Directories button - missed/placed/received -- 7900 series phones.
Has anyone seen or created a script that can either erase the missed/placed/received calls in the directories button. Would still like access to the corporate directory but no call history presented on specific phones in public places. This is on a 7900 series phone.

It depends on the CCM release though.. you can only do that with CCM7 - for older releases, here's your chance to sell an upgrade ;)

Online waiting...That'll depend entirely on the model of your phone & the firmware running.
79X0 will support SSH, for example, when I load SIP firmware. I don't know if SCCP is allowed.
When you are able to SSH (only), you can do some show, debug, etc. mYou can also do some limited configurations but you CAN'T set the directory of the call buttons.

500 series phones wont register after recovering password
I had to recover the password for a UC540W and followed the standard procedures that I am aware of. I went to rommon, , copy start to run, change the password, no shut on the interfaces, saved and rebooted.
The 7900 series phones work with no problem but the 525 and 504 are stuck downloading the xmldefault.cnf.xml file. It would seem that there is some other item I need to adjust during the password recovery.
What else would possibly be affected by a password reset that would selectively knockout the 500 series phones?
I did a factory reset on the 504g phone and it loaded a default screen but didnt register with the UC540.
The statements for the phones loads are listed:

What else would possibly affect this that I could check.
I have a demo in the morning and am waiting on SCC support to fix my serial number so I can order support. So in the meantime I am stuck.
I could upload my config but I dont have time to clean it. I know this is a simple one line statement issue so if you have any ideas please let me know.
Also no changes were made to the configuration before or after this problem other than to reset the password.
ThanksI thought about that but it was isolated to one series of phones.
I was working on the unit and had to do work on the wireless to get the 7925 working. I edited the voice wlan and changed from wep to open. After it uploaded the changes.... both phones started working.
It must have been security related as whatever statements were changed related to the wlan config.. it allowed the phones to complete registration.
I wish I could find out what caused it.. but I do have the cca logs. I will bring it up with cca feedback.

I have an iPhone 3G. I removed the simm card and placed it in another phone. Now I want to use it to just play music. I keep seeing a message on the screen that says the simm card is missing. Are there settings I can use to prevent this message?
no are gonna need a SIM card in the iphone for it to work even to play music on it

i did the ios5.1.1 update and now the volume on my phone doesn't appear when i push the buttons on the side of the phone. occasionally i see them, but my speakers won't work for playing videos or music either. it does ring when i receive a call though, and for my alarm. ne1 else had these problems?
I have had this happen to me on 3GS, 4 and 4s. Usually the solution is one of the following:
1- If your volume indicator says headphones even though they are not plugged in, then:
Stick your headphones into the headphone jack and then remove quickly.
2. If that does not work Power your phone off. Then when restarting Reset the phone by pressing the home button and the power button at the same time until the apple logo appears.
3. Make sure you have not chosen to send audio to an Airplay device such as Apple Tv.

On my iPhone 4, people cant hear me when I make and / or receive normal (GSM) phone calls. But when I make/receive calls using internet-based / native apps like viber or skype, people can hear me just fine. I have tried recording my voice using voice memos - this works. And have already tried different SIM cards but the problem persists.
I have taken my phone to an authorized Apple service center, where they restored my phone to factory settings, but still facing the same issue. They service center directed me to Apple Customer Care Hotline, where I have now spent 3+ hours explaining my issue and yet no one can resolve it. The easy answer if to replace the phone - and since it is out of warranty, I am expected to pay for it.
Additionally, the customer service has been so rude and confrontational that it has completely changed my view of Apple and its customer focus. I am a disappointed and angry customer today - people would be surprised to hear just how rude customer service was including making statements such as "Apple doesnt make infallible products, that's why warranty is needed for our products" and that "every product undergoes a problem at some stage, so do ours!" There goes whatever confidence I had...
My concern is simple - if no one at Apple and / or its CS hotline is able to address my issue comprhensively and keep telling me that they have never encountered a precedent before, then with what right can they expect me to pay for a replacement?! I am NOT here to fund Apple's research into their product faults and manufacturing.
And even though a customer is out of warranty, is it too much to expect an Apple product to work well for at least a 'reasonable' period of time. My phone is less than 18 months old and has been facing this issue for the past 2 months - surely the longevity of Apple products is more than 18 months!
Just a sad sad day for an Apple customer, compounded by unjustifiably rude and aggressive staff. And still no resolution to my problem.I am having the same issue - with my last 2 iPhone 4's. My first handset each time I was on a call wether it was up to my ear or on loud speaker, the call would automatically mute even though the mute button wouldn't show up as highlighted. Pressing the mute button on and off during the call doesn't fix it either. I rang Apple and asked what some of their trouble shooting solutions were. I got told that it might be a software issue and to install the latest software update. This failed. I then got told to uninstall the software on the phone and do a complete restore. This also failed. After trying the troubleshooting suggestions, I took the phone into my provider and they sent me out a new phone within a week under warranty claiming it was a hardware issue and probably just a "glitch" with that particular phone. This was not the case....
After receiving my second iPhone 4, I was hopeful that it would work. For the first couple of days, making/receiving calls was not an issue. Until after about a week, the same problem started again. In one instance I had to hang up and call back 4 times and the call would still automatically mute after about 5 seconds. Also on the second handset, the main camera located on the back of the phone has red and blue lines running through it and can't take a decent picture. So back to the store I go to get another replacement - Again.
For a phone that is rated highly and as a keen Apple product purchaser, I am a bit disappointed with the experience I have had with the iPhone 4. Let's hope they find a fix sometime soon because this is becoming a bit beyond a joke.....!! -
Missed activity due to lost phone.
I lost my phone and was without one for a week. Is there any way to recover lost text messages or attempted phone calls? It is important to me, as I lost a new number I was not yet able to save to backup assistant!
Please help.If the phone is still active, report it as lost and have it deactivated ASAP! This will prevent any unauthorized charges.
As far as recovering text messages - if the phone is on and receiving messages, you need the device to read them. You can view numbers the messages were sent from, but not the content.
If the phone is off or deactivated, messages will be stored for up to 5 days and delivered when the device is active again. Any longer than 5 days ago are lost.
Calls will either go to voicemail where you can get info on incoming numbers, (press 5 during playback for call details) or they will show in the missed call log on the phone. Since you don't have the phone, I would call VM from another phone (dial your full #, hit # when the greeting is playing) to try and retrieve any VM messages. -
8945 Directories Button not working
We are running Callmanager 8.6.2.20000-2. We just upgraded with a new devpack so we could register 8945 IP Phones. We can now register 8945 phones however we are finding out the the directories button doesn't work at all. I have see previous postings, but most of them say you need to upgrade your CUCM to a dev pack to be able to register the phone. Looking at the active phone load on one of these phones, the active load is sccp 9-4-1-9. If anyone has any ideas as to how to get the directories button to work, that would be great. Thank you
When I press the Directories button, nothing happens at all. No flicker or anything on the screen. Another thing that we just happened to notice is the time is off on all of our 8945 phones. All of my other phones are fine, just not the 8945. They are off by 5 hours.

Yes, Bridge shortcut has been removed from PS CS5. However, you can go to File->Browse in Bridge option to open the file in Br CS6.

When I pre ordered my iphone 6 i was told I was going to get an additional 1 gig of data per month for a year. It even shows it on the receipt i received with the phone. When will I see that reflected on my account. I have had my new phone for a week and used tons more data than usual and am hoping that will save me this month.

I initially tried to do this at 11:39pm last night. I cleaned up my apps, backed up to my computer and then took the plunge. It downloaded fine, everything went ok until I tried to restore backup. I received a message that there was an error in iTunes and iPhone could not be restored. I tried this three times giving up at 2:00 am. I tried again at 7:30am. No fix. Now I can open up phone and browse in safari. I can get notifications that a text was received or a phone message left but I can't receive or make phone calls, retrieve phone messages, or access any text features. Also I have NO purchased apps. I use my phone got work and this has ruined my day - please help!!
I would start with going to O2 with the phone and making sure it's set up properly - maybe the SIM they gave you isn't quite right or their network isn't acknowleding it like it should.
Seeing as you've tried restoring to factory settings and resetting network settings, I'm assuming you've tried restoring the phone as new, just to see if that helped at all. If that didn't help, you definitely need to get in touch with O2 and work things out with them.

Ever since I updated my iPhone 4S and my iPad 2 to IOS 6 all my iMessages are coming to both my iPhone and my IPad. How do I stop the iMessages I send and receive on my phone from receiving on my iPad as well? I have tried going into my settings and making sure I'm only set up to receive iMessages to my cell number and not my email....but that didn't fix the problem.
Here the way to do it, for both, or for only one Go into your settings, Messages and turn on iMessage. It will then send messages that are iMessages to both your iPad and iPhone. You can also turn off this feature on the iPad if you do not want to receive messages on the iPad.

I updated the software for my iPhone 4 from 6.0 to 7.1.2 and now pictures (contact picture/picture ID's) no longer appear (take up the entire screen) when receiving or making phone calls. They only show in a small circle which is not convenient at all. How do I fix this, please?

my power button is not working and my phone doesn't wanna turn on i've tried to charge it so it can turn on like i usually does but it's not turning on
Hold down on the home button simultaenously holding on the sleep wake button (power button) hold it for more than 15 seconds this will then shut down the device.
If the device is already shut off do this same sequence to see if you get an apple logo. If you get the logo allow the device to login. Write back if this does not resolve your issue.

My iPad air is missing some apps from my phone. It keeps saying, " there is not enough storage available to download...." I purchased additional storage twice, my device now shows 18GB free of a total 25GB, and still I cannot download apps I've had for yrs
iCloud space is for backup only.
You need more local storage; free up space on iPad:
Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Delete what is not needed to free up space on iPad.
