Directory structure in trash folder using cmsdk

Hello forum community!
We are using cmsdk to manage files online and have a problem with trash folder . If someone deletes whole directory, all structures are gone (only “flat files” are shown in trash) .Is there a possibility to show whole directory structures in the trash folder?
Is this a configuration promlem ?
regards,
krystian

Hello,
Yes I mean the deleted Document.
Let’s say I have a workspace with 3 folders (folder1, folder2, folder3). In every folder there are 3 docs folder1_doc1.doc, folder1_doc2.doc, in folder2 folder2_doc1.doc ...
Now I delete folder1. I see in the trash of the workspace just the deleted files (folder1_doc1.doc...) without directory structure.
What I want is to have a possibility do recover whole directory structure (folder1 including folder1_doc1.doc...).
I hope it's clear now :-)

  • How to create palylists according to directory structure in music folder?

I have a large collection (around 170 GB) of songs in mp3 format. It is stored on an external hard disk drive and carefully organized into a series of nested folders, each folder indicating the collection / album / artist / title / etc. of each song (e.g., "F:\COMPACT DISC CLUB\CLASSIC ROCK HITS\CD 1\" or "F:\THE BEATLES\ABBEY ROAD\").
After I import this collection to iTunes, I need a way to create a series of playlists folders & items that is equivalent to the directory structure. described above (e.g., playlist folder "COMPACT DISC CLUB" -> sub-folder "CLASSIC ROCK HITS" -> playlist "CD 1" or playlist folder "THE BEATLES" -> playlist "ABEEY ROAD").
Can I do something like that in iTunes? I am willing to buy some additional software if required. I am using iTunes on Microsoft Windows (but I don't mind getting advice for iTunes on MACOSX also...).
    TIA.

  • Cannot view Trash folder using Activesync email account?

I have an Exchange Activesync account set up, and when deleting an email, it is moved to the Trash folder. The problem is that BB10 does not show the Trash folder in the folder list. I have to go to my ipad to view the folder and retrieve the email. Is there any workaround for this? It seems to be by design that the folder is being filtered out.

  • Compressing directory structure using lzma sdk (7z)

    Hi everyone!
I'm a beginner in things like this, but I need to call some compression method to compress some directory structure. I considered using lzma sdk but I don't have any idea how to do this work with directories. Do I have to copy directory structure and compress files in these directories? How to make one archive file then?
Oh. I'm using package SevenZip and its main method from LzmaAlone.
    Does anyone knows the idea?
    Thanks in advance...

lzma sdk is written in java and can be used in java applications. Maybe there is someone who did something like this in the past - called methods from SevenZip package from his own project to compress directory structure, not only single file.

  • Change Directory Structure Created in MPZIP file

I'm trying to standardize my Multisim projects for inclusion in our documentation control system. As I build my project, I have a directory structure that I'm using. When I include the files in the project, the directory structure is remembered in the MPZIP file. However, the default is to unpack all files into the External(Project Name) folder. Following the help,
Extracted Path—The location to which the files will be extracted. The default is <project name>External\filename, for example project1External\amplifier.ms12. Use the drop-down lists in the Extracted Path column to select other locations as desired.
I can go in and change the directory path of each file using pull-down boxes. This makes  a manual process and if I include datasheets, specifications, and dxf files, is quite time intensive. Is there a way to default to having the project to unpack to the old directory structure? Is there some other way to automate the unpacking? I can manually zip the old project structure, but other than the form of the directories, the MPZIP is so convenient.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Doug,
When you unpack the project, the default is to create a new folder and put everything together since it is unlikely that the new computer will have the same file structure as the computer where this project came from.  If you want Multisim to create the same file structure as the original, you can click in the cell under "extracted path" and select the old path, if the folder doesn't exist, Multisim will create one.  Unfortunately, you will have to do this for each item on the table.

  • Import already existing directory structure into DFS namespace?

    Hi all,
I'm planning to migrate three file servers to a single DFS namespace and after reading the official docs and numerous blog posts I'm still unsure about the right way to do it.
The "main" server already has a share with a complex directory structure, called \\server1\team, and that share shall become the root of the new DFS namespace, lets call it  \\domain.local\team.
Part of that already existing directory structure is this folder: \\server1\team\admin\communication\archive. The folder "archive" contains thousands of files in numerous folders and shall become a dfs link to another share \\server2\archive. But
before I can create the folder "archive" as a dfs link I have to create the folder "admin" in the dfs hierarchy of course, then below that the folder "communication"
Question: When I try to create a folder "admin" in the dfs namespace, I get the error message "the folder cannot be created in the namespace. The file exists."
Ok, the folder "admin" indeed exists, but how can I "import" this branch of the existing directory hierarchy into the dfs namespace?
Do I have to rename the existing folder "admin" to e.g. "admin2", then create the dfs folder "admin" and move the complete directory structure below "admin2" to "admin"? Or can I simply make the existing folder
    "admin" a dfs folder?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards
    Christoph

    Mandy, thanks for your feedback!
I have to describe my problem more precisely: creating the root of the new DFS namespace is *not* the problem. This worked for me exactly as you expained it. The problem appears when I try to create a folder below that root in the DFS namespace. If that
folder already exists in the share you cannot choose how to handle security settings but you get an error message, and that's it.
This may be helpfull to explain what I want to achieve:
    Old structure:
\\server1\team - folder admin - subfolder "archive" - lots of subfolders and files
Now I want to move all files and folders from "archive" to \\server2\archive and link this share into the new DFS namespace, so that our users don't notice any change when they access that archive folder.
    new structure:
    1. Create DFS namespace root: \\domain.local\team  -> \\server1\team   (works!)
                |
    2. Create folder admin  (problem!)
                |
    3. Create subfolder "archive" -> \\server2\archive (not possible becaues "admin" couldn't be created)
I could perhaps create a DFS namespace with the root \\server1\team\admin\archive and link that to \\server2\archive, but I would like to avoid creating a new namespace for each share which from \\server2 which I mount into some subfolder of \\server1\team...
    Thanks for reading.

  • Trash folder in Library

    Hi,
Is it possible to make this trash folder in a Library hidden for other users.
We want to give users access to Library which will have may folders. But we do not want this trash folder visible to users. Is it possible? How to do that?
    Thanks
    dm

I don't think it is possible.
The trash folder inherits the security configuration of the Library, and it would not be a good idea to override this - it probably is not possible (an FdkException would likely be thrown)
You can rename the trash folder using Web Services, but you cannot move it.
I was curious and tested whether it was possible to relocate the trash folder in to some sub-folder hierarchy under the Library, but this failed. I was thinking you may be able to remove discover access on the sub-folder hierarchy - and then have the trash folder essentially non navigatable to.
I think you are out of luck - unless you decide to disable the trash configuration on the Library.

If you copy the recordings from AVCHD cameras, you must copy the entire storage device with its directory structure intact.
I have even tried copying BACK files onto the camera and they do not show up in the transfer window under the last clip.
There is no information for those clips in the AVCHD storage device's directory index files. That means there is no way for the computer to find them.
Your last resort is most likely [ClipWrap|http://www.divergentmedia.com/clipwrap] now, unless you can get the storage device exactly back into the state it is supposed to be according to the index file.

  • Changing file name and directory structure for use outside of iPhoto

    Hi,
I was wondering if its possible to get iPhoto to name the files from my library to reflect the names that I've given the files in iPhoto. I'm thinking along the lines of iTunes, where its possible to chose in the preferences how the files are named, and there is some logical directory structure, such as "Artist/Album/01 - Track 1.mp3". These file names are updated to reflect any changes made in iTunes.
I've heard the argument that I shouldn't ever want to do anything with the files themselves because iPhoto can do everything I would ever want to do, but I want to organize the files so that not all of my organizational work is lost if I decide to stop using iPhoto and transition to a different system. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Adrian

    Adrian
    No it's not possible.
You can rename the files before bringing them into iPhoto, you can rename them with the titles on Export (Use the File -> Export command, it gives you the option to use the title and filename) but when it's inside iPhoto you cannot rename the files.
However, all is not entirely lost. Using Film Rolls (View -> Film Rolls) you can move pics between rolls, name rolls, create rolls and so on, as long as you do this in the iPhoto Window, and these changes will be reflected in the iPhoto Library Folder.
If at some point you decide to chuck iPhoto then (if the new app won't read iPhoto database files) you can simply export each album you've created to a Folder (using the File -> Export command as I suggest above), this, along with exporting slideshows will preserve your organisational efforts.
The iTunes database has a rather simple job to do: track a file and it's assorted metadata. iPhoto, on the other hand, tracks a file and it's assorted metadata, plus a Modified version, plus a thumbnail. If you consider what happens when you edit a pic, for instance - Copy Original, perform edit, save modified version, remove Original Thumbnail and then create new one - you can see it's a rather more complex job.
Finally, the standard warning: It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss. Any changes you make must be made in the iPhoto Window.
Need more info? by all means post again.

  • Using already existing directory structure to create rolls

I'm converting from iView into iPhoto. I have hundreds of directories titled things like 011606.SamuelWasBorn/ with subdirectories in there called /Images /FinishedImages /WebMedium /EmailSmall etc... and then plenty of .tif and .jpegs inside of those.
I've been doing this one Cmd-Shift-I at a time, followed by a Cmd-A t select all, then a Cmd-Shift-N for a new album, followed by retyping in the name and dropping the date.
Sigh. I'm 6 weeks into this now and still only 1/4 of the way through.
Has anyone tried to drag and drop an entire directory structure into iPhoto's directory structure, fire up iPhoto, and have it recognize all that stuff as a whole bunch of new rolls that lack thumbnails? Would that work? Would iPhot then offer to update its thumbnails? And then would I be happy and fully integrated into my new iPhoto life?
I'm just a bit too chicken to give it a try. If nobody's tried this before, I'll create a test library and give it a go, but if someone has experience with doing this, I'd appreciate any pointers.
    Thanks.
    Oren

    Oren:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. iPhoto creates a roll with the same name for any folder of image files that are imported into it. All you have to do is select your folders of source files and drag them into iPhoto's open window.
If you want to use iPhoto's alias feature you can keep your current source folders and drag them into a library that's setup to not copy the files into it but use alias files. The library works as a conventional library with the exception that if you delete a photo from the library it does not delete the source file. That must be done manually via the Finder. I've created some Tutorials to assist users to convert over to an alias based system or go to an iView based one.
I use iView as my primary image management and iPhoto's alias feature to create a library of the same source files. That way I have the best of both applications. Also, when using the alias method, the importing process is much faster. Good luck.

  • Using iPhoto with an existing directory structure on HD full of jpgs

I'm using iPhoto 6. I recently moved 7,000+ photos (jpgs) off my PC onto my new Mac harddrive. They are organized into dozens of folders and subfolders. How can I use iPhoto to work with the pics within this directory structure? I tried dragging and importing several different ways, but it never preserves my extensive directory structure (just puts them all together into one big pile). I set it not to make a copy when importing. I just want iPhoto to "point" to my existing directory structure, so I can see my folders and subfolders on the left side (and from there I'll create albums and pages stuff). Thanks, Robin

    Hello, Robin,
    Welcome to the discussions.
First, you have to consider that iPhoto organizes differently from what you are used to doing. It is designed to allow you to do your organizing from within iPhoto, using film rolls and albums. That way, you do not have to be concerned with how and where iPhoto stores the actual photos.
If you want to keep the same type of organization that you have now, you can import the photos one folder at a time, so that iPhoto puts each folder into a separate film roll. You can change the date on import, since iPhoto will give the roll the date of import, not the date of the photo.
To get the subfolders into folders, use the album creation feature in the Source pane and create the albums and folders to suit your organizational needs and drag the photos into the appropriate locations. One of the great features of iPhoto's album function is that you can have a photo in more than one album.
Please take a look at iPhoto's tutorial here:

    Hello,

              $exclude = array( 'cgi-bin', '.', '..' );

                        --$level;
              $folders .= "</node>";

When I test this function manually it returns the proper structure.
But when I call it with help of ZendAMF there is nothing returned and the sandclock is spinning infinite ?!

Yes it is correct, thats the way you listen for a result of a specific function when using the zend framework.
I have other projects running very good like this.
