DIR attached in Routing

Hi Gurus,
Can anyone tell me a way to attach a DIR to Routing?
Thanks,
Paddy

Hi Paddy,
For Routings you need to attach directly the DIR, as routing header/routing operation will be assigned to a Material master, M Master will have a link of DIR,
So always try to build a strong link b/w Material Master & DMS (with Material types & Document Types, Their Number Ranges, and Validations, Make it a Mandotary of attaching a DIR to M.Master so that your BOM, Routings and other process will have DIR)
OR
You need to add "Task List" object in the Object link through workaround method & then you can assign a Task LIst as an Object to that particular Document Type.

  • Trouble getting wireless to work with new D-Link DIR-655 wireless router

I have the Mac Pro with the Leopard operating system. I just recently bought a DLink DIR-655 wireless router to use with my internet. All my PC's can get online just fine, but my Mac is painfully slow and sometimes disconnects altogether. Is there some settings I need to figure out in order to make it work correctly?
    Please help

I for one am having constant problems since I returned from a July honeymoon. All was good with a “Draft-N” D-Link router, but since returning I’ve had many, many connection failures WIRED. I have no Airport card in my Mac Pro 8 core. Same setup as when I left and all was well: Cable Modem>D-Link (NOW the sam DIR-655. Thanks, CostCo). CAT 5 to: Mac Pro, HP 2605DN printer, and connected to my hard-wired system to two rooms in my house.
Here’s a big clue for me. When I reboot into a bootable backup drive I haven’t updated since May 30, I seem to have no problems. Also, on the normal boot drive, my MobilMe (ugh) mail account was giving me fits. I deleted and tried to have it automatically fill in the settings as it used to, but now I need to supply all other sorts of info and can’t restore it. One last thing, if it helps. On my normal, badly-working boot drive, the iDisk says “MobilMe” On the older drive I’m on now it says dontruett.
I’d welcome advice. I’m taking a guess that some update I did since May 30 cause this and am ready to clone the working drive back to the main boot drive, losing a bunch of things in the process.
Any thoughts would be most welcome.

  • Have a D-Link DIR-655 Wireless Router and Having WEP or WPA issues? READ TH

I just contacted D-Link with the following Letter and wanted to post this here for anyone that may need it:
"I have to say that I do truly enjoy this product since I got it to work, but I have some things to clear up.
Are your Level 1 techs truly trained in networking equipment? I called 3 times for help with this issue and no one was able to help me nor completely understand my problem... I apologize for the tone, but it is frustrating when a tech repeats a procedure 4 times (I can understand repeating something 2 times if needed) - when I tell him it doesn't work I feel we should move onto another trouble shooting step. So what I would like to do is tell you what I did to fix the issue in case another person runs into this and they call you for support.
I have a an iMac (but this problem will be reproduced on any Mac with an Airport Extreme card) and I can only get on the internet wireleslly because of the location of my computer and the cable modem/router.
The DIR-655 that I picked up from best buy was Hardware Revision A2 and the Firmware was 1.05 (the latest at this current time)...
If I setup this router with the default settings. The wireless connectivity worked fine - although if I were to apply any type of security to the wireless settings (WEP, WPA 1 or 2 Personal) I would not be able to join the network. The Mac OS would keep telling me that there was an error joining the "xxxxxx" network (where xxxxxx was the SSID of my router). Anyways after tinkering for almost 3 hours and running back and forth resetting the router and testing with multiple Macs I was stumped and decided to get a copy of the 1.04 version of the firmware and downgrade the router back down to see if it was an issue with the latest firmware. Guess what - works perfect...
I would love to see a version 1.06 come out soon that addresses this issue and has the bug fixes from 1.05. But I can guarantee you there is something in the 1.05 firmware that will stop Macs from wirelessly connecting to the router when any type of wireless security is in place.
Please advise your techs of this issues and hopefully come up with a fix for this issue.
    Thank you for your time."
I hate when tech support eats half your day with something that could have been fixed in minutes if people are properly trained.

  • Not able to write file on my external hard drive attached to router

I have Mac Book Pro with most updated OS.  I have Belkin Router Monitor with most updated firmware.  I have external hard drive with MS DOT (FAT) format.
I would like to use my router for home network so I have attached external hard drive to my belkin router to share data with my Macbook and my TV.  I noticed that I could detect my external drive in my mac book and my  TV (I could open the files from my external hard drive and view it in my mac book and TV).  However, when I try to copy data from my mc book to my external drive (which is connect with the router) it shows me the message ‘Items can’t be copied to XX (my hard drive name) because you don’t have permission to read them’.  I have also seen the permission request by attaching external hard drive with my Mac.  It shows me that I have read and write permission.
I am looking forward for some solution so I can copy data from mac book to my external hard drive when it is attached with my router.
    Please help me.

You probably have to format the drive for Mac. If you don't have write permissions sounds like its formatted in the Windows NTSC category.

  • DIR creation from routing

    Hello All,
I have a requirement to generate a document in SAP DMS (CV01N) for the assembly instruction using the process steps from routing(CA01).This would include inserting an assembly picture (JPEG) into original file which would reside in DMS and would link back to routing using the object link. The request for this process was to avoid the manual creation of the worksheet from routing. The series of steps in routing would be pulled into a excel document inside a DIR at click of a button from the routing screen. Updating the routing from the DIR screen should be blocked wit an error message.
Please let me know if you guys have come across such requirements and what could be the possible solutions.
    Thanks in advance,
    P-

    Hi Paddy,
For this requirement a z-develipment needs to be done with help of respective screen exits. You need to consult with Abap'r. In standard environment it's not feasible.
    Hope this will help.

    Why?
The diagram gives the physical setup doesnt explain how you've managed to actually get this to work. Anyway the issue is possibley due to Multicast Broadcasts which the NAS will rely on.

  • Back up to Hard Disk attached to router - is this possible???

    Hi all.
After a new HDD for my Macbook I now need a new larger external HDD for my Macbook.
My question is... Is it possible to connect an external hard disk to my wireless router (NetGear DG834GT) so that I can perform wireless automatic back ups (i.e. like time capsule)???
If it is possible, what do I need to do it??? (I haven't bought the HDD yet).
I've been really happy with TM so far, it has saved me a number of times!
    Thanks in advance.

    Not "as is".
The Time Capsule includes a File Server (plus an internal HDD) and a Print Server, which is why you can simply plug USB HDDs and Printers into it and have it just work.
A quick glance at the [specs for a DG834|http://www.netgear.com/products/home/wired-routers-and-modems/wired-route rs/dg834.aspx] on-line suggests it has no such technology. Which means that in order to do what you want, you will need a device between the router and the hard drive to act as a disk controller. Similarly, if you want to connect a printer, you'll need another device to act as a print server/spooler.
When all is said and done, it wouldn't surprise me to find that you'll have to spend almost as much as the cost of a Time Capsule, for a system that will probably be more fragile...
Why not just go straight to buying a Time Capsule, instead? The 1TB model is quite reasonably priced (assuming it has sufficient capacity for your needs).

  • Plug-ins are affecting an audio track that is not attached or routed to it!

So I have this organ track and a second guitar track that has 5 plug-ins on it, do note that this is audio and not midi. The organ plays, but is playing through what it seems the second guitar track's plug-ins. I dunno if this screenshot helps, but maybe I am doing something wrong. I want the organ to be clean, but when it gets to the organ part in the intro, it just starts playing through the second guitar's plug-ins. Thanks

    Trevor,
A screen shot that would help, would be one of each of those tracks parameter boxes.
It sounds like one side of the organ track perhaps might be sharing a track with the guitar. This can happen when Universal Track Mode is dis-abled. Is it?
Anyhow, if we could see the parameter boxes (on the left of the arrange page) for each track, that might help.

  • Attachment modifications not saving when routing document

The issue is that in some cases attachment file modification are not saved and forwarded to the next recipient when using the routing slip feature.
    Here is the scenario:
A user sends an excel document as an attachment and routes to several users via the groupwise routing slip feature.
The normal and successful work flow is this:
Next user in the route recieve the email.
Opens the document (in excel) and makes some changes in the document.
They select save (not save as).
Then then click the "completed" check box to continue the routing.
The next user will receive the email and attachment and the changes will be included.
The issue is that in many cases (about 50% of the time) the attachement edits will not stick and are not included for the subsequent recipients.
I have done some experimentation and it appears to be related to how the groupwise client handles temporary files.
It looks like there are two different folders used - my documents\groupwise and user\local settings\temp\xpgrwise.
When it works it appears that "edits" are saved in the temporary files folder and then "re-attached" to the routed email.
And the temp files are deleted when the email is closed.
In the failed scenario the attachment file does not get deleted from the temporary folder (and edits are not forwarded).
It appears to me that there may be another "unknown" temp file folder someplace that is being referenced and causing the issue.
We are using groupwise 8 client by the way and I think the issue started after the version 8 upgrade.
Has anyone else experienced and/or resolved this.
Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Using a router or switch with Airport Extreme

I currently have an Airport Extreme 5th generation working great for my home network!  My ISP Modem (on ground floor "Level-B" of 3 story house including basement) attaches to the Airport Extreme via an ethernet cable into the WAN port.  Then each of the 3 LAN ports is in use:
#1 going to my "main Mac" - MBP-13" just a few feet from the Airport Extreme in my lower level basement office (Level-A)
    #2 going upstairs to a non-WiFi eMac (Feb 2005) - that's on Level-C
#3 going to my Canon MP640 printer/scanner so that I can use it for scanning (it is attached via USB to the Airport Extreme but that does not permit scanning)  This is located next to my MBP on Level-A
OK but now I want to try to get my 1997 LaserWriter 12/640 PS (works great!) (and I have 2 expensive toner cartridges left!) set-up and I have some instructions on how to do this.  It will likely necessitate me having my Mac Pro G4-733 running OS 9.2.2 and the LW 12/640 both connected to my network via ethernet cables.  That's 5 connections and I only have 3 ports going out.
But I do own a D-Link DIR-635 router and also an 8 port Peabird 8 por 10/100 Switch.  Can I use either of these to do the setup?
OR - can I simply unplug the MP640 printer and the eMac for an hour or so that it will take to configure (if I can) the LW 12/640?
OK but then if I do configure it, I won't need the G4-733 Power PC any longer, but I will want the LW 12/640 as part of my network so will at least need a 4th ethernet port at that time.  Do I then need to attach the router (or switch) and then connect the LW12/640 (and something else as the router or switch will use up one of the 3 Airport Extreme ethernet LAN ports…)
Thanks for any comments on how to proceed here.

  • I have airport extreme 802.11AC as a base that connect to Cable modem. How can I connect D-link DIR-655 to AE to utilize as an extender or repeat?

    Hello-
I have wireless router Airport Extreme 802.11AC that connect direct to Cable modem...how can I setup the D-Link DIR-655 wireless router to AE and act as extender or repeater?. Thanks in advance.

Apple has done their best to install proprietary software in their wireless routers that is designed to only allow other Apple routers to repeat or extend the network wirelessly.
So, the chances are extremely small that a D-Link....or another other router for that matter.....could be configured to do what you ask.
There are no settings on an AirPort Extreme that would allow a D-Link device to extend the network, so all that you can do is experiment with different settings on the D-Link device to see if it might be possible for it to extend the network.
A post on a D-Link support forum might be a good idea to see if any D-Link specialists have some ideas on this topic.
    Good luck.

    Hi 1Snowbird,
Do the following on each computer. Do not reinstall until Network Magic is removed from each computer, first. Installing Network Magic again on each computer, won't change a thing, if reinstalled right away.
    Folder locations for Windows XP.
    Uninstall Network Magic. Reboot.
Use Explore and remove the following folder and its sub-folders:
    \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Pure Networks
    \Program Files\Pure Networks
Still using Explore manually clean out your \Temp Folders. Run Disk Cleanup.
Reboot. Make sure that you are connected to the Router.
    Reinstall Network Magic.
