You need to go for special procurement type direct procurement.
   Using the direct procurement we can order the BOM Components for a planned order directly instead of via ware house.
This can be done using
   1. spl proc key in MRP 2 View.
   2. using the item category non stock item.
In customising for MRP in the IMG Activity settings for direct procurement
indicator 1 or 3 direct procurement is triggered during MRP.
indicator 2 or blank direct procurement is triggered while creating production orders.

Supplier Schdule lines through MRP

Dear Friends,
Pl go thru following buisness scenario:
Child part which is used for both assembly as well as moved to other plant as child part itself thru STO ( stock transfer to other plant).
Here the requirement for the child part get collated whether it from assembly requiremnt or direct child part requirement all are pooled & goes as vendore schdules thru mrp run.
The requiremnt is, what ever the child part coming from assembly should be seperately identifed & released. The requirments of child part itself move to other plant thru STO should be known & released sepearately.
The person responsilble for the requirements of assembly will concentrate on getting child parts for assembly use. But the service requirements, where the child parts itself is sent thru STO is not cleary known to the supply module.
Can we have same vendor with two differnt Line items one for assembly requirment & other for child part / service requirement ? if so how do we link this in mrp.
Or is there any other method by which this scenaioe requirment can be met.
In case of any futher clarity, pl revert back

Anyway if the Child parts are used for Assembly. So the requirement for that type is dependent reqmt for the child parts . you can see this under the mrp elements in MD04.
But if it is for STO , so the requirement for this child parts is direct reqmt for STO
From the colum MRP element , you can split the reqmt and sent thru the vendor for purchasing for the child parts

Dispatch Instructions for Direct Supply from Vendor to Customer.

Dear Experts,
Our Company is Project Industry. We have implmented SAP ECC 6.0 in 2008 with SD, FI, MM, PP, QM, PS, DMS modules.
In our case 70% Deliveries to customer are from direct dispatch from our vendor to Client. Steps are as follows.
1. Buyer issues PO to vendor for direct dispatch to customer. After readiness of material vendor gives Inspection call to Buyer.
2. Buyer creates inspection notification using T-code QM01.
3. Quality department visit the vendors place, inspect the material & clears the inspection notification.
4. After acceptance of material, Project Execution issues Dispatch instructions to vendor with PO No. & Item details. This is Outside SAP in MS word.
5. Vendor Supplies the material to Customer based on dispatch instructions.l
6. After receipt of dispatch document from vendor, Buyer creates Goods Receipt w.r.t. Purchase order in MIGO. We have Put ABAP check for GR creation to check Accepted Quantity of Inspection notification of that PO line item.
Now our Management wants to Implement above Step No. 4 of creation of dispatch instructions in SAP. At the time of creation dispatch instructions, system shall check if inspection notification is created & allow the creation for accepted PO line item quantity in the notification & only after the inspection notification is closed in SAP . Dispatch instructions should have information such as PO No., Line item no., Material Code, Material Description & quantity to be dispatch, Vendor Name, Project Name.
As per my knowledge in Standard SAP Dispatch Instructions Process is not there.

dispatch instructions can be put into a long text at header or item level, just depends if they are item specific or apply to all items of the PO.
if you do this after the initial PO creation, then this is a PO change and you can print the PO changes as an extra message and send to your vendor.
checking if inspection notification is created has to be made via user exit.

Project Stock Procurement and directly supplied at Site

Hi,
I am creating a project and there are few materials that though exist as stock item in the company/plant, but this is to be specially procured for this Project and also delivered directly at site.
If i assign these materials as Non stock item on Actiity, system does not accept material with Material Number and i get an error "Material 0003-057A0X is incompatible with item category".
I want to undestand how do we treat such a material to be directly procured for project.

Changing text direction for Hebrew lines within a document.

We are new to Creative Cloud. We need to be able to chnage text direction within an In Design document. We looked up how to do it, and while the directions were clear (clicking on change character direction from the character options menu), our character options menu does not include changing text direction as one of the options. We just joined the creative cloud a few weeks ago and have the most updated version; what do we need to do?

Put away to production lines directly, storage location control WM

We are Using Storagelocation Control Functionality in WM
We have below Storage locations
RW01 - Raw Material Storing
PD01 - Materials staged for Production Lines
I have setup 001 as Standard Storage location and 002 as 'not copied to TR'
Few materials are received directly to production lines instead of going to Raw material storage
PO--> GR is posted for PD01
Now TR got generated but doesnt have storage location in it, this is fine as per functionality
When i try to convert to TO it is copying MP01 since it it standard storage location
This is where we are getting 902 negative entries for MP01
No TR creation but bin to bin transer only solution ????

Any pointers ???

IPod line-in max volume?

Every time I plug in an iPod through line-in (3.5" jack), I have to turn the volume up all or almost all the way to get decent volume out of it. I have an old CD player hooked up to a stereo system through RCA cables, and I only have to turn up the stereo volume one-quarter of the way to hear it good. With the iPod at medium volume (which is OK for earbuds), I have to either turn the stereo volume or the iPod volume all the way up. Same thing for my nano through 3.5" -> RCA on the old stereo. This doesn't make any sense, but is consistent across every line-in appliance (including docks) I've used. Why is this?! Android devices behave the same way.
I have noticed that if I plug into a dock directly through the Apple connector (pre-Lightning), the volume on the iPod is either ignored or closely matches the dock's volume. For instance, I dock an old iPod 5th Gen to the Memorex Mini Alarm Clock Radio and the iPod's volume is ignored but I can set the dock's volume adequately (and it closely matches radio so I don't have to keep adjusting volume). If I plug in through line-in, I have to max out the iPod's volume to get the same effect. I plug in my iPod Touch to a Gear4 AlarmDock Reveal, and the volume settings are almost identical (hitting the iPod volume changes the dock's volume by two points).
Can anybody explain why there's so much inconsistency through line-in?

The line-in connection is designed to have a set level input, often known as "line level". The output from your CD player is at line-out level (surprisingly enough, known as "line level"). These two "levels" (line-out and line-in) are the same. Imagine that "line level" is the volume, and it's turned up high. So the output from the CD player and the input to the "old stereo" are matched.
It is usual for the line-out to be fixed, that is, it has no volume control, since volume is controlled by the amplifier.
Modern headphones do not need much power. Line level would be very loud in modern headphones. So the maximum output from the headphones socket on a modern mp3 player (such as iPods) would be no higher than line level, probably lower - and it has a volume control to reduce that volume to your preferred level. In addition, if you bought your iPod anywhere inside the European Union, then the maximum volume from the headphone socket is lower than the rest of the world. So the "level" when plugged into an amplifer's line-in socket would be lower still, even at maximum.
It would be preferable to use the output from the dock connector on the iPod to feed the input to an amplifier's RCA sockets. Using the headphones socket to supply a line level input on a stereo amplifier is a compromise, it was not designed for that purpose.
Your Dock has been specially designed for the iPod and the manufacturers would have made sure that the output from the iPod's dock connection matches the output from the radio section of the dock. In other words, it was meant to be used this way, so the volume of the iPod when docked and the radio are the same.
The RCA connection on your amplifier was not designed for use with iPods, although if you use the dock connection from the iPod it will be acceptable. The dock connection output from the iPod is fixed, at line level. However, I have noticed that some connectors made for an iPod's dock connector use the variable volume output. In other words, the volume control on the iPod affects the output throught the dock connector. This is not correct, the output thorugh a dock connector should be the fixed one, not the variable one.

Direct encoding bitrate quest

I'm planning to buy a Creative MP3 recorder/player, perhaps a MuVo. I need help with the following. The model I'm looking for should, ideally:
- Direct-encode (through line-in) at at least 256 Kbps (stereo)
- Use AAA or AA battery/ies, not rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries
- Take in a microphone through line-in, and, ideally, amplify the signal
- Direct, drag-and-drop file transfer from and to PC
- Preferably, hard memory rather than hard dri've or microdri've
Pluses:
- Expandable card memory
- FM radio

There are 2 (I think) mp3 players which do Line in: the MuVo Micro N200 and the Rhomba NX - I obviously have the N200 so I'll explain what that's got - somebody else will have to explain the Rhomba NX because I don't have one/any experience with it, sorry.
The encoding is pretty bad, too sensiti've (too loud and you can hear explosion like sounds and too quiet and you'll hear nothing). It only goes up to 60
The batteries are your choice, they supply AAA battery with the player, but otherwise it's your choice if you want to buy a rechargeable AAA.
Mics you'll need a 3.5mm to 2.5mm converter, the line in port is 2.5mm
Drag and drop files - yes, you'll need a cable to connect the N200 to a pc though
It's a flash dri've
No expandable memory (The Sport C00 does that though)
FM radio - yes, and recording, but a lot of white noise comes from the radio recordings, so not that good either.
The built in mic is good, but you'll have to hold the player close to the sound source.

Unit Testing: Supplying SYSDATE on a DATE parameter

I have a procedure that I'm unit testing and one of the parameter is date, I want to supply a dynamic value to it relative to sysdate but SQL Developer only accepts hard coded date values. Does anyone know how I can supply SYSDATE or SYSDATE-50 to a date parameter directly. I can already solve this by using a wrapper procedure, just wondering if there's a solution to directly supply the value.

Hi Kranthi.
1. Assuming you are with Plus you can make the parameters optional in the parameters screen (tools -> parameters)
so that if they get NULL as value they will return all data.
2. the second way is if you like to keep it mandatory is to define a default value for the parameter and then take care of the situation in the condition.
for example you'll define the 1-Jan-1900 as your default date for the from_date.
Then in the condition change if you'll define it just as from_date > :P_from_date then you got what you wanted.
BTW In similar situations when you are dealing with varchar you can do a manipulation such as:
from_date > :P_from_date
Or
:P_from_date = '1-Jan-1900'

Report using either query or direct value

Hi,
I'm using Reports 6i.
I'm having a report in which most of the content is static text. only 1 or 2 values i'm fetching from database to fill up the content.
I have a requirement like, if the user directly supply this value, then i have to run this report with the provided value without querying.
In case they dont suppy the values, then the report should query and take values from the database.
Whether such a report is possible?

Suppose my report contents is like this
This is a test report run by USERWhere user is the field.
If i supply user say as 'Divya' , then i should get the output as
This is a test report run by DivyaIf i didn supply user, and instead another parameter say id is supplied, then it should query and take the username and run
Both should happen in single report.
As you suggested, if the user param is null, then nothing comes.
This is just a sample case i told. my original req involves more than one param

Orarrp: How to suppress the extra formfeed in a direct printing.

We are using ORARRP 1.3.4 to print rrpt files directly to a line printer. After report, the ORARRP mechanism send an extra form feed (as we see at ORARRP debug file). Is there a way to avoid this form feed ?

How do I get multiple lines to print for a blank text field so that it can be filled in by hand?

I have to design forms that are fillable electronically and by hand. The problem that I am running in to is supplying multiple lines that will print for people that are hand filling the form. I have tried to add an image of lines behind the text field, but these would get in the way when the form was filled in electronically.
I am using LiveCycle Designer ES2 v. 9.0 on a Windows machine.

Take a textfield
Go to Object | Allow multiple lines
Go to Layout | Height | activate "Expand to fit"
Go to the initialize-Event or readyform (You have to change the _ for your textfield)     this.rawValue = "___________\n___________\n___________";
Go to the enter-Event   this.rawValue = null;
Go to the exit-Event
          if(this.rawValue == null)
                this.rawValue = "___________\n___________\n___________";
          }else{}
With this solution you can simulate the same as pattern see above.

Way too complicated. If you want to change the color or style
of the
border, you have to modify the image. With CSS you can
directly change
the line style in a much easier and faster way.

NI-DAQmx Base - "Read or Write task without first setting line states"

I am writing an application to interface with the USB-6501 hardware platform. In my application, I am first initializing all the lines on each digital port to be either read or write lines. After these lines have been initialized to the correct state, I would like to write data to a specific port, or read data from that port, without having to again define the line states (i.e. I'd like to write data to the port based on the already configured lines).
Here's how I approach the problem. On initialization, my program will create a DAQmxBase task which will set the lines I specify as "Write" lines for port0, following this is another task which specifically sets the "Read" lines for port0. When I create a task to simply read or write data to a port (without again defining which lines are write and which lines are read) I receive the error "-200428 - Value passed to the Task/Channels In control is invalid.". If I define the read and write lines as a step in the same task which reads or writes data (respectively), the process seems to work ok.
Can anybody offer any insight to whether or not I should be able to accomplish this task using this approach?

If you create a task in the DAQmx Base Configuration Utility and set the direction of the line, you don't need to reset the direction in LabVIEW. There are some examples of how to do this at Start>>All Programs>>National Instruments>>NI-DAQmx Base>>Examples>>LabVIEW 7.1. Open the static example for DIO>>Write Dig Port.
