Direct to voicemail softkey for SP500 series phones?

Is it possible to make a softkey that my users can press during an active call that will prompt them to put in an extension, prepends a *96 to the extension, and then does a blind transfer to that number?

bump.
I'm open to any crazy ideas. Or a different way to implement my feature. Anything so that my users don't have to use a feature code to transfer people directly to voicemail.

  • HeadSets for SPA500 Series Phones

    Hello,
What recomendataions do people have when it comes to headsets for the SPA series?
Ideally we would like them that connect to the headphone jack on the phone.

    Hi,
There is headset information in this post. The docs are older and do not mention the SPA5XX series, but the headsets are the same for the SPA models.

  • Search program for E-series phone (E61)

    Hi,
I had the Nokia Search program until a while ago when it somehow refused to do anything without an internet connection. I used it mainly to search through my contacts by details other than name. Actually, that is all I´m looking for now - if I want to look for anything online, I can use the browser - I rarely do that on my mobile anyway - and I don´t have that much stuff on my memory card, so I don´t need a search program to find what I need.
So, all I want to do is to be able to search for contacts by any details that are not in the contact name like
    - address
    - company
Can anybody point me to a good search program to use for that purpose?
    Thanks a lot!

    * ecosia, the eco-friendly search engine (powered by Yahoo/Bing/WWF);
    * Searching for pics online? Try ecocho.eu or treehoo.com

    Hi mgoksoy,
    1) Through the ranking system here, you can become a wise man just by asking a lot of questions, so don´t assume I´m a mobile expert
    2) There is no built-in search function in the E61, so I had a "third-party app" - albeit from Nokia - to start with. It just keeps asking for an internet connection and if I say No to its connection request, it just quits, it won´t search the local content anymore.
    3) Since the problem has nothing to do with my phone memory being messy, but with the app just refusing to search anything without being online, I don´t see how a hard reset would help matters.

  • Slim pdf reader for E-series phones (E61)

    Hi,
can anyone point me to a pdf viewer that´s a bit slimmer than Adobe´s Acrobat Reader? I need a pdf viewer on my mobile again, but that one used to really clog up memory and make for slow going.
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi gourabmitra,
I tried to achieve this same goal some years ago, but had to stop because PDF files were usually bigger than available heap size on Java ME Virtual Machines.
My first try was to port iText (itextpdf.com) from Java SE to ME and then use it on my app.
This took longer than what I wanted so I gave up. :(
But then I created a simple txt reader (for UTF-8 encoding) and made it freely available at getjar.com/books (no ads).

  • Phone calls go directly to voicemail when Im listening to mp3 player with headset.

I was under the impression that if I was listening to my media player on my Blackberry 8120 with the headset that came with it, that I would be interupted if someone called. I tested this out the other day and my call went directly to voicemail. Is there a setting that will change this? I checked everywhere I knew to check on the phone and couldnt come up with anything.
Also, not that it matters that much but my cell phone led blinks 3 different colors. Red, Green and Blue. I have no clue what the difference is, can any one help a blackberry nub?
    Thanks
    Jason
    Solved!

What profile is your device set on?
For the second question, the device blinks red if there is an unread message or notification; green is when there is an active network connection; and blue is when a bluetooth device is connected.

  • Why is visual voicemail free for iPhone but not for other phones?

I recently activated an iPhone on my line -- temporarily -- and found that visual voicemail was included and didn't cost a dime. Can anyone explain why visual voicemail is free for iPhones but if you want it for any other phone it bears a monthly charge?

Also VVM is also free for everyone. The $2.99 is for the premium version. You can search the FAQ and there's a pricing list and shows what you get.

  • HT201269 I have lost my iPhone 3GS. It was backed up to my computer using iTunes. I now have a new iPhone 4 series from a friend. How can I restore the backup information for my previous phone to the new phone?

I have lost my iphone 3GS. It was backed up to my macbook pro using itunes. I now have a new iphone series 4 (china model). How can I access the backup information for my old phone and put it on my new one?

Thank you again for all of your help!! I really appreciate it!
I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.
Thank you for letting me know about my contacts! How do I know if I have the contacts app?
Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(
How can I sync using USB? Right now when i click on the info tab for my iPhone in my iTunes this is the answer that I get -- I am a little unclear as to what it means.

Your contacts are being synced with you iPhone over the air from iCloud. Over-the-air sync settings can be changed on you iPhone

I have been having issues with not receiving texts and voicemails daily, for a few months now. If I turn the phone completely off, when I turn it back on the messages will flood in from hours before. I can't be continually turning off my phone in case someone left me a message. How do I resolve this issue?

Wifi:  my Cell phone will remember 10 wifi connections.  So delete any you don't use often and your home wifi and try to enter home wifi again.
if it still won't connect to home wifi, call your internet provider for help.  You may need a newer router or different settings Or upgraded service.   Your phone seeks the best connection and will refuse lesser connections.
last resort.  Backup the phone.  Do a full reset, then restore as new with the backup.
if still not fixed, go back to apple and insist on repair or replacement.
HOWEVER.   voicemail is not a wifi issue, it's a carrier function, which is why the SIM card is a suspect.

I call my wife's cell phone (verizon - Iphone) from my Iphone 5s (AT&T) it goes directly to voicemail. I literally call right back and it rings through. This does not happen to anyone else I call or to anyone else who calls my wife.

  • Phone calls and voicemails meant for someone else.

Ever since I signed up for skype phone number I've been getting phone calls and voicemails meant for someone else. At first I thought that person probably use to have my current phone number but when I called back the most frequent caller, she said she's been dialing a number that doesn't match mine. So why am I getting her calls on my Skype number. And it's not just from her, I get calls from a lot of people trying to call someone else. It's so annoying. I don't even keep my Skype logged in on my mobile and I am missing calls meant for me and those calls was the whole point of having skype in the first place.

you can contact the customer support and request to unlink your email address from that unknown account:

  • E-series phones for 4G-networks?

    Hi.
Did anyone see any information on any 4G-handsets that can be used as phone and modem in the 4G-networks in europe (just like most E-series phones)?
Basically i am looking for a phone similar to E72 but capable not only of GSM and 3G but also 4G (at the moment on 2,6GHz).

Nokia does not have any current models with 4G and has not yet announced any upcoming models with 4G support.
The chances of Nokia releasing a 4G model this year are very slim.
So all you can do for now is keep waiting and keep checking nokia's blog for new product announcements.

I have an iPhone 4s and have set up with my provider for voicemail. however, when called my phone does not switch to voicemail. How do I set the phone to transfer to voicemail when not answered etc?

Voicemail is a carrier feature, not a phone feature. This has to be fixed by your carrier, so contact them, as obviously, voicemail is not properly provisioned on your account.

  • Calls go directly to voicemail...

Calls are not coming through...Calls go directly to voicemail; the phone doesn't ring. How can I reset the phone so that calls activate the ringtone and not go directly to voicemail?

There seems to be a big problem, 6 other forum threads for this same issue.
See if the suggestion at the bottom of the following thread helps:
    https://forums.att.com/t5/Android/Can-t-make-calls/m-p/4288003#M61812
Also, you can try to contact ATT (or maybe an ATT store?) and ask them to turn off HD Voice for your account.  I have a feeling this (their deployment of Voice over LTE ) is screwing up voice calls.  I was going to type "call ATT" but I can see how that can be an issue (for folks that can't make calls)!

  • After my last update, my iphone 5 doesn't ring when a call comes in, it goes directly to voicemail

I just installed the latest update to my iPhone 5 and now all my calls go directly to voicemail.  Help needed.

    Hello LoisJane,
It sounds like your phone is sending calls directly to voicemail and will not ring. It seems to me that Do Not Disturb may be enabled. Take a look at this info about how to set that up:
    iOS: Using Do Not Disturb
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5463
You can use the Do Not Disturb setting to silence calls, alerts, and notifications.
To enable, tap Settings > Do Not Disturb. When Do Not Disturb is on, a "moon" icon will appear in the status bar.
To make changes to your Do Not Disturb settings, tap Settings > Do Not Disturb.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • How do I send a call directly to voicemail every time a specific number calls me?

I want to be able to have voicemail directly intercept calls from one specific number and I can't figure out how to do this. It was super simple on my old Android phone. You simply selected which numbers you wanted to add to your blocked call list and they went directly to voicemail. How can I do this on my iPhone?

There is no blocked call listing for the iPhone. True call blocking is only handled at the carrier level. Even as you describe the Android solution sends the call to voicemail, not actually blocking it. Check with your carrier and see if they provide blocking services. Most charge a fee for this service. A workaround similar to what you describe for the Andriod phone is setting a custom silent ringtone for the selected contact and thus you would not notice the phone ringing and the call would go to voicemail without any input from you. The only other solution is to press the sleep/wake button and that silences the ring and the call will go to voicemail, or press it twice and it goes straight to voicemail.
