Directory Structure Problem

Hi i am niew to EJB
my directory structure is like this
App
-----JSP,s
-----WEB-INF
--------classes
-------package name
-----------servlet class file
-----PAckage Name
-----------Sesion Bean Class File
my servlet is calling the session bean but when i open this app in weblogic builder it only shows jsp/servlet related setting
what is the correct directory structure
jsp is calling a servlet which in turn calles a session bean
kindly tell me
Puneet

I don't know why but weblogic builder sometimes behaves weird. Anyway, my suggestion is to try out to edit your application.xml manually.
good luck,
Fehmi

  • Changing directory Structure Problems

I've created a new Flex Project with a new directory
structure that I'm unable to import! No error message, anything...I
would like to be more specific, but I have no clue about what's
    happening...

There may be additional details you could provide to help us
    understand the situation.
So you create the project in Flex, move folders around,
export the project, delete the project from FB (but not from the
file system), and then try to import and it fails? What happens, at
what point during the import to show that it fails, and how are you
    importing it?

  • Problem with package and directory structure

    Please... I need help with a directory/package structure that I don't understand
    why it is not working...
I want to create a custom login SWF which several other SWF movies will use in case they need some kind of login logic (in this case it is a login logic... but the problem doesn't have anything to do with that logic...)
I have created a FLA movie (LOGIN.FLA) and two helper classes (MAINLOGIN.AS and MAINLOGINEVENT.AS)... they are all under the same directory, for example:
    c:\
         abc\
              def\
                   ghi\
                        login
In LOGIN.FLA, I have included the source path, c:\abc (for example).
MAINLOGIN.AS and MAINLOGINEVENT.AS, have both a package like:
         package def.ghi.login
MainLogin class uses MainLoginEvent (it dispatches events of that type)... but I don't have to import anything as all 3files are in the same directory...
LOGIN.FLA has its class defined as def.ghi.login.MainLogin
And that's all... now comes the problem:
    1. If I leave everything as described and try to publis LOGIN.FLA, it throws error 5001 ("The name of the package def.ghi.login.MainLoginEvent doesn't reflect....) for class MainLoginEvent... don't understand why... it is placed exactly as MainLogin and has the same package definition!
    2. I have tried several other options, but when I get the SWF to get published, then, the problem comes when trying to use this SWF from another movie:
The way to publish LOGIN.FLA with no errors is: MAINLOGIN.AS and MAINLOGINEVENT.AS with empty package definition ("package" alone...) and LOGIN.FLA with class MainLogin (not def.ghi.login.MainLogin)... LOGIN.FLA doesn't have to include source path to c;\abc in this case. This way, I can publish LOGIN and get LOGIN.SWF.
The problem now is how to use this information from another Movieclip... I want to be able to use and receive events of type MainLoginEvent but can't (it gives error 5001 again, on MainLoginEvent, saying that the name of the package '' doesnt' reflect....)... If I include the path to c:\abc\def\ghi\login on the FLA, then it gives errors in MainLogin when trying to use a class of its library...
Basically, the problem here is that, the movie which wants to use the LOGIN.SWF, is in c:\abc\def, and it is including the source path c:\abc, so if I import def.ghi.login.*
it is when it throws error 5001 (I understand why, but I dont know how to fix it...), but if I dont import def.ghi.login.* then I can't use MainLogin nor MainLoginEvent...
What is the good way of doing this kind of structure... mainly it is creating a SWF, which can be used from other SWF's and which can dispatch events, which the container SWF will capture...
If anyone can please give me a hint... THANK YOU!

Hi kglad , I don't understand the first point... "don't use absolute paths"... I'm not using them (or I don't understand what you mean).
For the second one... the structure is like:
    c:\
         abc\
              def\
                   LOGINCONTAINER.FLA
                   ghi\
                        login\
                             LOGIN.FLA
                             MAINLOGIN.AS
                             MAINLOGINEVENT.AS
In LOGIN.FLA, I include the source path c:\abc, so MAINLOGIN.AS and MAINLOGINEVENT.AS have a package of "def.ghi.login", and the class for LOGIN.FLA is "def.ghi.login.MainLogin"... when trying to publish LOGIN.FLA, Flash throws error 5001 for MAINLOGINEVENT...¿?
What I want to get is a SWF (LOGIN.SWF), which can be loaded from any other SWF (in this example, LOGINCONTAINER.SWF). LOGINCONTAINER.FLA, has a class path "c:\abc" (the same as the other LOGIN.FLA, because of the directory structure), and it has to be able to receive events of type MAINLOGINEVENT... that is why it has to do an import of "import def.ghi.login.*" (for example)
Any idea of why it is not working (or how to organize it correctly)?
    Thank you

  • Problem in retreiving directory structure, code needs correction

    hello there

  • Directory structure for a J2SE+J2EE project: suggestions are very welcome

Hi, I have to start coding and organizing the CVS tree of an already mature project which is J2SE. This J2SE project can be described as a "core engine" for something else, and is a quite large project, and up to now has only a command line User Interface. I organized the dir structure as this:
    /build.xml
    /src/
    /src/java/<package>/...../*.java
    /src/demo/<package/...../*.java
    /src/test/<package>/....../*.java
when I ant compile, all the .classes will be done in the "build" directory (reflecting the structure in the "src" dir):
    /build/
    /build/java/<package>/....../*.class
    /build/demo/<package/...../*.class
    /build/test/<package>/..../*.class
I am happy with this, but now comes the issue: a web interface to use this core engine (it will have the same package namespace) is in developing progess, so I have to put somewhere the *.jsp, the WEB-INF dir with web.xml and servlet sources: how would you do this? And where would you let Ant put the compiled servlet classes?
I can modify the previous directory structure to accomodate the J2EE part, this is really not a problem!
Thanks to who can suggest me a clean solution
    Alessio

Create a web-inf folder at the same level of src and
    jsp folder inside src
    i mean
    /build.xml
    /src/
    /src/java/<package>/...../*.java
    /src/demo/<package/...../*.java
    /src/test/<package>/....../*.java
    /src/jsp
/web-infSo, would you put in /src/jsp only the *.jsp?
And what in /WEB-INF ? What woud you put there? Would you do something like:
    /WEB-INF/web.xml
    /WEB-INF/src/<package>/..../<my_servlets_and_j2ee_stuff>.java
    /WEB-INF/classes/<package>/..../<my_servlets_and_j2ee_stuff>.java
In this manner sources and classes are in the same tree, it does not seem very clean to me, expecially if you consider that probably I must have a "test" directory to unit test some j2ee stuff (as for the j2se stuff in "src"): how would you do that?
Is this directory structure anyway what you meant or not?

  • Directory Structure Errors

In TechTools ( came with Applecare ) i got a failed on Directory Structure, second time since owning my couple month old machine, first time apple recomended reloading.
i dont mishandle it, dont bump, dent, etc, the laptop.
but all of a sudden sometimes my USB keyboard/mouse wont register as being plugged in all the time / techtools HDD errors.
only recent think if done is instal Onyx to look over the logs, and little while after ( days ) the issues started hapening,, same with last time, but didnt think it was Onyx, now im starting to wonder, anybody else have any issues like this, and Would Onyx couse it ( doubt it, but since onyx goes deep into the system, no idea )

It is an interesting coincidence that I came across this thread today because I had the exact same issue myself last night.
I have plenty of space available on my HDD 73.1GB.
I downloaded the latest Onyx last night and when it starts it checks the disk. I got an error on the startup volume so I ran Tech Tools as well.
TechTools came up with that same failed Directory Structure error.
I next tried to reboot the comptuer holding down Apple/S and entering fsck -fy
That resulted in errors. Tried re-running it 3-4 tims to see if it would resolve anything but got the same error with every attempt.
I then booted from DiskWarrior and ran that. It seemed to correct a number of issues and now TechTools, Onyx, Disk Utility etc. find no problems. But it was kind of an odd occurance and interesting to find I was not alone in getting that last night.
The odd thing though is that I also checked my Mac Pro while I was wating on this one to finish and had directory errors on that one as well so had to run DiskWarrior on both.
I was kind of concerned about that to say the least.

  • Directory structure after upgrade to iPhoto 6

After upgrading to iPhoto 6, it appears that my photos were copied from the old, date-based structure into a new directory structure, but the old structure was left behind.
What is the layout of the new structure, and can the remaining old structure be discarded at this point?
Thanks for any insight you might be able to offer...

The new structure organizes photos into Originals and Modified folders. There is a third folder called Data that contains thumbnails created for the photos (smaller pictures used for better performance). These three are essential for iPhoto 6 to work.
Each folder contains a folder for each year (a year folder is created if you have even one photo from that year, e.g. a photo from 4/3/2004 will create a folder called "2004" and any other photos from that year will then be placed within it.
Every import creates a serially numbered Roll folder within the year folder. So if you import photos including IMG_234.jpg from 4/3/2004, for example, the location of IMG_234.jpg will be:
    iPhoto Library/Originals/2004/Roll 1/IMG_234.jpg
And Roll 1 will have other photos imported in the same session. If you modify the photo within iPhoto (enhance, retouch, etc), the modified copy will exist in:
    iPhoto Library/Modified/2004/Roll 1/IMG_234.jpg
The Data folder will contain a thumbnail for the image in the same path as the Originals:
    iPhoto Library/Data/2004/Roll 1/IMG_234.jpg
So inside the iPhoto Library folder, you will see some files and those three folders with their sub-structure folders. Other things within the top level of the iPhoto Library folder, are leftovers from the previous structure - such as a folder called "2004" or "2005" that ISN'T inside Originals, Data, or Modified folders.
PhillyPhan's advice is sage. Don't mess with the insides of the iPhoto Library. However, I did verify on my own system after I upgraded, that year folders at the top level of the iPhoto Library are from previous versions of iPhoto. So you could move those, and those only, to a separate folder on your HD. I moved those off to a DVD-ROM and haven't seen problems since.
Remember: Don't touch any files, and don't touch anything within Data, Originals, and Modified folders.

  • Directory structure for servlets and webservices in one application

    hi,
Can any one help me for creating servlets and webservices in one
application and deploying in Jboss 4.2.0.
I want to know exactly what is the directory structure for creating this
application and what are the additional .xml files for deploying this application.
if any one know this answere please tell the answere.

I figured out a solution - it's a problem of policies. In detail: Server1's codebase entry (file:) refers to the class directory of Server1's project. In the simple case of only Client1, which has no codebase entry, it works fine without a file permission on the side of Server1. In the complex case of Client1+Server2, which has to have a codebase entry (file:) refering to the class directory of the Server2's project on a separate machine, for exactly the same method call from Client1 to Server1 a file permission entry on the side of Server1 is needed for Server1's class directory. But WHY ???
It seems to be a little confusing with the codebase entries, many of the posts are contrary to others and to my personal experiences. Some comments given by Adrian Colley throw a little light upon some aspects. Is there anybody, who can explain the whole topic, when, why, and which part of RMI application deals with codebase entries, also in case of not dynamic code downloading ? May be there is also a reference into the java docs, which I didn't found up to now.
    Thanks in advance

  • Directory structure support and sluggish touch screen

I bought a Zen X Fi2. My expectations were high since I already had a creative some years ago. (I was quite pleased with the performance and sound quality etc)
However I am a bit dissapointed with Zen XFi2- The touch screen is not very successful. The scroll function does not work at a satisfactory level and sometimes (when I want to scroll), it makes a "selection" rather than "scrolling".
Also it does not support browsing with directory structure. For those people (like me) who are quite used to drag and drop type of copying for mp3 files, it is really a pain to re arrange all the songs for ID3 tag information.
I believe these two issues are software issues and can be improved by new firmware upgrade.
I also want to take this opportunity to tell that the software (interface software) that comes with the device is totally crap- I have never seen a software that tries to control the user rather than the user controlling the software. An ideal interface software for such a device should be the one which allows user to choose the songs from any directory, drag and drop into the device.
I was going to return my Zen however after playing around for a few days, I somewhat get used to its sluggish touch screen behaviour and accepted ID3 tag browsing (which still gives me a lot of problem) so right now I am gonna keep it.
May be software developpers can work on touch screen improvement, adding the support for directory structure browsing (as well as ID3 tag browser) and work on interface software a bit more ?
    Thanks
    Best Regards

This is indeed interesting because when you say "I don't have the problems you mentioned" I believe you also refer to the sensitivity of the touch screen. This makes me ask the question if my item has some problems. Since I do not have any means of cross checking this (apparently there is no other Zen XFi2 around me) may be I should ask you this question: "When you want to browse among albums for example, you wipe your finger across the screen so the screen rolls down; can you have it fluently like in an IPOD touch?- or does it not recognize immediately and you have to do it again sometimes?"
As for the volume button- I do indeed agree. For devices like this one; having physical buttons for at least volume, mute, stop/pause is a "must"! Choosing, browsing or starting a song is not a big deal however muting, stopping or changing the volume may be needed instantly from time to time. It is very unpractical to browse for volume, find it and adjust it!
Also may I add that for such a nice device, there should be a remote control on the headphone/earphone cable and should employ at least stop/play/mute/volume/forward/reverse buttons. I mean think about it for a while- why would you want to take use this device- apparently not to watch movies at home! You take it with you and listen to music, while cycling, jogging, skiing, roller blading etc. It is so difficult taking out the device from your pocket, browsing for volume button and turning up and down the volume (while cycling for example!) or skipping to next song with one touch!
    Cheers

  • Data guard: OMF and directory structure

    hi everybody,
i guess this problem is not too complicated, but maybe i´m missing something.
    assumption:
    - 10.2.0.4
    - data guard with physical standby (primary: node_a, standby: node_b)
    - primary db_unique_name=primary, standby db_unique_name=standby
    - using OMF, primary db_create_file_dest=<myDir>/oradata
    - standby_file_management is set to AUTO
    - want to use same directory structure for data files on both nodes (<myDir>/oradata/PRIMARY/)
data guard is working as expected so far, data files on both nodes are created in <myDir>/oradata/PRIMARY/datafile/
    next assumption:
    - failover is initiated
    - physical standby is recreated on former primary node (node_a)
from now on, data files are created in <myDir>/oradata/STANDBY/datafile/, old data files remain in <myDir>/oradata/PRIMARY/datafile/.
is there a way to avoid a second directory (and still use the benefits of OMF)? at least at the current standby node it´s possible to avoid this by setting db_file_name_convert, but what about the new primary?
    thanks for your input,
    peter
Edited by: priffert on Sep 14, 2009 3:07 AM

I have a similar setup with the exception that I'm using ASM for datafiles. The issue I'm having with OMF is that if I create a datafile within a disk group that is not in the location specified by db_create_file_dest then on the standby it's created in the db_create_file_dest. Apparently this will not give me the ability to maintain the exact configuration on both primary and standby without requiring modification after role changes.

  • Import already existing directory structure into DFS namespace?

    Hi all,
I'm planning to migrate three file servers to a single DFS namespace and after reading the official docs and numerous blog posts I'm still unsure about the right way to do it.
The "main" server already has a share with a complex directory structure, called \\server1\team, and that share shall become the root of the new DFS namespace, lets call it  \\domain.local\team.
Part of that already existing directory structure is this folder: \\server1\team\admin\communication\archive. The folder "archive" contains thousands of files in numerous folders and shall become a dfs link to another share \\server2\archive. But
before I can create the folder "archive" as a dfs link I have to create the folder "admin" in the dfs hierarchy of course, then below that the folder "communication"
Question: When I try to create a folder "admin" in the dfs namespace, I get the error message "the folder cannot be created in the namespace. The file exists."
Ok, the folder "admin" indeed exists, but how can I "import" this branch of the existing directory hierarchy into the dfs namespace?
Do I have to rename the existing folder "admin" to e.g. "admin2", then create the dfs folder "admin" and move the complete directory structure below "admin2" to "admin"? Or can I simply make the existing folder
    "admin" a dfs folder?
    Thanks in advance!

    Christoph

    Mandy, thanks for your feedback!
I have to describe my problem more precisely: creating the root of the new DFS namespace is *not* the problem. This worked for me exactly as you expained it. The problem appears when I try to create a folder below that root in the DFS namespace. If that
folder already exists in the share you cannot choose how to handle security settings but you get an error message, and that's it.
This may be helpfull to explain what I want to achieve:
    Old structure:
\\server1\team - folder admin - subfolder "archive" - lots of subfolders and files
Now I want to move all files and folders from "archive" to \\server2\archive and link this share into the new DFS namespace, so that our users don't notice any change when they access that archive folder.
    new structure:
    1. Create DFS namespace root: \\domain.local\team  -> \\server1\team   (works!)
                |
    2. Create folder admin  (problem!)
                |
    3. Create subfolder "archive" -> \\server2\archive (not possible becaues "admin" couldn't be created)
I could perhaps create a DFS namespace with the root \\server1\team\admin\archive and link that to \\server2\archive, but I would like to avoid creating a new namespace for each share which from \\server2 which I mount into some subfolder of \\server1\team...
    Thanks for reading.

  • Directory structure is IPNAME_DBNAME instead of HOSTNAME_DBNAME?

while installing the enterprise manager along with the fresh installation of oracle, the directory structue used is IP_DBNAME. usually the installation createse directory structure as HOSTNAME_DBNAME. is it possible to change the directory name from IP_DBNAME to HOSTNAME_DBNAME.
also i have the EMCTL urls as http://IPADDRESS:port/em
can i get it to http://hostname:port/em
you can refer to the direcotry under the $ORACLE_HOME
    eg:
    $ORACLE_HOME/hostname_dbname
    thanks!

Frist, I suggest you to specify the OS platform you use.
Next, check how your host is solving names.
Are you using hosts file? or DNS?
    Is your system dhcp enabled?
Verify the hosts file include a fully qualfied name and a hostname:
    IPAddress FullyQualifiedName Hostname
You can live with this configuration as long as you don't change the IP Address. In case it is causig problems, then you should then deconfigure and reconfigure your EM Console.

  • Application Development Directory Structure

I work with a team consisting of five programmers who want to rewrite a suite of software developed in C/C++ to Java. This will consist of numerous application programs; none of which are web-based. We use the UNIX OS and will access an Oracle database using JDBC. We also maintain our source code using CVS. We want to deploy each of our applications as a separate jar file. We would also like to identify either individual applications or groups of applications as Java packages. Our problem is setting up our development directory structure. We've been struggling with various structures, most of which work fine if our source files don't have a package statement, but we've had no luck finding a package statement that works.

They aren't "extraneous levels", they are fundamental
requirements of Java. Have a look at this
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/java/interpack/
    ackages.html. Any beginner Java book/article/tutorial
should explain packages. Thanks for the url, I have perused numerous java books and searched the Sun site, but haven't found anything precise. In some locations I've seen it recommended to separate the source and classes in different directories, while other sources have them together in one file.
Also, in response to an earlier comment, I think
having different related applications under the same
development tree and separated by packages is much
easier to maintain/use/develope than having them all
completely separate. We will have approximately 50 applications, with about 25 related to one application area and the other 25 related to another application area. The source for each of these application areas will be under CVS. To me it doesn't seem like the most convienent way to manage the software. But we'll have to do what we'll have to do.
