Direct Input via BDT?

Does anyone know, what exactly the transactions 'BUTI' or 'BUTJ' are doing? I'm actualy searching for a starting point to migrate (non sap) business partner informations via BDT. Can someone give me a hint?

Just for future reference, this is the Customer Relationship Management forum not the ERP(R/3) forum. I would recommend posting your question in the ABAP forum, or the ERP forum, as this forum strictly concentrates on CRM system issues.  You will also need to provide more details on what type of business partners you are trying to load, since data conversion to an ERP system is a very established practice and someone should be able to give you the right hints on how to load the data.
Thus my answer was aimed at solving a CRM data load issue and not ERP issues.

    I tried to use MM50 but no materials can be found, as these materials are totally new when WM go alive, the warehouse management view is not active yet so MM50 can not found any data need to be extended, so is there any method to solve this problem of MM50?

  • Using Direct Input mode: UTF-8 character encoding assumed

    When I validate a web page in dreamweaver CS5 (using Jeffrey Zeldman's Web Standards Advisor ) I receive the following warning; Using Direct Input mode: UTF-8 character encoding assumed.
    However if I validate using W3C either as a file upload or via the live site the page validates correctly.
    Can anybody please help, as it is driving me insane.

  • LSMW - Direct Input

    Hi Pals,
    We are using the standard direct input pgm <b>RCSBI010</b> for creation on BOMs using an LSMW. However, when we are giving multiple BOM components in our file for a single header, each component is getting created separately. But this is not the case that we want. We want all the BOM components given in the file for a single header to be created for a single BOM itself. We are using the transaction CS01 to acheive this.
    When I checked the LSMW, the target field for this BOM COMPONENT is IDNRK. However to enter multiple BOM line items I would require it to be something like IDNRK(01). But I am not sure if this is a right analysis.
    If any of you have an idea how to handle this, please provide your valuable inputs.

  • Internal PLNNR assignment in Routing (Direct input RCPTRA02)

    Hi all,
    i finally managed to complete my multiple structure lsmw to create routings via direct input RCPTRA02 program. The only thing i want from SAP now is to assign plan numbers internally. i dont want to give a plannumber for each routing i create, and besides, there's so much data that i can't find logical plan numbers for all those materials.
    Can anyone explain how i can make my RCPTRA02 lsmw assign the plannr internally? In change of each material, i want system to create a new plan number. Every material will have its own plan this way.
    Any suggestions?

    The number is auto-generated, have you tried creating a few routings in your sandbox? If not please check, system will auto-generate the number.

  • AS91 error direct input LSMW

    Hi all
    I created an LSMW project for tcode AS91 using Direct Input method. I am encountering an error saying that "No valid cost center was entered". This error appears although there is a const center entered in the upload file. What would cause this error?

    Is the cost center mapped correctly to the target field? Make sure the cost center has been created for a validity period that matches the period of the time dependent asset data you are loading.
    Edit: just found out that the cost center must be valid on the day after the day of migration as in T093C-DATUM, please doublecheck in table CSKS or via KS03.

  • Error in uploading the PO while running Direct Input porgram RM06EEI0

    Hi all
    i have written one conversion program to upload PO. Here in the program i am populating the batch input structures MBEPOH and MBEPOI and finally writing it to the unix file.
    Finally when i execute the direct input program RM06EEI0
    using the logical filename , it gives the error as 'Net price should be greater than 0' .
    i have also checked the file in the unix directory , there the net price is getting populated correctly. Also i debugged the direct input program and found out that net price is getting passed correctly to FM ME_CREATE_PO_ITEM but somewhere  the KOMP   structure is not getting populated ,that is why net price becomes 0.
    Can anybody please tell whether there is some issue in writing the conversion program or i am missing some parameters to be passed in MBEPOH or MBEPOI, or what has to be done.
    Please help me , it is urgent .

  • Tax issue with Direct Input mode of RFBIBL00

    Hi, I have a problem using <b>RFBIBL00</b> (direct input mode) to create A/R invoices. There is no tax associated with the invoice, however, when I use direct input mode, instead of posting immediately, a batch input session is created. In the log, an <b>information</b> message: <i>'Specify a tax jurisdiction key'</i>. The BDC session is processed with no error.
    When using Call transaction mode for RFBIBL00, the document is posted immediately but the requirement is to use Direct input mode.
    There is no converted data in the BBTAX structure since the doc. does not need to post to tax account. Do I need to populate the Tax amount, Tax code and jurisdiction code in this structure and BBSEG in order to by pass the information message?
    Any advice is appreciated.

    Problem solved. Just need to untie the relationship between the ITEM import structure and the BBTAX so the Direct Input program will not require a tax jurisdiction code.

      What is the procedure to include a specific program / report in the drop down box of program name of Direct Input method in LSMW?
    What is the diff. between Physical path and Logical path?
    How can we give our input data using logical path when we execute some standard batch or direct input programs?

    Thnaks for your reply, This is my requirement.
    Here my problem is i am trying to upload the data from flatfile which contain materil number, denominator, Actual UOM, Nominator field values.
    Which is the data i need to upload into MM02 and MM01, if material number is new then it has to create the material, if material is already existing it has to update the UOM values.
    here i am getting data into my internal table INP_DATA, from that i am trying to upload the data to database by using job name MRP_MATERIAL_MASTER_DATA_UPLOAD with direct input program RMDATIND.
    when i execute my program i am getting success message all the records writtin from flatfile to application server. and job started message.
    then if i go into sm37 screen there i execute the job it is also giving active message. if i refresh it it is showing job completed message.
    then i look at job log status. there i found that for existing material it is expecting material type, for new material it is giving some gravity error.
    So could u help me in this it will be gr8.

    I am executing my program in background with bmv0 transaction with variant, in development I can run this job in background with out any logical errors but in QA I am getting errors.
    Can you please help me in the above case.
    In Bmv0 transaction first I defined the job and in  program rmdatind (execute) screen first I mentioned the Max. no of logical errors as 500 and Transactions per commit unit as 500 and I run the program in background in bmv0 transaction and I am getting the message background job terminated immediately
    Because of this again I changed the Max. no of logical errors 500 to 99999 and transaction per commit unit 500 to 999999 and then i scheduled my program in background.
    Alomost it ran for 27 hours and then it has given the message background job terminated.

    I know it has taken long time to process the job  because of I changed the transactions per commit unit (500 to 999999) it kills the system
    But I am supposed to provide some number < 999999 in transactions per commit unit

    I am using direct input method for uploading Material Forecasting  in SAP server ...
    But the problem is that , I m not able to get the error log ie im not getting the material no.
    that are ended up in error while uploading. Actually, i can see the material that are in
    error but im not abe to save it or download it,So as to pass it to functional Consultants.
    Im using the RMDATIND program to upload the file.
    Requesting all to provide some suggestion to get /capture the error data.

  • Best practice "changing several related objects via BDT" (Business Data Toolset) / Mehrere verbundene Objekte per BDT ändern

    Hallo,
    I want to start a
    discussion, to find a best practice method to change several related master
    data objects via BDT. At the moment we are faced with miscellaneous requirements,
    where we have a master data object which uses BDT framework for maintenance (in
    our case an insured objects). While changing or creating the insured objects a
    several related objects e.g. Business Partner should also be changed or
    created. So am searching for a best practices approach how to implement such a
    solution.
    One Idea was to so call a
    report via SUBMIT AND RETURN in Event DSAVC or DSAVE. Unfortunately this implementation
    method has only poor options to handle errors. Second it is also hard to keep LUW
    together.
    Another idea is to call an additional
    BDT instance in the DCHCK-event via FM BDT_INSTANCE_SELECT and the parameters
    iv_xpush_classic = ‘X’ and iv_xpop_classic = ‘X’. At this time we didn’t get
    this solution working correctly, because there is always something missing
    (e.g. global memory is not transferred correctly between the two BDT instances).
    So hopefully you can report
    about your implementations to find a best practice approach for facing such
    requirements.

    Ansatz zu finden, der eine BDT Implementierung/Erweiterung beschreibt, bei der
    verschiedene abhängige BDT-Objekte geändert werden. Momentan treffen bei uns

    Ein anderer Ansatz den wir verfolgt hatten, war im Zeitpunkt
    DCHCK per FuBA BDT_INSTANCE_SELECT und den Parameter iv_xpush_classic = ‘X’ and
    iv_xpop_classic = ‘X’ eine neue BDT Instanz zu erzeugen. Leider konnten wir diese
    Lösung nicht endgültig zum Laufen bekommen, da es immer Probleme beim
    Übertragen der globalen Speicher der einzelnen BDT Instanzen gab.
    Ich hoffe Ihr könnt hier eure Implementierungen kurz beschreiben, dass wir
    eine Best Practice Ansatz für das Thema finden können
