Directory strructure containing albums duplicated when using ADD FOLDER

I have a media PC that I hold all my albumns on networked... Ive used itunes on my laptop and added the root directory to the library (add folder etc). However if i add new albums to the media pc itunes doesnt pick them up and if I re-add the route directory I get the whole lot duplicated (plus the new ones)... is there a way to refresh so itunes only picks up the new ones ?
I cant just remember the albums as they are stored by artist not album

File names get jumbled when using Add Folder to Library

I have a set of .mp3 files created by playing vinyl LPs into a software sound recorder. Each of these is named with a number as the first two characters of the file name (the track number) and then the name of the song.
I create the appropriate folder with the ArtistName and subfolder with the AlbumName in the Itunes directory and then copy the .mp3 files into the subfolder.
My problem occurs when I 'Add Folder to Library'. The .mp3 files don't change, but the names of the tracks listed in the Itunes library are goofed up. There is no strict pattern, but mainly it shows the 3rd track having the 2nd track's name, the 4th track has the 3rd track's name, etc. I have to go back and rename all the tracks to make the Itunes Library match the actual .mp3 files. (I can tell they are mis-assigned by the file sizes).
It might be a Windows-only thing, I'm not sure. Any idea how I can make the Itunes Library match its index to the actual files added when importing? Or is there some other technique I should use to import these .mp3 files?
It is possible it is related to the fact that that initially the internal data in the .mp3 files merely shows 'Freecorder' for the Album and Artist in every file.
Where can I report this as an 'official' bug to Apple?

Actually, your suggestion was somewhat helpful. It wasn't the 'Freecorder' in the Artist and Album slots. But when I look at the properties of the files generated by Freecorder in Windows Explorer, it appears the internal file names are being mis-matched with the actual .mp3 file names, so it's Freecorder that's creating the problem.
Interesting. OK, It looks like it isn't an Itunes problem after all. But it's easy enough to edit the internal properties tags (Windows Explorer/ Right-Click / Properties / Summary) before I add the folder to Itunes.

Where does InDesign CS4 get the name for the .icml file when using "Add to Assignment"?

I'm trying to figure out a larger problem with InDesign and InCopy files and was curious about where the names comes from. When I add a story to an assignment it doesn't ask me for a name. It seems it is using a name from sometime in the document's past.

Iam unable to open my album tab when playing I tunes but can open the song and artists tabs. I am a new user

Quit the app, restart and then see if the button works.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button.Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad byholding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Try a reset as well if that does not work for you.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Error when using "Add to Cart" on Orderhistory page

I am having a problem in that when I use the "Add to Cart" button on the Orderhistory page for most B2B accounts, I either get an exception or the order does not get added to the cart.

I figured out the second issue as well.
The orders are getting added - but under the same contact/user who originally placed the order.
so if I have a B2B account, with 2 users, A and B
A and B both see ALL of the account's previous orders in the Order History page.
But if A clicks "Add to Cart" on an order that was placed by "B" nothing shows up in their cart. The order was duplicated alright, but as a cart belonging to user "B", not user "A"..if you log off user A and log in as user B, you see the stuff is in their cart.
I suppose the "fault" there lies with the Orderhistory page whereby its showing all account orders, not just account orders placed by that user - but this is probably better anyway since most accounts will want to see all of their orders.
And since I am going to rewrite the handler for the button, I can just ensure that the new Order uses the CURRENT userID, not the previous order's userID.
Phew. don't you just love bugs?

[SOLVED] - Thunderbird constantly crashing, especially when using Add Ons Manager, but sometimes just when the program has been sitting open.

I was using Thunderbird earlier today when the power went out in my neighborhood. Since the power has been restored Thunderbird has been crashing early and often. I can't get the program to open unless I rename or delete the "extensions" folder in ~\Library\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile Name>
It will crash immediately if I go to Tools--> Addons. Eventually it will just crash from just sitting open in the background. I've attached the crash report below. I'm on OSX 10.10.1
I've tried deleting and reinstalling Thunderbird (both the current and previous version)
I've tried repairing permissions
I've tried using Time Machine to restore the entire Profiles folder from before the power outage.
Any suggestions? I've been using Thunderbird for years and I'm quite comfortable with it, but might have to switch to Postbox if I can't fix this.

Wrong album art when using PC library

I have a new iPad 2. I also have iTunes running on a PC.
On the PC, all of the album art is correct, but when I connect over Wi-Fi to my iTunes library on the PC from my iPad using the Music app, some of the albums have the wrong art work. Most are correct but some albums (which works out to quite a few) show the art work to other albums in my library.
Also, when I connect to my iCloud library from the iPad, all of the albums have the correct artwork. So, the problem only occurs when I connect to my PC's library from the iPad.
Any ideas how to fix it?
Is there a way to force the Music app to forget what it thinks it knows about my PC library so that it'll have to start from scratch?
I'm using iTunes Match on both the PC and the iPad.
I've searched the web and found some other people complaining of the same thing but always with different scenarios and the rare times a solution is suggested it doesn't seem to apply to my scenario.
iTunes v.10.5.1.42, on PC (Win 7, x64)

I think I just figured out one way of forcing the Music app to start over with the library. Log into a different account, reboot, and start the Music app. Then log back into the correct account, reboot again, start the Music app, and connect to the PC library. It should start from scratch.
Perhaps there is a simpler way to accomplish the same thing.
The album art appears to be correct now.

Error message 173-36 when using Add mode in SAP Add-on

I have created an ADD ON application that includes file maintenance on some master data type user defined tables (SAPbobsCOM.BoUTBTableType.bott_MasterData). When I try to add a new record to one of my tables, using a form that I created in my add on application, I am receiving the following error message in the red line area on the bottom of the screen, meaning that it is an error coming from SAP B1, and not from my add on:
Invalid code [Network master] [Message 176-36].
Network master is the name of the user defined table that I am trying to add a record into. Now, if I just ignore the message and hit the add button again, the record gets added to the table. But I need to figure out what is causing this error message so that I can get rid of it. I have tried to debug my code, but I cannot find the specific place where the error message is originating from. I only know that it is somewhere between the time I press the add button, and the time the form is reloaded to the screen. I have other user tables and maintenance forms in my application that are adding records without this error. How can I find out what is causing this error message? Thanks,

Are you using UserDefinedObjects together with your MasterData table?
MasterData and Document tables types are designed to work with UDOs. Then when you create your form you link this form to your UDO and the Add/Update/Find button works automatically.
When you create a MasterData table you have automatically a field called Code and another called Name. This two fields must be shown in your form and filled by the user or calculated in your code before the Add action takes place. Is it your case? It seems like you are trying to insert twice the same code or you don't fill the Code information...

When using Add Tags, fonts get unembedded in the process

I have to add accessiblity tags to existing PDFs. When doing this, some of my fonts become unembedded.
I'm not sure if actual pre-existing fonts are unembedded or if during the add tags function, font are introduced to the PDF and not embedded (times-roman is the font). Can anyone help?
My needs require tags and embedded fonts (absolute requirement).

You know, you are dealing with more than one variable when it comes to Tagged PDF output having embedded fonts?
Acrobat (as you have observed) is one.
Others are:
The authoring application and its tag management facility (if any or PDFMaker if using MS Word).
The Distiller job option used.
Or, if not using Adobe processes, the third-party process used to create the PDF.
Unfortunately, many of the lower to mid-range cost processes seem to not fully comply with the ISO Standard for PDF (currently 32000-1:2008).
This can result in PDF that can be problematic in its behavior(s) when appling ISO 32000 compliant "agents" (aka Acrobat Pro).
Hopefully, more of these software houses will begin to provide ISO compliant agents.

Tagged output PDF (having embedded fonts) that is post-processed (adding new tags at times) can result in a "final" PDF that has no issues with fonts or with the structure tree. I say this as it is the outcome of what I do with FrameMaker-Distiller-Acrobat Pro & Word-PDFMaker-Distiller-Acrobat Pro.
From that perspective/experience I have to disagree with you re: "a bug" in Acrobat.

Final Cut Problem - Duplicate frames when using add composite

I have a problem with Final cut hopefully someone will be able to help.
Clip A & Clip B on one layer and Clip C on another, being used as a transition between the two. Composite mode 'Add' being used on Clip C
When Clip C overlaps both clips in the timeline it causes duplicate frames in Clip B during the 'transition'. If I move it to just overlap Clip A the duplicate frames disappear.

Upon adding my composition clip, frames from the end of the first clip are added to the start of the second creating a 'one cycle loop' regardless of whether these clips are joined (as shown in my screen shot) or moved apart.
Meaning if you separate the two clips, so that there is an actual gap between them, you still see frames from the first clip where there is only gap on the track below?
If i move the composition clip so that it only overlaps one of the clips ( so not really a transition anymore) the extra frames disappear. Move it back and they appear
Meaning if you place the film burn composite over a clip without a transition, it works as expected?
My only question is if, when you adjust the clips by separating them to get your desired spacing, is there really a gap between the first and second clip, or do you drag the end of the first clip to fill in the space created by the gap? That would cause the frames at the beginning of clip 2 to be repeated as they are being shown on the end of the previous (now extended) clip.

Frame generated by Nexus 7000 contains unexpected trailer when using GRE

I have observed some unexpected behaviour on a Nexus 7000 running 6.1(2) in respect of the Ethernet II frame generated when the Nexus 7000 is a GRE Tunnel endpoint.
The device receiving the Frame is discarding it and I waiting for the vendor to confirm the reason for this discard. However in case the reason is due to the Ethernet frame being "unusual" I am curious if any one else has come across this.
To generate the Frame I perform a ping (on a workstation) which the Nexus 7000 in encapsulating in a GRE tunnel. Using Wireshark on the Nexus 7000 egress interface I observed that the Frame contains the following protocols as expected; ETH:IP:GRE:IP:ICMP:data
When I issue the command "ping -l 1" on the workstation the Frame details from Wireshark are:
Frame 84 bytes on wire
Total IP payload = 53 bytes
Outer IP header (20 bytes)
GRE ( 4 bytes)
Inner IP header (20 bytes)
ICMP (header 8 bytes payload 1 byte)
Ethernet Trailer length = 17 bytes
What is curious about this Frame is that;
a) No Ethernet Trailer is needed as the IP payload exceeds 46 bytes
b) The amount of padding applied is what would be needed if the Inner IP datagram were encapsulated directly in an Ethernet II Frame. The Inner ip datagram is 29 bytes octets and hence padding needed = 46 - 29 = 17.
By doing ping sweep from length 1 to 18 the observed padding was;
1,17
2,16
3,15
17,1
18,0
So it would appear that the Nexus is adding padding to the Ethernet frame as though it were containing the pre GRE payload only.

Prompt Values are duplicated when using the schedule option

Hi,
I'm working on a Windows Server 2003 XI 3.1 FP1.6 environment and have noticed that there are some Crystal Reports that when scheduled in the CMC, the prompt values are duplicated. When I delete the duplicate values and click Save, even more duplicate copies show up. I've run the report with the duplicate values and it seems to return fine, but it's odd that it's creating so many copies of the parameter values.
Any thoughts on how to resolve this? It only happens on a small set of reports, the other reports in the environment do not do this.

My recommendation would be to switch over to the concurrent licences. What should happen when you try to set more than 5 users as named users is that Enterprise should throw an error and say that you already have 5 named users.
So if you do somehow manage to set all 350 users to be named even though you only have 5 licenses - then yes, that would be breaking licensing. While with 5 concurrent, you can set them all to be concurrent and not have to worry about it.

Not getting contacts from address phone when using Add Invitees in iCal

Until recently, i notice when i type in 'Add invitees' for any event, it does not retrieve contacts from my address book.
I am running 10.6.4 and ical version 4.0.1 (1374).

If you ran software update your system version should be Mac OS X (10.6.5), and iCal should be Version 4.0.4.
Try downloading and installing the Mac OS X v10.6.5 Update (Combo).
