[Director 12] Playback head not moving

So I heard about the release of Director 12 today, and immediately went and downloaded the trial to see if I could resurrect some old projects. (Mac version.)
I opened an old project, converted it to the new version, and pressed "Play". The playback head did not move.
After much fussing trying to get it to work, and a crash, I launched Director 12 fresh and created a simple test movie. I drew a squiggle in the image editor, dropped it on the stage, dragged it out to 20 frames, keyframed the last frame and dragged it. Scrubbing along the score shows it moving.
But if I press "play", it just sits on frame one. There are no scripts in the project. It's set to play at 30fps. It's set to loop.
After many attempts, I just can't get it to play back anything, even the most rudimentary of things.
Anyone know what might be going wrong?

Waveform / playback head not scrolling

I've installed Cs6 on Windows XP machine. No issues recording or playing back. But the visual waveform and the playback head do not scroll. In other words, from wherever the cursor / playhead is positioned, the audio starts but the playback head remains static in the place from which it started. I can scrub the window and hear audio / see the playback head moving. But, I can't get any visual scroll. Any ideas, assistance would be much appreciated.

HP 3520 All in One Printer. Print head not moving

Hello my Printer has a serious problem. The print head was slamming to the right side, and now it totally does not move. My printer may be past warrently or voided because it was opened up to clean up a bad ink spill inside at one point. It worked for awhile after. But now it is totally not doing anything. I had to remove the top to remove the cartridges. I do not see any obstruction inside the printer.
I know the cost of repairing it is probably more than replacing it. Posting here and seeing if someone can come up with some suggestions before the printer is disposed of.

Before you dispose the printer, I would like to suggest you take it to a nearby HP service center and see
if they can be of any help or service. It probably won't cost anything to have an engineer diagnose the problem

Print Heads not moving to the left even after holding * button

I did all the tricks to get the printheads to the left in order to replace them. I cannot get them to move. I know they work because the printer will print a b/w copy. Is there any other tricks? Even my MIS manager can't figure this out. HELP!!!!
I need to change the printheads.

I just moved my itunes library from a win 7 computer to a win 8.1 computer. Getting an error message "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly. Can't play CDs or get audio file from web!

Help! I just moved my itunes library from a Win 7 computer to a new Win 8.1 computer following the instructions on the itunes website. Everything is good except I'm getting an error message on the Win 8 computer if I try to play a CD or get an audio file off of the internet. I get an error message that says "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly. I don't know where to look for or fix the audio configuration on the win 8 computer. As far as I can tell the iTunes configuration looks the same as on the other computers in the house. At this point I don't dare plug my ipod touch into the Win 8 computer for fear it will get messed up.

I have the same problem and I know that it is due to my PCI Audio driver not being compatible with WIndows 8.1.
iTunes isn't the only program that can't direct sound to the built-in speakers anymore. The obvious solution would be to update the drivers, but unfortunately Dell does not provide an updated driver for my model, so I am stuck with that.
However, saying that, only my laptop speakers are affected by this. I can use sound fine on applications where I can choose the output device and direct sound to the head phones, but for some reason iTunes does not let you choose the audio device manually.
To listen to music I imported the iTunes Library in Windows Media Player and changed the audio output using the following instructions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/c00d11ba
However, I would also like to rent movie's from iTunes,
Would be great if iTunes would let you choose the output device, too, like most other applications using sound from Skype to Windows Media Player,...

Time Line Marker Not Moving in Playback

New to Premiere Elements 10
After I put video clips on time line then edit the clips adding titles and transitions the time line marker won't move when I play back video clips.
Video monitor shows video playing but red time lime marker is not moving on time line.
I know I clicked on the wrong button somewhere but I don't know where to look.
The Help has a lot of info about the the Time Line but I can't find anything about its movment.

Is it possible to disable the mouse automatically scrolling the video playback head?

Previous versions of iMovie allowed me to move the mouse without moving the playback head. Doesn't appear possible in '11. Can it be toggled?

No. If I run the mouse over a video in iMovie, the video automatically scrolls along with the mouse. The audio skimming function (if on) allows me to hear the audio along with the video as it scrolls - a useful feature, but not what I'm trying to fix.
What I'd like to be able to do is turn all of that off so that the only way to play a video is to start it with the space bar.
As it is now, if I select a spot where I'd like to place a marker or split a video, I have to move the mouse in order to initiate the command that I want. But the moment I move the mouse to go to a menu, the video moves to a different place, making the edit more difficult.
iMovieHD ('08) did not have the scrolling function, and while I appreciate the usefulness of having it, I'm struggling with being unable to turn it off. I could play a video to the point where I wanted to edit it, fine tune the playback head location and perform the edit without so much as touching the mouse.
It's not that I'm incapable of doing what I need to do with iMovie the way it is. It just seems a bit tougher to accomplish these things with the scrolling when I don't want it to. Seems like it should be a Preferences setting or something. But I can't find it.

You can enable mouse movement during full screen playback by heading to Preferences/Slideshow/"show pointer when mouse moves"; or press the "c" key to show/hide the cursor

HTML Tags not moved in PDF

Hello,
I would like to print a report as a PDF and use the BI Publisher.
This functions so far also quite well, only I have the problem
I pass a HTML formatted text from a field CLob
and with the PDF output the HTML tags are not moved.
In the PDF document the HTML tags stands instead of a formatted heading,
e.g.
<*h1> This is the heading <*/h1> (without stars)
What I must set / make with it I also a formatted one
Heading agrees?
Somebody an idea?

True - a PDF isn't going to support HTML encoding. HTML will just be seen as more text, and displayed that way.
You can strip out HTML tags fairly easily with a regular expression in your query SQL - this simply looks for text between < and > characters, and removes it. That should work for basic HTML formatting tags, but it isn't 100% (it won't handle <script> blocks correctly, for instance).
select regexp_replace(myHTML, '<[^>]*>', '') as myText
from myTable... Implementing a method to convert the HTML formatting into RTF formatting is also possible, but not a trivial task - you'd effectively have to replace each HTML tag with an RTF equivalent -- eg, replace <H1> with the RTF code to make a larger font, replace </H1> with RTF code to return the font to normal... etc...

SXMB_MONI: Message not moving

Hi,
I am doing a mail attachment to file scenario.
I have configured everything including CC. Now, the data is successfully getting picked from Mail and is visible in SXMB_MOni in Inbound Message ( CENTRAL ) --> Payloads but the message is not moving forward. Also, in RWB this CC is showing processing completed.
Please sugest what can be the reason and if any more steps are required.

Playback head.

I did something to change the playback head in LP8. When I hit the spacebar, playback starts one bar prior to my highlighted 'green' section.
In my other projects, the spacebar starts playback in the highlighted 'green' section.
Where do I fix this?

Sounds more like a corrupted project to me. I had this happen from time to time. The only fix I found was to alter the Song's starting point from 0 1 1 1 to 1 1 1 1. Evr since then I will not let projects start befor 1 1 1 1 because this somettimes causes this faulty behaviour. So in case your song does not start at 1 1 1 1 try my suggestion and report back if that helped.

Playback head won't move - no error

Hey guys, I don't really know how to describe this problem but I'm going to give it a try. I am working in Flash cs3 using as3. I have a project with 5 scenes and button nav to jump between them. When I test the project scene 1-4 play fine however when I get to scene 5 the playback head doesn't move, it just stays parked on frame 1 (button nav works, animation does not). When I re-arrange the stacking order of my scenes the same problem will occur in a different scene that had previously played fine. This issue only occurs when i test the whole movie - if I test any scene by itself it plays fine. I am not getting any AS errors which adds to the frustration. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think this is the problem, when I change the scene stacking order it causes the same problem in a different scene. The strange thing is if I delete one of the larger scenes before the scene 5 it will then play fine. It's a fairly large file, are there any ram limitations that might cause an issue like this?

The Playhead is not moving

I'm editing a multi-cam clip and the playhead is not moving. The video is playing back and the play head updates at the correct location when I pause. As a temporary fix I need to restart the application. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there a permanent fix?

Your machine, as indicated in your sig, may not be up to doing multiclip, and you have not indicated anything else that ouwld help us help you. What format arethese clips and how many of them are there? Are you using your internal drive? Were they converted to a lower demand codec before trying multiclip? Has it ever worked for you in the past?
Try a new multiclip setup using only two clips.

Header not getting displayed in the next page in the second table

Dear Experts ,
I have a query regarding Header not getting displayed in the next page in the second table of the main window. .Let me elobrate the issue.
I have a smartform in which there are 2 tables TABLE 1 and TABLE 2 in the smartform MAIN window. TABLE 1 is for pending PO and TABLE 2 is for future delivery date P O separated by text in between.
Now the header for both the tables and the data are getting displayed properly if the total output is in only one page. But If there are more entries in the TABLE 1 the Header for the TABLE 2 is not getting displayed. Header for TABLE 1 yet gets displayed properly in the next page in case of more entries.
Only issue is that Header for TABLE 2 is not getting displayed in second page but it gets displayed if the entries are less in TABLE 1 and the total output is in one page .
Please provide a elobrate solution on this problem as the requirement is urgent.

you need to cteate two pages FIRST and NEXT.
in first page --> FIRST
next --> NEXT
in next page
page---> NEXT
next ---> NEXT.
you copy the first page main window is the same in next page

Expanding text fields not moving next fields down the page

I have a multi-page form with several comment boxes that I want to be expandable (if needed). I've managed to get them to expand, but the fields following the field that is expanding dynamically are not bumping down the page. I've gone through and read about different things to try and use (flowed, western, expand to fit, etc), but the fields following the expanding fields are not moving.
I can send the form I am using to anyone who has a suggestion. I am confused with the hierarchy and where stuff needs to go in order to work correctly.

Hi, it is highly recommended that you create subforms in your form. By creating parts in your form you should create subforms for each of those parts. For the textfield you are trying to make it expandable and flowable to the next page, you must make every of its parents flowed. Your main page is actually set to positioned, even if your subform containing the textfield is flowed, if each of its parents are set to flowed it should work, otherwise it will not flow to next page.
If you set your page to flowed, it will reposition each of your fields because it is not in subforms. Make sure to create subforms for each parts, putting all fields in subforms. If you set your main page to flowed without creating subforms, all of your fields will be redesigned to be aligned left with the hierarchy order.
