Direct connection between 2 SPA9000

I'm considering on buying SPA9000. My question is: is it possible setup a call through 2 different SPA9000 located on different site directly, without using ITSP intermediary. Can a line on one SPA9000 be set to register to a line on another? Can I use 2 adapters in different sites to directly route calls between them without using ITSP? TIA

IP dialing is the only option that you have for this one. IP dial between the SPA9000.
But it still it as if you are calling to an ITSP.  You cannot register a line of a 9000 to another.
Another scenario to consider is setting up a VPN tunnel between two location.
setup a 9000 on one end, regsiter all the phones there and then take the phones needed to the other location. with a stable VPN connection you should be able to make call betwee local extension. Just dont expect full functionality on the remote ends.

  • Direct connection between 2 clients without any configuration!

I wan to make a system act like hamachi or logmein (websever & clients).
I have a webserver on the internet and two client from different networks connected to this webserver, now i want to make directly connection between these clients without any configuration on router. I think it is possible because all infomation about clients network could be got from http request which they send to server. But i don't know what exact fields in the header of http request that i need and how to set them to create connection between clients. I need some ideas about this issue.

I know, so if you want to use a remote control tool such as: VNC, remote desktop you must config on router or server. But even if you had a proxy(permit port 80) when you type www.sun.com you will get data from it, this data was sent from Sun to your proxy and in some way the data was return to your browser. So i think if we have enough information(it come from the webserver) we could init a connection between 2 client. An example of this is Hamachi.
At first 2 hamachi clients connect to a server of hamachi, when they have their id, a tunnel between 2 clients was established without any configuration on proxy(certainly that server did not deny port of hamachi). From now 2 clients can exchange data not through the server. The same in logmein, you can remote desktop any where with zero configuration, but the speed is guarantee because they contact to server for query information, but the data was transmited directly. Sorry if i make mistake. It doesn't work the way you think.
There is a proxy or you have to have one side listening with a ServerSocket and have ports opened as needed. You can't create a Socket connection on server A between clients B and C and then pass it off to clients B and C and magically they just talk to each other.
It does not work that way. It is impossible to do it that way.

  • Direct Connection between clients using sockets

Hi, I'm a new user and i have a problem with sockets:
The question is how can i directly connect two users that are already connected to a server in other machine???
    I mean
    user1 is connected to server
    user2 is connected to server
user1 tries to communicate with user1 but don't want to use the server, and the server only provides the client1's ip
I first thought to do this:
user2 asks to server for the info of a client1-server waiting for connections, and i think it could work fine, but only if the ports are not closed by firewall, because client-server will be running in a transparent mode for user and user may not know anything about servers, sockets, ports, etc. the user only will work with a gui or something else and that's all
Does anybody know what can i do to make this possible???
    PD
    Sorry for my bad English

It can be implemented like you said. Make one of the clients open a serversocket and pass the ip and port number through the server to the other client with information on where to connect.
If you're going to use direct connection between clients a lot then I would recommend that every client open a default serversocket at startup and register that information with the server and then every other client can ask the server for the ip and port to whatever client they wish to open a direct connection to.
Be aware that clients often are behind NATs and firewalls, so if need to deal with those issues you got to use hole punching (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/hole_punching) - pref on a known port like 80 - and to deal with the less frequently used application firewalls you can use http encapsulation in addition.

yo can do it via an external drive formatted FAT so both systems can read and write to it. or yo can use file sharing and connect the computers via smb or afp.
they need to be on the same local network. don't know how file sharing works in Ubuntu but on a Mac you need to go to system preferences->sharing and enable file sharing.

  • WS Adapter - Mandatory Parameters  - Direct Connection

    Hello Friends,
We try to create create one Pass Through interface between 2 SAP Systems (Proxy to Proxy) using Direct Connection option in ID.
We have PI 7.11 (EHP1). For the receiver system we have created one communication channel of adapter type WS and Adapter Version SAP BASIS 7.10.
In this channel, it shows 3 Mandatory Parameters: 1) Target Host 2) Service Name/Port 3) URL Access Path.
We have entered the Receiver SAP Host name for the 'Target Host' Parameter.
For the 2nd one, do we need to enter Java Port or HTTP Port Number of the receiver?
For the URL Access Path, what do we need  enter ?  (I read from SAP Help, needs to enter Client Number if it SAP Ssytem. But, If enter this, it did not ask user name and password).  Moreover for this Business System in ID, there is no Logon Tab.
    Could you please clarify friends?

it can be used for direct connections as we as connectivity to IS.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/45/37d74180554c2ce10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm
But I dont think you can use it for ABAP proxy, It is usually for WS communication
for ABAP proxy you can use the XI adapter - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/43/96cbccb9335b77e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm

  • Direct-connect inside network with dynamically assigned IP-addresses

I have 13+GiB of files to transfer between two computers (one arch and one Win7) and would rather not spend the day moving them ~1GiB at a time via flashdrives.
I have tried setting up an ad-hoc network on the win7 machine, but wifi-menu fails to connect to it.
I have tried setting up an ssh server on the arch machine and accessing it via PuTTY on the Win7 machine.
I have tried setting up an apache server on the arch machine and accessing it via firefox on the Win7 machine.
I do not have the permissions to statically assign ip addresses on the network, and need to somehow directly connect between these two computers.  Any suggestions?

Post the exact commands that you are using and the exact error messages that you receive.
For mounting windows shares I use variations of the following command:
    mount -t cifs //<windows ip address or host name>/<windows share name> /mnt/foo -o nosetuids,uid=<your local user id>,gid=<your local group id>,user=<windows user name>,workgroup=<windows workgroup>
Have you tried something similar? It should "just work".

  • Does PeerFinder support multiple Wi-Fi Direct connections or just one?

    Hi,
Based on the Proximity sample I was able to establish a wifi direct connection between two win8 machines.
    http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/Proximity-sample-1c85d4c0
However I have yet to get a WinStore app to connect to two or more machines.  Is this a limitation with PeerFinder?  Are connections capped at one?
    Thanks,
    Richie

    I found this limitation on
    Link MSDN:
You can connect to only one peer at a time if your app is in the peer or client role. If your app is in the host role, you can connect up to
    5 clients at a time.

  • CSM module: rserver to rserver (or VIP) connections between serverfarms

    Hello,
I am trying to audit an existing configuration of CSM module.
Unfortunately have not an experience in CSM module configaration.
The main goal is to understand if there are any direct connection between servers
in different serverfarms (i.e. server from one serfarm opens session to server in
second serverfarm to VIP or to real IP). Also I need to know if there exist any
    server initiated connection.
For serverfarms in CSM configuration there are two options configured
    1)
    nat server
    nat client <pool>
    2)
    nat server
    no nat client
As I understand, if there is no "static nat" lines in CSM configuration it means that
there can not be server initiated connections. Is this correct?
What is the best way to check if there are any direct connections between different serverfarms?
Is it enough to take an output of "show conn" command like
        prot vlan source                destination           state
    In  UDP  149  10.13.205.20:57944    10.36.22.20:23235     ESTAB
    Out UDP  449  10.36.22.24:23235     10.13.205.20:57944    ESTAB
and check if there is "In" connection from <source IP> in one serverfarm to <destination IP>
in second serverfarm? As for now I did not see such connections.
Will be presented direct server-server/VIP or server initiated connections in "sh conn" command
    output for CSM module?
Could you advise me how to check this in CSM configuration or show commands output?
    Thank you in advance.

If the vserver to vserver connection is made between devices in the same subnet and the client uses the vsever address (rather than a vip address) then this will not be seen via the CSM at all. If the client vserver targets the vip address, then it is probable that you will require source nat to make it work. If a vserver starts a connection to another vserver addess (not vip) in a different subnet and the connection flows via the CSM,  then the CSM will show this in its connection table. You can test this via "telnet " and check the connection table. Any working vserver to vip connections will be visible in the connection table. Matthew

  • Trying to Hot Sync Visor Pro with Windows 7 (64 bit OS) - getting error: "The connection between your handheld computer and the destktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again."

    Hi.
I read the posting regarding the options on Hotsyncing for Windows 7; however, I have some questions as I have a 64-bit system.
I have a Visor Pro that I'm trying to Sync up with my new laptop which is running Windows 7.
    Steps I have taken:
    * installed the Visor Palm Desktop 3.0.1 that came with the Visor (which the installation went well)
    * The issue arises when I push the "Sync" button on the cradle and the following error message appears "The connection between your handheld computer and the destktop could not be established.  Please check your setup and try again."
Since I have a 64-bit OS it appears that I have 2 options: 1) bluetooth or 2) Infrared.
I have to admit I don't know know how to do either of these (how can I tell if this Handspring Visor Pro has bluetooth (which I don't it does)?).
Then how about the Infrared option?  I see on the PDA it has a red area that one can "beam" info.  Is this the same as Infrared or my 2nd option?
I love my Visor and want to continue using it, but need to backup the valuable info!
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
    THANKS!!!!!
    Post relates to: Visor Pro

Hello lwalbring and welcome to the Palm forums.
Your Visor, as you suspect, does not have Bluetooth, so you must use the IR HotSync option.  Since you are using Windows 7 64-bit, I believe that you are going to have to upgrade to Palm Desktop 6.2.2 to make things work from an OS/Driver perspective.
Since you are using such an old device, you are also going to have to download and install the PalmHotSyncSetup Utility from Pimlico.  This update turns on support for old Palm OS PDAs in Palm Desktop 6.2.2.  Without the update, you won't be able to sync your Visor with Palm Desktop 6.2.2.  The software is free and the link is all the way at the bottom of the screen.
Lastly, if your PC doesn't have an IR port on it, you will need to purchase a USB to IR adapter.  Some laptops still have IR ports and most desktops don't.
Once you have all the pieces, you'll want to go back to the Windows 7 and Vista HotSync thread again, and follow the directions for setting up and configuring IR HotSyncs.

  • No Connection between WRT54G and Zhone 6212

A friend of mine has recently upgraded to DSL from dial-up. The company gave her a Zhone model #6212-I3-200 and she has a Linksys model #WRT54g v5 wireless hub. If she connects direct via wire from the modem to her computer, she has an internet connection. When she tries to get a connection between the wireless up and the computer, she has a wireless connection, but it says limited or no connectivity under the wireless up in the internet connections screen on her computer. She cannot go online thru the wireless hub. What does she need to do in order to get a internet connection thru the wireless hub? Thanks in advance Gregg

first off , connect the modem to the router's internet port and the computer to the router's port 1...open the router's web interface using http://192.168.1.1 .. the default password is admin ..
once on the web ui , click on the status tab and check the internet ip add .. if it is 192.168.1.x , change the router's ip add to 192.168.2.1 ..
if it is 0.0.0.0 , click on setup tab and click on "mac address clone" subtab , enable it and click clone...save the settings...do a power cycle
click on status tab and check the ip add....if still 0.0.0.0 , click on setup tab and select the internet connection type as PPPoE .. enter the username and password as provided by the isp ...
check the ip add again ... if you get a valid ip add , try going online...if still not getting any ip add...configure the modem in a bridge mode ...

  • Direct Connection ABAP Proxy and Java Proxy possible ????

    Hi Folks ,
As i read as direct connection possible between 2 SAP systems only ..
and also i read as WS Direct Connection u2013 (Java) ..
What it means ?? is it ABAP Proxy to Java Proxy using Direct connection ??  Like Java Client Proxy and ABAP Server proxy
I am not clear on this.. Could you please explain or help me on this . ??
    Siva..

    Hi ,
+You can do both for java proxies as well Abap proxies.+
    As per the following points
    1. Point-to-point connection is a new capability available with SAP NW PI 7.1. It allows applications or systems to send messages using WS-RM without going through a middleware, e.g. PI, but still using a centralized tool to design and
configure the interfaces and connection properties.
    2. SAP XI 3.0/PI 7.00 or higher releases can be licensed based on the total volume of messages in
gigabytes (GB) that is processed per month. The size of the payload is determined in the integration
server. The information is then aggregated according to sender and receiver system.
    Question :
    1. If Message exchange between 2 SAP applications using direct connection .. Then dont we need to consider about licencing cost for volume of messages per month ?
    2. So if i use ABAP Client Proxy to Java Server proxy  scenario.. can i use direct connection  ? Eg., SAP ECC to java application ?
In both the cases PI Runtime is not required  .. Am i right ?
    Please clarify..

How do I integrate  two ECC systems ( Normally proxies are created on ECC system )
Or it is not possible to talk between two SAP ECC system using direct connections and I am going a wrong way
    I am confused .
    Please  help in this regard
    Thanks

    Hi,
You are correct, Instructor has used SAP PI system ABAP stack to create proxies.
Let me explain you how he has used SAP PI system to illustrate the Direct Connection with in PI itself.
->  Created Proxies both Server and Client in PI itself.
->  Uses Client 200 as SYS1 and SYS2 as 300 (see Receiver Communication Channel creation) other than these, he must
have 001 client for Integration server itself.
->   Executes client proxy from Client 200 and gets data from client 300 as this is the receiver.
->   Used client 200 and 300 as two different ABAP Back end systems (Integration Engines) but they are within PI itself.
->   To create proxy he must have ABAP developer license for client 200.
This never happens in any Implementation Projects, As Rajesh said they will be two different ERP systems which pass through PI.
    Hope you understood now.

  • Sharing display and internet connection between a 13inch Mac Book and G4

Does anyone know whether it is possible to connect a Mac Book and a G4 Powermac with an ethernet cable and then hook them both up to the same display and ethernet internet connection?

Usually you use a router to share an internet connection and to make a local network between the computers over Ethernet or WiFi. I think it is possible to directly connect the computers without a router, but you might have to use a cross-over cable, I'm not sure how to set up a direct connection. Using a wireless router with wired ports would allow you the flexibility of using the MacBook wirelessly and the PowerMac with a wired connection. I have an Apple Airport Extreme Base Station, and it was pretty easy to set up, it plugs into my cable modem to share the internet connection.
They make hardware devices that allow you to share a docking station between more than one computer, called a KVM switch, so you can have one keyboard, video display, and mouse and switch between two active computers.
Alternately, using the network connection, you can use Chicken of the VNC, which is a virtual network computer, this opens a window, or full-screen mode, of a computer so you can operate it from another computer.
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc/
You can also control a PC from the Mac using Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection.
    http://www.microsoft.com/mac/otherproducts/otherproducts.aspx?pid=remotedesktopc lient
Some monitors have multiple inputs, so you wouldn't need to use a KVM switch, if for example your monitor has both DVI and VGA inputs, the front panel can select the source, so you could use a DVI adapter for the MacBook and a VGA for the PowerMac. You could still use the KM portion of a KVM switch if you wanted to use a single full-size keyboard and mouse with both computers.

  • Connection between MacBook Air and iphone 3gs through a hub isn't good

Several times the connection between my computer and iphone has stopped or cancelled saying that the iphone had been disconnected. But nothing had been touched! Why?

    Hey,
Plug the iPhone directly into the MBA. If your going to use a hub make sure it's a powered hub, the hub itself should have it's own power cord. If it's powered by the USB port then your going to have issues.

  • How to create ODBC connection between Oracle 10g and MS SQL Server

    Hi,
Can someone help us with the steps to create an ODBC connection between Oracle APPS using Oracle 10g database and MS SQL Server.
Requirement is to extract the transactional data from MS SQL Server on a daily basis and dump it into Oracle tables for an interface to be run. Currently it is being done through Dataloader tool which we feel is causing the data issue with Arabic characters. We want to create the ODBC directly between Oracle and MS SQL Server and check if the data is being pulled correctly.
The data is in sql server 2000 which has data in Arabic_CI_AS character set which is moved to Oracle 10.2.0.3 database with characterset AL32UTF8. The table data is moved to oracle using the dataloader 3.6 standard edition licensed version. We cannot change the character set of Sql Server 2000.
    Please help
    Thanks
    Shanil

    Hi,
If you're trying to PULL data from SQLServer into an Oracle database, you wouldnt use Oracle ODBC driver for that, so you may want to post in the Heterogeneous Services forum instead:
    Heterogeneous Connectivity
If you're trying to PUSH data from SQLServer into an Oracle database, you could use ODBC but most folks use OLEDB for that, and the following note on MOS should help:
How to Create a Sql Server Linked Server With The Oracle Provider for OLE DB     (Doc ID 191368.1)
As with any NLS related issue, the first thing to do is dump the codepoints of the data in the Oracle database to see if it is stored validly, rather than relying on what the data "looks like" from some tool or other. It's best to check a single row, with only a few characters in it if you can, and you can do that via
    SELECT DUMP(<columname>,1016) FROM <tablename> WHERE ...
    Hope it helps,
    Greg
