Directions on how to make a podcast?
I looked at the following website at yahoo, but its not working for me.
Does the subscribe link need to include the path and the name of the xml file or does it need to just point to the folder the xml file resides in/

have you tried other links on google if you searhced there rather than yahoo. also have you check a bookstore on related books on how to create a podcast. last count i took at barnes and noble there was 12 just on creating podcasts. This forum really isnt meant for podcasts but for the ipod and technical questions related to it. I certainly think you can get beter advice adn better results doing a search on google for help on this.

Need direction on how to make motion graphics -AF CS5
I didn’t know how to word the header for my question so I’ll try to clarify it here. I’m new to AF so please bear with me. In the Adobe tutorial at the link below, he animates a flower. The flower is in front of a colored background and there are some added text that animate as well. I understand about layers but my question is, can I make a graphic like the one in the tutorial in Photoshop CS5 and import it into AF? I just ordered a copy of PS CS5 and have not gotten a chance to work with PS. When I searched the net about my question, I found many links describing how to make web graphics. Would I be making the same thing and saving them not as a web graphic? If I can make something similar to the flower in the tutorial, then I can go from there. I guess what is confusing for me is that the background and flower assets are mp4 (mpeg) video. Can someone point in the right direction for how to make a multiplayer game over the internet

I am looking into making a game where two people who can be in different places would log on to the app, log in and can play - i.e. they would be connected over the internet. I'm looking for a hint on what is the direction to take and which technologies.
For example is there a best practice for example if you make an app with DirectX and C++, and you use some kind of web service or something? or is it easier using C# and XNA? just looking for some pointers in the right direction. I have played around
with DirectX, far from proficient but have familiarity, I have no experience with XNA but hear it's less hardcore and easier going. I'm particularly interested in what the best way to connect over the internet.
ThanksWhat you are asking is very complicated and one of the more difficult things you can do in gaming. I'd strongly recommend you start smaller to learn and then move up to multi-player games as your skills grow.
From the multiplayer client perspective it doesn't really matter which technology you use. You can write a multiplayer game in any engine or technology that can talk to the network. Choose the client technology that you are most adept at and interested in
and learn it. You can go straight to DX, use a third party library such as Monogame (XNA isn't supported for Windows Store apps), or a complete game engine such as Unity. Once you can write a decent one-player game you'll have the foundation to start on to
build a two-player game.
At that point you'll need to define the problem much more specifically. As you state it, it is really wide open. How do you want the users to connect? Directly machine to machine? Matched through a web server but running client side? Connecting to a game
running on a remote server? Something else?
The network connection itself is probably fairly straightforward, but where to connect and how to manage that can be difficult. You'll have to decide what properties you want. Is this an action game where responsiveness is important or
a turn based game where timing is less relevant?
Are the players connecting locally or completely remotely? If the former then they can probably connect directly over the local network (NFC is great here). If the latter then they probably will need to connect to a matchmaker service to avoid firewalls.
This can get very complex, but there are existing solutions you can use rather than writing your own.

How to make non-podcast show up as podcast, and vice versa?
I downloaded a free preview video awhile back, a compilation of upcoming releases from a certain label. I'd like it to show up in podcasts, because it's more like a podcast than anything else, but instead, it shows up in the general music library. I tried changing its genre listing to "podcast," but it didn't work.
Also, how do I do it the other way around? There's a "song of the day" podcast which is, as its name implies, simply a new song every day. I'd like to have these songs show up in the regular library, rather than the podcast section. How do I accomplish this? Is it even possible?Never mind...I think I figured it out!

How to make a podcast with one still image with iMovie 09
I'm using trying to transfer my podcasts to Vimeo. I've been using iWeb to create a person web site with video and podcasts. I have embedded Vimeo with "html snippet widge." I want to do the same thing with audio, however Vimeo only accept "video" files.
In my attempt to work around Vimeo's video issues, I had the idea to use iMovie 09 to create a "video file" using a single still image with my audio podcast play in the background. The single image would be consistent for the entire length of the audio. It seems simple...one still image file and one audio file.
All of my audio files are less than 45 minutes in length. The problem is that when I insert an image in iMovie I can't get it to last for more than 10:00 minutes of my podcast. I've had to drag the same image over several times, extend each image's length to 10:00 minutes until I have enough images to last the full length of the audio file.
I'm sure there's a simple way to do this with one image, used one time, and have the audio added.

Put all your clips into a new iMovie project, in the order you wish them to play. Use the chapters tab and add chapter markers for each clip (except the first one; iDVD will add that one for you). Close iMovie.
Open an new iDVD project. Use the Media tab, then Movies, to locate your new iMovie. Drag and drop it onto the main iDVD window, taking care not to drop it into a drop zone. You should then see the title of your movie and the two options: Play Movie (which will play all the clips sequentiallly) and Scene Selection (which will take you to submenu(s) where you can select which clip to view). -

I don't how to make the podcast available in differen countries.Certainly it isn't available in the UK Store even if you remove the /ph (normally you can remove the country code and indeed the title and it will still work).
Normally podcasts seem to be generally available, at least if they are in English - what language is it in? It's possible that availablity is limited by language, but I'm afraid I don't know how this applies or whether there is anything you can do about it. -
When you register for a podcast, the list of past podacsts appears in the podcast. Sometime, ther's a ton of it. How to make them go?

How to make a CD Jacket and print out Song order directly from playlist
I was wondering if there was a way to make a CD Jacket with artwork from songs selected and also how to make a same size sheet to fit in the CD holder that has the exact song order and titles by printing out directly from your playlist.
I am not sure I worded that right but hopefully you will know what I mean.

ThanksThere is a pretty basic CD insert that you can print from iTunes, if I remember correctly it will print whatever artwork is attached to the first song in the playlist.
Open iTunes, highlight the playlist in question, go to File>Print and choose the CD Jewel Caser Insert radio button. Theres also a little Theme menu.
However you can get much more flexibility from a dedicated CD Cover program. I use Cover Star, it's inexpensive and makes good quality CD booklets, back covers and disc overlays. It will generated artwork for you or you can drag your own picture files to it. You can download a trial version from this link: http://autostylus.com/coverstar.html. It's fully functional apart from printing so you can play around with it and save the inserts until you decide if it's for you. Purchasing a license then releases the final function and anything you saved previously can be printed off. -

Hello everybody. I am a web designer (NOT a developer)
I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.
I have used phpform.org/ to custom build a submission form. Then I opened that html in dreamweaver (so that I could edit colors, fonts, and delete the phpform.org advetisement)
Now I need to link the 'submit button' so that it will e-mail me the completed form.
(formphp.org wants me to subscribe to a servie that I pay for in order to have the form e-mailed to myself.)
(after I get the submit button linked to an e-mail I will pull the html of my completed form into Muse- but I don't think that is really relevent)
I'm sure one of you can help point me in the right direction! I can't write my own code so detailed help is appreciated!

You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder. Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.
<form action="path/form-to-email-script.php" >
The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
I'm assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code. Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names. It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.
