Direct TV Website Problems

Im having problems loading http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/index.jsp
This website will not completely load I have done a complete os reinstall from scratch up to 10.5.8,
Sarfari 4 will not load this sight completely and none of the links on the sight work including the login.
The loading icon in the url bar just sits there and loads but nothing happens. I have reinstalled flash, shockwave and repaired permissions till im blue in the face. and nothing works. I also at times find that safari 4.0.3 wont load apples sight http://www.apple.com/
It just refuses to. This inconsistent loading of pages is extremely frustrating. To say the least none of the fixes here on this page have made a bit of difference. Can someone from apple please step up to the plate and make a comment on what to do to fix this mess. I have always been a huge fan of safari right up untill 4 got pushed onto me. I like the interface but it seems that the engine is very unstable to say the least.
Please fix this

The page has so much junk on it I'm surprise it works.
How did Safari 4 get pushed on you? Please explain, I don't understand. I know before hand what the updates are before I click the OK button.

I recently purchased an iPhone 4S however I am not able to play videos directly from websites like metacafe.com and all others. Whereas few of my friends who bought iPhone 4S / 5 (factory unlocked) versions can very well play videos from all websites. Whenever they browse videos, it start streaming on their phones and stArt playing in QuickTime player. What is the reason of this behavior, is there something missing in my iPhone?

Wyy won't firefox take me DIRECTLY to website? Instead it takes me to the yahoo search results and I have to click on the site. Very frustrating. Any ideas on how to change?

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

Ultimate package with At&t vs Direct Tv website channel lineup - Comcast Sports Net

I am thinking of canceling comcast cable and bundling with At&t with Direct TV. I was told by At&t that the ultimate package with At&t bundled direct tv does not include CSN (Comcast sports net - Chicago), however on the Direct Tv website it lists CSN as one of the available channels in the Ultimate package. Does the ultimate package with At&t include CSN?

Awesome Bar / Browser Problem. Won't let me type in keywords to send directly to website...

I used to be able to type in keywords into the awesome bar, like "tom brady wiki" and press enter. Firefox would then send me straigh to tom brady's wikipedia page. Now it sends me to google when ever i type in keywords into the browser.
I just want things back to the way it was. Like I could type in "tom hanks imdb" into the browser and firefox would send me DIRECTLY to tom hanks' imdb page. PLEASE HELP.

Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/ApplicationCache.db
Move the ApplicationCache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Restart your PowerBook, try Safari.
If that didn't help, from your Safari menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari
Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset. Quit then relaunch Safari to test.
~ (Tilde) character represents the Home folder.
It's not a malware or virus issue...

Flash website problem / jpg in xml does not show in different browsers

Hello Everyone,
I am working on a flash website which is almost finished.
My problem is that I created dynamic loading content, so the contents in the flash ( Most of them) loads from .xml files. This xml contains text and jpg.
when i test the movie and final html it works perfectly and xml loads with all its contents in any browser.
but when I upload the website through FTP, the xml shows very strange ! . In IE only half of the jpgs loads and some content repeat itself, while in firefox none of the jpg loads.
The only images I can see are the one that I have directly put on the flash pages.
Does anyone knows a solution? I am desperatly trying to figure this out!!

I could figure the problem just right now. so Easy!!
I just changed the slash es in xml . So if the original one was : "thumbnail\my.jpg " I chanegd the slash forward "thumbnail/my.jpg". I also put the xml file, my images and swf. file in the same folder.
I tried it and it worked in firefox, google chrome and IE.

I Have Problem in How to determination the Direction And the neighbor For polygon As in the picture.

From north : polygon with object Id=.....
From south : streets with object Id=.....
From east :streets with object Id=.....
From west : polygon with object Id=.....
I have Started and I Identified the Directions I get line of land with line 29 meters is the North
and line with 25.4 is south ......
Now how I can Determination the border of land ?

Some real data (ie the sdo_geometry of the polygon in the image) would be useful.
The main issue here is not so much the writing of the bearings and distances against the line segments,
but determining which segments should be so labelled.
I have dealt with the basics of extracting and marking polygon segments in in articles like this http://www.spatialdbadvisor.com/oracle_spatial_tips_tricks/74/spatial-pipelining before.
But this is roughly how I would go about removing those shared boundary segments so that I only had those segments that front a street:

In short you:
1. Take the base polygon;
2. Break it into 2 vertex segments;
3. Use each segment to find a polygon in the original table it lies on;
4. Ensure that the found polygon is not the same as the source of the segments;
5. Generate the bearing and distance.

WRT54G Website Problems

Help! I am having problems connecting to certain websites using the WRT54G Router ([ver. 8] [Firmware ver. 8.00.2).
Most websites I go to work but a select few show up as page cannot be displayed. I checked my security settings in IE and they are fine, and I also pinged the site I cannot connect to and got the MTU in CMD and adjusted the MTU on the config page accordingly but that doesn't work either. To confirm that the problem is with the router, I checked with a freind to go to the same site that I am having problems with and he said the site is up and running. Can anyone help me?

Download firmware from www.linksys.com/download and reflash it even if it is same version
Now reset it for one minute, and reboot it
Now do this:
Connect computer to router directly on port 1 and modem on internet port
Open setup page of router by typing http://192.168.1.1 in browser's address bar, and typing password as "admin" and no user name.
Here enable MTU and set size to 1300, save settings
Goto MAC address clone subtab at top, enable it and Clone your PC's MAC, and save settings
Go to security tab, and disable block anonymous internet requests, save settings
Now power cycle modem and router.

Directed to website instead of Podcast Directory

Hi, When I click on the arrow beside some podcast titles I'm taken to the podcast directory and can then download any recent episodes that I might want. But in most cases a new window opens and I'm directed to the website of the podcast provider.
I've recently updated to a new version of itunes, and the previous version always directed to the podcast directory which is much more convenient. Anybody have any ideas how to solve this?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

There is no license or serial number for the DVD installer.
If you can get access to a Mac with a working DVD Drive, make the DVD into a .dmg file in Disk Utility and then copy the .dmg file onto a USB key and install onto your Mac from that.

Uploading flash website problem

I made a website in flash and everything is working fine in
the files. When I tested the site on my computer everything was
working just the way it should. However when I finally uploaded it
to my server not everything worked. I had 3 galleries that wont
load, videos that start playing automaticlly( I have them stopped
until the user hits play) and a music player that works great
except one song does not play. I am so confused as to what is
happening I do not even know how to fix it. I have tried loading
the site to 2 different servers and the same problem happens on
both, my files work fine, just not on the internet. Has this happen
to anyone and more importantly do you know how to fix it? I really
need to get this site up soon and I don't know what to do.
Any suggest would be greatly appreciated.

Issues like these are usually something very simple, just not
always obvious.

I assume you are loading these externally into your main
movie?
If so, are you using actionscript which references the _root
timeline?
If you are, try to add:
this._lockroot = true;
on the first frame on the _root timeline of each movie. See
if this helps!
Another issue would be that the server might not allow script
access from Active content...but you have uploaded to 3 different
servers, it's hard to believe none of them allow it.
maybe its worth looking into?
Try that, and see how it goes. if you are still having
problems, post a link to the site, and i'm sure we will find a
solution.

BUG REPORT: iPad Safari glitch and Fedex' website problem? HELP!!!!

Okay, I've discovered a weird bug and I don't know how to fix it, but you should definitely check this one out so you don't get the same problem...
I recommend you DON'T try following this on your iPad, otherwise you'll also experience the error, and I haven't found a way to fix it yet.
Process:
On iPad Mail I received a message from Apple's store detailing my iPad hard case has shipped via Fedex. I tapped the tracking link inside to view the tracking information. Fedex' site launches in the iPad Safari app, the URL directs me to the usual shipping status page, but then a dialog box pops up saying www.fedex.com "Framework Not Found!" with an "OK" prompt button.
Problem:
The button cannot be tapped. The modal dialog box therefore refuses to disappear allowing access to any other part of the Safari app. In effect, Safari is now useless.
I can launch different URLs from Mail and the page in the background updates, but none of the interfacial buttons, swiping with fingers or any other means of using Safari now works. What I need is a way to force-quit Safari.
Anyone?

Server 4.0.3 website problems

Ever since I installed Server 4.0.3, all of my virtual domains were wiped out. When I recreate them, it goes to the default Apache "It Works!" page rather than the directory I specify in the GUI config. Additionally, it is doing this for the Server Website entry as well, both http and https.
I'm not 100% sure what caused this behavior, Server 4.0.3 seemed to install correctly. I tried using the http.conf from the 4.0.2 build, and it caused an error on a php lib that IS on the server itself.
I am at a loss, and I REALLY don't want to have to start the server over from scratch. If anyone has any idea what direction I can start looking in to resolve this it would be most appreciated.

without more information, i would advise you make sure you're editing the right httpd.conf files. if you're running sever's web server and not the builtin, you'll want to be editing the config file in /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/etc/apache2/ and not /etc/apache2 ... that one has bitten me before...
