Disable Accessibility options

For some reason I ignore (maybe an update or a change of some system settings I thought were not related to it), a few weeks ago Acrobat prompted me to set up the Accessibility options.
Since then, text smoothing was disabled (I was able to manually re-enable it) and Acrobat runs a "reading untagged document" prompt when opening documents.
This is slightly annoying as it takes time when I open each document. I have been able to reset most options, but I would like to disable the Accessibility wizard altogether as it was a few weeks ago because I fortunately don't need it.
Anyone can tell me what change might have triggered this behavior and how to revert it? Thanks
I have Acrobat 9, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits.

Try this: http://www.noratek.net/2008/10/22/desactiver-letape-content-preparation-progress-sous-adob e-reader/
It works for me on Version X.

  • How to disable (hide) accessibility option in logon pad?

    Hi all
How can I hide the accessibility option in logon pad? Or is it of any use if we do not implement / setup accessibility (see thread Accessibility- Logon Pad)?
    Kind regards,
    Renaud

    Hi Disha
In the bbpglobal/99/logon template coding there's a option called ~dontshowaccessibilityonlogin. Great I thought... and set it to 1 in SICF service of BBPSTART (BBPGLOBAL isn't there), invalidated all caches and restartet ICM. Unfortunately I had no luck... in a second try I then put this parameter in BBPGLOBAL via SE80 and published this IAC service re-invalidated all caches again and restarted ICM again as well... again: no luck!
In the template coding I can see that the ~dontshowaccessibilityonlogin parameter is used and as far as I understand it, it should be taken into account correctly.
    `if (~dontshowaccessibilityonlogin != "1")`
              <tr>
                <td class="loginlabel"><label for="acc" tabindex="0">`#ACCMODE` </label> </td>
                <td class="loginlabel"><input type="checkbox" id="acc" name="~accessibility" value="`~accessibility`" class="entryColor" onclick="return setaccmode();">  </td>

    `end`
    What am I doing wrong?

  • Disable Bluetooth Option

I was able to configure mac to restrict copy to external connected drives. But iam wondering how to disable bluetooth option so that data transfer to a bluetooth device can be avoided. Is there a way we can disable or remove bluetooth option in Macs?

  • The administrator has temporarily disabled access

Some of the bundles under my client's ZENWorks Window when they try to run them manually give an error:
the administrator has temporarily disabled access to this application
I checked the bundle in ZCM and it's enabled, no restrictions etc... but for whatever reason they won't run. They used to run fine. We are 10.3.3 on ZCM running on Windows.
    Thank you.

  • Disable "Deactivate" option for all applications in CS4 Design Standard

I am deploying portions of the CS4 Design Standard Suite to a few hundred workstation with a volume license key.
I need to disable the option of "Deactivate" under the help menu. Using the CSDT the registration can be disabled
and after installation it is greyed out for the selected suite applications. We have users that will tamper with it
"just because" its there so removing access is essential. Ive tried adding <Data key="Deactivate">Suppress</Data>
to the AdobeUberInstall.xml with no success.

Well Bob the fact that its available makes people curious as to what it does. My feeling is that if its not present then that reduces a potential problem. The users are all over the country so its not possible for me to walk over to them and ask why they thought it necessary to deactivate the application. I am fully aware that VLK's dont need to be registered DUH! But thanks a lot for the stating the obvious and posting nothing useful.

  • How to disable access to Information OnDemand Services from InfoView

Is there any supported way of disabling 'Access Information OnDemand Services' option on InfoView
toolbar and home page in BOXI R2 SP3?

    Hello,
This requires modifying JSP files. Please backup all files before mofying them.
Also, to the best of my knowledge this is supported. That said, this does not mean that the modifications will stick through updates/patches. Could someone from BO confirm?
This is how we did it (Java Infoview).
    Go to
    C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\Infoview\main\
Open headerPlus.jsp, and comment out the following section:
    <c_rt:if test="<%= isOnDemandInstalled %>">
    <fmt:message var="ttOnDemandHome" key='main.home.link.ondemand'/>
    toolbarCtrl.add (newIconWidget("btnOndemand",
    "<%= context + schema.getUrl(application, "img.toolbar.ondemand") %>", onBtnOnDemandClick,null,
    '<%= Encoder.encodeJS((String)pageContext.findAttribute("ttOnDemandHome")) %>', 16,16,3,3,25,3));
    </c_rt:if>
There is an alternate way to do the same in the following SAP Note (I have not tested this)

  • Anyone know how to disable access to the settings on a 79xx VOIP? Or require a PIN to access them?

I am trying to lock down a 7945/60/70/75 model VoIP so users aren't able to see the network settings? Can this be done? CUCM 8.6

Yes, at device level or common phone profile
    Settings Access:
Indicates whether the Settings button on the phone is functional. When Settings Access is enabled, you can change the phone network configuration, ring type, and volume on the phone. When Settings Access is disabled, the Settings button is completely disabled; no options appear when you press the button. Also, you cannot adjust the ringer volume or save any volume settings. By default, Settings Access is enabled.

  • Dsc: disable access to operative system to certain users

    Hello,
i need to disable access to certain users of my apliccation to the operative system,
so they can't access to the desktop.
    Thanks for your help.
    BG.

If you want to disable special windows keyboard keys while your VI is running, you can do that from Toos>>DSC Module>>Options. Click on Advanced tab, Security Preferences, Advances and enter the security level.
Now you need to set those users that you want to block a security level lower then the number you entered at the tools option.

    Update to above question:
    Hello All,
To anyone with the same problem described above, on THEIR iPad (if it is running iOS 7.0.2):
Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; DELETE your *******@btinternet.com e-mail account, that you originally set up either using 'Other', or the 'BT' option which I am sure was in the list previous to the iOS 7 update.
Then ADD a NEW account choosing YAHOO from the list of options. DO NOT USE 'OTHER'.
Enter the correct details just as you (almost certainly) had already done in your previous attempts using 'other'.
When you see the 'verifying......' and 'the blue ticks' you should be able to exit settings and open your mail app and then receive all your 'old' e-mails again, AND be able to SEND as well.
All my 'old' e-mails, were NOT found in the 'old e-mail' folder though. THEY are still in my inbox.
So this fix worked for me.
After I deleted my account from 'OTHER' and put it in Yahoo, I like other people also ended up with more folders.
I hope this works for you on YOUR Apple devices.
    Bob

  • Disable Accessibility Setup Assistant?

I am using the Adobe Customization Wizard utility to create a transform file to then install Adobe Reader 11.0.0.x via a group policy.  Upon first running the Reader after installing with the transform file the Accessibility Setup Assistant dialogue box appears.  Is there a way to either disable this or preset the accessibility options to take the recommended settings and skip the setup process using the customization wizard?

Posted too soon, I found it.
It's under the Advanced option in the Bluetooth menu in system preferences.

  • Disable access to the cloud storage feature for Creative Cloud for Teams?

Is it possible to disable access to Creative Cloud Files when using Creative Cloud software for Teams/Volume Licensing customers? We're considering moving to Creative Cloud subscriptsions instead of traditional licensing and the ability to turn this feature off would be the easiest way to comply with our company's security requirments.
    Thanks.

BrickyB, This is what the Creative Cloud FAQ says,
My organization wants to block access to certain services, such as storage and access to community features, available through Creative Cloud. Is this possible?
Yes, your IT administrators can block users from accessing the online services.  The online services and their URLs are listed here.
As an administrator, you will also be able to deploy Creative Cloud desktop applications independent of the cloud-based services using the Creative Cloud Packager. The Creative Cloud Packager is available through Creative Cloud for teams.

  • How to disable the option of "Overprint [Black] Swatch at 100%" in Indesign by Java Scripting

    Hi Guys,
We have a requirement where we have to disable the option of "Overprint [Black] Swatch at 100%" in Indesign. This option is available when we go to Indesign ---> Preferences----> Appearance of Black.
Also, if a user opens a file, in which the swatch is already enabled, then it should prompt him for disabling.
I am aware of doing it through AppleScripting, however I would be needing it on both mac as well as Windows Workstations and hence as such I require a JavaScript here.
I am novice to JavaScripting and any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks Everyone,
    Abhishek

    Thanks for your response!!
However, currently this action gets applied to only active documents.
Can we keep the status disabled after we close the indesign document. We need to have it disabled in the preferences panel.
Thanks again for your help !!
    Regards,
    Abhishek

  • How to disable the option of "Overprint [Black] Swatch at 100%" in Indesign by Apple Scripting

    Hi Friends,
I am new to Indesign Scripting by Apple Script. As a beginner, I am trying to do some basic scripting in Indesign by Apple Script.
My aim is to disable the option of "Overprint [Black] Swatch at 100%" in Indesign. This option is available when we go to Indesign ---> Preferences----> Appearance of Black.
Also, if a user opens a file, in which the swatch is already enabled, then it should prompt him for disabling.
I can make a display dialog in AppleScript. But, I am bit unsure as how can I go ahead and disable this option. I tried this below script:
    tell application "Adobe InDesign CS4"
tell every layout window to set overprint preview to false
    end tell
However, it is changing the view option to overprint preview.
    Appreciate your help and suggestions!
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

    tell application "Adobe InDesign CS5"
              tell the active document
set overprint black of document preferences to false
              end tell
    end tell
