Can't see tray 3 in the settings on Laserjet Pro 400

I just bought an Hp Laserjet Pro 400 M401dne with the extra tray (CF284A).
I can see the tray in the going at 192.168.1.113 but i can't see it in the windows printer settings...i see only tray 1 (manual feeding), tray 1, tray 2. No tray 3.
Can you suggest something please?

I'd recommend talking to someone at HP support. I have a copy of the instructions to install the 500 sheet tray but it is only picture format. There is no wording to tell you what happens next. I assume that the accessory add-on try has some pin or connector that lets the printer and system know that you added an additional tray. Perhaps the detecting mechanism could be not working.

Acrobat 8 Standard And Word 2007 Rotated Pictures

When I make a PDF file from Word, either printing with distiller or saving through the Save option, I get low quality pictures.
The pictures that havn't been rotated at all show up perfectly, however, pictures that I rotated 5 degrees or so for effect come out terrible - the quality is like a low low quality jpg and the edges are all jagged and uneven.
I used the standard settings, then I chose 400 dpi for the picture quality and highest jpg quality, and no resampling - and the pictures were still terrible.
This appears to be a bug in something in the adobe creation software.
Can anyone help me?

It doesn't matter what are the names of these forums. Major companies provide these *official* forums to harvest troubleshooting results of their products for free. You never be able to test your product on this number of various environment this much cheap.
Unlike their support services these "USER" forums provides them with those product issues they are looking for without ANY obligation to solve them or even accept their existence. And best of all they collect all these information at no cost.
However, in honest and considerate companies, development team members share their opinions with forum users. They even admit they are aware of issues but have no solution for them at this time. If team members do not have enough time for providing feedback, they somehow use *well-trained* individuals to discuss the issues.
Those companies do not "Read and Hide". They "read and discuss".

RAM: Has anyone else had good luck with Corsair?

First of all, thanks Bas and Scottg26 for pointing out the correct version of Memtest86+.
I know that Corsair has a crappy rep around this forum when it comes to the Athlon 64. However, I've had nothing but good luck so far (knock on wood). I've been up and running for almost a month now with no BSODs and the computer has booted every time so far. I'm using Corsair TwinX 1024 LL in slots 1 and 2 with the speed settings on Auto in the BIOS with a voltage of 2.6. I've run Prime95 for up to 10 hours or so with no errors and I just ran one pass of Memtest86+ v1.00 with no errors. It took 18:50 and showed the following settings:
Memory: 1024M 1447MB/S
Settings: RAM: 200Mhz(DDR 400) / CAS:2-3-2-6 / Single Channel (64 Bits)
However, I will point out that the only real world test it's really passed so far is playing Call of Duty.

I'm getting a 28Mhz fsb overclock out of these dimms that I have and They are used I admit, But like the seller said they are great overclockers!

During system refresh, are all types of data - master data, transaction data as well as <b>customising data</b> get refreshed from prouduction environment?
Could you please suggest what is best way to get back project specific new customising data on a refreshed environment? Is there some sap recommended best practice on this.

Quicktime error # -2095..AHHHH

Ever since i attempted to upgrade my itunes that keeps popping up. The upgrade went well, but when i tried to open itunes or even quicktime, it wouldnt open. I've uninstalled and reinstalled over and over. Tried to upgrade Windows xp and looked at my firewall settings. I have 400 songs on there ......how can i get this fixed????

the first thing we'll try is a careful standalone QT 7.0.4 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.0.4 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.

if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.)

Problems capturing VHS video - help please (Elements 11)

I've tried without success trying to capture a VHS tape into Elements 11 for two hours now and really need some guidance please.
The hardware is a Win 7 64 bit desptop and my VCR player is connected to the PC via a Canopus ADVC55 firewire connection, through an S-video and L/R audio inputs. The VHS tape is a Japanese one whihc plays fine through the VCR when it is connected directly to my TV.
The capture process I'm trying to use is "DV Camcorder" but I keep getting an error message in the capture window stating that "Camera settings do not agree with project settings" and that the capture process may not work properly.
To solve this I've tried almost all the NTSC settings in the New Project dialogue box. Sometimes the Canopus isn't recognised, sometimes it is but I get the above error message but nothing gets captured.
I would have thought the correct project setting would be NTSC/DV/Standard 48kHz but i just get the error message. When I ticked the "force these settings for the project" box I got an immediate blue screen of death!
I'm obviously doing something - or several things - that aren't right. I'd be very grateful if somebody could put me straight. All over the internet are articles saying how easy this VHS to DVD transfer is!!

Thank you very much gentlemen for your help and advice. I've had a whale of a time this afternoon trying to make some sense of the problem.
I've downloaded WinDV and updated the Firewire drivers. I've checked Device Manager and there is nothing there about dropped frames or timcodes. I've also tried every combination of the Canopus dipswitches making sure that I reboot bewteen setting changes. I've tried 2 different VHS players and also swapped out the cables. I've also found an old Miglia capture device and tried that as well in case the problem lies with the Canopus.
The conclusions so far:-
1. Using WinDV with the Canopus set to NTSC I get a picture straight away no problem and audio works as well. BUT the pictures are in black & white not colour.
2. The Canopus doesn't pass the video through to WinDV with the dipswitches set to PAL - the status light stays red.
3. So going back to elements 11 I've tried both dipswitch settings. With PAL the Canopus doesn't pass the signal through as for WinDV.
4. With Elements 11 with the dipswitch set to NTSC and the New Project settings at PAL/HD/Standard 48kHz I get the error message about "Camera settings and Project settings being different" and my PC hangs completely.
5. With Elements 11 with the dipswitches set to NTSC and the New Project settings at NTSC/HD/Standard 48kHz I get the message as above but if I close it then the "record" button is inactive and no video is recorded.
6. And those results are the same for both VHS players.
7. With The Miglia device I get no picture or sound with either WinDV or Elements 11 no matter what type of VHS tape I try to record.
And that's as far as I've got.
Are there any other Project settings I should try? Can anybody help with the Black and White issue with WinDV?
I just want to get the VHS recorded via any piece of software now!

The exact same thing is happening to me!!
I have upgraded the BIOS today hoping for the best but I was dissapointed to experience the same thing.
It appears that when the CPU is really pushed to the limit, the computer just freezes. When I play any mame32 emulator the CPU usage reaches 100%. And then the computer crashes.. I was forced to underclock the CPU from 2800+ to 2200+. But now its happening again! When I tried to set the CPU back to 2800+ and surf the internet the pc crushed in the first flash web site. (CPU reached about 40% to play the flash video...).
I haven't found a solution yet and I am so desperate.. I've tried the same things as you did (upgrade BIOS, memtest, disconnect and reconnect everything, etc etc) which were proposed solutions in other threads.. but nothing.. and I am still running underclocked!(2200+). I have tried a number of different BIOS settings (memory run at 400, 333, 266, 200 also tried with different CAS 2,2.5,3) (1x512 corsair pc3200 cas 2) but the system would freeze sooner or later no matter the changes. My temperature is a little bit high but always when I am testing my CPU I increase the speed of the fan to maximum (5400) so it is not possible to be a temperature problem (have set the warning beep to 66 oC and it never beeps..) .
If you find a solution PLEASE post it here ASAP!!

P45 Neo Problem

Hello folks, got a bit of a head scratcher here.
I built up my machine on Friday and had it running happily at 1.6 GHz with the mobo jumpers set in their default 266mhz positions. On Saturday I removed them to give me the 400mhz FSB, with this the machine was running happily @ 2.8GHz.
My next task was to flash the BIOS from 1.1 to 1.7 as I like to have everything up to date.
I carried out the bios flash and the computer restarted...
No POST...
After some head scratching I replaced the FSB jumpers back to their original 233mhx position, it then booted in to windows but I was back to 1.6GHz.
I tried flashing the BIOS back to 1.1 but still no POST with the OC jumpers removed.
Flashed back to 1.7, no POST with OC jumpers removed.
So after flashing the BIOS to 1.7 I have to keep the jumpers in the 233mhz position which limits the cpu to 1.6GHz. Using bios I manually configure the fsb to 400mhz with a multiplier of 7 to reach the chips specified 2.8GHz.
I boot in to windows and fire up CPUz which tells me the chip is running at 2.8GHz but the FSB is reporting a speed of 1600mhz, along with this windows has become unstable, my AV software (Kaspersky IS 2009) is unable to load, Opera web browser crashes while rendering pages and other programs also crash.
I bite the bullet and reformat but still find the same problems.
And reformat again, same results again.
I'm now on my 3rd format and posting here to see if anyone can shed any light on this.
This all occured after flashing the BIOS, which went as well as any other BIOS flash I've ever done.
I've got a tech question open with MSI (no reply yet ) if they can't help and I find no joy here then the board will be RMA'd ASAP

Problem with IDE DVD drive

Hey guys. I just built a desktop and I've been having some problems recognizing my hardware. I've got a SATA hard drive and it works fine, but my IDE dvd burner isn't recognized. It doesn't show up under /dev/ and lspci -v returns

I'm running an Intel Core 2 Duo e6850 on an MSI p35 platinum motherboard with 64 bit Arch installed. The drive gave me some problems when I installed arch; I could boot the CD, but once I tried to install any packages it told me that no CD drive was found, so I had to install from FTP. I'd really like to have 64bit Arch on this computer, so I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks.

I have the LiteOn DVD burner, and encounter the same problem as you. Tried everything suggested by others, nothing worked. Finally got it to install when I changed the memory settings from 667 to 400.

I have regenerated the key multiple times but of no use.

Sorry for the late reply. Sometimes there are transient errors in the portal that affect whether or not the settings can be saved. Also, you should make sure that you have an associated notification hub (which will show up in your push settings). If there
is no associated hub, you will always get errors when trying to configure.

Settings for CPU speed dial on PowerLogix G4 ZIF?

I just installed a Powerlogix 550 Mhz G4 ZIF CPU into my B&W
There is a dial on it to set the speed that goes from 0 to F, when I got it it was set at 6 and it booted up at 550 Mhz, when i set it at 7 it did not boot, and when i set it at 5 it booted at 650. If some one has a chart or guidelines for what each setting's speed should be I would appreciate the info. I expected a linear response of plus or minus 50 Mhz per click, but the 100 Mhz jump from 6 to 5 makes me think otherwise. I like to muck about but don't want to accidentally set it at some crazy-high speed and smoke my CPU. I already have a custom heatsink and fan on it. Any info or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Ive got a copper bottom, hand lapped pentium heatsink with a fan on it. Got the G4 CPU in it running cool now at 650Mhz. Made my own chart.

Audio settings while recording fireworks. Vixia 400

I have a Vixia 400. When I record fireworks it filters out all background noise and all you hear are the bangs, crackles and pows of the fireworks. Once the fireworks have stopped the background noise (music and the crowd) comes back. Is there a special setting or do I need an external mic to get the music recorded also?

Initially the noise of the fireworks overwhealms everything else, which is why it's so prominent. There is no special setting that would change this aspect of recording.
