Diplay issues

I have just upgraded to 4.1. Since the upgrade everything is LARGE. it looks as if I was reading an article on the web and made the text large, however everything is enlarged. Example-the battery icon when you are charging-it doesn't fit all the way on the screen. I have to forcibly drag screen yo just to get to the unlock slide.All screens are this way. I have tried restoring to factory setting (3 times) and when is in factory settings it is was. When I restore my content it increases in size again. Can anyone help me?

It is the Zoom feature.

Diplay issues since upgrading to 10.6.7

I have a late 2010, 11.6 inch MacBook Air which I upgraded to Mac OS X 10.6.7 yesterday. Today I started noticing intermittent display problems including periodic flickering of the screen with horizontal lines or brief complete disruption of the screen.

Then when I restarted the computer the last time, on booting up the display showed these thin vertical stripes (instead of the usual grey background and Apple logo):
The problem has settled for now. Has anyone else experienced it. Is it likely a hardware issue or related to the upgrade ?

No one else experiencing this. THis has been happening off and on since I posted and today it is happening multiple times that I have had to reboot. Sometime the screen goes bright with those vertical lines, and when you reboot this is what happens:

Diplay Issue in Docking Station

Hi everybody,
Whenever I put my Z1c in the DK32 docking station the display enlightens and the lockscreen appears. this might be okay once, just after I put it there BUT the lockscreen appears now all 30s - 1min. and enlightens my hole room. That problem is new, I had no trouble with de DK32 for weeks. Any suggestions?

Wireless Issues? Post your router.

I'm finding that lots of people are posting issues with the DLink DI-614+ (I have issues with two of those) and the Airport Extreme.
Maybe isn't an issue with older routers? idk, but I had good speed on the UMN campus (I believe they use cisco access points) and since using consumer router I've got junk.
I'm testing an 802.11g Netgear tonight, I'll post results.

I have issues on:
Dlink 614+ 802.11b (2 of them actually)

DLINK DI-604 router with a DLINK DWL-2100AP wireless access point.
Access point running WPA encryption and set to AES, not broadcasting SSID.
Router set to DHCP for the LAN and connected to a DSL modem.
Access Point set to no DHCP obviously and gets IP's from the router.
Access Point using NO turbo or superG whatever modes, it is set to "Wireless G only" as only G NIC's on my network.
DSL speed is 2500 kbps down.
FACTS:
- There have never been any speed or connection issues with the D-Link router or access point among my other Windows machines - a desktop (ethernet) and two Sony Vaio laptops (wireless G).
- My original Mac Book Pro (bought last Friday) with a "W8610.." serial number had constant
trouble connecting to this network and ran VERY slow with frequent disconnects and unresponsiveness when browsing. Latency was terrible and would consistently take over thirty seconds to load a page.
It always "saw" the access point on boot up but would fail to connect despite network status showing full signal strength and "Connected".
Could not ping or use web. The access point DID show the MBP as connected with a good DHCP IP, but nothing on the MBP.
Required me to open diagnostics on the MBP and re-enter the SSID, security type and password every start up. Tried setting the access point to enable broadcast of SSID - made no difference.
Changed WPA to "auto" and TKIP - no joy.
- "W6810.." MBP got extremely hot, had no whine issue or diplay issue but was too hot to touch frequently during use despite being elevated on a Podium Pad. (Did the PSU reset thing - no change in heat.)
- TODAY, replaced the "W8610.." MBP today from the Apple store with a new MBP - new serial is "W8611.." and is a later revision of the MBP - this according to the Apple tech I spoke with this morning who also confirmed the logic board replacements in later "D" revision models.
- The new MBP has zero problems with wireless - it connected right away using the same settings on the DWL-2100AP and AirPort NIC as the previous MBP. It connects on reboot and detects, conencts to the AP without problem.
Speed is excellent and exactly where it should be.
- The new MBP is DRAMATICALLY COOLER than the original. The difference
is nothing less than amazing - the area above the function keys is barely warm even with the MBP running intensive apps.
- Note that on both MBP's I ran and installed all software updates including OS X.
- Apple Store tech and manager (arrogant brat) insisted there was no such problem with heat or logic board issues, no network issues and said they had heard no such thing from Apple despite my conversation with Apple tech earlier that day. Said I should buy an AirPort base station or give up on the networks, blamed DLINK hardware.
Took an hour of insisting they replace it to get anywhere - they ran hardware tests on the old MBP and found no errors - said heat was "normal" despite it being too hot to touch and MUCH hotter than the display laptops.

Diplay issue with a couple of weird twists....Display has suddenly become VERY pixilated. Tried re-booting with no luck. Graphics Card failing?? I attempted to take "Screen Shot" to include on this post.....The Screen shot looks perfect so no use including. That leads me to believe it has something to do with Display generation.
Ideas?
BTW, computer has been BULLET PROOF for four years and running perfect....worth fixing if possible.

New user V 7, tiff display is not proportionally scaled

I am a new PSE V 7.0 user. I have opened scanned tiff files that are 11 x 17 (B size). On the display they are distorted - compressed horizontally. I turned the rulers on and the vertical side looks normal, but the top (horizontal) is compressed. What am I doing wrong? Is this a diplay issue, or something embedded in the file?

MBP (late 2006) – diplay sleep issue

My MBP (late 2006) has a following problem:
Often (about 2 times of 3), when I wake the computer from sleep mode, the display lights up for a second and then turns off. Rest of the system runs normally; I can turn volume and keyboard lights up and down so on.
If I put the computer to sleep again (by shutting the cover) and let it sleep for a couple of minutes, I can try again to wake it up, but usually I just give it the hard boot. This is really annoying,

When this happened to my Late 2007 MBP, I could not find out what was happening until I looked at the system log. It showed that, upon waking, the MBP was trying to connect the wireless network at a hotel I visited several weeks before and miles away.
I opened System Preferences > Network > Airport and clicked the "Advanced" button. The first tab has a list of networks that was getting full. I cleaned out the list, leaving only our home network and that of a museum where I volunteer. Then I unchecked "Remember any network this computer has joined."
Very simple to check, and I've had no sleep issues since.

Not displaying the data in to the table..wht is the issue

I have problem for the displaying the RFC Model object date in to the table.
I have created the Table in the view, Then i have choosed the "create binding" option in the outLine window to map the perticular RFC model object to the Table to display. The data is not displaying in the table . But the RFC model object contains data. when i am trying to display with MessageMaganger.reporSuccess(). it is diplaying the data.
Can any one tell me what is the issue.

First, in your view layout in NWDS, look at the tableview, do you see fieldnames in the columns and rows. If so, then I believe that you have bound correctly.    Also, in your executeBAPI method, make sure that it looks something like this.

Hyperion Smart Cut Session Issue streaming multiple reports at a time using

This is a lengthly post with details, Please review with Patience:
We are trying to integrate Workspace based web Analysis reports within our intranet portal, thru portlets (made from individual workspace smartcut link), so that users can customize their page as needed, Once they login thru intranet, Cookie is set and passed to succeeding smart cut links via secured http headers. This part is fine, but mainly running into issue with streaming several multiple web-analysis reports at a time,+ we are using Iframe to display and stream multiple individual reports on to one page, but unfortunately all Iframes are sharing one session rather than creating individual session, mostly because of limitation of current web analysis system architecture and IE browser behavior with sessions .
Which Hyperion reporting tool does allow to stream multiple reports at a time? ideally we want to create Iframe of each workspace report so that users can customize and pick portlets as needed. To stream multiple reports at a time.
Problem Description: Hypeiron Web Analsysis, Smart cut reports incorrectly rendering images and intermixing dash boards on POV changes upon multiple reports being diplayed at one time thru Iframe's, issue seem to mostly relate to Hyperion using single session rather to multiple session when displaying several web reports at a time.
Steps Needed To Reproduce:
User logs into workspace.
user click on expolore and able to view the report without any issues.
When right on any of the report and select properties.
Select the SmartCut url and paste it in the Internet explorer.
The webanalysis report opens without any issues.
Similarly user copies the smartcut url for a different report and paste the link on a different tab or new window of same browser.
The report on the first tab gets over written of the report of the second tab of the browser.
The issue happens when two different reports and opened on a browser with multiple tabs. The reports get over written.
Oracle development answer:
In the described scenario opening new browser window does not spawn a separate independent browser session. A new browser window is supplied with URL pointing to the same domain, so all browser cookies including the "ORA_WA_SID" (WA session cookie) are shared between the windows. But multiple application instances cannot run in the same browser session simultaneously because of session sharing. This is not actually a defect, but rather a limitation of current system architecture and browser behavior. And there is no way to fix it programmatically on the product side.

Your current arrangement puts most of the session handling and persistence on the client. This forces you to accept whatever the client decides to persist and propogate between browser elements (in this case iframes).
My approach would be to:
Consider coding your portlets to manage the sessions. Manage using a somewhat stateless strategy so that each request to the server requires a login and connect, retrieve, and disconnect. Each Iframe should access a different portlet url (or provide a different query) based on its content.
This way, in theory, you can invalidate the sessions and related cookies and update the various report elements independently.
Is smartview out of the question here?

Issue in rendering CustomToolpart to select data source for custom webpart..

I have a custom webpart in which i have added a tool part.This toolpart should allow me to select any list in the sitecollection which would be displayed on the webpage on doing apply in the webpart properties.The dropdown list with all lists is coming fine.The
grid is diplaying as well.But in the toolpart,not in the webpart. I cant seem to segregate the two.There is also a textbox in the toolpart in which the entered text comes in the webpart.But the same approach is failing for the gridview.Please suggest
what to do.
Also,i am failing at making a separate category for the toolpart by specifying [category("List settings")]..Any suggestion as to what i'm doing wrong in that are welcome too.

According to your post, my understanding is that you have an issue about the custom web part.
Per my knowledge, we should customize the EditorPart instead of the
ToolPart to bind the lists to the dropdown list.

Issue in display of G/L acct. texts in chart of accounts for FS00

Hi All,
Iam facing below issues after upgrade.
In T-Code FS00:
1. in tab Information(C/A) G/L Acct. texts in chart of accounts window is not displyed
2. In tab Information(Cocd) in window G/L acct.texts in company code last field 'Additional Info' is not displayed.
In my analysis I found that after upgrade in T-codes OBT6 & OBT7 if we tick tall he check boxes then only those fields are displayed. But in non-upgraded systems all fields are displayed irrespective of marking the check boxes.
So, could any one please clarify,after upgrade do we need to mark all the check boxes which are need to be diplayed on the screen or is there any specific confiugration after upgrade.

Lenovo B570 Fingerprint scanner not responding/is gone and other issues

Hi,
I've been having some issues lately with my laptop. It comes with a fingerprint scanner, but as of yesterday is stopped working. Normally I can login by swiping my finger, but now it doesn't even show up. It usually has 3 users slots on the login screen. Mine, my sisters, and another slot for the fingerprint scanner. Now that third one doesn't even show up. My fingerprint scanner isn't reading anything at all, nor is it even showing up in many places. I have no idea what could have caused this. Any help?
I'm running Windows 7 64bit on my Lenovo B570.
I'm not sure if it's related, but when I went to check my drivers to see if it was a driver issue, I found that a bunch of hardware was not working due to driver issues. They wouldn't let me update, giving me a Code 31 error, saying that the file could not be found. The ones that aren't working are listed below.

Please Load Bios defaults , save and exit
Load windows , Login to your sisters account and check if it is diplaying the same unknow devices or driver missing devices
Log Off login to your account and uninstall all the drivers listed under others or with yellow astrick mark
Go to control panel , Programs & features Uninstall Bio Access utility
Download latest drivers, Bios, Bio Access from support site and update .

Issue with running reports on the portal

Hello Guyz
1. I have a question regarding running reports on the portal.
2. I have standard web templates that have been installed in BI.
3. But in the portal, we are not able to run these reports.
4. Do we need to create custom I-Views or can we install them from business content?
5. Can someone explain the process to me AND also any other issues that we might have?

Standard web templates doesnot get installed with attached queries.Create custom web templates in WAD and attach ur queries based on the type of display u like either tabular or graphical.In order to diplay in portal you have to attach webtemplates to iViews and then group iViews to worksets and attach to portal roles.Then add those roles to portal users.From BI Prospective u just create web-templates and give technical names to EP consultants if you have any then they can takecare of rest.If you want to call standard web template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN from portal you need to have Business Explorer role added to ur user in EP.Using that template u can only open one query at a time and execute.Hope its clear

I am using a dynamic tab where I disclosed the the showdetailitem using an EL based. This tabs corresponds to a contact persons within a company.
The User can select different company from a table and the tabs will display the different contact persons. If a company selected from the table the tab will diplay the persons in the tabs, you can select different person by clicking the tab to display the person's info. The issue is when you return to company that you previously selected, the UI remembers the person you have disclosed previously, But my logic was to reset the tab to disclose the first person in the list which is not happening.
So, I displayed the EL code for the disclosed in the Tab text and it is returning the correct result. I need help in how to reset the tab disclosed.
Note: When I refresh the browser the right tab is disclosed.

Issue with Taiwanese characters display in SQL*Plus/Toad

Hi all,
I have an issue about displaying the Taiwanese characters either in SQl*Plus or Toad tool. Able to view all territory characters properly except it. Whenever i tried to view these characters from Toad, diplay like square box('⃞'), where as it displays as question mark ('?') from SQL*Plus.
I am not sure what are the parameters i want to alter. Please have a look at the below existed database parameters in the DB and help me to get rid of the issue.

vissuHow was this data loaded into the database ? If SQL Developer is showing incorrect data, then the data was not loaded correctly into the database and has been corrupted - in such a case, NLS_LANG will not help
