Directory information that was at the bottom of the screen
How can I get the directory information that was at the bottom of the finder screens, it was very usefull.
Go to Finder > View > Show Status Bar. You can also use the shortcut CMD /

I updated to firefox 4 and it's not as good as the former version. There is no refresh button, and I use that a lot. There is no loading status bar at the bottom of the page and I liked the tabs BELOW the page address.
Why do you keep changing things, just for the H**L of it...In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload (Refresh) buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. When I am first looking at my newly uploaded photos in "Library," a box appears near the bottom of the photo that says "Loading". While it is loading, I usually think the photo looks "good". After the photo is done loading, it looks more washed out. Is there some sort of setting that I might have on (or that I need to turn on) so that this does not happen. I have Lr4. Thanks.

There used to be a way to see if poster was new to the forum.., anyway - welcome to the forum.
As I was alluding to, biggest differences in initial display are due to:
* Camera calibration profile.
* Auto-exposure/contrast settings (for which compensations have been auto-applied in camera, but not in Lightroom).
So, choose a matching camera calibration profile (whether that's an option or not depends on your camera model - they're available for many but not all models) if you prefer one of them over "Adobe Standard" (the factory default profile).
Also, your camera covers for underexposure due to non-optimal auto-exposure/contrast setting, Lightroom doesn't, so your options are:
* turn it off in camera.
* learn to compensate manually (or automatically via a plugin) in Lightroom.
Of course, in addition to preferred defaults (alt-click big "reset" button in dev module), come up with some presets which are appropriate for your druthers and type of photography.. e.g. these will compensate Nikon ADL settings:

When I'm on microsoft word on my macbook air and get to the bottom a the page, a new page does not come up. i have to manually insert one. so then when i go back to edit my work and add something in what ever was at the bottom of the page disappears. how can i stop this from happening or change it so a new page opens by itself?
It sounds like you have chosen a publishing template rather than a word processing template. There are two basic modes in MS Word: word processing and publishing layout. Word processing mode (and all word processing templates) have a continuous text box in the page for writing text. The publishing layout mode (and publishing templates) are documents that have text boxes placed for articles, titles, pictures, etc. Be sure to choose the word document template and you’ll get what you expect. Do not choose the word publishing document.

The Document Information Panel was unable to load. The document will continue to open ?
I am using Sharepoint 2010; DIP in microsoft word all the while is working fine, not sure why suddenly it came out the following error when save word doc into sharepoint.
ERROR MESSAGE

How to troubleshoot? Recently I added lookup column and a workflow into the library, but I did the same thing in another library which never appear to have any issue on it.The lookup column is creating the problem , you can find powerscript solution to fix this issue , please check this -

Dear fellow Apple owners,
Is it normal that, when I try to share something on my iphone 5, be it via e-mail or textmessage, my keyboard is no longer touching the bottom of my screen, it 'floats' in the middle of my screen, making it impossible to choose the addressee?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! First I would try backing up and erasing all content and settings, but if that doesn't resolve the issue you can use iTunes to restore your iOS device - part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.

Thank you but I have now solved my problem.
I was trying to move music files from one iTunes library on one computer to the iTunes library on another computer.
The instructions on the Apple site tell you to open sharing on both libraries and then use the Show menu button at the bottom of the window to select 'items not in my library'
What they don't tell you is that the button is on a hidden toolbar that will only appear if both libraries are logged in to the same account with the same ID and passward in Home Sharing which is in the Advanced drop down menu.
I had Home Sharing switched on in my Preferences but was not using identical IDs & passwords.
As the toolbar with the Show menu botton was hidden I could not see it until I worked out that both computers needed an identical log-in. With that done after various trial and error efforts I found the button and was able to move the files.

Whenever I open a new Firefox Browser, the other Firefox Browsers that I have minimized to the bottom of the screen all restore, (reopen up) onto the screen with the new opened Firefox Browser, how do I stop this? Just want the new one to open on screen and the existing stay minimized.

I would recommend trying to start Firefox in Firefox [[Safe Mode]] (make sure you close '''all''' running Firefox instances first), and see if this problem persists.
If not, it could be some add-on causing this behaviour - restart Firefox in Safe Mode, disable all add-ons, and enable them one by one to find the guilty one.
If it still happens in Firefox Safe Mode, some other program (or something in Windows itself) most likely is the cause. We may be able to help with this too, so let us know what works and provide as much additional information as possible to let us help you solve this.

I am trying to connect to apple support and it keeps asking me to put in the SN of my MAC and when i do it says that the SN is invalid I am putting in the SN from about this mac and it is the same as the one on the bottom of the MAC any ideas ?
Did you purchase this product direct from Apple online, in an Apple Store, or through a third-party authorized reseller? Or did you buy it from an original owner whose Applecare plan was supposed to be transitioned to a new owner, by them?
Do you have an original shipping carton the unit arrived in?
If the product was a retail 'open carton' purchase and no
back-track is possible, contact the reseller.
And if the computer had seen a major service with logic
board replaced, etc, it may have other issues with serial
number vs one they may have assigned it. Usually a
new logic board may have the SN flashed or if a unit
was determined to be a reman, a new # assigned. But
that would appear in System Profiler, if officially reman.
If you registered a product anywhere with Apple, it would show on a web page along with its serial numbers, going back several years, at this page after you log in there.

Since I installed IOS 8.0.2 (was ok on IOS7),on my iPad 4 "photos" don't scroll properly, it freezes and staggers, it's really slow to scroll to the bottom of the page (in Album, Events From My IMac) it's very annoying!
I'm not sure, but I know it's not recommended to upgrade to iOS 8 on anything older than an iPhone 5. I only lost my music playlists and music that was on my phone, but that music is also on my iTunes, not the playlists though, and I don't want to go through ALL my iTunes library to fix it either... But it seems I don't have a choice right now.
Whatever you do, do NOT upgrade to iCloud Drive, keep iCloud till OS X Yosemite comes out, if your computer is a Mac. I also just noticed that all my documents on my phone are gone from Pages, BUT if I go on the iCloud website they are still there. Hopefully it will all work itself out when I can update my macbook pro to OS X Yosemite.
If you backed up your phone and all your purchases off your iPhone prior to trying to upgrade you should be fine... But I'm not even remotely sure. -
The whole bookmarks section of my browser is gone. Also, the toolbar at the bottom of the desktop is covered up by firefos, that has not happened before and I do not like it.
Please help me set it up the way it was. I like my favorites on the toolbar.Are you in the Full Screen mode? Hit '''F11''' and see what happens.

Is there a fix for making the reply message start at the top of the Page rather than the bottom of the page. No one ever thinks to look at the bottom of the page for a reply message to a E-mail.
Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". That is probably a setting in the web-mail software, like in their Preferences panel. There is no setting for that in Firefox. -

so, I updated iTunes to 11.0.0.63 on Windows, and the new layout looks nice, but iTunes no longer gives my total song count, memory footprint, and total play-time at the bottom of the window, the way it used to. I just want to know how to get that info back. Thanks so much!Ctrl / or View > Show Status Bar should do it.
Weirdly having turned mine on the menu is not there to hide it again and the shortcut doesn't work.

For some reason the blue status/task bar that would normally display at the bottom of the webpage (shows time, etc.) is no longer visible. I do not know how it got turned off and going to view-status bar simply enables a gray bar to display that says "done". I have searched using terms like "display task bar", etc and nothing comes up but view- status bar.

The Firefox Status Bar shows messages like Looking up and Waiting for and loading and Done.
If you do not see that Taskbar with Firefox closed then you may have hidden it.
Try to move the mouse at the bottom and see if you can pull it up with the left mouse button pressed.
If the Taskbar disappear if you open Firefox the check the Properties of the Taskbar to make sure that it is always visible.
