Direct Draw Issues (K7N2G-L & Me)

Direct Draw causes a failure & often a automatic system rebooot.
First off, I have
-all the latest msi drivers
-latest nividia drivers (as far as i know)
-latest direct x (9)
I have run all diagnostic direct x tests, and they ALL pass. I have also tried various bios configurations.
Ive probably put aover 35 hours attempting to cure this issue, from format/install, XP Pro, to ME (me is more stable). And MASSIVE amounts of different bios configurations. ;(
I noticed that direct draw version is the same when i had direct x 8, as it is with 9. Is an old version of direct draw set into the motherboard somehow?

Sounds like it may be hardware, if you did all that and still have a problem. As far as I know directx stays on your harddrive and is a part of the actual operating system. Thus when you reformat, it is erased. I used to have a gainward GF2MX (that I tortured inhumanely) that had a similar problem with directdraw. whenever I started any directdraw game, the OS would scream and then show multicolored bars across the screen, after some deduction, it turned out that the gainward tweak program that came with the card installed fine in xp, but really puts its foot in my computer's ramslot whenever it started any 2d action. Just a thought, but it sounds like more of a potential hardware problem to me like the actual vidcard itself.

Has Sun fixed the direct draw and direct X problems?

I have been looking at the bugs and forums lately and have not seen anywhere that Sun has fixed the direct draw and direct X problems. I disabled these options a while back but would like the performance of direct draw back. Here are the flags I am talking about.

I had that same thing happen on an older system while using a GF2 MX and a NIC card in the top PCI slot. I discovered the AGP and top PCI were "shared" on that mobo. Moving the NIC to another slot resolved the issue.

Direct draw problems with fx5200-td128

For some reason, this card refuses to work 100%. dxdiag shows agp texture accel. to be not available, and the direct draw tests do not work. I have the 53.03 drivers.
I've reinstalled directx, drivers, etc... numerous times. I've also tried both the Nvidia and the MSI drivers. I've played with the AGP size in bios, as well as all the other AGP options, and can't seem to find a combination that works.
System:
MSI Kt6-delta mb
Athlon XP 2600+
512Mb PC3200 Micron
No overclocking
any thoughts?

After i run the PrePayments process i could see in SOE the correct values for Payment Method with all bank details and payment amount.
But when i run the Saudi Payment Output File i couldnt see the output file from the button View Output it gives me a message "Concurrent request did not create an output file".
Even we couldnt find any file on the server with extension as .mf
I checked in the Assignment Process Results for each assignment but could not find any record for Magnetic Tape.
I shall be thankful to you if you could let me know how you solved this issue.

I am sure I have given the same start date for EFT and prepayments processess.
I have three records for each assignment in the tables PAY_PAYROLL_ACTIONS and PAY_ASSIGNMENT_ACTIONS.
Action Type

X = Magnetic report
Rather it should be four records one additional for Magnetic Tape which is missing.
The log says the program has completed successfully without any errors. Below I have copied some parts of the log file.

Direct Draw init failed!

Have an MSI Gf4 Ti4200, 512MB ram, VIA chipset mobo etc and i constantly get direct draw problems. Sometimes it tells me theres a direct draw init problem other times the graphics simply run poorly. Tried upgrading to directX 9.0 and changing all my drivers. Can't figure this out any pointers please...?

Ok, let's compile all the problems that you guys have here.
1) Direct Draw has failed regardless of number of formatings or re-installing.
2) Have tried all versions of DirectX (8.1/9.0/9.0a) but results in vain.
3) Have tried all version of nvidia drivers and detonators but no improvement.
I have an idea here where it possible for you to detect errors on this.
Go to find files/ folders using keyword "DXDiag".
Activate application and let the program detect if everything of your DirectX, GPU drivers etc... are digitally signed. Check also if there are any errors or conflict occurred in your DirectX registry files. Do every testing of Direct Draw etc...
If you've detected errors here, I would think that you'll need to get to update your DirectX again... though you guys may have done this umpteen times... After updating go through process again and check if errors still ghost around. :)

Re-draw issues after upgrade

Dear All, After doing the upgrade to FCP 5.1.4 I am experiencing screen re-draw issues in the browser and viewer primarily. Did the upgrade screw with the video ram? I am using an ATI Radeon 9650 card, worked fine before the upgrade. My monitors are two Sony G520 21" 1152x870 resolution with Millions of colors and 75 Hertz refresh rate.
When I am in standard layout and am in List View in the Browser it doesn't consistently redraw when I open different bins or move the window around. In the viewer it will stay on one tab even after I have clicked on another. FCP is the only app open but I did notice re-draw problems in PSD when it was the only app open as well. Suggestions, fixes, time to upgrade the video card? Thanks Paul.

Under the apps tab in iTunes, is sync apps checked? Checks in the boxes for the apps you want to sync to your phone?

Direct Draw Examples

When JDK 1.4 was released a month ago or so there was an article on the javasoft home page talking about all the new things that were in 1.4. One of the things mentioned was a direct drawing API that is similar to DirectX.
When I downloaded and installed 1.4 I didn't see anything in the demo directory that looked to be a direct draw example. Does anyone know if there is a web page of examples for this new direct draw API?

Direct Draw Graphic cards!

When using ULTRA one needs a graphic card which does "DIRECT DRAW". My current graphic card MATROX PAHELIA is not compatible. How do I figure out which graphic card is compatible and has "direct draw"?

What is it about these cards anyways?

Remoteapp Server 2012 std drawing issues

Hello!
We are hosting an application trough Remoteapp on Server 2012 std. We have been struggling with a screen drawing issue where for example text in a textbox does not appear unless the textbox is clicked or borders of boxes are hidden until moving mouse over
them. Running the application trough full rdp session works perfectly. Our client machines are running on Windows 7 with latest updates.
We have tried changing some remoteFX settings but nothing seems to be working. Does anybody have solution or ideas what might work for the described issue?

Any furhter update for your case. Did you check with manufacture of your application, is this supported as RemoteApp?
As test what happens when you publish paint or notepad as RemoteApp, can you work easily with that.

2D Screen Draw Issues - KT880 Delta

Ok, here I am again after resolving all the other issues.
It would appear that I am having some slight 2D screen draw issues. As with everyone else that has posted in these forums along the same lines with the KT880 Delta everything is fine with 3D. For some reason it is only with 3D.
So far I have done the following:
Moved my Soundblaster Live Card to the 5th PCI Slot to avoid any conflict.
Installed, Uninstalled and reinstalled both sound and nVidia drivers
Disabled VLink 8x in the bios
Set AGP to 4x in the bios (I only have a 4x AGP card currently)
Set the cache to 128mb
First installed the correct 4-in-1 drivers, then superceded thoses with the Hyperion drivers instead.
Despite all this I am still getting draw issues when minimising and maximizing windows, scrolling through web sites, and dragging open windows around the desktop. However, I have tried 2d drawing tests on windows media player 10, as well as pitstop (that actually told me I had a good setup!!)
So, not too sure what to do...any more help would be great.
Specs are:
MSI KT880 Board
Sempron 2800+ 2.0ghz CPU
1.5Ghz DDR333 memory
Gainward MX440 128Mb 4x AGP card
Creative Soundblaster Live! 1024 card
350w PSU (Not sure what type it is!!!)

This appears to be a recurring problem with the KT880 across several different graphic cards (mostly NVIDIA). I've never seen so many complaints specific to 2D graphics collectively as have been reported here for just one particular mainboard. There is talk of a BETA BIOS that solved at least one case, but not others:

The number of reported cases is more than the # of threads because some users entered into existing threads to report they had the same problem with KT880. MSI should be investigating this issue.

Arabic -English Report direct printing issues in Oracle 10g

I am working on Oracle database 10g and application server 10g on windows 2008 platform in Arabic Environment with the following settings.

Now I am facing an issue in connection with arabic reports: When user enter the narration in the DATA ENTRY form like     ' AP600N حبر طابعة ريكو اسود   '      writing from right to left.
it's storing in the database as ' حبر طابعة ريكو اسود AP600N '
Again when its querying in the form, it comes properly as it's written.
Even its coming in the bitmap report in screen as it's written.   But when I am printing directly to printer in bitmap mode, its coming as its in the database.
Is there any way to get the print as they wrote in the screen?
Also the Character mode printing comes in left to right in screen as well as in printer.
Please help me...

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition; Wireless Direct Printing Issues

Good day everyone. The subject refers. I have been trying to connect my tablet to my hp printer (LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw) using wireless direct printing without success. What normally happens is when I try to detect the printer through wifi on the tablet, the error message I get from the tablet is "Network disabled because internet connection is slow". What can I do???

Regarding the troubles getting the Wireless Direct connection working with a Samsung Galaxy Note, does this error display only on the Wireless Direct network?
I have not been able to reproduce the error, but I have found something that addresses the error on another support site that might be worth a try.
Getting "Network disabled because internet connection is slow" during setup<--- Not a HP support site, nor is it related to a printer, but the error is the same and follows suite with a connection issue with a Samsung product.
Let me know if this suggestion is helpful.

Streaming Video and Bitmap Draw issues.

Hello all,
In the current application I'm developing, I have a custom
video console. While watching a video, certain points in the
timeline will pop up a dialog box that gives the user the ability
to switch to a related video. If the user clicks the button to view
the related video, a 3D effect flips the current "main" console to
a secondary "branching" console - much like the flip effect the
iPhone uses. The videos are streaming from FMS 3, the client
application was developed in Flex, and we are using Alex Uhlmann's
Distortion Effects to achieve the 3D flip effect.
When I first started developing the application, I ran in to
the infamous "Security sandbox violation: BitmapData.draw" error
whenever I would try the flip. After some investigation on the web,
I found that I needed to set the Client.videoSampleAccess property
in my FMS application's main.asc to allow bitmap snapshot access. I
did so, and that seemed to do the trick. After playing with the
application a bit more, however, I found that the error would still
come about if I did the following:
1. Pause the video (stream)
2. Perform a seek while paused.
3. Attempt the flip effect.
When I did the above, the error came back. If I paused,
performed a seek, and then unpaused the video, everything worked
fine. If I pause and then immediately do the flip without a seek,
everything works fine.
It seems as though when you pause and then perform a seek,
the player forgets that it has permission to do a frame grab until
you restart playback.
Has anyone else had this issue, or anything similar? If so,
how did you solve it?

I've been searching all over for someone having the same
problem that I am.
I'm seeing nearly the same thing that you are. I have
SWFVerification turned on and the swf copied over to the correct
directory. If I stream an FLV and attempt to capture grab the
bitmap data it works fine. Always.
If I try the same thing with a .mov or .mp4 file it mostly
works, but sometimes (after doing basically the same thing you've
described in your message), I get the SecurityError. If I try again
after a delay of a few seconds, sometimes it works. When that
doesn't work, if I seek a 1/10th of a second ahead in the video
then try again, it almost always works. But sometimes that, too,
fails.
Have you found a reliable solution to your problem? Has
anyone else seen this issue? I would file a bug for FMS, but it
looks like the bug-tracking system for FMS is not public. It would
be nice for it to be public.

Tabular model with Direct Query issue

i am creating a tabular model - Direct Query option. I am using a kind of below query to import data,
Declare @TEST as Table (TestID int, TestName varchar(20))
Insert into @TEST
Select 1, 'TEst1' Union
Select 2, 'TEst2'
Select * from @TEST
But the Import fails with an error similar to below,
OLE DB or ODBC error. An error occurred while processing the partition 'Query_``````````' in table 'Query_````````'. The current operation was cancelled because another operation in the transaction failed.
Any idea, why it is failing ? or is it like we shouldn't use declare statement in the Query area ?

I'm pretty sure that the query would have to be a single statement so the declare statement would be causing issues.
So just doing this as a single union query should work:
Select 1 as TestID, 'TEst1' as TestName Union
Select 2, 'TEst2'

Customer directed parts issue

Hi,
In one of our running implementations we have the following requirement.
We have A material a which the plant procures from vendor G and H that material a is used in let's say 2 finished goods X and Y. The customer for finished good X informs us that in his product material A needs to be procured from vendor H whereas customer Y does not impose this rule onto us.
So how does the ERP system react to this?
Example:
We receive the following orders from our customer:
Customer for finished good X orders 200 pcs
Customer for finished good Y orders 100 pcs
These requirements are entered into SAP and we then run to MRP.
The result of MRP will be a requirement for component A of 300 pcs.
If we use a source list together with a quota arrangement (quota split 50% to vendor G and 50% to vendor H), purchasing will order the following quantities of material A at vendor H and G:
H : 150 pcs
G : 150 pcs
This means that when we produce finished good X we have not enough components that are received from the customer directed vendor which will cause problems.
Typically having 2 different part numbers for the same material would solve this issue. However the engineering department says that if a material is the same in fit-form or function it can only have 1 material number.
Is there a way in purchasing that we can split these requirements so that the orders for the customer directed material go to the correct vendor?

You get different customer orders for lets say FERT -ABC1 which has component A1 this component is required to be utilized for specific customer order and needs to be procured from a perticular vendor
You create customer order which is taken in MRP , set the Indv./coll requirement field in MRP4 view of the material master of A1
In this case system will generate sales order specific purchase requiisition for different quantities
If you are using auto generation of PO using ME59 use user exit ME590001 to influence the source selection based on customer in the sales order updated in PR in account assignment tab
To manage and track inventory of same part from different vendors you can activate batch management at material level with manual assignment of batches, while back flush system will ask for batch in pull list based on the customer order for which the production order is created you can select the batch of A1, even in case of repititive manufacturing you have that option in pull list
