My computer had a problem recently that had been fixed to a point. The previous problem was that it was constantly trying to convert and revert windows from an update and it was in an infinite loop of failing restarting and converting. It was eventually
resolved by a system restore to the previous day. In person I am a gamer but am still quite new to computers and tried to download the game world of tanks and ended up with this message when trying to launch "WorldOfTanks.exe -System Error: The
program can't start because d3dx9.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fic this problem" so I did and found out that it was actually a problem with directX and so I looked it up and this lead me to the following site (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-gaming/system-error-the-program-cant-start-because/261e2bb5-2e75-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5?auth=1)
and continued to download the link set by the microsoft employee however was stopped by this message with and without a Ethernet cable "Setup could not download the file. Please retry later or check network connection." I looked up on the Microsoft
site "DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer won't install on windows 8" and only got support for windows 7. This is where I currently am and hope to get help soon.

Peut-être que la DLL est corrompue, par la faute d'un autre programme.
Le mieux serait de réinstaller DirectX. Vous le trouverez sur le site de Microsoft. Attention de bien prendre la version compatible avec votre système d'exploitation ( soit Windows XP ou 7 ou 8 ET 32 ou 64 bits).
Par ailleurs, pour les systèmes 64 bits, il est spécifié que cette DLL doit également être présente dans C:\Windows\SysWOW64\.

I've re-installed Edge Animate several times now, even restarting computer between installs. I use Animate frequently enough that this will become an issue if it cannot resolve soon. Please help.

The G-Force visualization from Soundspectrum does not work as expected on Windows 8.1 - d3dx9_43.dll is missing - Incompatible application

I get this message when I install the G-Force visualization from Soundspectrum on Windows 8.1. It says that d3dx9_43.dll is missing and is incompatible with Windows 8.1. it was for Windows Media Player on Windows 8.1. The visualization was only for Windows
XP/Vista/7.

I made a test in our test enviroment, Windows 8.1 X64 Enterprise, no problem with it.
According to the error message, it should be directX problem, your system lost d3dx9_43.dll. please install the DirectX Runtime to solve your issue:

According to the SoundSpectrum website, after completing the process, it required XP/Vista/7. It worked on my Vista computer, while my laptop did not. After installation, it canceled, and now d3dx9_43.dll is missing.

Hello, This has been happening to me since the regular Edge Animate CC. Whenever I try to start the program it simply tells me that I am missing d3dx9_43.dll. I tried installing the latest directx 9.0 from june2010 and I even took the seperate dll from it and tried copying it into my edge animate's directory and its still giving me this error. I also tried to run as administrator and it did not help at all. My operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

DirectX should be installed as part of the Edge Animate Installation on any windows system. Did you get any error during your installation?
Can you share the install logs from:
1)C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers
2)C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Temp\amt3.log
3)C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Temp\PDApp <Date>.log
Also can you follow the below steps and check if this works:
1)Uninstall Animate
2) Install DirectX from the below link
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8109 or web installer http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=35
3)Restart your PC
4)Install Animate CC 2014
5)Save the install logs from the above mentioned location
6)Check if animate launches and report back with the logs if you still see the error.

Je voudrais utiliser Adobe EDGE Animate CC mais après l'intallation je n'arrive pas a le lancer.
Au lancement j'ai un message d'erreur qui apparait et me dit qu'il me manque D3DX9_43.DLL :
Des que j'appuie sur Ok, le message ré-apparait aussitot et je suis obligée de couper le logiciel via le gestionnaire des taches.
Je possède bien ce fichier pourtant dans C/Windows/System32 :
Et il apparait également dans le dossier d'installation du logiciel :
Je tente d'installer le logiciel via Creative Cloud.
Pourriez vous me venir en aide ?

Windows: Is it possible to optimize space usage, when both Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird are installed? I see that some files are the same in both applications (mostly common DLL libraries) - even 10 MB

I think that the best idea is to add one folder: Mozilla shared, just for all shared libraries.

Hm.. it is nothing critical. Not a bug, error nor mistake. Just my idea.
Just thought about it as in similar applications:
All Open Office software use shared libs, Microsoft Office too.
And it could keep both Firefox and Thunderbird up to date. Now both applications update seperately, and many files (compressed, but still) are downloaded two times. The biggest files:
d3dx9_43.dll, D3DCompiler_43.dll, mozjs.dll
but there are many others.
You should decide if it is worth to show my sugestion..

Bridge CS6 crashes when I apply metadata

The problem started suddenly last week. If I try to apply metadata or keywords to an image, Bridge closes. Sometimes I can apply one or two keywords before this happens, but not many and it always closes after applying more than a few keywords. Before this started, I had no problems with Bridge CS6.
Have tried updating graphics card drivers, resetting preferences, rebooting, changing the locatioon of the photos, with no luck.

Adobe CSXS Extensions update failed on multiple CC apps

I am cross posting this on this forum because there has been no response on the CC specific setup forum, only several other users that are having the same issue. Hopefully this might actually get some attention here.

I have tried several of the solutions mentioned in that document. Some of it is out of date as I am specifically having issues installing the Adobe CSXS Extensions 4_4.0.2 in the new CC apps, specifically:
Prelude CC
Premiere Pro CC
Photoshop CC
Illustrator CC
InDesign CC
Dreamweaver CC
InCopy CC

Basically, the installer is saying that the file it is getting from the server does not match the checksum that it is looking for for that file. Hence, both the CC Application Manager and AIR (which I have removed and updated) think that they are getting a bad file. I have also tried installing these updates without any virus, firewall, or port protection. I have also tried safe mode and the like.
The main issue is that the only way to get this update is through the cloud. Every workaround for this issue for earlier CS producs said to just download the update directly to avoid the checksum issue. This is not possible with the CC apps as the updates are only available through the cloud. I should also note that, for most of these programs, they are fully clean installs. I have not even opened any apps besides Photoshop and Illustrator which I did before the update was posted, so I can't imagine why I would need to spend most of a day uninstalling and reinstalling what is essentially a clean install to begin with. I think I will just have to take this directly to Adobe support as I know I'm not the only one with this issue but there have been no solutions posed even when full logs are provided.

Adobe Illustrator CC will not work

I subscribed to CC last week. I downloaded Illustrator along with a couple of programs. Whenever I try to open illustrator, I receive the error window "Adobe Illustrator has stopped working: Windows is checking for a solution to the problem." I have tried to delete and reinstall and it did not fix the problem. My computer is more than sufficient to run the program. I have an i7 with 8g Ram. I am running Windows 7. Has anyone encountered this issues? I would appreciate any advice.

Bridge "The operation could not be completed" Windows 7

I've seen this issue discussed with bridge not starting up on macs.
I'm having this issue running windows 7 professional 32 gigs of ram intel xeon x64
Bridge worked fine for a while and now wouldn't start.

Illustrator did not install sucessfully.

I recently had to uninstall my creative cloud and its apps, as my system hardrive was getting too full. I used control panel to uninstall the programs and apps.then used creative suite cleaner tool to ensure there is not residue of them on the computer. Then I reinstalled all the apps again through the creative cloud app. However Illustrator did not install properly apparently some plugin couldnt be installed. and was given the following log data. Owl Orphanage - what happened?

Today I opend PS CS5 on Win 7 64 bit and got this message:
owl orphanage: Photoshop.exe - System error
The program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
OK, I'll do that when I'm back home. But I still want to know why this dll simply diappeared from my computer?
and then... I ignored the error, PS opend and for a time everything worked just fine despite the missing dll. now i wanted to use a simple brush (50 px 100% hardness) to create a mask and all i get is little saturn images????
any ideas why?

I have only one plug-in installed and that's the NVIDIA Normal Map Filter (Win7 64Bit). I tried to deinstall that but I keep getting errors and it won't deinstall. I reinstalled both Photoshop CS4 and CS5 (though CS4 runs OK) and the Owl Orphanage message keeps coming.
It may be connected with the NVIDIA Normal Map Filter plug-in. But I did some research on the Owl Orphanage and found related bug reports for CS4 from 2008, so this is a Photoshop issue.
I can very well work with CS4, so it's no big deal for me. But it's a bit annoying when I accidentally open CS5 (most of my pictures are pointed to that).

Please do the following.

Running workbook from .bat fails to start application missing CORE40 dll

I have been running several workbook via windows task scheduler / vbscript &/or bat files.
I now have a new box which I access thru Remote Desktop Connection, so I can run all these automated updates without having my screen blinking everytime a shedule workbook starts.
If I click on the actual Discoverer icon, or the discoverer workbook shortuct, all works well.
If I click on the .bat file, or try to run the workbook via the cmd , it gives me the following error:
DIS4USR.EXE – Unable To Locate Component
“this application has failed to start because CORE40.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.”
The dll is under c/orant/bin/core40.dll, which is where I've read it should be, and it works fine in my regular box...
Please help! URGENT :)

Check the PATH environment variables for the machine you are on and the one you are connecting to.
You might not have Discoverer's objects in the PATH.
Another possibility is that you have more than one piece of ORACLE software on the machine and you may need to also set the ORACLE_HOME within the BAT file.
