Direct Link to Report layout in Shared Components

Is it possible to put a link on my page that goes directly into the Shared-Components- Report Layouts? I do'nt want my developer users to have to open up the builder to create/upload new (.rtf) Report Layouts.

Yeah
It's
http://host:port/pls/apex/f?p=4000:1400:&APP_SESSION.With the normal substitutions for your setup and removing pls if your using EPG.

  • How to show a variable screen when clicking on direct link of report in ,when that report is used as target in RRI alsoRRI

    Hi All,
    I have created RRI between two reports and the type is web template/WAD.
    My requirement is to show the variable screen of target report when clicked on direct link and it should not show the var. screen if it goes from jump/go to.
    while currently I can not see var. screen on both the places and when switching the var. scree. display on in web template , it shows the screen at both the places.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Anu

    Hi Anu,
    "And when I am using another var. in assignment details which is ready for input (in both the queries), its not helping."
    Did you try using such a variable? What kind of a problem do you face? I am sorry I am still trying to understand your problem. I am just saying that which variable you use is not important for the first query. Only in the second query, add a variable with ready for input (I am not sure why the other doesn't work, I just tried and it gave an error, that's why I suggest this) and in RRI connection make the assignment with this variable. Please try this and let me know the result.

  • Fullscreen Ppro direct link bug report

    Hello,
    When direct linking from Ppro with a full screen previewing of your timeline, the preview "sticks" and you are stuck with the single frame you were at in PPro when you enter Speedgrade, even if you try the keyboard shortcut for getting out of full screen in Premiere (in my french case ctrl+ù).
    Of course this applies only to dual monitors setup I guess.

    Thanks for the report Fred. We'll have a look

  • Create Report Layout (Apex 3.2) - How can I set the substitution variables?

    Hi,
    I created a "Report Query" under "Shared Components". I now want to work on the corresponding "report layout". I created a "Generic Columns (XSL-FO)". I read the following in the documentation:
    The following are valid substitution strings:
    #PAGE_HEADER#
    #PAGE_HEADERFONT_COLOR#
    #PAGE_HEADER_FONT_FAMILY#
    #PAGE_HEADER_FONT_SIZE#
    #PAGE_HEADER_FONT_WEIGHT#
    #PAGE_FOOTER#
    #PAGE_FOOTER_FONT_COLOR#
    #PAGE_FOOTER_FONT_FAMILY#
    #PAGE_FOOTER_FONT_SIZE#
    #PAGE_FOOTER_FONT_WEIGHT#
    #PAGE_WIDTH#
    #PAGE_HEIGHT#
    #HEADER_BG_COLOR#
    #HEADER_FONT_COLOR#
    #HEADER_FONT_FAMILY#
    #HEADER_FONT_SIZE#
    #HEADER_FONT_WEIGHT#
    #BODY_BG_COLOR#
    #BODY_FONT_COLOR#
    #BODY_FONT_FAMILY#
    #BODY_FONT_SIZE#
    #BODY_FONT_WEIGHT#
    #BORDER_WIDTH#
    Where can I set the values for these substitution variables in my "Report Layout"? Could someone give an example? I can't seem to find documentation on this.
    Thanks!
    Francois

    Thanks for the tip however I'm not trying to do this through the print tab, I'm calling the report using the following get_print_document in pl/sql code:
    l_report_blob := apex_util.get_print_document(
    p_application_id => l_application_id,
    p_report_layout_name => l_report,
    p_report_query_name => l_report,
    p_report_layout_type => l_output_format,
    p_document_format => l_output_format,
    p_print_server => null);
    Where could I set these substitution variables ? I'm simply calling a report query and layout created under Shared Components.
    Thanks

  • No link to report purchased app problems

    I just got another iTunes email that confirmed my purchase. It was for an App Add on that was supposed to be Free. The title in the app add-on also uses the words FREE TODAY but I was charged 99 cents. So I followed the link which opened iTunes and followed the REPORT A PROBLEM link.
    From there I have spent nearly 45 min going round and round on the Apple Support Site. If I click somewhere and then select NO to the question of "Did this solve your problem?" the window closes but offers no form to report the problem.
    Does anyone know of a direct link to report an App Purchase problem to Apple? Even if the App was misleading and was really $0.99 instead of Free, it would be nice to know whether or not Apple has a means to be contacted regarding errors in App purchases, or if I will just be hung out to dry.

    "t NO to the question of "Did this solve your problem?" the window closes but offers no form to report the problem. "
    You should see the Express lane button. You can contact them from there.

  • Assign report layout to Interactive report

    Is it possible to link a Report Layout to an Interactive query so that downloads to pdf will pick up the new format.

    I understand what you are saying.
    Leave this first date column as it is but create a third column to the left of the first date column. And put a MIN(promotion date) formula on this. Now your new column will pull a single date for the combination of the 03 GHI. We still need the original promotion date column for our promotion date2 column to work correctly. but we dont have to show it. so adjust the format of this column (white on white) so that its hidden.
    Thanks,

  • Shared Components APEX Report Query and Layout

    Does anyone know how to call the report query and layout from the Shared components section from a page within the application?

    mtbdude40 wrote:
    What I need is this:  The ability to create a PDF report with a custom header defining the data (example - select * from emp where deptno = :deptno and the header includes the department name).
    I use this white paper as my source:  http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/learnmore/custom-pdf-reports-1953918.pdf
    You need to build and use a Shared Resource -> Report Queries.
    The Report Query will have two queries associated with it (see below).
    one query will be for the header information, the other will be for the data.
    use the "download" of the "xml data" as your source for Altova/other tools.
    If you add/remove/change queries, You'll have to redo your report (from scratch) as that changes the XML Schema required. (at least, with my experience)
    Once you get the hang of it, 2x queries is easy (Header, data)
    I've experimented with 3x queries (header, master,details) but have been unsuccessful.  I have some ideas though ("link" master->detail info via XPath stuff within Altova) but haven't gotten around to testing it.
    If you want to run the report for multiple departments....That might require some finesse.
    Unfortunately, the Source of the Queries can't be a scalar SQL that returns 1 row of 1 column of data type XMLType....

  • Issue with Shared Components - Report Layouts Download

    After my isp provider upgraded from APEX 3.2.1 to 4.0, I am now unable to go into the Shared Components -> Report Layouts section and access an existing report to download my rtf template. Is there another way to go and get this out of the database. I need to update a report layout that is old and I do not have a backup of the original report and do not want to spend the time to recreate.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    If you have TOAD, or if you can install it, by connecting to your database you will be able to access your report layout via the Schema Browser. The whole path should be "All Schemas -> APEX_040000 -> Tables -> WWV_FLOW_REPORT_LAYOUTS". In that table you will find you report layout. Double click on it and copy/paste it into a text editor.
    Note: You might need to be granted some rights to access the 400+ tables of the APEX_040000 schema. Or if you have a DBA, ask him to do this for you.
    Of course, if you don't want to install TOAD, I bet you could query that table from the SQL Commands of the SQL Workshop, but you would again need the rights to access said table.
    Best regards,
    Mathieu

  • Translate report layouts (Shared Components)

    Hi,
    I create in my application PDF using shared components (Report Queries and Report Layouts) and the BI Publisher. The queries I have deposited in Report Qieries and templates in report layouts. The call is done via the URL (which appears in the report query). Now I have translated my application and see that the titles of my templates are not visible with the xlife file. How can I translate the report layout from the Shared Components.
    Thank you in advance for your support.

    Are you really still trying to support IE6?
    When i clik on that specfic tab which is time causing, in that screen contains
    1. Popup screens
    2. Text items
    3. List items
    We have tried to this option from toad to check which Query is cauisng the problem, but nothing query is running in back end to tarce what could be exact problem
    In toad#9.2 version we have option as Database->Monitor>Session Browser [where we can see which query is running under specfic session]
    To establish exactly where time is being spent, use Debug mode to identify APEX or database issues, and timeline/profiling developer tools in the browser to check for network or JavaScript problems.
    What web server are you using? If you're using EPG check the SHARED_SERVERS configuration.

  • Report Query wizard error (in Shared Components)

    I have been following the <a target="_window" href="http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/howtos/howto_master_detail_pdf.html">How-To Create a Master-Detail PDF Report</a><br>
    <br>
    I'm using Apex 3.01 and Firefox 2.0.0.7<br>
    <br>
    When I have to create a Report Query in the shared components, I get through the wizard to the Create Report Query Layout page and for some reason, the Previous and Next buttons don't work. The only button that works is the Cancel button.<br>
    It seems to happen after I've downloaded the sample XML file from that page.<br>
    I've also noticed this happens when you go in to edit an existing Report Query and take a download of the XML...<br>
    On closer inspection it seems to be the buttons that have onclick="javascript:doSubmit..." behind them that don't work. Buttons with javascript:confirmDelete seem to still be active and work ok.<br>
    <br>
    But, the problem doesn't happen in IE7.<br>
    <br>
    I found this happened on both my local installation and on my apex.oracle.com instance.<br>

    Has anyone else had this behavior or is this some dodgy local setting I have wrong?<br>

  • Direct Link to Detail Navigation Report

    Hi, I have a number of reports(IViews) in my Detail Navigation Area.  Is there anyway to get a direct link to a specific IView in the Portal?
    Thanks!

    You might want to read up about iViews and quicklinks, which are basically a named shortcut to an iView...  Of course, the user needs to have the iView as one of the iViews in their role before they can launch it with the quicklink.

  • How to embed placeholder from report layout editor in a link

    I have created a report selecting the custom report layout option. Rather than using a link on the column, I would like to add different links in the footer section in the Report Layout Editor. My problem is trying to create a link and pass a value from the report to the next report. I have tried to use the placeholder #fieldname.field# in an attempt to pass the value in my call to the other report object but it is not working. My actual call is listed below:
    Address
    When I click on the link the other report returns "No row returned". If I substitue the placeholder with a value I know exists the link works correctly.
    Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can embed the placeholder in the link command. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Direct (External) Link to Report

    I am trying to figure out how I can create a direct link to a report.
    We wish to have a "Portal" page that resides outside of InfoView.  The portal will have numerous links, some of which will be WebI reports.  How can I get the URL for these reports?  I'm okay that the user has to sign into Infoview.  I just don't want them to have to navigate to the report.
    Any input is welcome.

    Hi Ryan,
    You can get the URL for any particular webi report from the CMC Central management consoleof the business objects.
    Locate the report in the CMC folders and preview the report.
    Copy the URl of the report and use it in the Portel after applying the opendoc parameters.
    for e.g.-
    "http://d-3281:808/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/opendoc/opendocument.jsp?iDocID=4766"
    Hope it helps.
