because they are not needed, how to do that?

Hi Oliver,
I found the same context menu in notepad application in windows. I assumed you want to delete context menu items. I would recommend you open your thread on Microsoft Answer forum. This forum is to discuss CLR programing issue. Please refer to

  • Create an context menu item to open a file on a specific display

    Hello,
    I have an external display connected to my MBP, but I don't always need to use it so it's not always on. I'd like to have a way to open a file (or application) on a specified display on a case by case basis. I know that I can assign an application to open on a specific display by right-clicking on the app in the dock and selecting options->assign to. The problem with this is that it's a global change. When I'm working on school work, I usually like to have reference material (pdfs, wepages, etc) open on the external display while I'm working in Word on the MBPs monitor.
    What I'd like to be able to do is right click on the file (or app) and use a context menu item to open the item on a specific display. Does anyone know of an automator action/applescript/terminal command to create a context menu item like this?
    Thanks.

    I use "Open Terminal Here" script for that:

  • Disabling Delete Option in Context Menu

    Hi Experts,
    I have created a  KM Navigational iView for a BO Repositry Folder and  used 'BOBJELayout'  Layout set for it.
    Now in comtext menu i am getting all options like view , history , scheduling , Delete etc.
    For administrator it is ok , but  for end user, i want to remove or disable particular options like 'Delete'.
    How to do it ?
    Please help.............
    Regards,
    Ajay Singh

    Hi all,
    Thanks for your support
    problem is solved to some extent .In my scenario working with BO repository , i was unable to to control the context menu
    ( though i didn't try RS suggestion yet) from KM  but it can be controlled from BO itself.
    In context menu Delete option is getting displayed but its not working if user doesn't has sufficient authorization at BO side . So user will not be able to delete any report from his/her login which was the main concern. But How to hide or remove 'Delete'  option
    from Context menu is still a question.
    I am keeping this thread open so that i can revert back with some solution for it or for your's solution.

  • Disable Right Click Context Menu in XP "OPEN WITH ADOBE READER 8"

    How can I eliminate the right click context menu "OPEN WITH ADOBE READER 8" in Windows XP?
    I have general familiarity with removing context menus. I see no option for this one in msconfig, or various context menu editors. I am unable to find a setting in Adobe Reader 8. If you know where the setting is, or have solved this problem, please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Joey

    That would be the device Metadata from the print driver vendor. It's part of the Device Stage feature mainly for client OS.
    Here is some MSDN documentation on the feature.
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/device-management
    If this is a print server, use the tools include by the print team if you are performing any management on the server.
    Printmanagement.msc
    The Devices UI is really about devices it's not designed for print management, the spooler team had minimal input on the UI design.

  • Context menu hotkey to open in new tab is different for links (T) & bookmarks (W); using T for bookmark deletes bookmark!--why?

    When I want to open a link in a new tab, I right-click and press T. I ''think'' that the same key used to work for opening bookmarks in new tabs, also. At least I developed a reflex that always chose T for a new tab, whatever I was right-clicking on. Then a while ago, probably after one of the updates I automatically install (some time in version 3.x), I started noticing something different and extremely frustrating: not only is the hotkey for opening bookmarks in new tabs now different (W instead of T), which is just poor design--but to add injury to insult, when my still-stubborn reflexes pressed T, the bookmark was ''deleted''. Gone. I have thousands of bookmarks, and I make them so I don't have to remember things. If one is lost, there may be no finding the page again.
    EDITED:
    Having posted this problem, I just realized that I've answered the why-it-happens part of the question. We're left with the why-was-it-allowed-to happen, but that's unimportant if we can put an end to the confusing behavior.
    T in the bookmark panel and menus is Cut, which is standard in all kinds of software, and that my lost bookmarks could be restored IF I remembered to paste them again immediately. (I swear I checked it out just before originally posting, and Cut didn't appear, though Copy did. Maybe I was hallucinating.) Anyway, knowing this will help with the long-term problem, but it's still a bad idea to have two different hotkeys for the same operation. Hence what needs to change is using T as the hotkey in the links context menu.
    Here's my proposal: Change the hotkeys for "Open in new window" and "Open in new tab" in both the right-click menu for links and the right-click menu for bookmarks. Right now we have:
    Links
    * Open Link in New Tab (T)
    * Open Link in New Window (W)
    Bookmarks
    * Open Link in New Tab (W)
    * Open Link in New Window (N)
    N0te that the bookmarks menu is mnemonically backwards; Window should be W. Both menus should be:
    * Open Link in New Tab (N)
    * Open Link in New Window (W)
    Can someone take care of this in an update, please?

    This also drives me nuts, I work in research online and use firefox as its tabbed browing is so good, and I ofetn have to open lots of links in rapid succession from web-pages - obviously I use right click T as the fasterst method of doing this, and I use it so ofetn that it is now a reflex.
    But, whenever I try to open a bookmark from my toolbar (much less often) I tend to deletye it, and if I am lucky enough to notice before I do anything else I have to go through a laborious process to undo the delete...
    Interesting to read the reason above, but I would suggest that this is something that needs to be standardised across all of a browser's context menus, otherwise browsing becomes jarring.
    I am all in favour of 'T' opening in a new tab from all context menus, but if this is not do-able I think you should consider picking a different letter. The N & W proposal above is good.
    Thanks!

  • Disable ALV grid context menu

    Hello ABAP experts,
    I have developed a program which shows some output in ALV grid (CL_GUI_ALV_GRID). I don't want the user to play with columns and rows of grid, so I have removed toolbar using following:
    LVC_S_LAYO-NO_TOOLBAR
    I have noticed, still user can hide or show columns and delete rows by right clicking on the grid. I want to disable right click or context menu. I am unable to get any hint so far.
    I appreciate for some good solution.
    Thanks,
    Waqas Rashid

    Hi,
    Just as stated by Max you can use the event 'CONTEXT_MENU_REQUEST' in the class 'CL_GUI_ALV_GRID'. In fact I just tried out calling the event. I set the handler for the event 'CONTEXT_MENU_REQUEST'. And then in the implementation I just called the clear method. Example is below.
    class lcl_events_split definition.
      public section.
        methods:
        CONTEXT_MENU_REQUEST   for event CONTEXT_MENU_REQUEST
                                                        of cl_gui_alv_grid importing E_OBJECT.
    endclass.                    "lcl_events_split DEFINITION
    class lcl_events_split implementation.
      method CONTEXT_MENU_REQUEST.
          e_object->CLEAR( ).  "THIS SHOULD STOP THE RIGHT CLICK MENU BAR
        endmethod.
    endclass.
        CREATE OBJECT O_CC
          EXPORTING  CONTAINER_NAME = 'CC_ALV'.
        CREATE OBJECT O_ALV
          EXPORTING     I_PARENT = O_CC.
    And before you call you grid for display below code is required.
      data: ls_spl_events   type ref to  lcl_events_split.   "Event Handler class
        set handler ls_spl_events->CONTEXT_MENU_REQUEST  for O_ALV.
        CALL METHOD O_ALV->SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY
          CHANGING
            IT_OUTTAB = T_MARA
            IT_FIELDCATALOG = LS_FIELDCATALOG.
    Hope this helps ......

    Hi,
    I am looking for a way to deactivate/disable the right click context menu in PowerPoint 2010/365.
    For the editing font menu it works with the registry entry
    Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\Toolbars\PowerPoint Create a Dword AllowMenuFloaties and set the value to zero. Set to 1 to enable again.
    NOTE This will kill ALL floatie Menus not just the one you mention.
    Does anybody know, how it works for the main right click context menu?

  • How to create a Context Menu submenu?

    I am trying to create a submenu which lists scripts in the content window - Does anyone know how to do this?
    This works:
    if (MenuElement.find ('Thumbnail/tscript') == null) var ah_ScriptsContext = new MenuElement( "command", "Scripts", "at the end of Thumbnail", "tscript");
    But the submenu does not work:
    var ah_runScriptImRnContext = new MenuElement("menu","AH Image Rename","at the end of Thumbnail/tscript");
    I've tried various combinations of 'menu' / 'command' and everything else I can think of, so far no go.

  • Package Decomposition context menu

    I am on v1215 and I love the package decomposition (especially jumping to the selected item on double-click), but I have just noticed the context menu on the procedures and functions in the decomposition.
    The only item that appears in the context menu on procedures and functions is "New ..." which is the same as the New button on the main toolbar. Variables displayed in the decomposition do not get a context menu.
    However, if I have a stored procedure or function open in the Connection pane, select it (opens the procedure/function) display the context menu for it (Open, Compile, Compile for Debug, Run, Debug, Execution Profile, Grant, Revoke, Drop, Compile Dependents) and then, without selecting the function/procedure in the Package decomposition, I right-click on it, the context menu is now New ..., Compile, Compile for Debug.
    If I reselect the stored procedure and then right click on a variable in the Package decomposition, I get Compile and Compile for Debug and the menu options.
    The same appears to happen for any object type - including views, tables, indexes, etc.
    If I then select the procedure in the Package decomposition, the context menu reverts to "New ..." and the Compile and Compile for Debug option disappear from the context menu for the stored procedure (so long as I don't select it before right-clicking on it).
    Two issues here:
    1) Shouldn't the package decomposition context menu for public procedures and functions allow the Run option (what I was hoping to find when I first tried)?
    2) The Compile and Compile for Debug options are not available consistently - they should always be available for objects that can be compiled (stored procedure, function, package, trigger, etc) and never available for objects that cannot be compiled (tables, views, indexes, items in the decomposition of packages, etc).

    Please take a look at this article by Carlos:
    HOWTO: Getting information about Visual Studio windows from an add-in
    It talks about how to get the window information, including a tool window's information. But as I tested, we can't access to the Modules window's object, it's always null:
    So I think the Visual Studio doesn't expose the ability for us to customize the Modules window.

  • Move tool layer context menu acting differently to "Auto Select"?? (using 12.0.4)

    Okay,
    This is weird. I've just updated my mac photoshop to 12.0.4 and I'm finding that, when using the Move Tool and right/command clicking on an object, the context menu that pops up isn't selecting the right layer?
    To be clear, it is highlighting a layer (this is not the initial Photoshop 12.0 bug that drove everyone mad until the update) but it's the wrong one? Results vary depending on where I'm clicking, sometimes it's "close" to the layer I want, say the group it's nested within, other times it's a million miles off.
    Yet when I switch on "Auto Select" it's pin-point accurate again? It's like the brain has dropped out of my context menu and it doesn't know what to select.
    Obviously I can keep switching "Auto Select" on, but that's an annoying change to my work flow and will slow me down no end. Mores to the point, clearly something is up here.
    I've updated to 12.0.4 on my home imac (on 10.5.8 OSX if that helps) but I've been using 12.0.3 (possibly 12.0.2) in the studio where I work and never noticed this issue, it's just now after updating to 12.0.4 at home i'm noticing this weirdness.
    Anyone have any ideas, I'm at a loss.
    Thanks in advance people,
    G

    To reset the tool I suggest click on it once and then look for something like this in the bottom half of your window:
    In the above picture I have marked one section in red box.  You need to click on it to get the option to either reset the only tool you have clicked or to reset all the tools in the editor window.  Of course you have to be in Expert Mode to get this to work.
    Good luck.

  • "Edit in Photoshop Elements" missing from windows context menu.

    How do I get the "Edit in Photoshop Elements" back in my context menu? I think what happened was that after installing PSE 13 I uninstalled PSE 12 and that may have removed the context menu item. Just guessing. Is there a way to add it back without re-installing PSE 13?

    Right click on a photo file of the type that you will want to open in PSE. In the context menu, mouse over Open With to open the menu. Select "Choose default program" and in the window that opens select PSE 13 if it appears in either Recommended or Other. If it isn't shown, choose Browse and navigate to the PSE 13 .exe file in Programs/Adobe/Photoshop Elements. If you want files of this type to always open in PSE when double-clicked, check the box "Always use the selected program". If you want PSE 13 to only appear in the Open With menu, be sure the box is not checked. Click OK.

  • Disable Context Menu - Flash Professional Export (Flash 11.2 - CS6)

    Flash 11.2 added the capability to attach an right-click mouse-event to MovieClips.
    EX:
    var mc:MovieClip = new MovieClip
    mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.RIGHT_MOUSE_DOWN, myFunction);
    When this listener is attached, it should be impossible for the Context Menu to pop up on right-click of this object. Flash disables the functionality.
    When I export a new SWF from Flash Professional (CS6 Mac) and that SWF is embedded in the browser, it works as expected. Right-click does not spawn a context menu.
    However, this is not the case with the flash player within Flash Professional. The flash player presented within Flash Professional just after export will does not hide the context menu.
    While it's possible for me to develop by simply exporting the SWF and testing it in-browser, I lose out on all the debugging that Flash Professional offers.
    How do I fix this issue?
    NOTE:
    This issue isn't with exporting to 11.2 - I can already do that. All changes mentioned in this tutorial have already been made with base install of Flash Professional CS6.
    running:
    trace(flash.system.Capabilities.version)
    results in:
    MAC 11,2,202,228

    I've got the same problem!
    I'm currently using Adobe Flash CS6 and I don't gave an idea of how to deploy my apps to be published on the Mac App Store!
    If you find the answer, please, let me know!

  • Disabling context menu

    Dear Expert,
    My requirement is to disable the context menu for certain / all parts of BExweb report.
    How could this be possible for either the whole report or just some parts of the report? Seems like whatever is shown on the report I can click and the context menu comes out. I want to suppress this.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
    Select your web item, e.g. a table in your web template and in the properties for that web item, remove the check mark in the option: "Objects with navigation links". This will disable the (BW) context menu for that web item.
    If your using the standard web template 0ADHOC for displaying your web reports, you need to copy 0ADHOC, change the option mentioned above for the web items you want and then change the default web template in the BW customizing.
    Hope this helps,
    -Jacob
