then do not complete the workflow and start some dialog WI and send across to approvers
(It is just outline, you have to formulate the solution around this outline).
2. Also you can check for BAdi or user Exit and directly can write down message for that, It seems more easy.

ITunes error pop up box and software license agreement - can't launch iTunes

Cannot get iTunes to launch. Pop up box with Display Setting error and a iTunes software license agreement I cannot accept or decline. Anyone seen anything like this?

Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from Microsoft:

Now run the utility ("Start > All programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries, and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC, and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through this time?

A pop up box flashes up at random points. Do not know what the box displays as it is too fast.

Yellow pop up box when hovering over links missing in CC?

The behavior when hovering over links in the Links Panel in CS6 was a yellow pop up box with the full path of the link displayed.
I find that is not the behavior in CC and I am really missing that.
Have I missed a setting somewhere to enable this in CC?

That was it.
Tool tips was not enabled. Enabling it brings back the yellow box. Didn't really think of that as a tool tip.

Pop-up box & condition

Hi,
We have created some pop-up boxes (Text object with html), but we would like them to be displayed based on certain conditions. For instance, if a function is executed successfully, the pop-up box should not appear. Or if a key figure has a specific amount, the pop-up box should appear.
Is there a way to build a logic to achieve that?
The white paper 'How To validate key figure values in Manual planning' can issue error messages but does not give the user the ability to execute or not a subsequent function.

What are your javascript skills like?
You could use javascript to read the contents of the message box, check for successful planning functions, then throw up a pop-up choice to execute a BPS planning function (search the forum - there are a few threads for executing functions using javscript) depending on a condition determined by a range of key fig values that you specify....
Marc Bernard posted the following script as a way to sort through the message box and only return messages of a certain message number...........use this as a start to scroll through a return/find certain message types, then write a little script which executes the relevant BPS function.....

Pop-up box upon mouse click without separate URL

I'm not sure what to call this, so I have referred to it as a "pop-up box upon click" for lack of a better description. I am an amateur and have taught myself how to make this site.
Hi there, here is what I am trying to do...There is a page on my website that display details about our shows. Instead of having all info displayed all the way down the page, I want it to be tucked away neatly, so the viewer can click it for more details. All they would see initially is just the date and location. I have tried the Adobe spry collapsible panel but I'm not a fan of it and it keeps breaking when I try to update it.
How I want it to look and behave is like the Photos page on my website. I want to click whichever show I am interested in reading more about, and have a neat and clean little box pop up with the details and an 'X' to close it (exactly looking and behaving like when I click a picture thumbnail to enlarge it). It would be nice if the content inside the box was selectable for the viewer as well so they can copy and paste the info. I don't want to have to create and link to new page for evey single show we book.
Please let me know a code I can implement to do this, how to edit the content inside the new box, and where to put it on my page's code.

Just went and dl'ed the adobe widget browser and found something under lightbox called clearbox which can display web content. I added it to "My Widgets". It tells me to import it into dreamweaver, to go to Insert>My Widgets and select the widget. Only problem there is no Insert>Widgets in Dreamweaver CS3 for PC. I am quite lost now. I tried to configure it and all that but no clue where it is saving to or how to go about this. I am wondering what an easy step by step would be for this eg:
1 Open Dreamweaver
2 insert a clearbox link on your page by Doing "this"
3 Insert "this" code "here"
4 host "this" file on your website's ftp
5 edit "this" part of the code for content and "this" part for the header

You can hide that container or set the <b>browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl</b> pref to an empty String on the <b>about:config</b> to make Firefox use some default snippets.

Need to create pop-up box in custom subscree in MM01

I have a requirement where i need to include custom sub-screen in one of the tabs in MM01. The custom sub-screen has a button clicking on which should display a pop-up box, where user can enter values like some long text etc and then when user clicks 'Save' in MM01/02 the pop-up text along with other details should get saved into the z tables.
1. Created a custom subscreen and assigned it in SPRO under, Logistics-General -> Material Master -> Configure the material Master-> Define Strcture of Data screens for Each Screen sequence
2. Created a new screen of type 'modal dialog box'. This modal dialog box i want to use as a pop-up when user hits button on the custom subscreen.
Pls. confirm how this can be achieved.
