Direct Upgrade to 12.0.4

Hi Vikki
Does Maintenance wizard support a direct upgrade to 12.0.4 (i.e. bypass the upgrade to 12.0 and then the application of the RUP 4maintenance pack)?
Thanks
Frank

The 2.10 version of the Maintenance Wizard (which will be released this week), will upgrade directly from 11.5.8+ to 12.0.4.

  • Installation cannot directly upgrade the version of iPod software found

As best I can tell this question was asked but not answered:
Msg. installing iTunes 7.X reads: "The installation cannot directly upgrade the version of iPod software found on this computer. Please uninstall the iPod software and try again." All references to iPod, iTunes, QuickTime removed from Add/Remove, C:Program Files and recycle bin. Got rid of same with Window Cleanup Installer utility whe add/remove did not work.
So,nothing to uninstall? Can't buy a new iPod since can't load iTunes 7.x and Apple loses sale (and me music)
Can load iTunes 6.X fine without a problem.
    Thank you.

    Okay.
Let's try getting an iTunes 7 installer log to the Apple Engineers for a look.
    1. Open a command prompt window. (Start menu -> Run. Type in "cmd". Hit return.)
    2. Drag and drop iTunesSetup.exe onto the window so that the full pathname of the file is at the command line prompt.
    3. Type in a space, then the following line:
    /l*v C:\log.txt
    4. Hit return.
    5. The installer will create a log file:
    C:\log.txt
Find that file and send it as an attachment to this email address.
in the email to Roy, be sure to include the following information:
    - A link to the thread on Apple Discussions where the issue is being discussed
    - The username you are using in the thread
    - The version of iTunes you are using or trying to use
    - the version of Windows you are using (mention service packs)
    - A concise description of the issue you are seeing
    - The exact text of the error message you are seeing

  • Installation cannot directly upgrade the version of ipod software?

everytime i run the itunes setup.. this is what comes out. the installation cannot directly upgrade the version of ipod software found on this computer. please uninstall the ipod software and try again.i have tried all the trouble shooting but it still wont install. please help.

the installation cannot directly upgrade the version of ipod software found on this computer.
go into your Add/Remove programs, and uninstall every entry you find in there called "ipod for windows [date]" or "ipod updater [date]".
if Add/Remove won't let you remove one of those, download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. use it to remove the installation configuration of any entries called "ipod for windows [date]" or "ipod updater [date]".
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
does an itunes install go through properly after that?

  • Can i directly upgrade ios 4.3 to ios 6?

so, i have this old iphone 4, running on 4.3.3, i was wondering if it could be directly upgraded to ios 6 without any problems?

Don't do it!  would be my advice.  If you read over some of the other questions, you will see that some of us have basically lost our phones.  They are frozen.  There is no help because Apple is too busy selling phones today to help us.  (Their message actually said that if you have a problem, you need to come into the store because they are not taking calls.  ((and you can imagine the madhouse there, right?)).
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.  I just don't want you to go through what some of the rest of are going through.

  • Direct Upgrade from 9.2.0.3 to 11.1.2.x

Has somebody already tried to upgrade HFM 9.2 directly to 11.1.2.x
    How? Does it work?
    thks a lot!
    regards,

    Hi Ludovic,
You have to be on 9.2.1 and then upgrade to 11.1.2.1
The source is available at edelivery.oracle.com
    After signing in
In the Media Pack Search Window
In the Select a Product Pack: Select Hyperion Performance Management and BI in the drop down menu
    Platform: Microsoft Windows (32 bit)
    Click Go
the results would be fetched and you should be able to view
Hyperion Performance Management and BI (9.2.1) Media Pack for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)
    Hope this helps,
    Thank you,

  • Direct Upgrade from 10.4.11 to 10.6 Using Mac OS X Snow Leopard Upgrade

Can I upgrade my MacBook (Intel Core 2 Duo) directly from Mac OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger) to 10.6 (Snow Leopard) using the retail upgrade version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard?

Apple's site says you need to install Leopard first, then upgrade to Snow Leopard.

CarlosIn the 11.2 Upgrade Guide, found at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10819/preup.htm#i1007814
Or simply go to tahiti.oracle.com, where you will find all of oracle's doc libraries. Drill down to your product and version. The you will find the complete doc set for that product/version, including installation and/or upgrade guides.

  • Cannot direct upgrade from Photoshop CS2 to CS5 Extended

Despite the information in various spots on Adobe's website, it appears that it's not possible to simply upgrade from Photoshop CS2 to CS5 Extended. After entering the CS5 serial number, the installer asks for the serial number of a "qualifying product". This includes a dropdown list that only has
    Photoshop CS5
    Photoshop CS4 Extended
    Photoshop CS3 Extended
    Here's the view:
Entering the CS2 serial number == fail.
A call to Adobe support get past this issue, basically reading out a challenge/response from the installer to the guy on the phone. But this seems remarkably stupid to me. Was it really more effective to force me (and anyone else following this upgrade path) to call tech support just to install the software I just past $350 for? And if this was the plan, why not SAY SO ON THE ADOBE WEBSITE?!?
Has anyone else run into this issue? If so, was calling tech support the only way out?

You are correct in wishing Adobe made it clear that you do need to go through Customer Service to accomplish this.
Most users make the purchase through Adobe and straighten this out before installing.

  • Can I directly upgrade from Leopard to Lion?

Or should I first upgrade to Snow Leopard?

Is one of you knowing an Apple link to this document :
    http://www.tuaw.com/2011/06/17/apple-outlines-lion-upgrade-path-for-business-and -education-cust/
Reading it, it seems that there is no hope to see Lion delivered on DVD.

To be the AW6 successor, iWork MUST integrate a TRUE DB, not a list organizer !

  • Can CRM4.0 be directly upgrade to CRM7.0?

    Please help, thanks!

I agree with Markus that you probably want to have SMP access http://service.sap.com if you are planning an upgrade.  If you are an SAP customer or partner then you should contact your local SMP administrator for an account.  The master guides and upgrade guides are very well written and can take care of most of the basic needs.
That whole windows 2008 vs 2003 issue is a nasty one dealing with memory management.  Technically even CRM 2007 customers need to move to windows 2008 due to memory management issues in windows 2003.  That reminds I need to talk to my basis folks about that issue again.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Is direct upgrade from 2.0 to 3.2 supported?

I couldn't find anything in the manuals about supported upgrade paths, so I gave the upgrade a go but @apexins failed with a whole load of errors (which I didn't capture :-()
Before I go back and pick the bits apart and try again, is it supported to go straight from 2.0 (HTML DB) to 3.2 (Application Express) or should I go via 3.0, or something? I was wondering if the errors are caused by the name change of schemas from HTMLDB_xxx to APEX_xxx.
    Thanks,
    Paul

Ignore that, I found the problem. I'd run out of space in a tablespace.
    Sorry for the noise.
    Paul.

      Windows XP
      Windows XP

I have experienced the same problem and am frustrated in not having found a fix yet. I've sent a message to iTunes since the inability to upgrade the iPod software affects my ability to play purchased music on my iPod. In other words, I can't do it now. if I hear back from iTunes on how to fix it, I'll let you know. Can you please do them same if you get an answer?
    Thanks
