Diplaying of ordsys.ordimage field in a Report based on Query

Hi,
I have a table with a ordsys.ordimage field, where I am uploading images. I created a custom report based on that table but I just cant seem to find a way to show images in it. Could anyone please tell me how to do this.
I tried using this
"portal30.wwv_user_utilities.get_intermedia('CP_IMAGE01','CP_IMAGE01','IMAGE',rowid) the_picture " but this does not help at all

Using the CASE Statement inside your SELECT you can achieve this.
SELECT T1.ItemCode AS 'Item No.', T1.ItemName AS 'Item Description',
CASE WHEN T1.QryGroup1 = 'N' THEN T0.Price ELSE 0 END 'List Price'

Selecting from ORDSYS.ORDImage field

I have a table which contains a photo field of type ORDSYS.ORDImage. I can select images from that table to a report from query wizard, because there in display option you can check "Embed interMedia rich content in the report" -option. That option does not exist in reports from SQL query. So how can I select these images to a normal SQL report?? Is it even possible?

I also tried to show ORDIMAGE in SQL query based report but with no success.

Hiding selective fields in a report based on other field in the same report

Hello!
I am trying to create a report of the inventory items. 2 of the fields in the report would be the sale price of the item, and one of the properties (prop1) from the Item Master Property tab.
Depending on whether Prop1 is Y/N, the price of the item should be displayed.
If Prop1 = N, Price is displayed
If Prop1 = Y, Price gets hidden
Using queries, is it possible to create this kind of reports?
I am using SAP 2005b PL 42.

Print layout designer for develop report based on query

Dear Experts/Gurus,
I am amazing about the manage previous reconciliation report. When I opened it using print layout designer, it looks like the report is not built using query, but I am not sure yet. This is very confusing. I created query similar with manage previous reconciliation (MPR), but when I link the query to print layout and try to make similar format/appearance with MPR report (reconciliation management (system)), it is not success.
Isn't the MPR report built not based on query ? I appreciate your answer. TIA

I am not sure I understand what's the problem:
Is it the layout that is different or the data?
Regarding the data you can use SQL Profiler (maybe you did?) to find out what queries are fired, but please note that there are some stored procedures in the DB that are used for some specific functions - not sure whether the "MPR" uses any of these.
Then you must include some non-default filter in SQL Profiler...
...but you can also use the logging functionality in B1 for that purpose:
Just activate the logging (see the "log" folder in the B1 subdirectory) in the corresponding config file: choose the option to have the SQLs logged in conjunction with the logging being triggered in all cases (not just error).
Thus you will get all the SQLs - just plain - from the B1 application, but note that it will obviously slow it down!

Create Report based on Query in SCCM 2012

I have a lot of useful queries, however I would like to create a few reports based on these queries. What is the simple way to do this? I started to create a New Report, but kind of lost after that. Is there a way I can just copy my statement from the
query to a blank report?

Execute the WQL query from the queries node in the console and watch smsprov.log on the site server. It should contain the "translated" SQL statement.

Report based on query w/ input variable

Hi,
How can i do a sql report on APEX with an input variable (:P1).
In my tests i've created a sql report then added one text box to the page with name (P1).
When i execute the report it gives me the text box, then i insert the value, press enter and it gives me the result No data found. If i activate the debug i can see, :P1=P1="xpto", so the text box is working fine, but why the report is not generated/displayed?

ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE vs BLOB

Dear all,
I've designed a table with an ordsys.ordimage field for images. BIG MISTAKE, because there is no possibility to upload images from a form. I'd like to change it into a BLOB field but an error arises:
"You cannot modify the column definition for types CLOB, NCLOB, BFILE, BLOBand Intermedia Object types(ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE, ORDSYS.ORDAUDIO, ORDSYS.ORDVIDEO). (WWV-17079)"
Could I change it anyhow in order not to build a new table? I have a lot of forms referring to that table and I should change these forms too....(and we know it is pretty difficult)...
I would appreciate any help.

How to build a report on a table containing ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE type?

I build a table with a column of type ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE then I
build a form using wizard and populate the table by uploading
intermedia type and I can make query on that form and see the
image. But when I build a report using wizard, the report result
shows image data as it is in text format.
Am I doing something wrong or there is another way to make
report on ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE column type.

This could be because, you might have the display type as text
instead of html for this column.
Could you pls verify this by selecting as html and try running
the report. If it still not working then pls post your Portal
Version so that we can verify it out here. Presently, it is
working fine for me.

Is posible to make a SELECT that return a BLOB field from a ORDIMAGE field..??
Example: I have the table XXX :

Forms 6i and ordsys.ordimage

i tried to build a form from a table containing an ordsys.ordimage. at first, it looked like it was happening, the forms builder knew all about the little parts of ordsys.ordimage, but when I ran the form, it acted like there were no records (which there are). i tried to build a form displaying only the "normal" fields but it didn't work either. any suggestions?

nevermind -
it works great! i just forgot to commit the whole mess in the sqlplus/plsql session. once i did, everything displayed on the form perfectly. it's really neat.

How to add new fields to standard reports

hi friends,
im into ABAP and working across all modules..the basic thing is users and functional people are not satisfied with the standard reports..they need some logic change or to add some more fieldsinb the standard reports.For logic change we have to copy the standard to zprogram and can do or create a new program itself..but in many cases they ask for extra fields.how to achive it ..
for example my requirement now is adding vendor name field to the report FAGGL03 ....i found a badi and have make changes to it ...now the vendor name will be coming in sgtxt over writing the text ...but they need text also...now what shall i do???
append structure vendor name field in faglposx table ....???how to find out the final internal table from where the output is coming ????
?when we check the standard rewport codes...there are lot of include statements perform statements etc ...how to find out the final structure or internal table which has the output values..???

it would be better if u giv full name of the report
if ur displaying the data in alv then search for the
word REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY from which u can get the final table name
then check the data that is comming into
try using implicit enhancement or any other exit in the declaration and declare a new structure with the field and append it to the field catalog
if ur displaying the data using write statement
then create a zprogram and add a write statement
fi ur unable to find here the final table then after displayign the report start the debugging and double click on any row to find out more easily

If i understand your question well, you could try this:
In the querygroup (datamodel) of your first query you create a formula column : CF_payment_or_overriding_date
In the PL/SQL Formula of your formula column you add code like this:

User Comment field available for reporting?
When doing custom reporting against requests with reportable dictionaries we have a user request to also include the user comments. How do I reference / point to the comments field for a request?

If you are referring to the comments which are added in the Comments and History section of a requisition, this information is not migrated to the datamart and is not reportable.
If, on the other hand, you are referring to a comments field that you have included in a dictionary on the service form, that information will be available in the datamart so long as that dictionary has been made reportable.

Length of a field in calendar report...

Hi,
I have a calendar report based on 2 columns as necessary, a date column and a varchar2 column.
All the records for a particular date are grouped and shown under the date in the calendar report as required.
Off late, we have faced an issue as below
Error Error during rendering of region "Scheduled Maintenance".
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
This occurs when there are a large number of records for a single date. I.e, the field on the calendar report for a date is not able to display all the records due to length constraints.
Could somebody pls tell me what is the length of a date field displaying data in the calendar report and also in other reports.
Is there a way, I could change the length of this date field being displayed.

I suggest you to create some kind of filters so you only display some data at a time. That will definitely help end-users.
