Director MX 2004: Cursor Error

I have a project that has many text fields to each page. Most
of the cursors work in the text box. Some do not. I cannot see the
cursor, therefore I cannot see what position the cursor is in so I
can edit the field. Does anyone know of this issue.
Please help!
TonyB

You need to have a #text member (or sprite) selected first.
Then, look
at the Property Inspector and make sure you are in list
view... there
are a bunch of tabs... Sprite, Behavior, Member, TEXT, 3d
Extruder,
Movie. If you do not have those tabs, then you are not
looking at a
#text object. Perhaps you are using a #field? Or perhaps one
of the
#flashComponents?
Click on the Text tab. That is where these options are.

  • "Invalid Cursor" Error in Form

    Hi,
    I wrote a procedure that take a REF CURSOR as an IN OUT argument. This procedure does an "OPEN cursor FOR qry" with a dynamic query:
    OPEN l_cursor FOR
           'SELECT A '||
             'FROM B '||
            'WHERE C = :l_var'
         USING myVar;After calling the procedure, I do a LOOP with FETCH.
    It works well when I use it in SQL*Plus with DBMS_OUTPUT but it returns a "ORA-01001 invalid cursor" error in Forms.
    Any help is welcome!

  • Installing Win 7 via Bootcamp on 27' iMac 2010 gives BLACK screen, BLINKING cursor error (BSBCE)?

    Hi All,
    All coments appreciated regarding thiis issue.
    I have a 2010 27' i7 2.93Ghz iMac with 8Gb ram, 2Tb Seagate, and 256 Samsung SSD.
    I am running 10.6.8 with all updates on the 2Tb Seagate (has BC 3.04), and 10.7.1 on the Samsung (has BC 4.0).
    I have tried over a dozen times to install Win 7 (both a 32 bit Professional edition and a 64 bit Ultimate edition) on BC partitions on both drives. These have been all on separate occasions of course.
    All installs result in what appears to be a successful install, but when the machine reboots to launch Win 7 for the first time, I ALWAYS get a black screen with a blinking cursor error (BSBCE).
    This is not the 2009 video card driver issue problem reported so widely and referred to in the Apple article TS3173. I had that model previously and the way around that was to connect a second monitor/LCD for the installation.
    No this is a new and separate issue.
    And I am no nubie. I have used IT for over 25 years and teach networking courses in the Win and Mac environments.
    The problem appears to be in a corrupt boot loader install.
    I have used both WIn 7 install disks to do a repair each time. The repair says it is successful but after rebooting all I get is the black screen and flashing cursor, with no keyboard response. I have used both Bluetooth keyboards and USB keyboards. Nothing seems to make a difference re getting WIn 7 to boot after the install on either drive.
    I have also used the Bootrec commands in the command window. They all return a successful outcome but when rebooting I see the ever familar BSBCE.
    Now,,,,,here is the real puzzle. I copied my previous Win 7 Ultimate install using Winclone before I sold my older 27' iMac.
    If I restore that install to the 2010 iMac Win 7 boots fine!
    So some error is happening on my current machine when the bootloader/bootmanager is being written to the BC partition.
    The problem is there with the BC on both 10.6 and 10.7, and these are different versions of BC!
    Now to further complicate the problem, I manage 12X 2011 21.5' iMacs in a lab at work. Win 7 Professional 32bit installed on these machines just as it should (same disks that produces the black screen flashing cursor).
    I have read that some people thing it is a Boot Rom version issue, and there may be some substance to this as WIN 7 installs so easily on the 2011 iMacs in my lab.
    I called Applecare about this and went through the procedures outlined above. The guy was very helpful and sympathetic but he had no answer to the problem. His suggestion was to pull the SSD out and do it again with only one drive. As the machine can ship from Apple with both of these drives I really do doubt that pulling the SSD would make a difference.
    Mac OS 10.6 and 10.7 work fine, no problems on both drives, so I don't think it is a drive issue.
    OK Mac gurus...over to you.

    I have a bookmark for iMac w/ SSD and hard drive.
    There is also the 'req'd reading' in http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp
    with one article on Black screen w/ iMac 2010.

  • Director mx 2004 won't display Flash 8 swf files & other Flash media

    I have created a Flash 8 Project which has audio, video (which are converted to swf files fom flvs), flashpaper.  This application is driven by XML.
    However  this application works fine outside director, but when I import the main swf file into director mx 2004 and RUN it, director won't display the videos (but I can hear the audio from the videos), Director wont show graphic images(eg menu icon movie buttons, and flash buttons). Also I can launch external files (eg text file) from flash, but again it won't work via director.
    ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE

    ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE
    I suggest there's no need to shout.
    Try linking the Director cast member to the external swf file instead of fully importing it. You also should have the 10.1.1 update in place - this is particularly important.

  • Installing Director 11 and Director MX 2004 (10)

    On a new PC, I installed Adobe Director 11 and several other
    parts of the Master Collection CS3. Due to problems with some
    extras that don't run with Director 11, I have to install also
    Director MX 2004 (10).
    After installing this version, the program can be started,
    but it exits without any warning after about 15 secs.
    Then, I tried to uninstall Director 11. A messages told me to
    'deactivate' the program first. This process failed. I still
    uninstalled the program and reinstalled Director MX 2004. No
    change, it still won't work.
    Does anyone had similar problems? Any suggestion on how to
    solve this? All help is appreciated.

    Fast answer: no! (utf8 and other file/byteorder-specific
    reasons)

  • Where can I buy Director MX 2004

    I am looking into buying a copy of Director, but I want to
    buy Director MX 2004.
    I am hoping that since Director 11 is out, MX 2004 should be
    (a lot) cheaper, which is good being that since I am a student, I
    can't afford the full price.
    Does anyone know where I can maybe get it, or does anyone

  • Invalid Cursor error when modifying Assignment details - Transfer workflow

    Hi,
    We're trying to submit a Transfer transaction but if we try to modify any field in the Assignment details screen, we're getting a system error, and sometimes we see ORA-01001: invalid cursor error. We have already checked the database objects (procedures, packages, triggers) and we don't see any code which has an invalid use of a cursor. Does anyone have a clue on the cause of this error?

    This is just a guess,
    all you cursors are being opened regardless of any condition, for example;
    OPEN CUT(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO);
    OPEN DET(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO);
    OPEN ITM(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO);
    OPEN LOT(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO);
    OPEN DTN(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO, :NEW.CUT_NO, :NEW.NOTE);UNA however is opened after a condition;
    IF DTN%NOTFOUND THEN
      /** start --added for cha 2011-3172 6/14/2011 **/
          OPEN UNA(:NEW.LAYOUT_NO, :NEW.ACCOUNT_NO);All cursors arel however closed regardless, i.e. they are all assumes to be open;
      CLOSE CUT;
      CLOSE DET;
      CLOSE DTN;
      CLOSE ITM;
      CLOSE LOT;
      CLOSE STAT;
      CLOSE UNA;So I think you are closing the UNA cursors wen it is in fact not open.
    So, move the "CLOSE UNA;" line of code to before the END IF; on line 278, since that is when it will definitely be open.

  • Physics for Director MX 2004 10.1

    Here's the situation. I own Director MX 2004 10.1 and I need to do some physics stuff. I developed a nice simulation using Havok that works great in a projector, but it lost one critical functionality in Shockwave that I can't seem to resolve (collisions involving repositioned fixed rigid bodies act as if they were never moved). I know Havok is dead and Ageia PhysX is what I should be using, but I really don't want to upgrade to 11.5 just for Ageia. I was hoping to hold out until D12.
    Is it possible to get Ageia for Director 10.1?
    Are there any old Havok gurus out there thay know how to move a fixed rigid body and have it repond to collisions in the new location?
    Do I have to bite the bullet and buy D11.5?

    Maybe Dee McDee is my only salvation!
    I have not found anything about Physx and Director.
    I use 3D Max with Physx and I know how to export from Max with W3D and import it into Director.
    I don’t know what procedure to use to save the physical reactions.
    When I save in w3d I have no physical reaction only animations.
    Questions:
    1) How can I do to import and maintain the physical reactions in Director?
    I would, for example, bringing down a wall and then import it into Director.
    2) Really Havok doesn’t work in Director 11.5?
    I have imported an old movie made with Havok inside Director 11.5 and I make the projector and it works.
    Sorry for my bad English.
    I don't understand what do you means to "callback" in your previous message.
    Thank you very much for your attention.

    I'm a Director-developer on Windows
    Now I have to port some my projects on Mac

    I could Install Mac OS X Tiger 1.4.7 on it, but now I have a

    As I understand, Director was developed for Power PC
    Processors, and my Mac
    OS X runs at Intel
    From documentation I know, that such applications can be
    started under
    Rosetta emulator
    But I do now find that emulator on my system and can not
    start the
    installation
    Can any one help me with this?
    Is Rosetta supported on Tiger 1.4.7 and how can I made
    Director MX 2004 run
    on that system?
    Any help will be appreciated
    Sorry for my Incompetent questions, but I'm totally new on

    Thank you in advance for any answer

    Thank you Andrew
    I'm one step further, but still stucking
    I've installed Stuff expander, extracted installation files

    installed trial of macromedia director
    But then when I'm trying to start application per Icon

  • Director MX 2004 compatibility with Windows 64Bit

    Hello
    I'm buying a new desktop system and I was asked in the shop
    if I wanted windows xp with 32bit or 64bit. Yes, I opted for xp
    instead of Vista.
    I'm just wondering if Director MX 2004 is fully compatible
    with the 64bit version? Or, are there any issues I should be wary
    about.
    The guy in the shop recommended the 64bit since the RAM could
    be upgraded more.
    Any feedback appreciated. Sorry if this is not LINGO related.
    Andy

    HTML is HTML.  The product you use doesn't matter much except in terms of "ease of use" and quality of code it generates.  MX is a dinosaur.  Depending on how you built your sites with it, you may need to update your code to modern web standards.  But your site's code will remain editable in any version of DW.
    That said, a LOT has changed in 10 years.  So if you don't have really strong coding skills in HTML and CSS, you will struggle with newer versions of DW.  The interface is different, too, so it will take some adjustment.
    CS6 is the only version you can still purchase.

    Sans aucun problme, des sites mme trs
    complexe. J'en ai dj fait
    plusieurs (de plus ou moins bonne qualit)
    Il n'y a en fait que peu de diffrences avec un
    programme offline
    Il faut principalement se mfier de :
    - certaines fonctions, interdite en shockwave-safe (ie
    jou en online par le
    plugin shockwave). Il s'agit de protger l'utilisateur
    (pas d'accs disque
    par ex)
    - d'autres qui sont utiliser. Par exemple
    gotonetmovie(url) au lieu de go
    to movie "xxx"
    indpendant. Il utilise peu prs tout
    ce qui est faisable en sw :
    http://madoka.net.free.fr/indexb.html
    - un site dj plus complexe :
    http://madoka.net.free.fr/dos/
    (seul les
    tutoriaux
    fonctionnent.
    quelques bugs

  • Director MX 2004 ActiveX

    Hi
    Does anyone know a link to some documented help on how to use
    Director MX 2004 in AW7 ?
    There is mention of using an Active X is this the Shockwave
    ActiveX ? If so how do I use it to display Director movies?
    Help please I am on a trial and need to know if incorporating
    Director MX into AW7 works ok
    Thanks
    Kevin

    Yes, you need to use the Shockwave ActiveX control. This also
    means
    your target machines need the shockwave player installed
    also.
    You need to insert the ActiveX control and name it something
    unique.
    Then after the ActiveX on the flowline in a calc put :
    SetSpriteProperty(@"Director", #SRC,
    Filelocation^"directorfile.dcr")
    substitute @"Director" for whatever you called the icon.
    That should get you started.
