I just bought a 5g iPod touch and was wondering if there were any ihomes out or coming out soon that are compatible with this device. I know there are adapters and cables you can purchase to use with your existing ihome but read the poor reviews on them and was scared away. I use my ihome very regularly and need this accessory to work with my new iPod. If you have any information on this, please help!

iHome already makes docks that support the Lightning connector:

  • With the new ipad coming out soon, why should I buy the ipad 2?

with the new ipad coming out soon, why should I buy the ipad 2?

I can only echo what Pogo says about buying based on what it does today.
3 weeks ago I bought a Mac Mini. A new Mac Mini model has been rumoured to come out anywhere between the same week I made my purchase and the end of August. None's been released as yet.
I wanted one in the week of June that I bought mine so I bought it based on the fact that it did what I wanted and I couldn't imagine anything which could be added that I'd want - my MacBook Pro doesn't have Thunderbolt so the most likely addition isn't really going to be much use for me.
Basically you have to buy what you what based on what's out at the the time.
I can promise that within seconds of the iPad3 being released, the web will be full of rumours about the next one!

  • Are there any new Macbook pro laptops coming out soon?

Are there any new Macbook pro laptops coming out soon? Because if there are i will wait to buy one.

There are always new MacBook Pro models coming out soon. However with current 2011 models you can install the faster, Rosetta program loving OS X Snow Leopard with a hack, instead of the new clitchy and unstable OS X Lion.
So you have a choice now, but for not much longer. If you wait another 6 -8 months, Lion will be stable and more programs will be compatible with it.
If this is your first Mac, I would wait. If you can do a simple hack with another Snow Leopard Mac, then you can opt to get one now and revert it to Snow Leopard and have a stable machine.
Else take your chances with Lion.

  • Is the iphone 5 coming out soon ?

is the iphone 5 coming out soon ?

Earlier suggestions said that it wold come out late September/early October. But now that the date is getting closer more and more people are saying mid October. Now that it's already the end of the first week of September Mac Rumors stated that the mainly rumored date is October 21.
if you would like to keep up with iOS rumors and such you can always check out Mac Rumors, they are pretty helpful.

  • Any Newer OS coming out soon?

    Hello,
I have been running OS Leopard, and wanted to (obviously need to) upgrade my OS.  But before I spend the money (I'm a college student so every dollar counts), is there any new OS coming out soon (as in the next few months?).
    Thanks,
    Chelsey

  • Is there a replacement for CS6 coming out soon and what will it be called

Is there a replacement coming out for CS 6 and what will it be called

Adobe still sells CS6 (for now anyway).
    http://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/cs6._sl_id-contentfilter_sl_catalog_sl_software_sl_c reativesuite6.html
Click the Buy button then I want to buy: Upgrade. Then complete your purchase.
However, the days of upgrading every other version are gone. Before Adobe released the Cloud, starting with CS6, they amended the upgrade policy and were requiring upgrades with every version.
But that all disappeared soon after when Adobe chose to discontinue perpetually licensed versions altogether last year and go 100% Cloud (subscription) only when they launched CC. They're still selling CS6 for those who insist on it but it'll no doubt disappear over time and there will be no CS7 perpetually licensed version.
The future in Adobe's eyes without doubt is the Cloud, requiring monthly payments and automated periodic license checks on Adobe servers via the internet.

  • Are any radio/alarm clock docking stations with a lightning connector coming out soon?

I've had the iPhone 5 for a while now, and I've been waiting for a product like the iHome to come out with the lightning connector.  However, I haven't heard or seen any news about this.  Is anybody aware of any products coming out?

iHome already makes docks that support the Lightning connector:

  • Is 31.7 ESR coming out sooner than May 19, 2015?

Firefox calendar depicts 31.7 ESR coming out May 19 however it appears last few go around ESR was released earlier and earlier. We need to plan for ESR release. Please let me know if 31.7 is going to be released earlier. Thank you.

ESR is released every 6 weeks (same as the Firefox release schedule). It will come out May 12th I believe (that image is a bit out of date, follow https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases for the up to date schedule).
Remember that Firefox 31.7 ESR will only have security fixes, nothing else. You do need to start testing the Firefox 38 Beta though, because 31 ESR is about to be end of life and you will need to update to Firefox ESR 38.

  • Does anyone know if there will be a new version of iPad coming out soon?

I was going to order an iPad for Christmas. Was wondering if there will be a newer version out soon? Never fails I get something and a newer/better one comes out soon after.

    blondiejune wrote:
Apparently, I already know that, but wondered if anyone had heard of another new version coming up soon.
What do you mean by soon?  Tomorrow?  Next week?  Valentine's Day?
We're not supposed to speculate here, but if you look at some of the tech blogs, some analysts will share their views on this topic.

  • Is Logic 10 coming out soon?

A few years ago I was sent a questionaire on Logic Studio and what I liked and disliked about it. I was also asked about what improvements would I like to see in Logic Pro. I use Logic Pro 8 and I was sent this questionaire shortly after Logic Studio 9 hit the market. I skipped Logic Pro 9 because I was still using a dual proccessor G4 desktop Mac at the time. Logic Pro 9 need a newer computer to run. I'd like to know when and if Logic Pro 10 is coming out?
    Ron Boykin

Apple does not set public release dates.. so your guess is as good as ours.
Even if someone here did know thay can't say because of NDA's.
Logic 9.1.5 was released a couple of days ago if that means anything.

  • Will there be a smaller Ipad/e-reader coming out soon?

will there be a smaller Ipad coming soon, I need to get some e-readers for Christmas gifts and would like to get the Ipad only on a smaller scale..
    thanks for your help!!

Apple has not announced any such product as of yet, so your guess is as good as ours. Speculation and rumors aren't allowed in these forums, so we'll just have to wait and see.

  • Is there still a new MIDI standard coming out soon (MIDI 2.0)?

Hello, I was just wondering what the word on the supposed second coming of MIDI was. I seem to hear about it for a bit, and than hear nothing for a good while. I heard that it will be finalized within a year of MIDI's twenty year anniversary, which is coming up this year i think? Anyway, what am I missing here? Any gossip?
I am pondering this more as I am thinking about replacing some MIDI equipment. Should I wait to go all-out on the coolest stuff since a new MIDI standard would maybe (likely?) require all new gear to take advantage?
Also, even if "MIDI 2" is finalized very soon, about how long before we can expect good commercial products taking advantage of it?
And golly, "MIDI 2" aught to turn Logic on it's head requiring some heavy rewriting to keep up with the jones', huh?
    Thanks for your participation!

The MMA is working on HD-MIDI ("High Definition MIDI")

  • Lightroom 5.4RC coming out soon, I hope!

I very much want the new RAW conversion software for Fujifilm X-E2 (etc.) cameras and was told (by someone on Victoria Brampton's Forum) that, unlike other Adobe products which already have them, they won't be out on LR until 5.4RC.  Please tell me that won't be terribly long or that there will be another way to update the Fuji software as the Adobe RAW conversion badly needs improvement.
    Thanks!

    bob frost wrote:
Maybe it is going to be LR6beta that is coming soon, instead of LR5.4RC?  That could explain the delay.
    Bob Frost
    Maybe.
In order for "Edit in Adobe Photoshop" functionality to work fully in Lightroom, LR and ACR need to be in step.  Not sure what happens if ACR is ahead of LR (e.g. ACR 8.4 and LR 5.3).  Will Edit in... still work fully?  Perhaps we'll find out.
I think Adobe don't use "RC" and "beta" in industry-standard ways.
A beta release is usually feature-complete but potentially buggy.  Adobe Lightroom betas are often nowhere near feature-complete.
An RC is more usually "with potential to be a final product, which is ready to release unless significant bugs emerge", as Wikipedia puts it.  It doesn't take 5 1/2 weeks for that, and I suspect ACR 8.4 RC isn't quite that mature.

  • I currently have Snow Leopard.  Do I have to purchase Lion before I purchase Mountain Lion which will be coming out soon?

Do I have to purchase Lion before I can purchase Mountain Lion due out soon?

no one can answer this with 100% accuracy until the system requirements for 10.8 are officially released.  They can only guess, which is of no help.
