DIP - Cost Elements differents sales prices

Hi,
I've create a DIP profile for quotations using the Cost Elements as characteristic.
In TCode DP81 I see all the costs of the project gathered by cost element properly. I don't know why, but the sales prices value is zero for all cost elements.
Nevertheless my question is: How can I apply, by default, a different percentage to each Cost Element?
i.e. I would like to charge, always a 5% all the costs on cost element XXX and a 4% on all the costs on cost element YYY (I don't mind if i have to define this percentages by cost element or by SET)
Thanks a lot

Hi
1. Regarding Sales Price values being Zero :-
a. Cross check your ODP4 customization.
b. What is  your "Transfer Costs ..." indicator in Material determination" ?
2.  Regarding different profit % :-
a. Maintain one full set for Source Selection Criteria (full set means for example containing both Cost Element "XXX" & "YYY")
b. In Material Determination, maintain two line items.  Criteria for each material will be a separate set of Cost Elements, say SET1 (with CE XXX) & SET2 (with CE YYY)
c. By this, you create two line items in the quotation. Maintain the desired profit % against the relevant profit condition type from your pricing procedure.

  • Diff between cost element category 1 and 11

What will be the major difference if we create cost element under category 1 and under category 11.
    I am facing one issue:
Sales commission expenses account - needs to be triggered while releasing sales invoice.
System is behaving differently if we create cost element category as 1 and 11.

    Hi,
Cost element category 1 is used for primary cost and 11 is used for revenue cost element.
Sales commission is which have directly related to sales invoice i.e deductions then use cost element category 12 .
If your using category 1 then it should assign to cost center or internal order, if using category 11 or 12 then it should assign to Profit center.

  • Internal price vs sales price

    Hi!
Do you know if its possible to get the internal sales price (cost) vs the sales price (benefit) in MS Project? This so that we can easily see the surplus of the project.

    Hi,
    You could use the
cost rate table with the internal cost as rate A and the external cost as rate B. Then just switch the assignments from A to B table to see the external cost.
    Hope this helps,

  • RA method 15 ignoring certain Cost of Sales Cost Elements for its calculat

    Hi,
We are using RA method 15 to calculate revenue accruals for costs posted to a WBS element, but not yet billed.
We normally have cost of sales being posted to a GL / Primary Cost Element (type 1) 601000, with quantities, which is then picked up by RA correctly and which adjust the revenue accruals accordingly.
We are using a further GL / primary cost element (type 1) to post manual adjustments to (602000). This also has quantities posted to it. This is included in the configuration in OKG5, with the same settings as the cost element 601000.
For some reason, this account is not being included in the RA calculation.
does anyone have any ideas why this might be the case?
    Many thanks in anticipation
    Jill

Is CE 602000 included in the DIP Profile for RRB?
Methods 14 and 15 work in concert with the DIP Profile.  Check is the CE is included in the Source Selection.

  • COPA cost base same cond. map to NET Sales different cost elements problem

    Hi Guru,
    I have the following issue:
I mapped ONE billing condition type assigned to ONE value field.  ZPCD is assigned to value field VV110 (net sales)
That one condition type can post to 2 different cost element based on the account assignment group of the item
One cost element is set up and revenue type 11 and the value is posted to COPA value field NET SALES
The other cost element is set up as cost type 1 and the posting to COPA is blank i.e. no posting to value field NET SALES
In both cases a COPA document is created i.e. total 2 COPA documents one for each posting.
    What is the problem??
    Thanks
    Linda

For the purchased products, you may perhaps use the condition type VPRS to bring in the  material price from the material master.

  • DIP - Sales Price -Resource related biling

    Hi All
Please refer discussion - Sales Price -Resource related biling
My case is more or less same as above discussion. I completely understood the DIP settings you mentioned, as far as my case is concern, this is purely a service company where they use ZPSV and ZPSF and pricing conditions to bill the customer. I can see EK02 with correct value in DMR, how can i bring this EK02 value appear as Net value
    1) Do i need to create PR00 and check the settings required to copy value of EK02 to PR00...
OR 2) What is the pricing procedure set up to bring the EK02 value to ZPSV or ZPSF.
ZPSV and ZPSF  are Service price item ans flat serive price... these are manual conditions
This discussion is branched out by Moderator from Sales Price -Resource related biling to create new discussion.

    Hi suresh,
EK02 is just cost collected from your service order. If you want to Bill the customer only the cost you can copy that EK02 value either to ZPSV or ZPSF with just tweaking your pricing procedure steps
or if you want to add markup ( marginal value) on EK02, then calculate on EK02 with percentage of profit and put this on manual condition type
above said procedure depends on how you want to bill the customer, based on your requirement you can select any of the above approach
revert back if you still face some problem

  • Sales Pricing without Inquiry using detailed Cost element Planning

    Deal All,
I need to use use Sales Pricing without Customer Inquiry to Genrate Quatation from Project.
In my project client is asking to use deatiles cost element planning for same. So, let me know
Weather its possible to use Detailed cost element planning for doing Sales pricing in DP82
or Do we need to use ECP only to do Sales Pricing??
Also, let me know if there will be any change in RA method also.
    regards,
    Atul

    Hi Atul,
You can use any of the cost planning method (i.e Details cost element planning, ECP or Network Costing) to create Quotation using DIP Profile.
Coming to the second point..any effect on RA calculation..This Quotation creation process is no where effects RA calculation.
basically for creating Quotation usign DIP Profile, there should be cost element wise planned cost required.
    Hope this clears you...
    regards,
    Hari.

  • Sales Order - order reason - cost element error in PO creation

    Good day Friends,
We have a third party order scenario in our group among different company codes (FI-SD).   This scenario is working fine among the existing companies.
Now there is a requirement from finance department to capture the revenues at different cost centers based on the order reason selected in the sales order.
When order reason is mentioned in the sales order the system is giving error at the time of purchase order creation as u201CCreate account 123456 for 16.05.2010 as a cost element in controlling area INTu201D
Where as if the sales order is created without order reason there is no problem in purchase order creation.
Here the account 123456 cannot be created as cost element because it will stop the other existing processes in this controlling area.
    Thanks

I can tell you why it's occurring and maybe give you a few suggestions on what to do.  The G/L account assignment for the third party sales process is determined based on the account key/modifier assigned to the transaction and the valuation class assigned to the material.  In this case, the account key/modifier is determined based on the account assignment category assigned to the purchased order (in the standard system the account assignment category is X for third party processing and the account modifier is VAX).  You would find the G/L account based on the combination of the account key = GBB, account modifier and valuation class using t-code (OBYC).
Saying all that, currently that combination is finding a G/L account that is not setup as a cost element (probably your cost of goods sold  account) and that's normal for these types of posting.  You can only make postings to cost centers for accounts that are setup as cost elements, so currently the system will not let make a posting to a cost center.
So if you want this transaction to post to a cost center, but don't want to create a cost element for this account, then you must use a different G/L account for these postings.  The simplest options would be to either change the account modifier assigned to the account assignment category or assign a different valuation class to these materials.  Once you've change one of those you can now assign a different G/L account to that combination in OBYC and create that account as a cost element.
    thanks,

  • Difference between type of Secondary Cost Element Category?

    Hi,
I checked the system, and during the secondary cost element (CE) creation, I can select some of the CE category as follows:
    21 Internal settlement
    31 Order/project results analysis
    41 Overheads
    42 Assessment
    43 Internal activity allocation
    50 Project-related incoming orders: Sales
    51 Project-related incoming orders: Other
    52 Project-related incoming orders: Costs
    61 Earned value
My question, what kind of report that I can read entries with these kind of CE?
Reason: I want to check what has been posted to these secondary CE.
    Or
Could anyone explain the use of above-mentioned CE category in brief?
    Thanks.

Cost element that is used to allocate costs for internal activities.
    Most often used categories are
    21 Internal settlement
(When ever an order is settled e.g internal order settling to cost center through this type of cost elements)
    31 Order/project results analysis
(WIP in production orders are calculated and posted using this category)
    41 Overheads
(Used in costing sheet to do an overhead allocation)
    42 Assessment
(whenever cost is allocated between cost centers through allocation method - Assessment)
    43 Internal activity allocation
(found in production orders when a routing activity is confimed the charge goes to the production order through this cost element)

By standard configuration itr is not possible.
You ought to have user exit in place.
For DC A & B, where you need a redetermination of pricing component, take help of an ABAPer for user exit USEREXIT_XKOMV_FUELLEN (module pool SAPLV61A, program RV61AFZB).
So now, for DC C, you need to change the copying control in VTFL - item, where your pricing type ought to be D-Copy pricing elements unchanged.
    Regards
    JP
ASSUMPTION: I assume that your all DC uses the same Sales Doc type & Billing Doc type

  • How to populate the sales order as a cost object in cost element posting

When posting sales to a cost element the error comes up stating Account ******** requires an assignment to a CO object.
This comes from the sales (repair) order and I would like to pass the sales order and line as a cost object.
Could someone please tell me where I would make the configuration to pass that into the accounting document?
    Thank you,
    Sergiy

    Snavaneetha,
unfortunatelly I don't have access to any CO consultants that could help me on this one. We are a small company so I am an unofficial CO consultant for time being
Anyway, maybe I should post this one on the CO forum as well.
I looked at the material master and I don't see the field for the GL account or cost element anywhere like you said. I do see the account assignment group and that's where my account determination procedure determines the right one to use, and it is trying to post to the account I need it to post but I get the above error, for some reason the sales order that I am billing for does not get passed at a cost object to this cost element account during billing.

  • How to Prohibit Sales Price Lower Than Material Standard Cost

    Hi Moderators:
I got a problem from our sales departement, because they found a manual mistake, that was, somebody who maintained a incorrect sales price in the condition record which was lower than the standard price in the material master data! This must be a error!
My question is, how to customize in SAP system and prohibit to maintain the sales price (LT standard price) in the condition record? Maybe system could issue a "Warning" or "Error" message to the user before saving the changes!
I'm highly appreciated that you can help me to solve the problem. Thanks in advance.
Have a good day and best regards
    Z.T

    Hi Zhang
If I have understood correctly, you want that, when the "Selling Price" is less then the "Cost" , system should give you warning or should prohibit from futher processing.
That means, system should not allow negative Profit.
If this is the requirement, then you can not set it in the Condition record.
You need to make the settings in the Pricing Procedure.
Go to your Pricing Procedure and for the condition type VPRS(Cost) make the below mentioned settings.
    Sub Total -  B,
    Requirement --- 4'
AltCTy  - 5  and save the settings.
Now when you create an order with Negative Profit ( Selling Price is less then Cost),system will give you warning and if  you will try to save then system will regard this document as Incomplete.

    Can you help me?

    Hi,
Cost element category '12" is used for sales deduction. If u want this to flow to COPA U have to Maintain the value field of COPA with the FI G/L for that paricular account in Valuation Strategy Configuration.
